☀ - What's your rp pet peeve?

Replies that don't give you much wiggle room to extend the thread. One example I can think of is way way back at the beginning when Ryuji spoke to a character and one reply was just novella length of the character explaining his tragic backstory, paragraph upon paragraph of it - I don't even think he finished telling his backstory, lol.

While I do think that insights into your character's thoughts are good, if a reply only consists of that, I really can't do anything - Ryuji isn't a mind reader.

Also while I don't ever wish to rush a reply, I do believe that there some be some action to move the thread along - like if for example our muses are sitting getting coffee, I'd hope for there to be some advancement, maybe some action like one of them ordering a snack or another coffee or maybe they leave the coffee shop to continue the thread, elsewhere. I just don't like it when a thread feels stagnant, you know? If a thread feels like it's not going to advance any further, it's best to try and put in some action or wrap it up, I think.

A fox!? Oh, it’s beautiful! Nunnally’s initially surprised eyes are turning softer and she shyly and quietly speaks to the animal: --

“What are you doing here little one? Are you lost? I don’t think foxes, especially white ones like yourself, should be found in the public park.” – though Nunnally isn’t sure; she doesn’t know much about foxes, and now she isn’t sure what this beautiful creature is after. Her uncertainty lasts until she hears that little whine.

“Oh, you’re hungry… Is that my food that has brought you here?” – Nunnally looks at her lunch; she’d be happy to share, but she doesn’t know if her food is good for a creature who seems to look for her company. But perhaps any food is better than none? She unwraps her sandwich and passes it to the seemingly friendly animal. There’s some eggs, and cheese, and some leaves of green lettuce. Would that satiate their hunger?

“Oh!” – a soft exclamation as Nunnally remembers something – “I also have an apple. And a pear. Would that be to your liking?” – she asks as the fruit are put next to the sandwich.

“Come on, eat. It’s for you.” – she gently encourages.

Ooh, that's a good one! My friends and many of my followers are kind people who go above and beyond for others!

@the-expatriate is one of them. I knew them as far back as when Harmony was only a FF7 OC. We are friends here and on other social media sites. Pari-Mun has never been intimidating to me and has given me a lot of love and support over the years, which I'm grateful for. Pari-mun has been through a lot and I hope they know that I am there for them, too.

You should also check out Pari! She's a strong OC with many years of development which includes coping with her past and striving to be a better person.

@electricea is another friend who I have known for a little while, but I will tell you they are among the kindest people you will ever meet. They always share promotions of other people to help boost other blogs, are willing to reach out to people and never hesitate to offer support to people who need it.

Oh, and the muse? An A+ Ryuji! The Mun portrays Ryuji that is accurate to canon and also gives him the development he deserves!

@the-flame-blade We haven't rp yet, but he has always checked on me when he gets the chance. He offers encouragement to people who need it and supports his followers.

How do you create an OC? What are your steps for developing an OC?

For me it's really simple. First I think of an idea or find a character I wanna use as a FC and either brainstorm ideas off that or I talk to one of my friends and bounce ideas off of them.

Do you ship someone’s muses on your dash? What people make you happy when you see them on the dash?

Typically if there is a ship on my dash, and I know the muses well enough, I'd ship it and be happy to see them on the dash yes. Tbh never thought of this that much.

Viktor blinked, he was a little put off by her attitude but arguing would get him no where and she did offer to help so he was not going to turn that down. Really he did need a local touch, being new to the city.

Besides she couldn't be too bad if she offered to help.

"Thank you very much, I apologise for the vagueness of my response." He bowed. "Come, I can tell you more about her as we move...oh...my name is Viktor by the way, it's nice to meet you." Not only did this man look formal but he even spoke formally. Something he had picked up over the years.

As they started their search, Viktor would discribe his sister, Eliza, in a bit more detail. Tall, pale, scar over her eye, long black hair, brown eyes just like his. He would also bring up that she had a white streak in her hair too.

But as far as shipping goes, I'm totally open to it - I think they have a lot of fun together and we're just starting to touch on them getting vulnerable and confiding in each other. I think they'd be a good balance for each other and I'd be excited to see their dynamic as a couple so if you're down to try it, then so am I!

Lucy was always a whirlwind. Honestly, Carter wasn't sure why he hadn't just turned tail and started running as soon as he saw bright pink hair charging at him like a bull. Could he outrun her? Maybe. He had longer legs. But she definitely worked out more. Maybe he should start working out?

"Really, Pinky? A 'Sip and Paint'?" He takes a look at the flyer, grimacing. He didn't really care about the no alcohol part. Despite his looks, he didn't really like breaking the rules. She wasn’t looking for anything particular; just looking through the art books in hope that something might catch her attention. As usual Nunnally was not attentive to her surroundings, deep in her thoughts. It was only when she heard the voice complaining about her perfumes that she suddenly found herself back in the bookshop. She turned to face a man only to discover a young boy, presumably a teenager, clearly talking to her. Did she really put too much? She usually didn't as strong smells were, indeed, impolite. But there was also something weird about the boy. Bright yellow eyes? Almost like a tiger. She covered her mouth with her both hands. Both embarrassed about the smell and the smile that his unusual appearance brought onto her face: --

“I…I am so sorry. I was not aware it is so strong. I only put some rose water…usually no-one complains about it.” – then she had that thought that perhaps it is because they were in the closed room – “Do you think it is really that bad? Perhaps I should leave…” – but she just found the book she liked so she’d rather stay and purchase it.

Random fact

[ One of my role models is Steve Irwin. In fact, my entire family looked up to him. I remember the televisions in my childhood house showing Animal Planet and my family will watch “Crocodile Hunter” and other shows starring him and Teri. We even saw the movie as a family.

I miss him a lot. He was a hero to not only me, but to my parents and siblings too. I wanted to be just like him when I was about 7 years old. In the end, I kind of do what Steve does which is help animals in need and working with rehab centers and veterinary care. I also walked people through reuniting baby wild animals like rabbits with their mothers and step in when someone calls an emergency.

It’s not as exciting as working with crocodiles, but I like to think I’m kind of like Steve with my love for animals and the rescues I do with my older sister. He had so much love for animals and did what he could for them. We should also love creatures great and small and do what we can to protect them.]

I geniuely believe that people forget that a lot of the time Dash Commentaries also double as open threads, if people just interact with these then the RPC would feel much less dead.

10. What genre do you most enjoy, whether in roleplay, or fiction as a whole? (fantasy, period, superhero, etc.)

They definitely each have their merits (I feel like I say that a lot, lol - sorry!) but I'd have to say, I enjoy the simple slice of life threads the most. Nothing against fantasy verses or superhero verses, I think they can be a lot of fun - but if I'm going to write such a detailed and different verse, it would be something that would require a bit of thought and care - and that is part of the fun in writing such verses, they allow you to really get creative and potentially collaborate with the other mun you're writing it with.

But in my heart, I'll always love slice of life threads the best, I just love the simplicity and the relatability of them - so often, I find myself drawing inspiration for thread ideas, simply from just my real life around me and I honestly think that's great - these small and simple ideas are exciting and no less important to me. Plus, as someone who's not really great at action threads, I kind of enjoy the simplicity of two muses just sitting down to talk, you know? Just two people getting to know each other or catching up.
