s2 bc again aesthetics…. and these two mourning their father and the angst of sam dying and coming back and having to deal with dean leaving him so soon…..

s9 bc of dean!! how aggressive he is towards sam.. his possessiveness toward sam just practically inflates.. it’s no longer hidden and he doesn’t care to either.

I completed iwtv s1 and I didn't like Lestat for what he did but even then I didn't hate him. It was understandable that he'd do that and that he was able to worse. It was simply a part of him.

And then I watched s2 and I came to love him completely. Yes I hate how he and Louis treated, my loveliest girl, Claudia but after coming to know that Claudia would always die, even that anger subsided.

I'm only left with two grieving vampire fathers who love each other dearly. I do not see any faults that make me hate them. There are things they need to work on and things they should apologise to eo about but I don't see why anyone would hate them.

Someone that I fail to give my empathy to is Armand. Him, I will never come to love. He was cruel. Though I am so very excited to witness the unfolding of his story with Molloy.

I had to say this because my mind was boggled looking at the genuine hate comments for my leading gentlemen.

From what I've gathered, the show loustat are better at being loustat than book loustat. Book loustat seem so dull for some reason. The show has done AMAZING stuff with their script and I hope they keep up with it.

bllk s2's animation is hard to watch at the beginning (which is not the animators fault but the studio) but rin looooks so pretty in them and the finale aka the final match between him and sae was chefs kiss LIKE THEY REALLY GAVE IT JUSTICE! And the additional time for young rin and sae when they were younger?? Ugh so cute!!

can't wait for the day they animate the rest of the itoshi bros childhood and my long awaited match which is rin vs isagi vs kaiser in NEL!!

anywhoo since DP is set in the future, I wonder what's readers reaction was when sae and rin faced eo in the Under 17 (?) arc if you're gonna include that one in the story. Cuz I remember there was a snippet of Sae when he came home and woke up from doing the deed w/ DP! reader and reader was like "don't leave us again". Was that when he came home for U17 or is that a diff arc/story in the DP universe?

I thought that snippet with sae was lost to time 😭 so like. that is actually a scene from an alternate version of desire path that I had to discontinue because it was giving me too much psychic damage to write. everything is different in that og version - rin is already in a romantic relationship with the reader by the time of the U20 match, and she and sae intentionally don't talk to each other at all. zero contact. if you want to know more about this original version of the fic, let me know and I can tell you! but I shall spare you for now as it would take forever 💀

BUT ANYWAY. in the current version of desire path - It is like. major drama at the U20 match. she and rin have a massively deteriorating relationship at this point, whereas her relationship with sae is estranged but she's kinda delusional about it and hoping he'll come back to her. she attends the U20 match hoping to see sae, and while they do meet up - he explicitly tells her that he doesn't want to see her again, which is something that he does with good intentions (he has a conscience and does not want to entertain her incestuous feelings), but it really breaks her heart. at this point she feels like both of her brothers really hate her. rin goes home from blue lock shortly after this, they get into a massive fight, and that's when she runs away. 😔

I think it makes the U20 a very weird event for sae - he continues to push away both of his younger siblings for their own good. it's to rin's benefit (for once) as it helps him grow as a soccer player, but it's to his sister's detriment since she doesn't have a support network. there are no good influences in her life. he acts all high and mighty to rin during those phone calls, but he's drowning from guilt over her lol

The really tragic thing is that the oc s2 era was the most interesting time for eo, individually and wrt their relationship, since Elliot came back and it was literal years ago

Maybe.

This is such a complicated question. I don't think popularity could be a high, because, there is a lot of momentum about Got, whatever, it could come close if the show had adapted House of the dragon to be what it supposed to be....a tragedy about family downfall.

But for that they should make those characters care about each other to some extension. Alicent and Rhaenyra dinamic should be approached more as Stepmom - stepdaughter. Alicent at first should care about Rhaenyra at first, then, see her as the treat for her son life. Aegon and Rhaenyra could start loving eo and then turn apart. Rhaenyra could care about their siblings, making so the war more painful for her.

That would add more to story because you going to war to someone you care about it. Their reluctant behaviour would make more sense. Until the damage was to high. So they would not need the prophecy. Even though I said before I think jaehaerys knew.i doubt Viserys knew.

The show should never had so much time jump cutting important points to stablish dinamics.

And I even talked about the problems in S2 because all have roots in S1.

This is a weird question but I'm a huge bangel fan for a lot of reasons one of which just how much buffy loves him. Usually in heterosexual romance there is a lot of emphasis on the guy and how in love he is and what he's doing to show that love etc whereas I prefer it to be for both characters. Do you have any other couples that have this, especially recent ones since I think lately that emphasis has only gotten bigger while the other side is getting lesser and lesser? All the recent couples I see the romantic declarations and gestures and pining are very one sided and that's not romantic to me if both parties aren't equally and actively feeling the same things for eo.

I'm glad you like bangel! Tbh with you, I don't know that I find that it's more about the man loving the woman. I find that is really genre dependent. Action films usually have a man willing to go all out to save his wife/family, but the gender construct there always bothered me. It's not like women aren't capable of becoming proficient killers and needing to save their husbands/families. But as far as just, regular shows go, I suppose the skew is usually to male pursuit of a female character, but that, imo, only makes sense in a patriarchal society. Tf I look like running after a man with more access to material resources and the ability to oppress me, as a woman? Buffy being so obvious in her love and affection for Angel, moreso than him, often, is, well a) it's her story, but also because the show often deliberately positions him as the damsel in distress. It's a deliberate flipping of the gender roles and power dynamics, because Buffy is not a typical girl, that's the entire underpinning of her character for the first 3 seasons. Season 1 she resists being the Slayer, and that resistance means resisting her attraction to Angel. Season 2 she begrudgingly accepts her calling but is determined to find some kind of work/life balance, and that is underscored in her relationship with Angel where he resists, but she wants to find that balance in their relationship too. Then by the end of s2 and going into s3, she's accepted her love for Angel, which means she's also accepted being the Slayer, and never being "normal". So, Buffy ends up being very unique for those reasons.

That being said, I'm not sure how you define recent, I'm assuming in the last few years, but I can't recall any Hollywood show offhand that has what you're talking about. Mostly, none of them ever have any chemistry, which is part of why you get so many of those big, corny declarations, because the dialogue has to compensate for what the chemistry lacks, but also I haven't really seen anything memorable or believable that I can remember off the top of my head. Sorry.
