Wanted to try drawing the Team Flare girlies, but added in my own twist to their canon designs. Apologies to Xerosic fans, I'll get to him later (￣ ￣|||)

I used a lot more black here to represent their closer connection with Lysandre more. Made only some slight adjustments here and there, but I think it still emobodies the key elements in their canon fits.

G Witch and The Door to Eternity

In the aftermath of ep21 I was a bit stumped ngl. I was convinced someone would offer the very clear feminine Utena machine to Suletta, and it was baffling we got a new one styled after Caliban instead. Where were they going with this? After looking at this screenshot, it clicked.

QZ is a coffin with Aerial trapped inside. Those of you who've seen Utena already know the connotations but let's dissect this season for a moment. We have a betrayal, and then Miorine in the rosebride's stead bearing the 'swords of human hatred'.

But the same could be said of Aerial. A betrayal and bearing Prospera's sins as Anthy does for Akio.

Now we see QZ and its a coffin of all things, opening a door to Eri's eternal existence. We just went through Utena 39 throughout this season. But what happens next?

Akio attempts to bash down the door using brute masculine force. Note, this is the Sword of Dios. A sword of a prince with a name meaning God. Caliburn is a holy sword used by King Arthur. The connection is overt.

And Calibarn is just as obvious with paying homage to this sword and minor antagonist in the Tempest. Yet Caliban, like Akio, is a violator who cannot conceive of anything but brutish solutions. He's pitiable but ultimately doomed to remain in servitude. Like Akio he does not achieve what he wants.

I'm uncertain if Suletta will pilot this 'monster' but if she does, she's ultimately doomed to fail. A violator and abuser cannot open the door to eternity.

Finally, Utena takes her turn. She tries like Akio to force open the door and fails. Akio is certain she cannot open the door without a sword. But in the end it's not force or swords that transform the door into Anthy's coffin, where she hid and allowed herself to bear the world's hate. And that's not what finally frees her either. It's unconditional love that allows them to finally see each other fully at last.

This parallel means, in my opinion, a monstrous gundam like Calibarn cannot reach Eri and it's only a gundam that emobodies feminine attributes, the symbolic lovechild of Mio and Guel's good intentions gone awry, that will allow Suletta to reach her. It's not hard to liken the crumbling imagery here to QZ after Eri is freed as her counterpart in The Tempest. I might be wrong, but it's no accident imo that the Schwarzette bears Movie Utena's uniform colors and coded with Mercury symbolism. If I'm wrong, hey it's fun food for thought!

Note: I have considered that since Caliburn is a temporary weapon, we’ll see Suletta fail like Akio and need to try again thus completing the parallel. Arthur is given Excalibur by The Lady Of The Lake. Considering the OP with Mio sinking in water, could be intentional assuming it’s not a gaffe. DUB will clarify

for jegulus i feel like it's a bit obvious.. they're so orpheus and eurydice coded.. to me.. it's all about devotion and being incapable to accept a lost love or move on and yet not being able to save the other person, or bring them back, bc it's been doomed since the start. but it was still beautiful while it lasted, and any of them looking back is proof that the love was there in the first place, and that it mattered!!

i could also see them as pygmalion and galatea (shout out to my beloved mil !!) bc i feel like their dynamic, especially in a canon context, is a lot about . them idealising each other in a way . about loving each other bc of what they represent . regulus has james in a pedestal, he sees him as this beacon of good and kindness and he loves him because of that. always from a certain distance, knowing it's bound to end at some point bc he's rotten and he isn't allowed to taint something as perfect as james. not like he'd want to, anyway. and james !! he sees regulus as something beautiful but broken that he's meant to fix. he thinks that if he treats him well and loves him right, reg will change and will choose him exactly like sirius did. he thinks he can mold him in what james thinks is the best version of him, bring out the good he's sure hides somewhere deep inside of reg. ultimately, they're both wrong, and are basing their love in what's simply an ideal etc etc

for pandalily.. they're the amazons <3 powerful warrior women who rejected and rebelled against a men-dominated society <3

they're also very scylla and charybdis coded to me.. two terrifying monsters in the mediterranean sea.. ships being forced to navigate between the two creatures and it almost always ending in tragedy.. their relationship + love is very . monstruous and twisted, in the best way, because they embrace each other's ugly sides and encourage them. they love each other not in spite of them, but because of them. they love violently and intensely, and what might seem grotesque and dangerous and plain wrong from an outsider's perspective it just . works for them . they're happy in that chaos and destruction <3

