Being in a relationship with Enki Ankarian...
Tumblr media
Being born with the Enlightened Soul, Enki was cursed and blessed with a restless need to constantly seek for new knowledge and secrets hidden away from the massive community of common folk. Such a trait had started manifesting within him at a very young age, as he was chosen to become a Dark Priest upon his and his twin sister’s birth.
Despite their rather close relationship, they were pitted against each other, typical to such occult rites, and had to fight to death with ritual daggers. Unfortunately for him, Enki was born with a frail body, that only remained fragile due to his extensive overindulging in studying, and lack of going outside or doing any kind of physical activities - Thus, his sister easily overpowered him, her dagger on his neck, waiting for the final blow.
She, however, showed mercy that he was incapable of, and withdrew her dagger, stepping away, as the high priest masters glared gleefully at the ridiculously pitiful event unfolding before their very eyes.
Unable to accept defeat, Enki rose from the ground, as soon as his sister’s back was carelessly turned to him, and he stroke his dagger to her spine, watching with cold, empty eyes as she collapsed to the ground. The high priests seemed especially pleased with this and prepared for his ascension ceremony, where he resurrected his deceased sister into a ghoul, using the newly acquired skill of Necromancy.
The cold, blank corpse of his sister brought a smile of satisfaction and accomplishment on his otherwise emotionless, pale face.
After his ascension to Dark Priesthood, he left the temple grounds to learn occult on his own, in a dark pilgrimage. He began praying to Gro-Goroth as he began dedicating his studies to the knowledge of Old-Gods.
Enki travelled across the Western continent, learning about different Gods, deities, blood magic and all known sciences. His studies didn’t come without their merit, as he was rightfully acknowledged by the top scholars of modern times, being granted a pass to the great libraries of the Kingdom of Rondon, having the collection of all known history and science at his grasp.
During his intensive research, drowning in a copious amount of piles of books and paintings, swimming in an endless ocean of knowledge, when suddenly, he felt compelled to raise his head, for a single split second - But that was enough to feast his eyes on the radiant presence of a woman that seemed to glow with such an aura that was unfamiliar to Enki.
For some reason, this human made Enki want to approach her, to delight himself with that Sun-like warmth and gentleness, and never let go. His brain had gone hay-wire for that exact single second, and he imagined her Ascension, defeating even Alll-mer in influence and radiance, for she would be worthy of worship far and wide, a single Goddess above them all, be them New or Old alike.
Ha! What a fool he’s been, allowing himself to fall prey to a woman’s charm, as if he is alike any of those petty mundane wretches, much beneath them. Surely, there was nothing that she had, except for a pretty face, and long soft locks, and a dress so beautiful and embellished with rich ornaments and golden thread embroidery... And there he goes again, losing time with meaningless thoughts!
O, and how he wished she would stop living rent-free inside his head, just so he could return to his endless studying already... Alas, that woman was gracefully sitting on a velvety chair by the dimly lit window, adopting a relaxed yet incredibly elegant pose as she began reading some kind of large, dusty tome, so old that it was almost ripping apart at the seams.
Such negligence - She might her slender, delicate fingers, but surely, there was no way an uneducated idiot like herself would be able to handle such a frail book!
Fuming, he didn’t quite realise he came up with an unlikely scenario, just to have a reason to march up in front of the beauty and speak to her - Surely, if he was to approach her with his usual misanthropy, she would be compelled to hate him and would avoid him at all costs - What a brilliant plan!
“What do you think you’re doing, you brain dead vermin?! Books like this one are supposed to be handled with intensive care!” in his makeshift rage, he tried to look away from that adorably confused face of hers, or those glowing doe eyes, looking up into his dead eyes with such radiant vitality. He grabbed at her hands, and almost shivered lightly at how soft and soft they were, compared to his skeletal-like cold and clammy ones.
“Oh, forgive me, Sir, I meant no harm.” her voice was so princess-like, compared to his gruff voice, rough from lack of speaking, that he almost felt his whole body caressed with honeyed mead. “You see, I often come to these libraries and rehabilitate old tomes like this one. I either sew protective covers over them, or try to re-write them, so that more copies would be available for people to read. There have been numerous cases of books being destroyed or going missing, and there was no way of retrieving the lost knowledge.” that sweet smile applied some colour to his otherwise ghost-white face, and for the first time in his life, Enki felt his heart pounding in his chest, harder than that time when his sister almost killed him.
Slowly, Enki let go of her hands and peered down at the book’s covers - Indeed, the seaming was freshly done, and the gold thread was adequately holding together the hardboiled leather. Even the inscription of the title was masterfully done, so much so that he found no defect to complain about or scold her for. Which meant, he also had no other reason to keep in contact or speak with this woman - So what was he supposed to do?! He had no clue how to react in such a difficult social dilemma.
“I am glad that there are more attentive people like yourself, with a genuinely love for knowledge and books!” she chirped softly, radiating with kindness and warmth. “If there were more people like yourself, it would be so much easier to preserve all this precious fountain of knowledge and allow a wider range of people to access it.” “You’re delusional.” contrary to what he was truly thinking, Enki grumbled under his breath, the corner of his mouth turning upwards in a disgusted sneer. “You wouldn’t be the first to call me that!” her giggle seemed as tender as an angel’s embrace. “It’s quite alright though! I just do what I like to do, and if people can benefit from my work, then all the best!” he was speechless, from a variety of reasons. “Are you quite alright, Sir? You seem unusually pale. Are you feeling ill?” at the same time that the beauty reached out her hands to cup his cold face and feel him up, Enki’s eyes widened like a dead fish’s, and he violently retracted away from her touch, as though he was terrified of getting burnt by her Sun-like warmth. Not only that, but the tome from her lap fell to the ground with a thud and a large cloud of dust, which ultimately made them both cough. “I’m fine. Mind your own business, woman.” he grunted in between coughs, crouching down to get the book - Only to feel her hand underneath his own - Was it fate, that such a continuous string of intimate coincidences keep happening? Was he supposed to meet her? Was there truly a red string of destiny wrapped around them both, pulling them together? “Oh, forgive me, Sir.” she smiled softly at him, waiting for him to remove his larger hand from on top of hers. He didn’t, captivated and lost in her eyes. “You may take the book at home for studying, if you’d like. I can guarantee for you. You seem like a man who truly treasures knowledge and books.” “Stop calling me Sir, it’s annoying. Enki Ankarian.” he grumbled, snatching away his hand from over hers, before cradling the tome to his chest, as though it’s his most cherished possession.  “It is lovely meeting you, Mr. Ankarian.” the glare she received made her offer a sheepish grin. “Uh... Mr. Enki?” the glare got harsher. “Enki...?” his glare dissipated, replaced once again by a blank stare, and a weird sense of relief and content washed over him. “My name is Y/N. You must be having an Enlightened Soul, right?” Enki rose a questioning eyebrow - Was it truly that evident, even to somehow he just met for the first time? Still, he grunted a positive answer. “No wonder - Then, I have all the more reason to trust you with borrowing books from our library.” Enki couldn’t help but pick up on the odd choice of a possessive pronoun. “Good to know.” he mumbled under his breath. “Whose library is it?” “Loosely speaking, it belongs to the Kingdom of Rondon, but it was my family who founded it, long ago, and we’ve kept taking care of it, having scholars, maesters and priests over, leaving imprints of their knowledge here and what not.” the way she was speaking of her family and the library seemed to make her exceedingly proud and happy. “Do you have a Radiating Soul or what?!” Enki found himself blurting out without as much as any bit of consideration or a normal, social filter. But the woman before him didn’t seem to mind it, nor was she seemingly bothered by it at all. For a delicate damsel like herself, she seemed to be tanking his brashness and rudeness with an impenetrable shield of white light. “Oh, yes, you are correct! As expected of someone bright like yourself!” she seemed to be bubbling over with glee. No wonder he was immediately attracted to her, from the second she entered the room. People like her were born to have tons of people flocking around her like moths to the flame. How annoying.
Enki couldn’t help but glare at the woman before him, smiling so brightly, as though she’s never even heard of the horrors of the world, let alone experience them; A creature so pure, that the glimmers of hope sparkle all around them. This woman was the perfect opposite of him, so much so that he almost felt afraid of being anywhere near her. What was he supposed to do? What was he supposed to say? Such a situation went much over the parameters of his abilities and skills.
“Will I see you around tomorrow also?” Enki’s breath hitched in his throat and his heart stopped beating, as soon as he heard that God forsaken question. “I have to return the book, don’t I?” he found himself successfully grunting a satisfactory answer. “Wonderful!” she chimed happily. “Then, it is time for me to return home and bake some cookies!” with his eyes bulging out of his sockets, and his jaw slightly agape, Enki felt his throat dry, wondering - What the hell has he gotten himself into?
From then on, almost on a daily basis, Enki would spent day in and day out at the libraries of Rondon, accompanied by that annoyingly beautiful woman, who captured his dead heart in such a weird way.
You would bring over trays of snacks and cookies she made, along with tea, coffee, with small recipients with milk and honey for sweetening - Of course, you would drink the sweetest beverages, whilst he liked them black and bitter - And he has to admit, everything you made, was out of this world delicious.
His skin even started getting some colour, and his body wasn’t as skeletal-skinny, due to being unconsciously taken care of, to the point that you even invited him over at your rather lavish house, where he’d eventually move in, without much protest.
Years later, he still isn’t quite sure how the hell did he end up moving in so quickly and effortlessly - It all felt incredibly natural, and he didn’t even realise what had happened, until it was too late, and he had slept over in his own dormitory for over a month. It was a comfortable life he was living, with no restrictions about studying, nor the need to work ; Though, in a way, he did feel as though he was taking advantage of your kindness, which irked him enough into thinking of way to compensate you in some way.
Realising there was nothing that he owned, which he could offer you, he proposed to teach you offensive magic. He knew well enough that you were safe and sound in Rondon, and you were well versed in the healing arts to begin with, but there comes no harm in having ways to defend yourself, correct? His sister should have been taught that lesson sooner.
