#I stole a record machine from work and put a bunch of statements on blank cassettes#honestly where I work is pretty much as close as you can get to the achieves anyway#so its pretty accurate#we've got a strange russian man who owns the building#and changes his name every month#a bug infestation we cant shake#HEAVY on the spiders#and also the time I found about 200 dead mealworms in the lobby#for some reason#also the entire job is centered around watching people#watching people react to fear situations#lots of cameras#rooms dedicated to watching people in those cameras#wherever you are theres a camera#and theres an employee dedicated to watching that camera#lets see#its also mainly windowless#time passes there weirdly#you gotta take my word on that one#you like genuinely start to tweek out#every manager there before has quit because of a giant mental breakdown#most employees too#but the breakdown isnt because the work is hard#its because being in that building feels genuinely suffocating#one of my old managers locked herself in a room for a month#then came out bald and quit never to be heard from again#oh and theres a room with dolls hanging from the ceiling#tma podcast#tma#the magnus archives

#i recently walked into like some sort of dollar store or 99 cent store or what have you#cause they had a hiring sign up and i was curious#and the district manager was there so i talked to her.#they were looking for a general manager who would have open availability+ weekends+ closings or openings+ holidays they would have to work#and i was like wow thats a lot of responsibility and hours worked how much does it pay#and she deadass looked me in the eyes and said 12 an hour. when i tell you i laughed at her#no wonder u cant get any employees if thats what ur offering for a management postition#for the record hiring rate at mcdonalds where i live is about 13 an hour for crew#so like girl. no

I have a legal question but idk who to ask so I'm posing it to the general public:
Its illegal to clock out and continue working right? If something like that were to be reported, would the employer or the employees get in trouble for it?
#p#for the record it was because we're so understaffed that there were only 2 ppl here last night doing truck#so they both didnt take a lunch and stayed over an hour past when our shifts are supposed to end#I can see the employees getting in trouble for doing that but our manager really doesn't give us a choice in situations like that#hr knows about it and condones it. hes encouraged it to me before#i havent done this bc im not interested in breaking the law for this place tbh he can just fire me atp#but the guys have practically been forced to multiple times#anf again. manager has encouraged this behavior and forced the guys to work sometimes almost 3 + extra hours#which would make for a 13 hr shift#i thimk the only reason he hasnt done this while I'm present is bc he caught wind that if i can get evidence for some of his behavior#i will report him#lmfao#but ya idk. just wondering.
