"...Damn, you can see pretty deep, huh?" Death chuckles a bit, but... he's clearly a little nervous. "...You can't see those transgressions, right?" He ends up asking. "I am trying to make up for all of them. Though I know I've done more transgressions in the process."
@the-players-arcade
"...Ah what the hell. Can you read mine? I mean... I'm too curious to not want to ask about it." Death admits.
"Guilt has you on a chokehold and you feel like you have a great responsibility to make up for your transgressions. Your soul knows its a long journey that awaits you and says your work will never be finished."

Ah. ...He should have come up with a better plan. "Well, I can wait here, if you'd like. While you go off and get those machines up and running." He completely fails to hide that nervous tone in his voice.
And he fails to keep his mouth shut. "I mean... you really think a Chaos Emerald can do everything the Phantom Ruby can?" Dust sounds as if he doubts it could. "Unless, you can make it be able to do so?" He was clearly talking out of nervousness, and realizing too late he might be saying too much about the Ruby.
"Not that I know anything about how Chaos Emeralds work, or know everything about the Phantom Ruby, I mean I know bits and pieces, but not every single thing."
He knows he shouldn't be surprised, to come across a world like this; One that's been dominated and controlled. He was bound to come across one eventually with a whole multiverse to potentially explore.
Still. He can't help but let his curiosity get the better of him, and look around.
Dust found himself wandering through the streets of what was apparently called New Robotropilis. What he didn't expect was how people treated him so... normally. That, and there were some others who had also been Robotizised; Some with just limbs replaced, others changed entirely.
Part of him found it comforting. To be treated like a regular person, despite the circumstances this world seemed to be in.
He soon spots a large Garden however, and although he saw the only way in required payment, he could see the statue from the outside; It was of Sonic and Eggman, together. ...And seeing the name of said Garden over the entrance certainly helped put two and two together. It was a memorial.
It only left him with one question though; Who was in control, then? If neither Eggman or Sonic were around? Course, he was going to get an answer sooner rather then later.
The Phantom Ruby within his chest was emitting quite the unique energy signal. That and it's sudden appearance within the city had most likely attracted some attention, unbeknownst to Dust.
The Phantom Ruby... A gem thought to have been lost to his grasp. Or so Neo had thought. The moment the sensors within his capital registered the gems unique energy signature, was the moment he began his search for it. On its own it wasn't much, however, if he had it, it would make for a powerful weapon.
It was most certainly a surprise to see that the Ruby was embedded within an unfamiliar entity. At first he had assumed it was Infinite, who had disappeared shortly after the False Sonic beat him. He had assumed the gem was still embedded within the Jackal's chest, yet it was within a complete unknown. He hates unknowns.
Thus, the Overlord kept a close eye on Dust. Shapeshifting every now and again to look like one of many of his loyal subjects. Only stopping to reveal himself once the unknown made their way into the garden.
The metal overlord reforms himself from a silver puddle a few meters away from dust. He pauses for a moment, before speaking. "Beautiful, isn't it?"

"...I was married, once." Hunter comments. "Had a wife. A baby girl. Had something waiting for me once I got back from the war. Or, well, I did. Then... I became this, and... when she saw me..." He trails off, going quiet. "...I'd rather not go into the details. But I'm definitely divorced, and lets leave it at that."
--
"Never been married. A relationship or two when I was younger, sure, but married? Nope." Desth states. "Maybe other versions of me have, but... I haven't. ...Haven't given much thought either, to be honest. One day maybe? Eh, who knows."
--
"Could be fun. Maybe put something in the cake to make it extra flammable. Or poisonous." Anthony speaks. "...We are talking about weddings, right? I haven't tried ruining any yet. ...But now I've got some ideas."

One more thing...
Getting something done. Their stories aren't really finished at all yet, but... I wanna add them as muses anyway. I still want to finish the stories i'm working on, but I feel too eager. Slowly writing up the muse pages for them, but I'm still gonna at least share the art.
One of three so far:

"I dont know what being off would feel like, or how it'd effect me. And I'd prefer to never find out." Dust states.
He felt relieved, that he had managed to convince Overlord not to kill him for what he wanted. Though he didn't know much about fake chaos emeralds, let alone actual ones; All 7 can be used to make someone go super, but that's all he knew. "A fake Chaos Emerald might work, but I don't know until it's tried." Though, in reality he had no intention of giving up the Ruby. But playing along was the safest option he had right now.
"How long would it take to make a Fake Chaos Emerald? It sounds like it'd require a lot of work."
He knows he shouldn't be surprised, to come across a world like this; One that's been dominated and controlled. He was bound to come across one eventually with a whole multiverse to potentially explore.