With unexpected patience, Enki would put you closer to him on the sofa, with a book on his lap and an arm around your waist, reading to you whatever he was interested in at that moment, and would explain everything in great detail, making sure you understand everything there is of interest about that said topic.
And when it comes to practicing blood magic of any kind, he will have you practicing, in a safe environment, on wooden dummies. Hell, he was impressed by how easily you picked up on his teachings, that he even muttered out a bit of praise! Wonderous achievement!
Enki finds great comfort in brushing your hair, and would take all the time in the world just playing with those soft locks, even idly braiding it or twisting it around, as a means of relaxing or de-stressing.
At some point, during the hotter times of the year, he would begrudgingly allow you to also braid his hair and style it in a bun - You wear the same hairstyles more often than not - Mostly at home though, where there’s no one else to see.
When he gets frustrated, he would absent-mindedly doodle random runes or symbols all over your hand or arm, before going out into the cold rain to cool himself and start over whatever he project he was working on.
Though he always hisses like a cat, he loves it when you kiss his cheeks or forehead whenever you pass by his study desk. He loves your touch more than he’d like to admit, and he loves the way your plump, soft lips feel against his own, capable of pulling him out of this world - But what he loves more than anything, is how small you feel in his embrace, as you cuddle or hug - There is no words being said, only swimming in the love and bliss, feeling each other’s heartbeat, reveling in each other’s warmth.
When you get intimate, he’ll always stay above you, cradling your head and peppering your face with tons of lingering kisses, going down to your jaw and neck. Every sound you make, every twitch of your body, only drive him crazy. He’ll take his time with you, slow and steady, long strokes, until you see stars before your eyes, and him in the center of your world. If you try to look away as you climax, he’ll lightly tug on your hair, inching your face to make you look at him and only him as you come undone in his arms.
He might not admit to it, and he’ll never ever admit to it, not even to himself, but he loves you as much as he loves studying. On the days you’re going out together, strolling through the busy cobbled streets of Rondon, he will keep his arm around your waist, glaring at anyone who’d dare look at you - And with your Radiant Soul, there were plenty of people attracted to you. No one could get anywhere close to his little angel.
Though he found himself happiest and most comfortable living with you, his studies were never neglected, to the point that he found himself despairing for having nothing more that he can learn - This empty husk, limited to the Earthly, can only get him so far. He had reached the limits of any human can achieve, and all because of his Enlightened Soul, he was unable to find any means of keeping himself under control. He was going crazy, and there was nothing even you could do, even suggesting going traveling abroad, that could calm him down from his insanity.
There was no satisfaction, nor fulfilment that he could get. He allowed the Dark Priests to crucify him on the statue, naked, in the middle of the city, ready to be taken to the other world by Alll-mer. There was no silver lining waiting at the end; The purpose of all humans was to liver under the cold sun that the Gods have set above them all.
Just as the Priests were ready to sacrifice him, Enki saw a vision - He wasn’t sure if it was your desperate visage that gave him new thirst for living, guilty of breaking your heart, or that mysterious thing flashing in the corner of his eyes - Whichever the case, he understood his new purpose, and was ready to start anew, to flip a new chapter in this agonising life.
Once the Priests brought him down, you immediately ran up to him, wrapping him up in a blanket to keep his cold, clammy skin warm. You were ready to bring him home, cook him a warm meal, bring him a hot tea - But he was far too excited about this new prophecy that he was shown, this revelation that foretold a man meant for greatness, who will begin a new era for mankind - Why would he share the spotlight of the Gods with any mortal man, anyway?
Prophecies are only for those who are weak enough to bend to their sorry fates. Enki was hell-bent on finding this man and learning more about him and this so-called destiny of his. As far as he’s aware, this man is imprisoned in the notorious dungeons of Fear and Hunger.
He knew this was it - The stairway to his Enlightenment, and he was dead set on discovering all the ancient secrets that this stronghold kept, all to reach the ultimate understanding of the greater scheme of things.
No matter how much he wished to keep you at home and promise you that he’ll return in time for dinner, he couldn’t. Not only was it impossible for him to lie to you like that, but he was also unable of stopping you from joining him, no matter how many times he warned you that he might not be able to keep you safe during this mess of a quest, or even as much as say with certainty that neither of you will die. Still, you were persistent, and though you felt your body shivering with fear as soon as you reached the courtyard to the two entrances, you still didn’t back down - You were going to stay by his side, through thick and thin.
From the very second that you got in front of the dungeons, he could see your body trembling softly with fear, from the sheer malevolent and suffocating pressure that it emanated. Enki was unable of reassuring you with words, but he held your hand, guiding you blindly through the intricate hallways of the labyrinthine dungeon, though he had no idea where exactly he had to go. The only thing he knew was that he had to find Le’Garde somewhere deep underneath the dungeons, in the prison levels... Probably.
As torches would go out far too quickly, leaving you to stumble blindly through the place, you used a simple magic spell to create a ball of light in your palm.
In a place as decrepit and plagued such as the Fear and Hunger dungeon, even your Radiating Soul seemed to be greying and fading tragically.
It was thanks to Enki’s level-headed and composed self that you could feel relatively safe. That, and his almost unsettling Necromancy skill, which aided him in creating a small army of ghouls and skeletons to aid your journey to success.
The two of you first encountered an enormous prison guard, with rather disproportionate genitals, ready to tackle you and destroy you entirely. You were absolutely terrified, stunned and rooted to the spot - Thankfully, the Dark Priest and his powerful dark magic were able to quickly massacre the foe.
To calm you down, Enki cupped your face and planted a soft kiss on your forehead, whispering loving words until he could feel your bode relaxing under his touch, ready to go on with your long and perilous journey.
You scavenged various crates and barrels, finding food, armors and weapons useful for the future, though the two of you still relied on your own powerful magic, and the cannon fodder dead as meat shields.
You killed two dark priests, taking their soul stones and purifying talismans, sacrificing a man and raising affinity with Gro-Goroth, before unsealing the magic door using Counter-Magic and venturing inside where they found a Hexen and learnt Greater blood magic.
In one of the libraries, there weren’t all that many books of interest. Somewhere further along, you found a ritualistic circle painted on the ground with blood, over a carved up symbol of Gro-Goroth. You looked up at Enki, confused, as he studied the book on the pedestal closely.
“Gor-Goroth requires a sacrifice, doesn’t he? And Sylvian wants love. Alll-mer wants prayer, doesn’t he? What are we supposed to do?” you ask, looking down at the intricate circle. “Nothing. I’ll do a quick prayer for the God of Destruction, but nothing more. Get out of that circle right now, I don’t want to risk your safety.” he ushered you away quickly as he prayed, and took you out of that place immediately.
On a book shelf, somewhere up, beyond your reach, Enki found the renowned Necronomicon. With trembling hands and deep excitement, he dares to read the Black Book, and even learns the Black Orb spell. This new-found knowledge only seemed to further excite the Dark Priest, so much so that he smirked with deep triumph.
Probably one of the worst parts of the journey was traversing through the Blood-Flesh pit to get to the prisons and activate the elevator for the ground levels; Honestly, how in the world could such a disgusting thing exist, anyway? Everything was so fleshy, squishy, juicy and revolting, it made your skin crawl.
Out in the courtyard, you found a massive statue of Alll-mer, to which you begrudgingly prayed to, but funny enough, somewhere to the left of the courtyard, a huge orgy was taking place, with a bunch of naked people wearing only bunny masks. They were in a trance-like state, and the act seemed rather painful for the submissive one; It was absolutely terrifying to watch, especially as none were letting out a single noise. It seemed that love for the sake of Sylvian had completely gone corrupted. Seeing how uncomfortable it made you, Enki grabbed your wrist and took you away from there without another word. No Godly Affinity was worth your discomfort.
The next location you went to was the Mines, where you noticed a presence that didn’t seem to indicate any kind of malice. Though Enki was a little more weary, as he felt responsible for your well-being, you found yourself encouraged to step forward and introduce yourself. This man looked very similar to Enki, with long and well-kept hair, pale skin, and a dust-grey priest robe. There was something about his soul also, something familiar, that made you feel you could trust this man called Nosramus.
He, also, had an Enlightened Soul. No wonder you felt at ease in his presence. Enki, also, seemed to be feeling the same way. Nosramus revealed he is an alchemist and he lives in this God-Forsaken place. Unfortunately, he had to run away, as he had forgotten his kettle on. What a shame.
Stumbling around blindly through the mines, you had to battle a rather hostile Yellow Mage, though with some rather cunning talk from Enki, he retriever a rather interesting Talisman, before killing that ridiculous dancing foe.
After defeating the Salmonsnake and a ton of ghosts, passing by the cannibal orgy dedicated to Gro-Goroth, Enki summons a portal passage towards the bridge to Ma’habre, pulling you in with him along the ancient city. Somewhere up in the sky, you could see the ghostly silhouette of the four New Gods, who disappeared one by one, but not before a promise of reunion. You were sent back to the mines after that. What a peculiar manifestation of magic!
You went through a whole city of inoffensive yet rather creepy cave-dwellers before finding your way to attack a huge, armoured Knight and its phantasmal counterpart which blocked the path towards Nosramus’ laboratory. He seemed to greet you with open arms and a genuine smile on his face.
Enki asked him what his studies consisted in, and he claims he studies just about all fields of knowledge, like a true renaissance man would, like blood magic, deities, gods and what not, though now he’s most interested in nature and the heartbeat of the earth. Enki smirked a little, realising that such interest aligns with your own. He seemed rather light-hearted and jovial, joking around about having been around for an eternity, and that this dungeon is vital for his studies. Though, when asked about this particular man, he seemed vague, though he confirmed he must be a few floors below them, and they should hurry.
Emboldened by his affirmation, they returned to the Cave-Dwellers’ village and searched around for clues, until they found a rather intricate and particular artifact in the form of a cube. It was the Cube of the Depths. Unfortunately, as soon as they grabbed it, the otherwise peaceful Cave-Dwellers became hostile and started attacking them once spotted. What a shame.
