(& Leme preface this with the important context that I didn’t research this & am drawing baseless theory on an off handed comment on another post)

So there’s the debate abt Jewish people being “indigenous” to Israel because their roots date back further than the Palestinians. This is a bad argument & there are better educated people making this point more eloquently than me.

But looking at this history, and the stories we tell ourselves in our own religious ceremony, a lot of times it talks about how our people were chased off their land by the Roman’s, or during the crusades, or were enslaved by Egypt (who at the time was allied with rome? I know cleopatra & that one emperor were fucking)

& where does the spirit of colonialism & the seat of christian power go after the fall of rome? That’s right, England. & who set up the settler state of Israel? Who else, but England.

I just think it’s funny how European colonial powers chased us off our land, enslaved us & subjected us to genocide, & are now using us as pawns to chase others off the same land they chased us off centuries ago, and instead of our community coming together to denounce this increasingly hypocritical and disgusting mission, so many (older, but not old old) Jews in my life have essentially said “well we suffered so now we are entitled to make others suffer”

Hello everyone, I really don't like asking for it, but it's undeniable that me and my housemates could use some help. We live in a very conservative area, and all of us are visibly queer. We're trying to raise funds to move somewhere safer, but the only way I can earn income safely is through art, as I've been threatened or put in harm's way due to my apparent trans-ness at every place I've worked at. My roommates face similar tribulations, living in the public eye here is simply unsustainable. If you don’t mind me asking, I’m curious to hear why you aren’t crazy about Fizzozzie? Like it’s kinda generic, but compared to the dumpster fire that is Stolitz … (I guess anything is better than Stolitz though 😅)

Before I get into it, I wanna be clear, it is just a personal preference thing! This isn't objective or even criticism, it's just my opinion.

I'm really struggling putting this into words because I don't actively dislike the ship. I don't like it but I don't dislike it. I think the majority of my distaste with it comes from the fact that the focus episodes for it, s2e6-7, are such a departure from our main cast. I also don't like Ozzie's design very much :[

I personally don't like the way Ozzie shows concern for Fizz. Its a very personal thing and I don't think the show would be better implementing changes (as whats a story without some conflict) but a lot of the time it felt like they were talking past each other? I don't know if it was intended, but in the getting ready scene in s2e7 it came across as Ozzie always having Fizz's foundation and keeping it away from him while trying to convince him not to go to the competition, (He could have picked it up off the vanity and I didn't notice though.) Despite Ozzie having good intentions, he does stuff without Fizz's approval and sometimes contrary to what Fizz communicates he wants. This would probably bother me less if the two of them were at an equal status, but with Ozzie as a royal, it feels worse to me. I also don't think it is ever resolved in a satisfying way.

Once again, I know that is a pretty small personal nitpick!!! I don't think it is something the show should change. It just affects my own enjoyment of them <:] Ngl If I read fanfic and fan interpretations I would probably fall in love with their relationship, as the issues I do have would be fun to resolve, but just at base canon I can't really call myself a fan. (During checking the episodes again, I did like Ozzie's assistant sort of role in Two Minutes Notice!)

You are 100% right though anon, I'd take Fizzozzie over Stolitz every single time. Honestly, looking at the canon ships Fizzozzie is probably my favorite, but that's just because I don't like the others. (Stolitz has problems I've already ranted abt. Millie and Moxie's relationship is frustrating for me because most of Millie's personality/development/character interaction revolves around it.)

Sorry for writing a novel as a response, thanks for the question! Honestly examining my issues with them makes me want to write something for the two of them ack!
