Have you seen the People Make Games video on Disco Elysium? It just came out today, and dives into both the corruption surrounding the executives who funded/took over ZA/UM, while addressing the allegations levied against Robert Kurvitz & co. in an even-handed manner.

buckethead/bucketheadland analog horror feels like the most obvious shit ever lol
#bucketheadland employee training videos#“the ferris wheel incident”#the moment young buckethead learns what's happening to his chicken friends#death cube k jumpscare somewhere in every video#some confusing symbolism involving giant robo that never gets elaborated on#itd be dogshit obv but probably fun dogshit if it at least preserved the tongue in cheek absurdist element you get in his music/''brand''

Library training in comparison to every other customer service training I've ever had is so insane
#we walked in day one and every new employee had a name tag / lanyard / keycards / a personal binder with all of our paperwork +#employee handbooks + benefit info laid out in it#the training schedule is blocked so that between every like. one to two hour presentation/lecture we have something that lets us#get up or do a group challenge or whatever#i had roughly MAYBE thirty minutes of computer video training and the rest is all instructor-led#itll be later in the month i think but part of my training is getting cpr certified#which im excited for tbh! ive wanted to be at least cpr certified for a while#id love to also take an actual first aid class too though

k i know i’m like a year late and this isn’t like serious criticism or anything but i watched jenny nicholsons evermore park video and she’s talking about how to improve the park and she says the first thing is treating your employees better (correct) and that it’s free to do so (incorrect).
like. using them to do the weeding instead of hiring landscapers is because landscapers cost money. so treating the employees better and not asking them to do that DOES cost money. building a backstage space for them to get away from guests who are acting inappropriately costs money. more lights and security so there’s not quiet dark places for guests to get the actors alone cost money. even paying them to come in for briefing on signals about their comfort levels costs money. treating the workers better ISNT free, which is why companies don’t do it
#literally it’s a good video i just had to bring that up#people love to say ‘it costs nothing to be decent/do the right thing’#and sometimes that’s true sometimes it isn’t and when you’re an employer being decent to your employees IS going to cost money#paying them more giving them benefits (hiring them as contractors instead of employees is another way to cut costs at the workers expense)#hiring more people so you’re not short staffed#and so everyone only has to do Their Job#paying for training etc for them#those are all things a good or decent employer does#and they all very much do cost money

Video Killed the Boring Training Session
Let's face it, when it comes to employee training, we've all been subjected to those soul-crushing boredom fests. You know, those days filled with endless PowerPoints, monotonous lectures, and the unshakable feeling that you're trapped in a torturous time warp. But fear not, my friends, for video has arrived to save us all from perpetual yawn-induced comas!
The Thrill of Video-Based Learning
Why settle for snooze-worthy training when you can have your mind blown by the magic of video? These bad boys pack a serious punch, captivating learners with stunning visuals, animations that would make Pixar jealous, and storytelling so gripping, you'll forget you're supposed to be learning.
But wait, there's more! Video training is the gift that keeps on giving. It offers consistency across your organization, ensuring every employee gets the same top-notch content, whether they're in the main office or working remotely from a beachside cabana (lucky devils).
And let's not forget the money-saving aspect. Once you've invested in creating these video masterpieces, you can distribute them far and wide without breaking the bank on trainers or fancy conference rooms. It's like getting a lifetime supply of knowledge for the price of a single Masterclass subscription!
Tailor-Made for Every Training Need
From live-action thrillers that'll have you on the edge of your seat (okay, maybe that's a stretch) to animated explainers that break down complex topics into bite-sized, digestible chunks, video has got you covered for any training scenario.
Need to show off some killer software skills? Screencasts and simulations have got your back, guiding learners through every click and keystroke like a virtual Sherpa.
And for those risk-takers out there, interactive videos let you make all the wrong choices without any real-world consequences (unless you're training firefighters or something equally critical).
Lights, Camera, Effective Training!
But wait, you can't just hit record and expect a Hollywood blockbuster. Creating killer training videos takes some serious finesse.
First, you've got to nail down those objectives and know your audience. Are you training newbies or seasoned pros? Aiming for laughs or strictly professional? It's all about setting the stage for success.
Then, it's time to bring in the big guns: professional videographers, editors, and animators who can work their magic and turn your content into a visual masterpiece worthy of the big screen (or at least a decent-sized monitor).
And let's not forget distribution – you've got to make sure these video gems are easily accessible, whether your learners are on-the-go or kicking back in their living rooms.
The Bottom Line
At the end of the day, video training is a surefire way to engage your employees, boost their skills, and keep them from dozing off mid-session (unless your videos are really that boring, in which case, you might want to revisit the script).
So, embrace the power of video, and get ready to witness a transformation in your workforce's knowledge and capabilities. Who knows, you might even have some fun along the way!