Once escaped, they found themselves deep inside a rather terrifying thicket, chased around by poisoned mumblers, though here, they found a weird, large, bulbous thing like a chist, pulsating and throbbing. They destroyed it immediately, before going down a hole in the ground, reaching the Level 7 Catacombs and finding another such thing.
Unfortunately, just down that corridor, they found the prison cell where the Man of the Prophecy was being shackled. He was already long dead. They were much too late. They failed the task they set out to. How annoying.
Looking at each other, you and Enki exited the prison cell hand in hand, looking down in disappointment - There was no reason for you to be there anymore, was it? Alas, Enki’s path to Enlightenment was shattered in front of him. Mumbling a few curses, he was deaf to the sound of footsteps approaching. “Nosramus!” Enki was brought back to reality by your sweet voice gasping out the alchemist’s name.
The man seemed to have already guessed the one called Le’Garde was long dead. He must have thought he’d have had a much bigger role in the greater scheme of things, but apparently, not so much. Still, the seed of what he planted continues to grow and branch. Nosramus encouraged you to venture further into the darkness and figure out this enigmatic riddle for yourselves. With you thirst for success, Enki dragged you to a large stone gate, engraved with a variety of runes. He brought out the Cube, and the doors opened, to the Tomb of the Gods. Fantastic! This area looks to be from the distant past, how intriguing!
The Priest rushed with you through the many corridors of the Tomb, until you reached the outside; The darkness was hiding away the city, though with your magic, you could get a small glimpse of the odd architecture of this ancient city. It truly was a work of art and historical fountain.
A little unsure of what to do, you reach a Beacon, which seemed to react to the Cube. It grew taller by a few levels, glowing bright green, and suddenly, you and Enki were in Ma’Habre, now illuminated by the bright daylight. The two of you could only stare in shock and wonder at the sight before your eyes - Neither of you ever thought you would witness such a miracle. You were grateful to Nosramus for his guidance. That man knew so much more than he led on.
The Ancient City was wonderous to explore, and it felt almost as though you were sight-seeing, and you were just a newly-married couple enjoying their honeymoon vacation abroad; Though most of the time, you spent in the Grand Library was the most welcomed, as you found so many long-forgotten books to study. Of course, you found yourself stealing a few of them, eager to take them home, restore them, copy them and place them in your own Rondon Library, to benefit other scholars also.
When you were ready to leave the Library, you got attacked by something that you could only call a giant head with its brain out... And uh... An eye that looks awfully phallic.
After guarding from a headbutt and summoning a blood golem, Enki tries talking some sense to the God of Enlightenment... The great Enlightened Valeil became this weird, huge head. Bewildering. Though he didn’t seem to react to his words, a stream of ideas, concepts and questions fill your head.
“Among us... The new Gods... I am Valteil to the Enlightenment as Francois is to the Domination. Who is Torment...?” the voice inside your head asked. At once, Enki answered correctly, mentioning Chambara’s name. The boss took a good amount of damage. Whilst you kept using defensive and healing spells, the undead army kept attacking, allowing Enki safe space to speak and destroy the boss.
“The dark continent... Whence the darkness slowly leaks to the Western World... Where the day only shines... Eternal darkness and grey gloom... What is it called among the people of Europa?” Enki answered correct with his answer of Vinland, causing the Enlightened One a massive headache.
“We, the new Gods... Whilst still walking among men... Our fellowship, when did we embark on our journey to Ascension?” Year 809 was the correct answer, as expected of someone like your remarkable husband. Valteil’s right hemisphere and that ridiculous eye had been destroyed, and then his left hemisphere also. He remained a hallow skull.
“Alll-mer, the Ascended one... The last of the older Gods. What year marks the birth of his new self?” Year 0 was the right answer, of course, and with that, Valteil was defeated. The head of Valteil the Enlightened One falls down to the darkness from where it once rose. The millennia of wisdom and knowledge that is too much for a normal person to bear passes through your heads. You only get glimpses of what is waiting for you on the other side, but this information stream is too much for your mind to handle. Your head hurts, and you feel a little shaken up. You look at Enki, who’s clutching his head also, yet he seems completely ecstatic with the knowledge that something far greater has just started to change.
The cogs of Fear and Hunger have just began to rotate on a larger scale. You got the Enlightened Soul. Enki’s hand squeezed yours, and it was clear, he’s never been more thrilled than with this experience. For a brief second there, he wanted to regret embarking in such a dangerous adventure, yet now, he was pumped up and ready to learn more.
Traversing back through the intricate library, you found Valteil’s mortal body, strung up at the waist with a rope. He seemed absolutely depressed, saying that mankind has no hope, and that ascension was never the right path. Enki admitted he was also on the path of Enlightenment, to which he was warned not to be fooled by power or blinded by the golden throne. One must admit his own mistakes in order to grow, he said. There was, however, one amongst them who was right, though Valteil hadn’t expanded on that, leaving them with more questions than answers.
Enki found an empty scroll, on which he scribbled a request to Alll-mer, to be taught how to walk on water, so you could return back to where you killed the Salmonsnake and reach the other side of the mines. There, you were met with a menacing lizardman, and a bunch of humans strung upside down. They were skinned and mutilated. Seeing your horrified look, Enki held your hand and rushed through the mines, trying to shield your view from the atrocities.
You reached a sealed door, which Enki unlocked with the use of Counter-magic again, and inside, you found none other than Nosramus himself! What a coincidence! He asked about Valteil, somehow sensing they you met him. When Enki told him that he was regretting his past actions, the Alchemist seemed amused and intrigued. It was the first time he had heard about Valteil admitting his mistakes.
“Nosramus, forgive me for asking, but you were friends, weren’t you? You, and all the others.” Nosramus finds himself smiling a little wider hearing you speak. “Valteil mentioned one of his friends being on the correct path - That must have been you, right?” the Alchemist gave a nostalgic nod of his head, explaining that Valteil’s belief was that one could achieve Enlightenment with a snap of his fingers, if only he Ascended. Of course, a ridiculous idea, and Nosramus, to this day, is still bewildered to how easily his friend fell into that trap. The ultimate truth was just one, that there is no end to the path of Enlightenment. New information, new forms of science, new people, new worlds... The knowledge of the world keeps on increasing. How could you settle down thinking you are at the end of it all, he wondered rhetorically.
“We learn our whole life.” Enki found himself mumbling under his breath, his eyes wide with realisation. That quote made Nosramus smile with pride. Unknown to the alchemist, it was you who once told Enki that little thing, and now, to think some words could mean so much, could hold such value. Enki turned his head to you, and once again, amidst the darkness, he saw you radiating brightly - So bright, in fact, like a muse, like the Sun brightens up the whole world at once.
Nosramus then recommended that Enki sits on the golden throne to meet his reflection - Surely, there will be incredible insight and knowledge, especially of the New Gods, which he could learn. Still, he had to heed caution - If he truly was a scholar of sciences, he must only observe, not surrender to the lust of power, like those before him. Thus, the Alchemist offered him the Spirit Anchor.
Enki was a little too bewildered to speak, and could only watch as you embraced the Alchemist, thanking him for his kindness and benevolence is sharing such a gift with you. “Thank you for all of your help, Nosramus. Without you, I am sure, my husband would never truly be happy. It is through knowledge that he finds happiness - And I can only be happy, when seeing him like this. You have saved him from despair, and from himself. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.” the Forgotten One simply chuckled light-hearted, patting your head as though you were his little sister or daughter, reassuring you it wasn’t a big deal he was doing, before ushering you on your way.
Your radiating smile painted a little colour on Enki’s pale cheeks, and you excitedly grabbed both of his hands, dragging him back to the Blood Portal, so you could return to the Ancient City and continue your fantastic journey. You reached the back alleys of the city, and using a stone, you searched for a safe place to land. Clearly, you couldn’t trust the ghouls to hold a rope for you to descend, so you had to jump and land, albeit a little rough, on a small piece of safe land that reached inside an underground cave. Thankfully, Enki caught you, alleviating the pain of your legs.
This cave was filled to the brim with wooden mannequins and a weird machine which, when adding Enki’s blood, it... Created a human husk in his image. Now, you had a rather awkward Enki, looking with disgust and embarrassment at his naked clone, shamelessly prancing around the place. Your amused giggle only made him huff and look away, grabbing you to move along and exit the cave.
Climbing up a ladder, with the clone following you, you found yourselves inside the Temple of Torment. The atmosphere was so thick and heavy that you felt compelled to leave for the moment and explore a little more.
You reached the Tower of the Endless, where you found a bed. Weirdly enough, you felt rather safe in this place, as though you could rest a little. You have been running around for so long, that perhaps a little shut-eyes was welcomed. Enki agreed, laying down on the bed, making room for you to cuddle into his side, resting your head on his chest, feeling his heartbeat lulling you into a deep, peaceful sleep.
However, weirdly enough, you met inside your joined dream, and you found yourselves in Rondon. Though confused, you found yourselves inside a brothel, seeing a mercenary speak to his prostitute wife about his future job and how he wants to provide for her - It was to rescue the very man they found dead. Next, you had to relieve the moment Enki tried to get himself sacrificed, to which the man in cause took you away, not wanting to have you experiencing such heartbreak a second time.
Walking further, you found yourselves deep inside the Oldegard forests, where you saw an Outlander mourning the death of his comrades who were massacred in a war with the Rondon knights who sought an artifact they found. The Outlander seemed to realise his wife and son were in danger, so he rushed to this barn, on a path soaked in blood and corpses. This man was defeated with the knowledge of his family’s death, and he swore revenge on the monster who did this.
Once the Outlander’s memory disappeared, you and Enki walked inside the barn, seeing a Skin Granny, which you had to fight and defeat through all of her phases - Thankfully, it wasn’t that difficult a fight, thanks to your greater magic proficiency and the many undead fighters shielding you two. Once defeated, you excited the barn, seeing a vision of Le’Garde, the man of the prophecy, speaking to one of his female knights rather cryptically. She seemed completely blinded with love for him, but he was simply using her.