Out of all things he could expect to face, a genuine Angel was not something at all on the list within his mind. As soon as Gabriel makes himself visible, the bit of confidence Death had wavers. Unable to hide the shock and worry that becomes apparent in his gaze.
He keeps his sword drawn, but doesn't aim his blade toward the angel. He lowers it, resting it against the ground, and answers.
"My name's The Death Angel. But, ah... given what you are, I've no doubt you can tell I'm not the actual Death Angel." He states. "To be blunt, I'm from another reality. I like to travel, explore a bit. Haven't come across a world like this before..."
He figured it'd be a good idea to be honest with the angel. Fighting a divine being was not something he desired.
"As for how I'm alive, if you mean how I'm alive here, I just got here, so... I'm not afflicted with whatever... happened to the world? In general, though? Probably due to luck, and my friends. Of which I brought none with me." He certainly sounds like he wished he had brought someone with him now.
Death felt like he was being watched, almost as soon as he had gotten here, to this wrecked world. He continued to explore however, despite that feeling. Finding himself in an utterly decimated city of some sort. The inhabitants long gone and most likely deceased.
...It's as he's walking down a road that he finally stops, and listens. For something, anything. A creature's growl, someone's breathing.
All he can hear is the howling wind. And yet, still, he feels watched. So he draws his sword, unable to hide how nervous he felt.
"Show yourself." He demands. Part of him hoping to be wrong.
✞ " Be careful who you give orders to. "
A voice, like thunder, heard everywhere and yet from nowhere in particular speaks with a naturally commanding authority, enunciating clearly each word. Its only when he finishes speaking does he allow himself to be seen, appearing in a lifting veil of light. An angel, standing his large form atop a low roof and looking down at them.
He doesn't wait to let them begin talking, he simply immediately demands answers. " I am watching you because you are an anomaly. What are you? Why are you here..? Not so much as an insect has roamed this land in a decade-- how are you living..? " If they are even something alive.

"..." Could he run? Maybe a little, but he had no doubt Overlord would catch up to him. Fight, maybe? Not the best idea either, seeing as he didn't know all that Overlord was capable of. He didn't even fully know everything he himself could do with the Ruby. He can't just give it up, though. ...He could leave, but... Overlord was most likely fast. Fast enough to potentially follow him through whatever portal he makes before he can close it. And he can not risk that.
Dust's not moving away, but he is keeping his eyes on Overlord as he began to approach. Trying to figure out some way to solve the situation he had ended up in.
"Do you have it on hand? A replacement?" He suddenly asks. "If not, I can't give it to you right this second. I've no doubt you might be able to modify what kind of power source this body could use, but I'd rather not be turned off during such a procedure." It wasn't a No. He knows he isn't in a position to say No, not against someone so powerful. But he can ask for that replacement, before he gives up the Ruby.
He knows he shouldn't be surprised, to come across a world like this; One that's been dominated and controlled. He was bound to come across one eventually with a whole multiverse to potentially explore.
Still. He can't help but let his curiosity get the better of him, and look around.

"Sure? ...I don't have anything to fan you with on me, but uh..." Death does a quick look around, before picking up a small pillow and attempting to fan her with it as best as he can.
"This helping?"
"Uh... I don't have really anything on me to help cool you off? ...My hoodie certainly wouldn't help." Death says. "...I can try getting you a fan from somewhere? Maybe?"
"A hoodie would not help the situation though I could use the aid of you fanning me." Dead clasped her hands together. It came out more as an order than a request. Maybe it was just the heat that was getting to her.

"...It certainly sounds like you put in a lot of effort and delicate work into it." Dust comments, walking toward and standing alongside him. Looking over the graves once more. "Well Overlord, I'm Dust. It's good to meet you."
He crouches down in front of Sonic's grave, resting his hands on his knees. Staring at the emblem. Clearly thinking about something. "...I used to look up to Sonic. After some... things, that definitely changed, to be honest. I respect him, but I still... hate him? Hate feels too strong of a word though. Upset feels too weak. ...Angry. I'm still angry at him."
Then he looks toward Eggman's emblem. He's quiet for the moment, but he can't hide the look of hate that shows in his eyes. He still remains quiet, though.
"...Now, what was it you said? I have something you don't?" Dust stands up, turning his full attention toward Overlord. "I'm not sure what, unless you mean..." He trails off. He's quick to realize what he meant, his eyes widening.
He immediately moves one of his hands to cover his own chest, but he doesn't back away. "You can't take it. I'll help you find another, if you'd like, but you can not have mine. ...You'd be asking me to give you my heart, seeing as it's what's keeping me alive." That, and it's how he travels between realities. But he doesn't want to risk giving a reason for Overlord to want to take it anyway.
He knows he shouldn't be surprised, to come across a world like this; One that's been dominated and controlled. He was bound to come across one eventually with a whole multiverse to potentially explore.

He's quick to turn around and face Neo, immediately tensing up, clenching his hands into fists. He takes a moment to process what the other had said, and glances back at the Statues, and at the surrounding garden.
"The garden? Or the graves? ...Both look good, i'm just a bit unnerved by the graves, to be honest. Cause where i'm from, they aren't dead." He admits.
He turns to look back at Neo once more, taking a good long look at him. Obviously trying to figure out who he is; There was something familiar about him, but he could only really guess...
"Metal Sonic? Is that you? I'm sorry, I've never seen you look like this. The only time I ever really saw you was when I faced a copy of you made by the Phantom Ruby." He finally relaxes, letting his hands simply rest at his sides.
"...I should probably explain; I'm from a different reality. Or timeline? Universe? Hell, I don't know what to call it. I'm still a bit new to doing it. Anyway... I'm guessing you run things here?"

