what kind of dog is mine?????
Ooh, your pup looks a lot like my own! And similarly, I also don't know exactly what she is, either, lol. But if I had to take a guess at this fella, I'd guess some kind of hound/herding mix. Assuming you're from the US, American English Foxhound, or a closely-related breed, is likely somewhere in there (not a common breed to be kennel-club registered, but I get the sense there's a lot of them and their mixes running around unregistered, since they're such common farm and hunting dogs). Perhaps also some Border Collie, judging by the ears and the way the fur ruffs up around his neck.
Regardless of his breed, though, he gets an unofficial official Tumblr Kennel Club registration of Good Boy from me!

Breeds For All Needs Update
If the GoS theme this month wasn't a sign that I needed to get back to my Breeds For All Needs project I don't know what is!
Now for those of you who DON'T know what this is - essentially I wanted to remake all of the breeds from TS1-TS4. I also linked existing pet breeds by other creators when I found ones I liked. And then I got distracted and forgot about it.
As a refresher, here's a complete list with links to those I have already completed - please note some of these breeds I -have- done but part of the project is including links to other creators so I haven't made the official post yet:

For your next delight!
Thank you, friend! So because I also suffer from can’t-shut-up-itis, I would like to share some of my epiphany in the shower last night.
I’ve mentioned before about having a WIP about Rebecca and her relationships that stemmed from the line that came to me while on vacation back in September:
No one tells you how devastating it is to lose your father while he’s still alive.
But then, upon discussions with you and also your ask after publishing apologies from my tongue, but never yours about the plethora of Bad Dads (or could be Bad Dads) in the TL universe I thought I could rework the other fic into that. And who else is having a bad time at Rebecca’s father’s funeral? You guessed it: Jamie.
So here is a snippet of what I wrote last night:
One look at Jamie’s face told Rebecca she wasn’t the only one in need of some alone time.
“It’s okay,” Rebecca said, voice softening. “You can stay.”
Jamie looked unsure and lost, eyes tracking between Rebecca and the exit slightly behind her.
“I want you to stay,” Rebecca added, surprising even herself. “Sit. Please.”
Jamie dropped immediately back to the floor, legs crossed. So the rumours were true then. The new and improved Jamie Tartt was as well trained as the English Foxhounds her Uncle Alastair took hunting.
“I’m sorry,” Jamie offers, clearing his throat, his voice sounded as if he had been crying. “About your Dad. Uh, it must be difficult. I can’t imagine.”
There was an incident in the changing room.
Higgins’ words after the Manchester City loss hit Rebecca then.
“James Tartt was in the locker room. There was a confrontation with Jamie.”
“What did Jamie do this time?”
Rebecca was embarrassed now at her reaction.
This will also fill my need because I can’t believe there was exactly zero follow up in regards to Jamie and his Dad other than Jamie not having spoken to him since Wembley.

Thank you for your answer! It was very informative and got me thinking. I think the issue some people have with Pitbulls being a very active, often intense dog, is that other people try and use it as an excuse to have the Pitbull and other bully breeds all banned or disappear.
I feel the myth of the nanny dog has hurt the breed as a whole, tho so has people who see their dog as just a object with no training. You mentioned that they are dog aggressive, but are there any breeds that a Pitbull can work well with? Or a most effective way of having them not be aggressive towards other dogs?
And regarding the Bully breeds as a whole, how do you feel about each or specific ones? As some are known to naturally be more intense than others, and do you feel there should be more classes for them, rather than calling all a Bully breed?
Something we must remember is that pit bull type dogs are only the most recent dog breed to go through this. They are absolutely not alone (before current day it was German Shepherds and Rottweilers that held this stigma) and most breed ban lists for apartments include huskies, malamutes and other primitives. I think breed bans are ridiculous frankly and I think the fear the pit bull will disappear is unfounded. Yes, they might not be as prominent or popular, but in my opinion that is a good thing, because then they might be owned in majority by people that can properly manage them.
Pit Bulls are by design dog aggressive. They are bred to see other dogs as prey as this is the drive that causes them to fight. Which is what they were bred for. There are many other dog breeds that are also genetically dog aggressive for various reasons be it guardian work or just in general primitive dog things (primitive dog breeds tend to be same sex aggressive). Dog aggression can be on a sliding scale of very to none at all and can also be indiscriminate between other dogs or gender specific. Most adult dogs of a majority of dog breeds are dog selective to a degree (meaning they don't adore all other dogs indiscriminately and only have a few close dog friends they mesh well with). The most affective way to have a pit bull not be aggressive towards other dogs is to manage them so they do not get the opportunity to be aggressive towards other dogs. This means no dog parks, muzzle training, reactivity training, probably not letting them off leash etc. The best type of dog to pair with a pit bull is a human being (the pit bull is supposed to be very soft with people).
I think "bully breed" is simply an overarching term for a bunch of related dog breeds, much how we use "spitz breed" to describe various types of northern dogs with different purposes that have a double coat, pointy ears, and a curling tail. The various breeds that fall under the bully category (and which breeds fall under this category changes depending on who you ask) are classified in breed registries depending on their original purpose. I don't think they need new classifications because this is how many related breeds that aren't the bully type dogs are broken down. (For example, both Greyhounds, English Foxhounds and Norwegian Elkhounds are in the hound group, but look distinctly different. They are however classified all as hounds due to their purpose, which is being used for hunting. A Norwegian Elkhound, Alaskan Malamute, and German Spitz are all spitz type dogs, but also serve very different purposes and are thus classified differently. The American Pit Bull Terrier and the French Bulldog are both commonly classified as "bully dogs" due to their history, but we can all agree they always have and still do serve different purposes).
The American Pit Bull Terrier is a recognized breed (UKC) with a breed club, breed events etc. and is in the Terrier group. I'm linking the standard HERE so everybody can get a good sense for what the breed should be.
#dogblr#faq#american pit bull terrier#bully dogs#i'm not going to go into american bullies bc i think a majority of them are a sin against christ

