As the dreaded heat of the season rolled over the grounds of the Xavier Institute . . . an opportunity to use it to one's benefit was an idea that came all too easy to Jubilee .
Healthy dosages of solar rays cascade down to meet the exposed skin of the mutant , who could be found lazily resting on an outdoor lounge chair ; the vibrancy of her swimsuit only amplified by the light in question . She maintains closed eyes as the tunes from her trusted Walkman leave her in a seemingly meditative state .
Her hum is rhythmic , perhaps even melodic ? Either way , it leaves her unaware of any potential new comers to the pool area of the mansion . However , regardless on if it was someone like @enrogued , Beastie , or even someone highly improbably like Iceman ? There was no doubt that Jubilee would welcome the company it would bring . . . after all , can't have a party with just one mutant !
For now though ? She'll continue to get her bathe on .

@Enrouged sent: if i have to think about one more thing today, my head will explode.
"Ach, tell me about it." A groan leaves him; arms outstretched along the table, triple digits idly tapping against the wooden finish; tail flicking around aimlessly in thought as his red and white counterpart sat across from him. A lot had been on their minds lately--A lot had been happening, and Kurt had decided that maybe, just maybe, they needed a bit of a distraction.
"Vell," He finally manages to sit up, yawning as his arms reach over his head, Kurt's sharp teeth glinting in the light briefly before his mouth closes and he leans back in his seat, arm draped around the back rest of it; free hand once again tapping against the tabletop.
"Vhy don't ve go out und do somezhing more...Interesting, ja? I'm sure you've got to have some ideas, Fraulein!" A grin spreads upon his features, the energy in his tail flicking garnering speed before he pushes back and slides his chair so he could stand up. "Mein schedule is absolutely clear!"

His brows can’t stop themselves from knitting together, pinching in the middle as one arm is crossed over his chest, hand holding the other arms elbow and fingers idly taping at his chin in thought. He cares so much for her—his sister, and he understood the trials and tribulations she had been dealing with; it’s only fair that she had a moments respite. “Ja, understood, mein schwester, however, I can see it written all over your face—“ There’s an attempt to reason with her, to get Rogue to understand where he’s coming from as his hand drops from his chin and now both hands rest loosely crossed against his chest.
“Even God who vould push his people, vould give mercy to their plights,” he explained, the preacher humming idly as his tail flicked behind him. “Of course, I could quote zeh bible at you all day, but part of be feels that won’t necessarily get through to you now, vould it?” Kurt’s head tilts ever so slightly, the slightest smile twitching at the corners of his lips as his shining yellow gaze softens. He just wants to be there for her—nothing more, nothing less.
“At least allow me to help zhen, ja? Give you a little less work to do…Now zhat vould make me feel better, I zhink! Doing it togezher, I mean.” A pause, and arms drop to his sides before he moves a hand to gently, yet firmly grip onto her shoulder. He could hear the bitterness on her tongue; his expression laced with concern.
“But if you need a confessional, know zhat I am all ears. Your secrets are safe vith me. Always.”

" kurt- " the exasperation is tinted with fondness for her brother's actions. so well-meaning, but ain't that just nightcrawler all over? she'll be the first to admit he's been doing a bang-up job so far. " i'm alright, really. i don't need a break. " deserve is such a strong word, almost too strong in this instance. should she take a break? almost certainly. is she going to sit idle while others work? definitely not.
" you of all people should know what they say about idle hands, preacher. and i've done the work of enough devils in my lifetime to know no-one wants that. " she stretches, arms raising high above her head, drawing the muscles out from where they've knotted themselves against her spine- a cruel reminder that even though she has the strength and endurance to handle it, she's still human under it all.
" i do appreciate the offer, hon, " she tacks on, not wanting to seem ungrateful for the offer of assistance. " but if i had to sit with just my head right now? i think i'd lose my mind. " it's bitter on her tongue; a little too vulnerable, too emotional. but if you can't tell your family those things, who can you trust? he deserves to hear it.

