This drama is obviously one of my favorites of the moment (OCN and TVN always give me amazing dramas💕) I am loving it so much. Yoon Si Yoon is a sensational actor. We often see him being funny (like my beloved Enrique Geum😍) but he can also be serious. He's really one of my favorite actors.

Go Dok Mi (Park Shin Hye) es una editora de libros, bastante tímida, se niega a abandonar su apartamento e interactúa lo menos posible con la gente de su alrededor. Todos los días, espía a su vecino de enfrente, Han Tae Joon , del cual se enamoró a primera vista.

En el mismo edificio de Dok Mi vive el artista de Webtoon Oh Jin Rak (Kim Ji Hoon) y su socio Oh Dong Hoon (Go Kyung Pyo) cuyo último webtoon no fue aceptado por ser supuestamente plagiado de un videojuego creado por Enrique Geum. Tras este incidente Jin Rak lanza una nueva historia para convencer a su editora Kim Seul Gi, esta trata acerca de la vida cotidiana de una chica atrapada en su apartamento, y cómo su vecino de al lado le muestra el mundo. Al mismo tiempo,  un nuevo vecino japonés Watanabe Ryu (Mizuta Koki) se cambia al apartamento al otro lado de Dok Mi. 

Enrique Geum (Yoon Si Yoon) llega a Seúl desde España a quedarse en el apartamento de su primo Han Tae Joon y descubre a Dok Mi espiandolo. Luego de la llegada de todos ellos, el mundo solitario y ordenado de Dok Mi se pone patas arriba.

top 5 kdrama male leads

this question is so hard because i have so many favorites 😭

1. Minhyuk (Strong Woman Do Bong Soon)

minmin has been my #1 fav male lead for years. swdbs was my first kdrama and he REALLY set the standard for me 😩 he’s so overdramatic and chaotic. we love a king who canonically gets weak in the knees whenever his gf beats people up and smiles

2. Seongyeom (Run On)

my B E L O V E D!! i was whipped for him before the first episode even ended. he’s so awkward but confident?? i’m a sucker for soft and quirky male leads. seongyeom is unintentionally hilarious and so sweet it hurts. plus? he’s not afraid to show emotion or cry or call people out on their BS. i love him 😭

3. Moohak (Dali & the Cocky Prince)

cold/stoic male leads are clearly not my type, i like the overdramatic weird/awkward ones who looks at their badass capable gf like “🥰🥹” moohak is a recent favorite. i finished dali & the cocky prince not that long ago but immediately knew he was a new favorite. he’s so wjcjjsjdjd

4. Junho (Extraordinary Attorney Woo)

if you follow or know me well enough than this should NOT come as a surprise. i just love him 🥹 i can’t even put into words how much i adore him.

5. Yihyun (Happiness)

yes park hyungshik is on this list two times. idk why but i go absolutely feral over his characters. yihyun?? he literally pines for seobom for years and, somehow, gets a chance to fake marry her so that she can get an apartment...only for a zombie outbreak to happen. he’s the definition of ‘if you hurt my (fake) wife i’ll burn the world to the ground’ (and ofc seobom is the definition of ‘if you hurt my (fake) husband i will burn the world to the ground’). the good thing about this being a zombie outbreak is that everything heightened and we get so many moments of the two fighting side by side and going ‘who hurt you.’ plus he’s just so soft and tender and sweet but isn’t afraid to be the ‘bad cop’ (iykyk 😭)

OK, you've convinced me Yoon Shi-yoon is cute. Where should I start with his dramas? 😂

I absolutely love Yoon Shi Yoon! He's in my top 10 for SURE.

His goofy energy, his range and his sunshine-y face are GIFTS y'all! Here's the interesting thing about this boy: He enjoys taking drama risks to play unique characters so sometimes his drama choices questionable. When he hits it's amazing, but sometimes...well it's a choice i guess lol. But that kinda makes me like him even more for some reason??

My Favorite Yoon Shi Yoon K-dramas:

The Best Hit / Hit The Top: A famous 90′s boyband dude travels into the future and meets up with his family and friends in this really cute drama featuring Yoon Shi Yoon. I LOVE Yoon Shi Yoon in pretty much everything but this role was made for him - he is hilarious. It’s a slice of life but features the k-pop music industry so the setting is unique.

Psychopath Diary: What a wild ride of a k-drama! Yoon Shi Yoon plays a goofy and innocent character who witnesses a murder and then gets amnesia. For kdrama reasons he’s convinced he’s the actual murderer and begins to lean into the role. The whole thing is a bunch of crazy mixups but the chemistry between the innocent guy and the killer is just...awesome! It’s funny and creepy and a great watch.

Flower Boy Next Door Enrique Geum is a creative and kooky character who falls for an introvert. He’s soooo goofy and adorable, it’s almost like watching a cartoon character interact with real live people (plus he cuddles with puppies and look at his panda hat!). He sets his sites on an introvert and works hard to build a friendship (and romance). The show is a bit trying at times due to the annoying SLS and what I like to call “k-drama nonsense” but he’s so soft!

These will definitely get you loving Yoon Shi Yoon!! After that, you could pick some more "medium good" ones like Grand Prince, Train, and the highly suspect You Raise Me Up :P

Synopsis: This is a drama about a girl, Go Dok Mi who is a shut-in Miss Lonelyhearts type, who spends her days spying on the man living in next building. She is caught spying by her other neighbor, Enrique Geum. Meanwhile, Oh Jin Rok is the man who notices her from long ago, and knows everything about her and will fall in love with her. Go Dok Mi is a ′city Rapunzel′ who never ventures outdoors, yet has her own set of charms that makes men go weak. Oh Jin Rok is a scruffy manhwa artist. Enrique Geum is a genius creative director, who is good-looking, stylish and bohemian and can′t get enough of soccer.

My Rating: 6.5/10

My Review: Originally I gave this a bit higher of a rating but looking back on it, it's more of a middle of the road, mediocre drama. It's not that it's bad; it just just has so many clichés and isn't super interesting. The story is a a bit slow, not surprising. There aren't any twists or turns or suspense really. The acting is great, and surprisingly the chemistry between Shin Hye and Shi Yoon is great. Now the chemistry between all the other actors is....again middle of the road. I do think it's a classic Park Shin Hye and Yoon Shi Yoon drama that everyone should watch if they are fans of those actors. But it's not a super impressive drama.

My Fave Ship(s): Dok Mi and Enrique, Dong Hoon and the webtoon manager (i don't think her name is ever given)