As this memory, too, ended, you were engulfed in nothing but a white light, and a woman, Nilvan the Endless, appeared before you. She caressed her swollen belly, begging you to take her child to the darkness, to save the child, and thus, she offered you the Endless Soul. How amusing though, considering neither of you even encountered a child to begin with, but her soul was more than welcomed.
Refreshed and feeling stronger, mentally and emotionally, you and Enki smoked a little and ate well before returning to the Temple of Torment, ready for an arduous fight. As soon as you enter the Temple, a loud, echoing scream, like that of a man deep in anguish and agony, resounded through the whole place, sending shivers down your neck. It was the most terrifying thing you’ve ever heard, and you instinctively clinged onto Enki’s arm for some comfort.
Somewhere inside a long room, you found a weird torture mechanism, and with a heavy heart, you placed the clone on the hooks, ready to sacrifice the husk - Though Enki didn’t seem the least bit disturbed at seeing his own mirror image being tortured to the point of having his skin painfully ripped apart by the hooks, you couldn’t even bring yourself to look at it, your heart shattering as the skeletons kept rotating the wheels.
The Red Man continued shrieking loudly as blood streamed everywhere through the temple, and the deep pit was now full with blood, from which the Tormented One emerged silently. Defeating him once was easy, though the New God succumbed deep inside the pool of blood, as a terrible sensation filled you, as if something was about to happen that should forever remain unknown to human eyes. Thus, he emerged one again, in the middle of three spiky wheels of torment swinging around their axis. One by one, they jammed and destroyed the horrific wheels, and their suffering God, until they all sank into the pool of blood as quietly as when they rose from it.
Though it was a terrifying sight and battle, you feel as if a millennia of torment just slipped before your eyes. You feel sorry for this tormented deity, though Enki not so much. Regardless, you gain the third soul, the Tormented Soul.
Thus, you return to the City Center of Ma’habre, ready to defeat the guard blocking your path from entering the Golden Temple. Inside the Temple, you found an older version of Francois the Dominating, and you engaged in a rather interesting conversation with him, who advised you on how to defeat his younger, more cocky self. After killing the last purple, throbbing heart, you return into the past of the Ancient City, using the Cube of the Depths, ready to defeat the last God.
You found Francois sitting on the golden throne, speaking down on you as though you were vermin or even less. Thankfully, with the use of the old Francois and some cunning speech, you were able to destroy his younger self’s ego enough to make him reckless and vulnerable and destroy him forever, taking his Dominating Soul.
Looking at the golden throne, you felt your body softly trembling, before shifting your gaze towards your lover. You threw your arms around him, bringing him into a tight embrace, confession your love for him over and over and over again, your eyes stinging with tears of sheer fear. Enki simply cupped your face and pulled you into a deep, loving kiss.
It was the first time Enki ever truly told you ‘I love you’.
He tried to tell you he will return to you, but something caught in his throat, rendering him unable to promise something like that. Instead, he felt an electrifying feeling down his spine, and not even once did you break eye contact, as he slowly sat down on the throne of the New Gods.
A bright light engulfed you, and surprisingly, you found yourself in an incomprehensible dimension or world, transported by the throne. Enki was still sitting, while you stood in front of him, both of you deeply confused. Hand in hand, you and the undead army searched for a path towards... Who knew?
As you stepped in the middle of a bridge that separated two large bodies of lands, something started slowly rising from the green hue. Coiling, slimy tentacles were dancing above the green smoke, before the monolithic creature slowly rose from inside the green fog. You and Enki looked at one another, unable to properly comprehend what were you battling, yet you knew, the being before you had tremendous power.
This creature was the Goddess of Life and Love, Sylvian. Tentacles slammed and swirled around in an erratic manner, damaged the protecting undead and blood golems. Suddenly, you noticed the creature growing a large tumor in a humanoid shape, and it was wriggling in pain.
With great difficulty, you managed to cut the four tentacles lashing out at you and the humanoid tumour, before finally descending back into the green smokes, letting you go in peace. What a relief. Battling an Old God took its toll on you two, and you needed a few seconds of respiro, smoking some opium, before finding some strength in your feet to walk forward and have... A New God, oddly resembling Enki, with a cage on his head, greeting you.
“Knowledge... It suffocates those who are not able to adjust to it. I could not bear the world with everything I’ve learned with the Enlightenment and my Ascension. It is said that ignorance is bliss and knowledge only enhances the pain. The only way for me to continue existing was to change. Knowledge changes one permanently. There is no looking back after a certain point.” the reflection of Enki spoke to him in a monotone voice.
That reflection was what he was to become. He felt great lust for power take over him - It would have been so easy to give in and learn secrets that are only whispered among mortals - But he came prepared, and had been warned about such lust; Not only that, a single look into your eyes was enough to remind him of his true purpose, his true happiness. He didn’t want to end up like Valteil, trapping himself in the corner, with nothing left to do but rot away, forgotten by the world. No, he was destined for so much more - Though a mortal, he felt content continuing his path towards Enlightenment with you by his side.
You declined the Godhood and managed to step out of the plane of the ascended that was coloured by the green hue that radiated from the underground pits. It’s not like your ascension wasn’t without its merits, even if you withdrew at the last second. You saw the reflection after all and understood its intents. With newly found knowledge, he took the grand libraries of the ancient city as his own, and once he was done with a book, he would pass it on to you, to read, copy and restore, so that you could make your own Great Library of Rondon the most Enlightened one in the whole world. The Enlightened Library.
Thankfully, the library of Ma’habre already contained more information than one could digest in multiple lifetimes, yet lucky for you, Enki, with a little help from Nosramus, discovered the secrets of a prolonged life pretty soon.
You found out how the older Gods had left this world long ago. You had taken care of the New Gods that resided in the city of the Gods. Enki did not need Godhood to chase after the true Enlightenment. He did not need Godhood to become the most powerful mortal to exist.
He already WAS the most accomplished mortal that ever was, and will ever be.
And with your Radiating warmth, love, beauty and support, along with his new-found friend, the Alchemist Nosramus, the Forgotten One, life has become a truly happy bliss.

This one's for the gays and the goths [but mainly the two who replied to my earlier post ily]
Enki Ankarian x male reader, just some fluff and....idk building a bit of a background for Enki and reader? Tbh I just opened tumblr and started writing lmao
Thinking about Enki
While exploring the dungeons together, Enki, for reasons known only to him, found himself caring for you
'Not love' he'd tell himself
'I'm not capable of love' he'd repeat to himself, a mantra to drown out that part of him that worried about you
The part of him that lost precious moments of sleep, not wanting to drop his guard and leave you defenseless. Vulnerable. Alone.
He'd scoff at the passing thought that he'd be lonely without you.
Him. Enki Ankarian. Lonely
Embarrassing at best
A potential weakness, leading him into another horrific death at worst. A weakness that, he'd tell himself, he should have thrown out the day he met you
When you'd come running into the room, scrambling around bookshelves, papers scattering on the floor in your wake - obviously something was on your tail. He'd sat there a moment, frustration growing, before sighing and closing his book. He crossed the room in a few graceful strides, stopping at the doorway, preparing a fresh ward. Just in case.
After one lazy scan of the room, Enki had decided to ignore you, plopping himself back down in a chair and opening three books simultaneously
When you'd finally crept back out of the small maze of bookshelves at the back of the room, you'd done something that surprised him
You'd quietly looked around the room, grabbing a book and deciding on a chair about as far away from both himself and the door as you could. You didn't stare or - thank the gods - try to talk to him. Aside from a couple subtle glances at him as you sat down, you didn't acknowledge him (finally, some fuckin manners! lmao)
That must have been it, he'd think to himself. Those first quiet days spent reading and sketching in journals, never exchanging more than a subtle polite nod
He'd gotten used to you simply existing around him
So when you suddenly spoke to him as he was about to move on deeper in the dungeons in search of more knowledge - voice quiet and rough from disuse, asking begging to go with him - "I'm terrified. I won't make it more than a day or two on my own....." - he already knew his answer
Even before you pierced something in his chest with your half-whsipered "please"
Pausing in the doorway, Enki had rolled his eyes and heaved out a sigh, looking as though he were contemplating killing you then and there
"Hurry up and get your things, then"
You'd immediately leapt to your feet, gathering your meager belongings and joining him by the door
He tried for days to get the image of your smile - bright, genuine - out of his head

Note
would you entertain the idea of a yandere Enki? 🤲
I think yandere!Enki would be the type to threaten you into getting what he wants. Frail as he may be, the dark priest was powerful in both his intellect and prowess in blood magic and necromancy, and made sure you and everyone else realized that.
He wouldn't threaten you immediately, though, if you suggested splitting up or that you'd join a different party. Enki would scoff, remark that you were insulting him by thinking you'd be better off without him. Honestly, he was doing you a favor. You should be grateful. And he'd better not hear of such foolish ideas from you again.
You both intrigued and frustrated him. He was supposed to acquire knowledge that could be found within the dungeons and find the man he'd seen in a vision upon his sacrificial post, but instead he'd found you and the little motley crew of adventurers that had made their way down here. And he had stuck by you, let you charm him and ease down his walls as hard as he fought to deny it. Just his luck. Still, if he could do it again, Enki knew he would have joined you again - for you, not for the Eclipse Talisman you would provide for his services.
So, understandably, even an inkling of you wanting to part was an insult. You had fought through blood and hell together. It felt like you had been here, known each other, years. Lifetimes. Maybe it was. It was so dark, it was hard to tell anymore. Only the gods know how long it had been since he'd last seen daylight.
He'd pull you aside and whisper into your ear that if you tried to leave, he'd kill your allies. He'd raise them from the dead, of course - not exactly smart to lose the strength in numbers, but they as you knew them would be gone forever. And as... Fond as he was of you, he wouldn't hesitate to do the same to you. At least, that's what he hissed into your ear as he held your hands in the darkness, just out of earshot of your allies.