Rewrote Dust's backstory a bit. I'll update his page with it but ah, in case ya'll don't feel like clicking links and stuff i'll be putting it in this post too under a read more!
I think it's fine? Not uh, a multi-chapter story (For now at least) but it's meant to just be a sort of summary.
Dust was originally a Mobian Wolf who was part of the Resistance against Eggman; Throughout the war, he lost more and more of himself in a literal sense due to injuries sustained in multiple battles. Rather than wait to heal, he'd simply get robotic replacements so he could continue fighting.
Eventually, after seemingly sacrificing himself by using a Phantom Ruby Prototype to stop a false sun from being dropped on everyone, rendered unconscious and practically in a coma, he was captured by Eggman, who then turned him into a mostly robotic life form, powered by the same Phantom Ruby Prototype he had used to stop him.
Eggman had intended to erase his memories and turn him into a killing machine against his allies, but it was thanks to Infinite he kept them. Though upon realizing what he had been turned into, that he had survived his own sacrifice and yet that sacrifice hadn't hadn't insured Victory, Dust no longer simply wanted to defeat Eggman.
He wanted him dead.
He arrives just in time to help defeat the Death Egg Robot, however he ends up getting ahold of the Phantom Ruby rather than let it be destroyed, at the time not knowing what to do with it, though he didn’t let the others know he had it.
Sonic and the others were eager to celebrate their victory, Eggman once again beaten and defeated, but Dust wasn't satisfied. He attempts to chase Eggman down, but upon confronting him and readying to kill him, he’s stopped by Sonic. Dust lashes out, and the two brawl. Eggman gets away during the battle, and the two end up exhausting each-other. Dust flees, feeling betrayed by Sonic.
Eventually though, Dust manages to get ahold of Omega, asking for assistance with something. Omega brings along Shadow and Infinite, and Dust requests help with changing his power source out for the actual Phantom Ruby. During the procedure, Dust talks with the three; It leave him unsure what he wants from his life. And after the procedure is complete, Dust bids his goodbyes to the three. He uses the Ruby to leave his dimension, deciding to sort of go soul searching. To figure out what to do with his life.

(Been playing the new Sonic game; Sonic X Shadow Generations. Haven't touched the Shadow part yet, been playing Sonic Generations first. ...And I admit it's kinda making me think of doing stuff with Dust again. But I'm working at the moment so ah, can't really do much right now.)

"Purgatory? ...I definitely didn't intend to end up here." He states, lowering his hand as she chose to bow instead, and ends up resting his hands in the pockets of his hoodie.
Course, he can't help but notice how formal Dead is being with him. "Well, it's nice to meet you too, Dead. ...Have you heard of me before? I admit I don't know why it'd be an honor to have me here, otherwise. And just Death is fine, don't have to call me Mister."
"Ah, hell. Uh... ma'am? I'm sorry, I got a bit lost." Death admits. He had no idea where he was, and had certainly not intended to end up here. ...Where-ever this was.
"Mind telling me where I am? ...I'm The Death Angel, by the way. But everyone just calls me Death or Angel for short." He finally introduces himself, offering a handshake and giving a gentle smile. He certainly didn't look like any actual version of Death, though.
Ah, another entity of death! This one seems more above her level so Dead will be cautious around this new creature that stepped into her home. She's used to certain kinds of reapers but this one belonged to another realm. She kept a safe distance from Death, just responding with a simple bow.
"Hazama, or as other people call it Purgatory. You may refer to me as Dead or Dee. Its an honor to have you here, Mr. Death."

So I recently played through Silent Hill 1 for the first time. I've only played Silent Hill Downpour and Silent Hill Shattered Memories, and the HD port of SH2 on Xbox. Ended up getting the Good+ ending. And I definitely enjoyed playing through it, though it felt like I kinda tanked the final boss with all my healing items cause I didn't know how to dodge its attacks.
Could replay it if I wanted? But at the moment a single playthrough is good enough for me. Anyway...
It's really damn good. It's a shame it's stuck on PS1, though if you have a PS3 you can get it on the Playatation store and play it on there.
Legally you can't play it on PC cause it never got a port of any kind as far as I'm aware. You can only emulate it.
Silent Hill 2 though, not the remake but the original, is abandonware on PC, and you can find an Enchanced Edition mod for it as well. Plan on playing that next.
Anyway. Silent Hill 1 still holds up I think. Genuinely creeped me out at times, and the music is still wonderful. The puzzles were neat, and I only had to look up how to solve one puzzle and where to find a door I couldn't find for the life of me. It's not necessary to play to understand Silent Hill 2, but it does help you understand the town a bit, and it's a good idea to play it if you wanna play Silent Hill 3 probably.

Cause I kinda just... wanna ramble about stuff for fun. I dunno. If you don't wanna see me rambling and stuff, I'll think of a tag yall can filter for it.)