Re-reading Lack Of Lamb Sauce just now, just wanted to ask - what Hogwarts Houses were Jengu and Enrouge in? If you have any headcanons for that :D
It's a wonderful story!
I saw both as misguided Ravenclaws -- idealistic to a fault and seeing the world as they think it should be according to their own personal "logic," rather than how it truly is. I actually actively decided to develop original villains in Lack of Lamb Sauce for the other houses besides Slytherin, just to show how evil can come from more than just ambition: Enrouge and Jengu for Ravenclaw, Uric Cuffe for Gryffindor, and Etienne Montmercy for Hufflepuff. 💙

𝟘𝟚. .... she reached over her desk to put the pen back into its holder. Letters written silk thread thin spun across the book’s pages, edging on forever, the perfect little loops and loving from one side to the other eventually ended in a catastrophe at the final stroke. She ran her fingers over the last few words, erasing them as though they never happened, and closed the book front-first onto the desk.

She crossed one leg over the other. Vivien, vivia’e, vividly-----vivisection. She hated his molten-gold. That absurd color that shifted with every blink, mica in melted wax every microscopic vibration whenever he focused his sights on her... she hated them, Oh so, hated them. Torture. She tortured her lips with every thought occupied by that familiar annoyance. His voice reverberated echoes in the space he had carved out for himself in her brain. Bruised and bloody, Ah, she wished to make it so. The taste of iron tickled her tongue. She stood from her desk and touched her lamp from the top to the base, she watched as her nail clicked past every flaw in its marble stand. It was an itch that she couldn’t scratch. It was an annoyance she couldn’t get rid of. Why must the sky be so blue--blue, and why must the clouds be so wispy-----tipsy. Topsy-turvy. When she, so red-red from the blood seeping out of her bruised lip, was colored a different shade of melancholy? Blue from the east to the west. Gold followed the colors, riding in the sky, and Gold! She hated it. Vivien, ode to, Vivien, she placed the back of her hand behind her lamp and took her motion in a torrent to send it to the ground.
It shattered completely. From the fifth floor of her library, there was no way it would not shatter. If only men could splatter so pretty like a lamp to the floor, destroyed. Shards of marble and glass littered the ground. Specks of mica gold followed where he stepped. Leaf’d pages-----the edges of her butterflies’ wings when they landed on her, their little feet staining her clothes in gold as if they had dipped themselves into a crucible of earth’s pollen. She held her fist up into the sky and watched as her nails sunk deep into her palm, the fleshy part pulsating, the blood dripping &, ah, enrouge her. Anxiety bubbled at the back of her heart. What was this feeling?
“Don’t call me Vivien.”
Anger. It was anger.

Charity Camp Experience
My name is Phawat Viwathanasittiphong, I have a value experience of charity camp to illustrate for anybody who want do any charity camp. When i was in matayom 5 (grade 11), our whole classroom have assign to go to help school in urban area. The school that we go to is a small school that are distinct from town, the school have only one building and open space around the area. There are only 3 classrooms for three grades and only few teachers. Kids that attend this school all come from villages around the area and their families do not have enough money to send their children to better school. When my classroom arrive at school we get a warm welcome from everybody in that school which enrouge us more to help them. Everyone have their job to do for example teaching, cooking, entertaining and for me is to re adjust the classroom, but the main job for everyone is to make students in this school happy. The camp only last 2 days which is impossible to teach them everything, so activities, food and gifts that we give are more notable. During time at camp when I feel exhausted from do any activities when see kids smile that energize me to want to help these kids even more. The memories of working with my friends and giving kids the opportunities that they may not ever have are worth every energy that we put in to this camp.

Hi guys! So...for a while now, my dear reviewer and friend @lilolilyr has been doing a wonderful Podfic reading of my sprawling HP/Gordon Ramsay fic, Harry Potter and the Lack of Lamb Sauce, and I’ve loved every second of it. (Seriously, if you haven’t given it a listen, DO IT. NOW.) But yeah, recently, she did a wonderful reading of Chapter 91, and I commented praising it as always. I really enjoyed her take on my character Adrian Enrouge, even though as I mentioned, his voice was different than what I’d heard in my head. Lily replied to my comment, and she asked me how I’d personally heard Adrian’s voice...I considered simply describing it in my response, but I decided, hey -- why not try doing it this way? My sound equipment sucks and my voices are not nearly as distinctive as Lily’s, but it was still fun to give it a try after enjoying Lily’s reading so much.