To keep you loyal and silent, he would occasionally threaten to increase his connection to Sylvian in case he needed to form a marriage with you. You'd lose yourself, yes, but you and he would never be able to part. Very romantic, wouldn't you say?
... Well, a marriage is only successful if both parties want it. But, you didn't need to know that, if it meant keeping you by his side indefinitely.

ASMR | Fear and Hunger - Enki x Listener SFW Trying To Rest With The Dark Priest Enki
[M4A] [No horror from the game or description of those horrors in this audio] [Listener is in the dungeon with the characters] [Nightmare comfort but without the comfort because it's Enki] [Established that you've been travelling together for a while at least] [Flustering Enki] [Slightly implied romantic/sexual feelings]
If you aren't familiar with it, do not look up Fear and Hunger without reading it's trigger warning lists first, you can find them on doesthedogdie.
It's not like anyone can stop me from babygirl-ifying Enki. So yes the person who can't handle horror has gotten into Fear and Hunger by wanting background noise video essays on in the background while he draws and stumbling upon one Funger video essay and then watching like 5 more and then saying yes it's interesting but I'm not going to get properly into it and then oh no I drew fanart on stream and then oh no I've recorded an audio 3 days after discovering the games. This is just like with Astarion all oVER AGAIN WHY.
.
Old public spicy audios on sound gasm (link in pinned post). 2 Exclusive spicy audios on Patreon every month. I also stream on Twitch every week @ dervampireprince . [minors + ageless blogs dni. this blog is for 18+ only.] [do not repost/reupload/edit any of my content]

Miasma
Written for a friend, I suck at this game.
Warning: Gore, Threats of Violence (Nothing too bad though)
“Is something wrong?” One of the others asked. You and the remainder of people look over to Enki. He seems lost in thought, staring deeply into the Miasma sword.
“I haven’t witnessed anything like this before…” You begin to feel a growing sense of dread. Going through this hellish dungeon has caused your nerves to be shot, every sound and step you take sends tremors through your whole body. Most things in this decrepit dungeons have tried to kill you, everything in this place was beyond anything you believed was possible. Stopping now could be the death of you.
“Blood? …blood…blood. Yes.” Enki murmurs to himself.
“We need to keep up the pace.” You don’t want to stall any further. All you want is to get out of this place as soon as possible.
“No… There are more urgent matters…” He doesn’t even look over at you.
“What are you saying…?” He talks slowly. Exasperated, someone asks “What are you talking about?” It seems like the others are getting more paranoid. Finally, he looks over at you and the others.
“The blade…It wants sacrifices… Right now.” The hairs on your neck stand.
“Guys, maybe we should go.” If the man has gone insane you are not waiting around to find out. While you would feel bad leaving him, it seems that he doesn’t care for what any of you have to say now.
“Oh do not worry. I have no emotions toward most of my companions. They can be your cattle. Sacrificial lambs.” It's too late to leave now, he begins to swing.
Now most of your companions lay dead, deep gashes are carved into their bodies, blood still gushing from their wounds. At least one person managed to run away, however sadly for you the dark priest gaunt form looms over you. is gripping your arm tightly. Despite him being weak he managed to overpower the others and you due to you all being malnourished and already injured from the previous fight with the Crow. It's truly a bit embarrassing that someone with such brittle bones was able to quickly massacre the lot of you.
He stands still clasping at your arm still, while coated in blood he continues to stare dully at you.
You glare at Enki, if you were going to die by his hands you refuse to show any fear towards him.  Now you wait for the finishing blow.
“Let's go already.” He states blandly. You falter. That was not expected  After a moment of staring at eachother your glare melts into confusion and suspicion.
“Excuse me?” The priest has the absolute gall to roll his eyes at you like he didn’t just butcher both of you companions. “We should keep moving. We have been in here long enough.”
What is he saying? Seriously, who in their right mind would leave with this scum. Either way, why aren't you dead yet?. While you were still baffled, rage grew into you like a tumor. And you couldn’t help but state the obvious “You killed the others! Why the fuck would I want to leave with you!” You attempt to shake off his hand but he grips tighter. With how hard he's gripping you, you're pretty sure if he holds any harder his nails would enter your skin.
Enki looks unamused. “The sword demanded blood so I gave it some. The others were never going to make it out of here anyway.”
“What do you know! You don’t have the right to play god and decide who lives and dies.” You break, you had grown attached to some of the others. You felt secure with the others, it felt safe with them. This dungeon has no mercy to outsiders, death was everywhere but with your companions all of you had lived longer than expected when you all walked in here. You were beginning to get borderline hysterical. “ Do you even feel bad for what you’ve done? If you so easily slaughtered the others, what's stopping you from doing the same to me?”
His nails were now lodged into your arm the priest looks annoyed now. He grits his teeth. “I do not feel bad. I held no emotion toward them.” His eyes bore into yours. “While you are weak from your injuries, if they were healed you would be more physically adept than I am.” He states plainly. “It would be easier to travel together than alone.”
You scoffed “I do not care if it's ‘easier’ I have no reason to go with-” his other hand that still held the blade moved over to your face.
“If you insist on talking back to me I will cut your damn tongue off.”
He pressed the sword's point to your mouth, the fresh blood of the others dribbled slowly onto your face and rolled down to your chin, the smell of metal stung your nostrils. You clamp your mouth shut lest you get the abhorrent liquid in there.
“You may be more physically capable but with how dim witted you are, you would have no hope of leaving this place. You would die here.” Weirdly he smiles. “While it would be easier, if you are unwilling I would gladly cut off your limbs and drag you with me.” You pale. As much as you hated to admit it, you couldn’t leave. This hellish place is just too easy to get lost in. You had to stick with him unless you found another poor soul down here. While the person who ran away could be an option, there is little to no chance of finding them. Even in your dread you wonder, why is he so insistent on forcing you to follow him? And why did he have to threaten you twice.
“I simply want you with me.” His eyes twinkle like some shitty romance novel. It would be sweet if it wasn’t for the gore around you and the threat of removing your limbs. He removes the blade from your mouth.
“If you stay with me, I can ensure that you won’t die here.”
Enki looks through you. Hesitantly you nod. There was no other option for you.
“Good. Now let us leave already.”
You stand albeit shakily, he helps to support your weight from where he was still holding your arm. Finally, the dark priest withdraws his nails from within your arm. Red liquid oozes out. Despite that reprieve, you frown because now his haggard hands have moved to clasp your hands. You cast one more look at your comrades, then you leave with him.

༊ ⊹ ˚. Yan!Enki and Ragnvaldr x reader 🕸️
CW: Obsessive behaviour, guilt tripping (Enki being Enki), depiction of violent urges, being tied up, bloodplay, biting, borderline cannibalism as a love metaphor, friends to one-sided enemies, slightly suggestive.
Tumblr media
Enki never thought of himself as the affectionate type, never has and never will, but when it comes to you, oh that smile of yours, those bruised limbs from the dungeon struggles, that strong will you could consider contagious; he yearned for it all, for it to belong to him.
Those thoughts keep buzzing around in his head whilst he reads and reads on the dirty library within the main hall, while you were right next to him, looking at his irritated expression with shaky pupils and an unsteady breath. He couldn’t focus with you like this, or him filled with so many thoughts by that matter.
“i can’t focus with you staring at me like that” Enki scowls. “you know, you should appreciate that i brought you here with me, and sharing my knowledge with you in the first place”. Those words make you feel like you’re pouring salt on a wound, but Enki has no ill intentions whatsoever, at least in his point of view.
You decide you look down in and stay silent, but your action is interrupted by a lanky hand grabbing your face by the cheeks, making you look up at the priest’s hollow eyes. “tch. can’t believe one can be so ungrateful” again with the foul words. He has always been the mysterious type, but this behaviour towards you was new. He has drawn sigils nearby every exit to prevent you from leaving, and still he won’t say a word unless it is to complain. He grabs your face tighter and frowns, mumbling to himself. “Why is it that you….”
What you don’t understand is he’s doing this out of pure fear. Not fear of losing, or death, or violence or whatever one could be thinking about, but fear of the feeling that creeps up to his head every time he glances at you. He wants to hold you, to grab you so tight he invades the cavities of your body and rips your heart out, to treasure it like a gem. He wants to kiss you until your skin wears out, and to know your every emotion. Love, he thinks, is something he wasn’t meant to feel. And so he doesn’t know how to behave, lost in a maze made from his own insecurities.
He sighs, trying to remember what those cheesy romance novels he read as a kid told. Enki, still with your face in his hand, plants his dry lips against yours, lapping them with an awkward lick. He looks at your shocked expression. “You don’t seem disgusted.” He mutters. “I assume that is one of the reasons why i put up with your whining.” He continues, acting all tough and indifferent as if his heart wasn’t jumping out of his chest. That kiss, if you could call it one, made everything click in his head. He needs you to be by his side at all times, to channel his insanity and transfuse it into passion. All he wanted right now from the overwhelming emotions that engulfed him, was to tear your skin apart, to pulverise your bones and carry you around like his personal doll. You’re his; the Gods predetermined you two meeting in the hellhole this dungeon is, to save each other, and stay together forever.
“You’re awfully quiet today. I hope you stay like this and follow my orders while we’re in here, or i’ll break your legs and drag you around.” He had this threatening aura around him as these words spewed out his mouth. But it wasn’t with an ill intent, no? He loved you after all, he thinks so at least.
All this was for your own good, he convinces himself; you need him to stay alive, otherwise you’d be mutilated on the floor for the guards to take pleasure with already. So of course you love him, you have to. And he loves you too, for the rest of eternity.
Tumblr media
Even an outlander such as Ragnvaldr has felt love once, but he has also felt sorrow, rage and pain. Those former emotions that haunted him still haunt him now, and are very present in his actions. Alas here he was, covered in blood from head to toe. It’s hard to see which is the enemy’s and which is his own.
