To explain how this particularly awkward looking girl ended up sitting patiently in Ainz's office is a long story made from multiple fragments.

First, she was sighted in E-Rantel... Back when Momon and Nabe were signing up for their Adventurer's licenses...

Then, she was seen by Lupusregina trading supplies on Carne Village before heading north... Before finally being caught in the all too unusual position of quietly camping out late one evening in one of the mausoleums on the surface level of Nazarick.

Never tried to go deeper, let alone take anything or put up a fight... Just... Camping with what little she had with a modest fire for light and warmth.

She was an interesting sight, resembling an elven girl of about the physical age of Enri Emmot, possibly a bit older, long silver hair and pale blue eyes, and dressed in dusty and tattered traveling clothes that look very worn and threadbare.

Her behavior when she was caught before was especially odd... Opting to immediately Apologize for not knowing that the area was off limits or the enchantments meant to hide Nazarick and that she has only planned on staying there for the night.

So here she is... Just... Sitting there and looking like a confused deer that found themselves on the wrong lawn somehow.

His fingers slowly tapped on the arm of his throne. His crimson eyes stared at the young, elven girl in front of him. It was concerning how long she was hidden within one of the Mausoleums, even with a constant patrol of demons and undead. It was strange, very strange. Stranger still was how she did it without utilizing any form of magic spell or item.

He would, normally, assume that she's hiding her power, and would have attacked him the moment after all the NPCs left the room. Yet still she sat, the look of frightful confusion never once leaving her face.

He sighed, even though he lacked lungs, his eyes flickering to darkness before lighting up again. Then, he began to speak. "What is your name, young one?"

Ainz Ooal Gown when he has ten op rings on his fingers in the New World. After realizing that he might be a bit overpowered and worrying about what might happen if the people of regions outside his territory decide to hold the same sort of ability to use all ten fingers to equip rings. Even inside his territory there are still people who could be threats, so he has his comrades research magic rings that automatically corrode themselves if they are equipped by someone who equips more than two rings. To limit the amount of magical rings in use, these rings grant magical abilities to those who have no magic, but can never be removed without replacing them with a different ring. He has his team research and circulate these rings to the masses starting with his main base of operations, Carne Village and to massive success helping people make their lives better not needing to worry about starting fires for their cooking or getting a ladder to reach fruit higher up on trees.

The rings thus become a popular alternative to previously existing similar items for ease of use even when relic and ancient rings can be equipped by up to ten even among magicians and the such as they allow people to access magic they typically can’t and there are even scarcely distributed rings that can minutely increase ones magic capacity by acting as an external battery.

The village chief Enri Emmot has especially made great use of these rings to better communicate with her forces as she and each of her Goblin Leaders have been given rings enchanted with the Telephone spell that allow for distant communication thus bringing the security of the territory to an all time high and productivity to incredible heights.

For the lizard men of the Southern Great Lake have been making more use of the ability to create barriers. Not just for defending their villages from invading forces, but for also securing fish in a small area after they take a more serious interest in the ‘Animal Husbandry’ thing the husband of their Great Chieftain Zaryusu Shasha had been teaching in between learning new Blade Arts in the Great Tomb of Nazarich and teaching Hamsuke Blade Arts. He himself uses both a stamina regeneration ring and a ring that increases his ability to focus.

I’m now imagining a fanfiction of this… what was the name of the alchemist of the Nazarick again I forgot.

Everyone knows people are limited to wearing two magic rings at most at any one time. This is the story of why that rule is in place.