Care, Mentor, Social Circle, Fate, Past :0 for Amanda 💚 Sorry if that's a lot!
Oh, godness, you are literally asking me for her whole lore! I am so excited! Here we go!!
How does your OC engage in self-care, if at all? If they don't, why not?
Amanda doesn't give a damn about her life. She is like a walking zombie, getting laid with whoever who shows a hint of affection and all. She even drinks a lot and she has yellow teeth due to her abusive smoking habit.
She wants to die, yet she also wishes to fulfill Big Boss' wish about an Outer Heaven. That's the only motivation for her to live.
Does your OC have a mentor? Have they ever reached out to anyone for guidance or teaching, or been taken under someone's wing? How does your OC get along with their mentor?
There are two men in Amanada's life. It all started during the Peace Walker events, where the MSF soldiers found a baby in the jungle. Big Boss considered it as an early Christmas gift (since he believes in Santa Claus, haha), so he tried his best to take care of her with Kaz and the rest of the crew. Her codename, Southern Explosion, was BB's idea during this time, but officially her first name was Espo. No one knows the meaning behind this name, tho.
During his coma, misteryously Ocelot appeared, taking the girl with himself. How did he know about the baby's presence, in the first place? He was the one who named her Amanda and raised her until TPP events. By this time, Amanda was an agile girl, fluent in both English and Russian, skilled in guns and self defense, but still weak compared to other kids like Eli.
Amanda goes back to Big Boss' guardianship, following him with respect and devotion. BB is way more strict and harsh than Ocelot, yet he taught her the most valuable lessons about survivance and CQC. It's pretty obvious she goes to the Army, and later she joins FOXHOUND, to abandon it once the Operation Intrude N313 takes place. You know BB runs away to create Zanzibar Land, and so Amanda follows him. Then guess what? Her current PMC, Star Eagle, is the remains of Zanzibar Land. She's trying to create the Outer Heaven BB wished.
Ocelot returns to her life after the Zanzibar Land Disturbance. He doesn't join Star Eagle but takes her soldiers into consideration for several missions he wouldn't involve FOXHOUND in. But Amanda didn't notice Ocelot was just using her, making her work for The Patriots... The Big Shell Incident showed her Ocelot's true colors, leaving her confused and angry.
What's your OC's social circle? Are they obligated to spend time with others in their circle, or are they happy to be there? Has their social standing and social circle ever changed, and if so, how did your OC feel about it?
Her social circle is mainly masculine, surrounded by soldiers or politicians. After the Big Shell Incident, she starts searching for bigger contacts for her own benefit. Take into consideration she got a degenerative illness, so she needs a special set of nanomachines. Ocelot could provide it to her, but after she kicked him out of her life, she needs a new dealer.
Does your OC believe in destined meetings? True love, soulmates, hearing the bells? Have they ever experienced this?
She only believes in death.
Does your OC have any past partners? How did the relationship(s) end? Are any of their exes still in their life, and if so, do they get along?
After BB's death, she finds consolation in other men's bed. I am not saying she has got some sort of daddy issues but... You know!
There are rumours that she felt a connection with Solidus, but these are just rumours. She seduced Sundowner, in order to reach deeper into the alliance Desperado has with World Marshal, and dumped him to play with Armstrong. She was so close to become the First Lady of America, until Raiden stopped her plans. You know what happens in MGR!