The dungeon remains radio silent for the first time in possibly decades, or even centuries. The guards were no more, and so were the lizardmen, yellow mages, cave dwellers, a man who seemed to become a God, and the list goes on. He killed them all. His revenge has been fulfilled, so what now? It was only you and him traversing the passageways and bloody pits that kept him entertained.
Ah, that’s right. You. You’re a nice one to be with, aren’t you? So kind of you to stay by his side while he tainted the walls red, while his bloodlust was satiated. You were like a little lost dog always stepping on your tail, grabbing onto the outlander’s cape to encourage yourself to take another step. And he enjoys that a lot, the fact that you’re always latched to him made him feel the same about you, craving your touch and presence at all times.
So here you were, in a dark, musty room with your arms and legs tied up with your own torn clothing. The humid cold breeze hit the cuts and wounds decorating your body, making you flinch. But what makes you straight up wince is the sound of echoed steps coming closer. It was Ragnvaldr, the man who saved you countless times and you developed a bond with, who now looked at you over your shoulder.
“I’m glad you’re alright while i was out. I found some resources.” He says while crouching next to you. “Here, i got you some bread” You look at him numbly as he pulls out a piece of bread, surprisingly in a fairly good state. “Open up” He directs the piece to you mouth but it remains sealed tight, refusing whatever he gave you. You’d rather starve than accept what the man you used to trust with your life provided. He however wasn’t having it, looking at you with a light frown and pressing the fingers of his free hand against your lips. Without saying a word, he pushes until his fingers enter your warm mouth, opening it with spit coating his hand. With that, he tears a piece of the bread and puts it between your palate and jaw, forcing you to chew on it.
“See? it wasn’t that hard…you need to eat or you will die here, cold and in pain.” He says as if nothing was wrong. Ever since some time ago, could be weeks or days, you lost count at this point, the outlander has been acting out of his mind. At first you thought the insanity of the dungeon got to him, but he reassured you he was okay, that if you were there with him everything was okay. He killed the monsters in gruesome ways, tearing their tendons out with his teeth and crushing their heads with a stomp. It was like he was letting out emotions he didn’t want to go through, and now they all burst out onto an obsessive love and overprotection.
He loves you so much, he really does. So much that he starts shaking while looking at his fingers full of spit, embracing you tightly with his nails damaging your exposed back. It stung. His embrace got tighter, and tighter, much like a snake that caught its prey. He wasn’t letting go, his shaking getting heavier and laboured breathing leaving his mouth. “i love you.” he says. “i love you, i love you” He just keeps on repeating the same sentence over and over, that is until he, without a single thought in his head, bites down hard on your collarbone. You let out a hiss and try to push him off, but he’s too heavy. He just keeps gnawing and clenching his jaw around the bony appendage, so much that blood falls much like the tears around your eyes.
“It hurts….” You manage to let out. But he’s not listening. Much like a hound he has gone absolutely feral, embracing your entirety with his bulky body. His hands claw onto your spine leaving marks, and his legs are wrapped around your waist. He lets go, and switches to your neck, biting just as hard. Like he was starving he licks the blood away, no kisses and no passion put into it, just pure desperation. After protesting more and more the pain just numbs out with the rest, and you decide to relax, and stay in his arms while he devours you away. “i love you” he says, and your mind goes blank.

Loved your pocket cat piece! Could i request some platonic yandere enki headcanons?
Enki is… such a fucking prick. He acts like he cannot suffer your existence yet his allowing you to tag along side him is irrefutable proof that there is at least some care in between the two of you, though everyone else could certainly be fooled.
Platonic!Yandere Enki Headcanons
I cannot stress how much of a total piece of shit he is. Enki is not kind, not even to you, someone that he 'apparently' cares for.
You're lesser than the insects that he communicates with. That's how little he thinks of you.
BUT that doesn't change the fact that you are his and his alone.
Constantly belittles you verbally, both in private and in front of others, regardless of whether or not they are strangers or people you or he know.
He is touch repulsed and will not allow you to touch him.
Ever.
He, however can touch you as he pleases.
With his gloves on, of course.
It's not like he even keeps you around to do... undesirable tasks. Enki doesn't care to get his hands dirty, be it from human sacrificing or raising the dead. Why does he keep you around, then?
...well, he's not about to ever give you that answer.
Sometimes your a verbal and physical punching bag for him. Other times you're a confidant, closer than even the insects under his thrall.
He's worse than the weather. Fine and fair one moment and a raging storm the next. You can't begin to predict what will set him off or what will lengthen his good mood.
He's not so unlike the gods in that regard...

Tw: not so nice behaviour from Enki
_____________________♡___________________
He had known you way back. he didn't bat an eye on you, or anyone in particular. And if happens to have interest in someone, it's Only to use them for his adventures.
Regardless, if you ever meet him during the day, later in midnight, when he's all alone, sedulous himself with his books and cursed knowledges. And put aside his papers. You. very back in his mind, your face linger the longer he stray away.
It's normal. or that's what he wanted to convince himself. Sure, you do have a face he doesn't see every day, or meet people like you every day. He never bothered to think too much.
So dense, asking him stupid question other people or books could answer you, even more if you ask him about something you looking for, but can't help to search for most useless book that won't damage your simple mind. No, he won't give it to you personally. He would lay it around and hopefully that will shut your curiosity.
Worse if you ask him about his health or "check him up". So naive, can't you see he's not people person? He would answer you with silence if he feels nice at the moment.
You don't have a reason to deal with the priest of destruction, other than your stupid personality. He get irritated, mad even, but when you do go away, he can't even rest. he would curse you, for inflicting him this way. And him, because he never thought to get this low over someone, it's already bad anyway.
What did you do to him?
Is it how you behave? He doesn't need someone like you in his life. Is it your beauty? He saw and heard people slither over others you will mistake them as divine beings, Yet never had the urge to pull his nose away from the bit he drawn himself into. Is it Your skills? Your nothing compared to him, at least with magic.
That's all the lies he stuff his head before sleep, if he ever get any.
He realised skirt you away didn't solve his "normal" problem, it made it worse. As much as he hated it. He started treat you decently, if you consider answering properly with rudeness is decently.
Watching you do your stuff or reading in background is enough for him to satisfy his strang void you formed.
It didn't go away, but it least it didn't hunt him, in fact, he found some kind of pleasant when he thinks about you. Rather feel mild and willing to rest or take a nap. He's not avoiding the thought of you any longer.
.....
.....
.....
It's not enough.
The next days, he would find himself linger for something more than simple talk or imagination in his head. He needs to falth your skin with his finger tips. To hold your face between his bony weak hands. To know the details of your life. Are you well? Eating good? Have someone hurted you?
You cursed him. That's something he truly believe in. He hates it, and what he hates more is he have no idea why.
He will storm in once he see you, heart already pumping hard. He can hear it in his head. how dare you. What kind of sick mind you are. Do you realise you dealing with who?! Even though his body is weak, it doesn't mean he wouldn't leave bruises where he grasped your wrist.
You plead to him, you have no idea what he's talking about and you have no intentions to do such thing him.
He gazed at you, he don't want to believe you, but he knew beat around the bush won't do anything. He unhanded you and mumbled something of apologies and insults. Since then, you barely see him.
He already have other things in his mind, thirsty for more knowledge and wondering about the very new prophecies of a man called Le'garde. And now he's starving himself from you, and how did you manage to land a hit like that on him effortlessly. Then he left with no words. Little did he know... someone saw him at dawn when he was leaving, and it was nobody but you.
When he saw the dungeons, he was sure he will get the All the answers he's looking for. And sure as hell, he might never leave.
You didn't exactly follow him, in fact, you were intentionally heading to the dungeons for reasons you have. You never know Enki was already there.
And you can imagine how horrified he was when he noticed you passing his small room. He was angry, surprised, scared, and for the most, concerned.
You are Bizarre, weak, crazy even. Your not enough to fight of the evil in this dungeons.
Stupid stupid stupid.
You not supposed to roam around like this. And he will make sure of it.
You already know what you put yourself up to. You should have expected anything and everything.
_____________________♡____________________
doesn't care if you are in a position he can't ease. What matters most is to keep you breath. He doesn't feel sorry. The dungeons made his thoughts even worse, as well as his opposition. So keeping you around made things much better, for him, at least.
ruthlessly shut you off whenever you complain about something or lash at you for your mistakes.
He would never leave you behind, so you always pushing with him against the place. And in case you try to run away, he ties your hands and neck with a rope, keeping distance so close so he can guide you easily.
In case you guys reast, he will give you the most food and drinks he got, and don't try to argue he need to eat more, unless it's necessary.
He will let you sleep on him if you're tired and can't keep moving. He would trace your face and play with your hair, admiring your features up close. Just to warn you, he's not comfortable at all to sleep on, he's very skinny and you can feel his bones. But he hopes his touch will calme you down and hopefully sleep. (He would be surprised tho consider the position you both in)
If he dies, you die. Because you won't survive for sure, unless there's a miracle. If you die, he dies. Because if he run out of his tricks or can't brought you back. You better believe this man would slaughter himself in front of your corpse.
He won't call it love, he's not familiar with warm emotions. But he do feel he needs to keep you alive at any costs. You are like a puzzle he needs to solve. like a drug he can't get enough of it.
He knows you need much more friendlier and caring behaviour, so he tries what he can do when he's not trying focus to survive.
He would uncomfortably hug you, play with your hair, kiss you, or do whatever you like. Just don't bother him when he's not in mood, which is kinda hard if you ask me.
Forgot about the team party, forgot about any creature willing to help. You are his and only his. He won't give you a chance, to you or anyone tries to get you out of his control. Hell, he won't even think about helping them if they left to bleed in front of him, no matter how loud you cry or beg. He doesn't want to risk it.
2/10, won't recommend it if you look for sunshine rainbows and warm hugs.
