Have you ever seen the encanto Hollywood bowl thing? The giant Camilo Bruno puppet they made was really cool, no one ever talks about it though

I have!! I loved it I think it came out this time last year!? that puppet was super cool! and kinda terrifying which I loved! really gave the feel of seven foot frame! the choreography was great too! they even had the dinner table and the swing! (COUGH OSCARS) I found it so fun and warm honestly!

thank you, Encanto Live at the Hollywood Bowl, for having a choir of children sing in Dos Orugitas and making me cry over this movie once again, almost exactly a year later.

Thank you, also, to that one guy in a donkey suit who was just going for it with everything he had. I saw you. You single handedly gave me the will to revisit my Encanto WIPs with the same unabashed enthusiasm.

Onward into 2023!

I once asked what Pedro would assign as the best combination of gifts. Now I need to know what would be the worst gift for everyone?

Oh, there’s a lot of options for everyone. For example, Mirabel and Dolores could be swapped and they’d be just as bad.

But I think this would be the worst combination:

Julieta - communication with animals (would be too motherly and affectionate, probably wouldn’t get much done)

Pepa - weather control via emotions (too emotional)

Bruno - nature manipulation and creation (just kinda useless, not into making things look good)

Isabela - enhanced hearing (she’d be such a gossip)

Dolores - super strength (she doesn’t care for physical work)

Luisa - giftless (she’d the most hardworking, she should have a gift)

Camilo - healing through cooking (he shouldn’t be allowed in a kitchen)

Mirabel - shapeshifting (hates socialising outside the family and can’t act/has stage fright)

Antonio - future vision (he’s a child)

Seeing all that new Disney stuff from the expo or whatever I just had a really frightening thought: We are all hoping for new content for Encanto, maybe a series or a short or even a sequel but what if they want to give us a life action remake????? 🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

I remember the day I made my roommates watch encanto because I watched it 9 times in the first month it was streaming. guy A was asking why some people were lighter skinned or very dark skinned if they were all from the same place and before I could tell him that Columbian people look like that guy B was like " "because all anyone cares about now days is DivErsiTy." And then proceeds to go on about how people would complain if Disney didnt.

He did not believe me that there was actually a lot of effort put into the movie to be authentic and that COLOMBIAN PEOPLE JUDT LOOK LIKE THAT 💀 🙄

Goodness, Bruno had completely forgotten about the mural. He’d need to add himself and Antonio; he certainly needed to update Isabela’s appearance. Honestly, with everything that had happened he just hadn’t thought about it. But as soon as she said it, an old idea came back to him.

“About that,” he said. “I was wondering…Could I add Papá too?”

For a terrible moment, he thought Alma was about to cry. Indeed, her eyes watered and her lip trembled…But she took his hand and nodded.

“Sí,” his mamá said softly. “That’s a lovely idea.”