Can you escape him? Indeed not inside the dungeons. What about home? Welp... you have to outsmart him or have someone helping you. Also, maybe you should know how to protect yourself from dark magic. He won't mind breaking a limp or 2.

Bloody knees
V - Ritual
Pairing: Enki x reader
CW: NSFW, Description of gore
Read on Ao3
Summary: After an almost deadly encounter, Enki is badly wounded. You offer to help him heal by performing a ritual to the goddess of life and creation; Sylvian.
Tumblr media
You’d both found yourself pinned against a door, gasping for air, your shivering body desperately trying to regain composure. Your lungs burned and your face was hot red, a sticky mixture of sweat and blood dripping down your body. The fight had been unexpectedly perilous and you were lucky to escape alive. Even more shocking was the fact that you’d both managed to slay the beast, escaping out the pit before you could alert more creatures.
Slumped over and catching your breath, your eyes met Enki’s, and for the first time you noticed vulnerability painted all over his face. His teeth were gritted shut, exhaling painful shallow breaths, his hands tightly cupping his abdomen. You let your mouth hang open wide for a minute before you gathered yourself and approached him. “Are you hurt….?” You asked, concern plaguing your voice. You noticed the priest scoff slightly at your words, removing a hand from his stomach and showing it to you. It was covered in blood, the dark thick substance pooling out from his wound, staining the floor red.
You took that as your answer and dropped to your knees, placing your hands on his to help prevent any more of the blood from gushing out of him. “…What are you doing?” His eyes had widened and he let a scowl from on his lips. “I’m saving your life, now sit down!” You commanded pressing your palm against him. He begrudgingly agreed and let his back press against the wall as he slipped down to your height, gasping in pain as his wound opened even more due to the movement. A few strands of his hair were messily plastered onto his face, as he glared at you with an unreadable expression.
You attempted to determine how deep the wound was, pressing your fingers into his flesh. He writhed beneath before you watched his eyes darken. Hands came up to grab your wrists stopping you from going any further. “Be careful, woman!” He scolded you, his breathing shallow and pained. “I’m sorry- this has to happen, just stay still and I will make this quick.” You reassured, prying your hands away him to delve into your satchel. You pulled up a bag of herbs and a piece of scrap cloth you’d fashioned into a bandage. He narrowed his eyes at the sight of the equipment but chose to keep his mouth shut, giving you a slight nod as you began to wrap the cloth around him. He winced at the sudden pressure; his pupils completely blown out as they fixated onto yours.
You frantically wrapped around the wound. “Damn it…” You cursed, watching your attempts go to waste as the blood leaked straight through the cloth, adding to the dark puddle that had formed on the floor. Enki was a pale man but his skin had begun to turn yellow he’d lost so much blood; you weren’t sure you’d be able to save him if you didn’t act fast immediately. “P-priest, how can I save you!?” You stuttered out, your voice shaky with concern. Enki’s eyes darted towards his satchel and then back towards yours, his gaze lingering a slight bit too long on your lips before he gritted his teeth and shook his head. “There is one way…” He begun, as one hand pressed against his abdomen, the other reaching for his satchel and pulling out a book.
“It’s a ritual, one performed by worshippers of Sylvian; the goddess of creation. Though am I right to assume you’ve never heard of such a being?” He slowly pried through the pages his eyes thoroughly grazing across each section. You paused, thinking to yourself a moment before shaking your head. “I’m not sure…” You admitted, sitting down cross-legged on the cold stone, causing a shill to run up your spine. “Then it’s probably for the best we don’t attempt it…” He exhaled a long breath before closing the book and laying it next to him, letting his head lean back again the stone. “What? Why?” You grabbed the tome and planted it back in his grasp. “No! I will not accept that, you will die otherwise, look at you!” You gestured to the gash which hadn’t ceased seeping out dark liquid.
He looked at you sternly before he scoffed, leaning his face closer to yours. “Fine, but do not blame me if this thickens the air for the remainder of the journey.” He spat, flicking to a page in the book. “It’s a healing ritual… one that heals both participants…” “Yes, so how is it performed?” Enki broke eye contact, squeezing his temple and wincing in discomfort at what he was about to say. He cleared his throat and pulled on your wrists again, this time much tighter than before. “I can’t believe I am saying this… To perform the ritual one must unite themselves with at least one other person.” You cocked your head to the side, raising a brow. “By that I mean… Intercourse.” He elaborated letting go of you; his face devoid of any colour.
“I’ll do it.” The priest stayed silent a moment his mouth slightly agape with surprise, before nodding, his eyes locking onto yours once more. They were half lidded from the fatigue and blood loss, his gaze had become unfocused and glazed over. “Let us not waste any time then… for what it’s worth… thank you.” He sighed, his gaze softening. You nodded, climbing on top of him of gently as you could, earning a pained groan from the priest as he sucked in quick breaths of air. “-Sorry” “It’s fine.” You winced as his hands steadied themselves on your hips, rubbing across the sore bruises adorning your body, causing you to let out a slight whimper. “Does that hurt?” Enki muttered through gritted teeth. “No- it’s okay.”
You weren’t sure whether you were or weren’t a virgin- whatever the case was it didn’t matter as you had no memory of any previous encounters. You smiled awkwardly as Enki pulled you closer to him, his own expression conflicted in itself. “Are you sure that you want to do this?” He asked as your bodies pressed up against each other tighter and tighter. He desperately attempted to cling onto a calm demeanour however you could feel his heartbeat thumping violently in his chest, beads of sweat rolling down his face. His body felt thinner than you expected, you could feel his bones press up against you, prodding at your flesh. “I am not going to let you die, Enki.” You assured him, trailing your fingers up his legs. He bit his lip as he felt you lift up his robe exposing himself to the cold air of the dungeon. You kept your eyes glued to his face, as he reluctantly pulled you on top of him. He shot you a nervous look before screwing his eyes shut, letting a moan slip from his lips.
You felt his blood trickle down your leg mixing with the sweat and moisture that leaked out from you, letting out shallow breaths as you clumsily grinded on top of him, feeling him pulsate inside of you. The sharp pain quickly subsided and turned into an ecstasy, only exemplified by the disgruntled priests tight grasp on your body. Enki’s eyes were wide, colour seeping back into his face, desperately trying to avert his gaze to avoid coming to terms with what was happening. You swatted away some loose hairs that’d stuck to his forehead and leaned in further to his face. “M-may I kiss you?” You asked in between thrusts. “…You may…”
Your arms wrapped around his shoulders as you closed the distance between the both of you, moaning against his lips. He kissed you softly, his lips as cold as the rest of his body, the taste of iron and herbs lingering on your lips. His hands slipped up to rest on your waist, pulling you further into him as you felt him beginning to take charge with a silent determination. A few minutes of ecstasy passed; your bodies pressed tightly together fighting off death itself as you begun to feel yourself slip into a trance. “Resist it…” Enki spoke against your neck, exhaling weak breaths against your skin, causing the hairs on your body to stand up. You did as you were told and refused to let yourself succumb to the trance-like state.
Finally, his grip on your body tightened as you sped up your movements, rolling into him as a painful knot formed in your abdomen. You were both drenched in your own sweat and blood as you finally reached your climax, briefly hearing soft whimpers slip out of the priest’s mouth, as he seeped into you.
Enki let his back fall against the wall, the little colour he had returning to his face, as he fixed his robe. “Did it work?” You asked through heavy breaths, collapsing onto his chest. He raised a brow at the gesture before bringing himself to awkwardly pat your lower back, averting his eyes to where the wound had been. You follow his gaze, only to find that the only thing left was a faint scar.

Enki Ankarian in... love?!?! (small drabble + headcanons) 🪱🪲
C/Ws: slight desc of sickly appearance AND NOT PROOF READ enjoy wonky yummy grammar because I do too
• I know, it's unbelievable that Enki, of all people, can fall in love!!! Despite his antisocial personality and hermit way of lifestyle, he is still capable of basic human emotions (yet he's bad at naming them or recognizing at all)
• For him to develop any kind of relationship, he must be bound to that person by circumstances (for e.g, being stuck in the dungeons of Fear and Hunger, like you're rn!!!). Since he's forced to spend time with you like this, he will unintentionally get used to your presence because, like, he has to. You were crucial to him, without your assistance dwelling deep into the dungeons would be a one way trip towards death itself
• Like this he bears with you. Thoughts of '"how are they" and "what are they thinking" will slowly creep into his rotten dark brain. You will soon find him more talkative and genuinely invested in whatever relates to you. He will ask more questions about you without you being the conversation's initiator
• Yet he will still try to keep distance between him and you. He's not used to any sort of affection or a relationship based on trust. Expect him to warm up to you and then distance himself again as soon as he realizes that he got too close
• Of course he'll start worrying about your well-being as well. Y'all need to go over to that dark mysterious corner? Enki will go first and keep you behind him. Nonono! You can't eat that rotten cabbage, eat this fresh carrot instead. Enki has eaten worse, this hopefully won't upset his stomach that much unlike yours. You're really tired and sleepy? Let's rest in this room with a bed. Take that bed instead, Enki's fine with leaning against the wall nearby
• Okay help I'm running out of ideas /srs,,,, BUT LEMME JUST THROW IN THIS:::
(y/n) barely could keep up with the dark priest. Their feet gave away, with each step their legs felt heavier and heavier. Yet they kept quiet. They couldn't afford to just rest here out of all places, too far away from the surface. In such a dark place filled with grotesque gore scent and soggy filthy ground. Despite all that, it couldn't keep their mind away from sleepiness and hunger.
*thud*
And (y/n) fell on the ground loud and hard. Enki immediately turned his head to his companion's direction and strictly asked:
"What's that all of a sudden?"
"Don't worry, I accidentally tripped," (y/n) answered as they desperately tried to get up.
It really looked pitiful. Their hands trembled and they barely could lift up their fragile frame. The priest huffed at their words (especially the "don't worry" part) and walked up to them to give them a lift.
"You're horrible at lying," Enki commented as (y/n) leaned against his shoulder.
They were completely pale, it was as if their body was deprived of blood. It didn't look like this before, well not that bad. Enki frowned his eyebrows.
"We're still not close to Ma'habre, don't you dare to die on me." and with those words you both walked around in search of a safe room.
The man's cold heart ached at his companion's sickly appearance. It was too much. He couldn't drag you to the ancient city in such a vulnerable state. You weren't just a meat shield like he thought at first, you were something more to him that he refused to say out loud in his head.
In this hell of a place, both dwellers were successful in finding a relatively safe place to rest. Enki placed (y/n) against the wall and proceeded to set up a bonfire. It was painfully cold, a single torch failed to keep anyone warm.
As the priest was trying to set up a fire, (y/n) finally found some strength to speak "We don't have to rest unless you need it... I can go on, it was nothing really,"
Enki sighed and said nothing. What he wanted to say he couldn't. Someone like him can't soften up. Someone like him can't succumb to 'lowly' human feelings and say words of comfort. Eventually the fire was set and he could rest alongside with you. Enki took his bag and found a piece of dried meat between books and various potions. Without a second thought, he offered it to (y/n):
"Eat,"
(y/n)'s eyes widened at this gesture. After five seconds of silence, they shook their head.
"But this is the last food we have. Let's at least split it-" (y/n) tried to reason with Enki, but he interrupted.
"No, just take it,"
Of course (y/n)'s stomach already felt like it was about to eat itself from inside out, yet they just couldn't bare with the thought of eating all it themselves.
"That's unreasonable," they tried to argue.
But Enki was unusually stubborn in this matter "I insist."
They were already at their brink of blacking out from starvation and exhaustion, so they agreed. And like this, (y/n) started eating while Enki flip through some ancient book of unknown origins to them. It felt so serene to be like this with him. Too serene, too cozy for the dungeons of Fear and Hunger. Too comfortable to the point that (y/n)'s eyes began to close by themselves. Enki noticed it (because he was occasionally throwing glances at you).
"Sleep, sleep. I'm not fatigued, I will keep an eye on our surroundings." The dark priest spoke as he continued to read his book.
(y/n) could swear that they saw his strict facial expression soften up a little bit. Or was it the lighting creating an illusion?
Thoughts of why Enki did what he did plagued (y/n). Was it purely to keep them alive so that it will secure him a somewhat safe travel to the ancient city? Or was it because he wasn't a cold hearted monster after all? With these thoughts, (y/n) finally closed their eyes and fell into a deep slumber. Their head landed on Enki's shoulder. The dark priest sighed and kept reading.
"And why do I even like you." He quietly mumbled to himself, not really meant for you to hear.

Among moth eaten tomes
Enki Ankarian x fem!Reader. Complete One shot.
When the group first saw her, the barbarian had raised his weapon and the knight was at ready. Gritted teeth and faces bleached of everything except fear. Not moving from their defensive position until she explained that she wanted just to trade.
It was an excuse to interact on her part.
A lovely swordswoman. A shivering child. An outlander. A shewolf. A thief. And finally a priest of a devotion unknown to her. It's comedic. The party is a mishmash of characters from everywhere with no apparent alignment and they wander these cursed walls bound in tragedy.
She follows after the party on a hunch that they might have something to do with her mission.
Having been sent a long way from home to bear witness to the horrors of the deep.
Why, who and what? She doesn't know, and was told it is not her place to question the blessings of the divine path, it was the high priestess Ignat who sent her, having received a vision.
Ignat is too old to go, thus she was elected in her place. Observe from the shadows for any inclination on her duty. Whatever happens here, so far from the heavens, she was told, decides human advancements.
This group is something more than the other unfortunates. Not special. Not chosen. Just a strange group in the middle of a spider's woven web . She can feel the silk on her tongue and this she trails them.
If the monsters nearly killed her several times, it's pure torment for the party of six. She struggled not to intervene. (if that happened then she would die with them.)
From the shadows between pillars, Death precedes each move, each split decision. These mind weary travelers are stretched to their limits.
Watching them trudge and fight has become a habit.
And who can blame her if she leaves the rare treat of stale bread in their path when she has extra? She's not interfering! if anything just delaying the inevitable! Stalking the halls after them ,offering trades and bought for advice. Not that they heed it.
There's nothing wrong with feeding strays. She won't meddle (much) with each meeting she is tempted to do further for them. She learns their names via an exchange for a non rotten chunk of meat.
Her eye has caught by a figure that hangs in the back, not part of the comradery of the others, rather seeming to deem himself above it all.
Enki Ankarian.
A silver haired waif of a man. Tall but hunched in his dusty black robes. At first sight his gray complexion made her confuse him with a freshly reanimated corpse. He has as much expression as one. Face changing between consternation and annoyance when not in a fight for his life.
Yet she is enamored with this. Wanting nothing other than to sweep his thin form in her arms and take him home. The thought keeps her warm in the dungeons and helps send her off to sleep.
She should feel this strange pulsing need for the barbarian or the swordswoman, strong as they are with flexing muscles and glistening frames. Her usual type of craving. Even the thief has a charm to him. She's no stranger to the throes of lust. The bookish types were never her cravings until now.
As the rest of the group sleeps he is stowed away in the library.
His companions none the wiser but before she walks into the room he resides in she spies the owl pupils of the nameless child peering at her. Impossibly wide and tired under her choppy haircut.
She gives her a small smile and wave, entering, shaking the uneasy feeling the girl gives her. She should investigate that emotion further, her gut is rarely wrong.
When madness had not taken this place, the room must have been a study. Somewhere to document the keepings and supplies.
Now its words have are abandoned by all. Except her stubborn priest who is constantly studying. The candlelight gives his small nook away. Enki is in a tucked corner among bookshelves and a rock wall. Lost in his words, she leans silently on a shelf and looks him over.
Limp hair obscuring his down turned face, reading a heavy tome. heavy bags under his eyes and a lined forehead. Enki’s thin fingers turn the page carefully to not rip the delicate paper. Pouring over scrolls and pages of whatever he can get his hands on with no regard for whether what's inside is better left unread.
Suicide by learning . It would be the most fitting death for a (self centered bastard) ‘devoted scholar.’
He smells her before he sees her. The dog that has trailed them for days. Cahara had been the first to notice her and now she's everywhere they turn.
Her scent fills his lungs. Smoky wisps of incense and a pile of burning leaves, against his better judgment he inhales too long. Enjoying the clean scent free of disease and death. Gritting his teeth
, A distraction he doesn't want or need yet persist
Better her than the guards. She's thus far proven to be harmless. However, his suspicion rises as the others lower.
Finally, she speaks. “Ankarian.”
She savors the feeling of his eyes on her. Studying as if she is beneath his notice or a particularly annoying insect. She gives him her best smile. Batting her eyelashes.
“Oh, it's you again.” he scoffs and returns to reading.
Losing a man's attention to dusty old. Mama would laugh if she knew.
“What are you reading?”
His thin lips lift in a sneer “Something you wouldn't understand.” Another thing that should cool her ourdur for him but does the opposite, Enki is an arrogant prick. According to him, everyone is below his mighty brain and his intellect is matched by a rare few. Apparently, she isn't one of them.
She sighs. “Try me?”
“No. Run along and leave me, I have no interest wasting my time with you “ and that's that for several minutes, she studies his jaw. Clenched due to her meddling.
He can feel her gaze burning a hole on his face. Failing to comprehend the page In front of him, he'll have to start over.
“You seek knowledge of the old gods?” She smiles pretty, making sure the candlelight catches her sharp teeth. “I have all the secrets you seek.”
"Do you? I highly doubt that a common ruffian such as you would have anything that interests me" he says in a tone that clearly does not believe her.
She nods. " Well I do but I won't tell you, because you are so mean."
A vein on his temple throbs. For a moment she swears he's about to attack her with an incantation. “I don't need anything from you. Leave me. Wench.”
She almost couldn't hold in her giggles.

You don't have to answer this ofc, but what is your opinion on the main four(D'arce, Cahara, Enki, and Ragnvaldr)? Also, what's your take on them as Yanderes? If you don't feel like answering this im really sorry for bothering you! Hope you are having a great day!!❤️
Thank you! :D
---
D'arce is a worshipping and delusional yandere! She thinks you're absolutely perfect, a god in human form without even needing to ascend. She would go to the ends of the earth for you. Anything you say is truth. Everything you do is perfect. All D'arce wants is to love you and protect you. She was your knight, after all! And all she really asks for in return is the blessing of being able to by your side. As your confidant. Your knight. Your lover.
Bearing the soul of the endless, Cahara had spent much of his life simply drifting by, seeing where his travels and jobs take him. The flings he'd had before were simply that - flings. He figured it'd be more of the same with you, but no. You fascinated him. You were like an addiction. He became obsessed, wanting to always be close to you, touch you, look at you, know everything about you any way he could. At some point, Cahara had an epiphany. It was almost like you... You were meant to be. His infatuation over you has become endless, as well.
Enki is definitely possessive. He wants to make sure that not only do you know you're his, but so does everyone else. He keeps himself very close to you, boxing you away from the others. Being a tad sadistic, he'll threaten your or your allies to keep you in line - and he may even make good on some of them! If he senses any potential rivals, he won't hesitate to simply cast an incredibly agonizing spell on them that slowly kills them over time.
Ragnvaldr is a protective yandere. After losing his entire life, his family, to the Knight of The Midnight Sun, Ragnvaldr hadn't been the same man. His soul was that of the tormented, but when he was with you, the burden was so much easier to bear. He found friendship in you, clicking together like you were always meant to meet. But, Ragnvaldr finds himself waiting for the next boot to drop. For you to be taken from him, too. The idea his terrifying. He can't lose the last good thing in his life. He can't let anyone else die...! He doesn't care what he has to do to keep you safe. Even if it means sawing off all your limbs so you can never, ever leave. It's okay. He has enough strength to protect you.