i could also see them as alcyone and ceyx, mostly in the sense of being this arrogant couple who dares to compare themselves to the gods and ends up being punished for it, because i feel that's very accurate to the version of pandalily i have in my head. also alcyone killing herself after ceyx died, ready to follow him anywhere, even to the afterlife??? that's pandalily. they wouldn't be that . upset or devastated about it i don't think, but the point is that if one of them dies, the other is killing themselves right after, no questions asked

as for bartylily.. it can only be hades and persephone to me.. persephone being demeter's precious sweet daughter and hades being the king of the underworld, always an outsider even around the gods. her having so many suitors but hades being the most persisting one.. softening around her and being utterly fascinated by her freshness and her beauty.. resorting to kidnapping her bc he knew her mother would never approve of their union.. persephone eating from the pomegranate and ending up bound to the underworld.. her being the emobodiment of spring but also becoming the queen of the underworld.. idk i feel like the duality is very . lily . (or at least it's very my lily) and this being such a controversial myth, with so many ppl arguing about if persephone truly ended up falling for hades or if the time she spends down there with him is always against her will, if she was tricked into eating the pomegranate seeds by her husband or if she did so willingly, etc etc, it all fits bartylily incredibly well!! i'm also personally very fond of the story so that's always a bonus

In an effort to strengthen the relationship between the two kingdoms, the Nyx king and queen offered Scolia's hand in marriage to Briar Valley's general, Lilia. The royals had noticed the close relationship between the two and since Meleanor was already engaged to Raverne, it seemed like the most logical solution.

Scolia was always so close to Lilia, Raverne, and Meleanor, but she could see how much the trio cared for each other. She couldn't deny that she had feelings for friend, but she also couldn't delude herself when she knew that Lilia's eyes would never look at her the same way he looked at Meleanor and Raverne. It’s a banger, no doubt. It tickles my ears (in a good way) and makes me absolutely wanna bash out. But honestly, nothing against it, it’s just not for me, I still like it, it’s just not one of my tops.

8: Out For Love

This was one of the very few songs that in the official show that I couldn’t ever fully get into, it’s very good, but halfway through I end up moving to the next song on my playlist :’) I truly wanna love it, I’m just not there yet haha

7: My Machine

I know it must seem like I despise PARANOiD DJ’s music but I don’t! You just stunned me with two of his songs that I’ve only listened to once or twice XD Pentious is one of my fave characters, but tbh Cherri’s part blew me out of the water haha Not much to say cause my first time listening it to this one was like 10 minutes ago.

6: More Than Anything

Don’t get me wrong, I definitely jam out when this song comes on, but tbh I’m a bigger fan of more upbeat songs - especially in Hazbin, and I connect very deeply with this song due to being a massive Charlie kinnie XD and honestly it’s amazingly good, but it’s not at the top for me

5: Heaven 2 Hell

This was the song I would absolutely jam to in like 2022 during my prime-time Hazbin Hotel phase, but honestly, when I listen to it now it’s not my fave, it’s not bad by any means - it’s just my preferences have changed since the show came out

4: Insane

This song has a special place in my heart, but truth be told, I haven’t listened to it in a hot sec since the official show soundtrack came out. It’s chill, makes me wiggle, and this song definitely sparked my love for Alastor, but you gave me so many bangers so it dropped slightly :’)

3: Hell is Forever

Adam (and Lute) are some of my fave characters in the whole show and they nail this scene AND Alex Brightman does a killer job at this song! Imo it really emobodies Adam’s character and his morals, and not only that, it’s catchy as fuck! Also I love Charlie’s part in the beginning haha

2: Addict

This song holds a lot of sentimental value to me, as it’s the song that really got me immersed into this show. It was the song I’d listen to as an escape, and on top of that, Micheal Kovach and Chi-Chi nailed their parts and their voices are stunning together! Also not to mention no matter how long it’s been since I’ve last listened to the song, I can sing my heart out word for word, no mistakes

1: Poison

In the least biased way possible, I relate a lot to Angel Dust (so ofc both of his songs are at the top), and I know how it feels to be in a shitty situation with another person and for it to feel like you have no way out. Also on top of that, this is a fucking banger?! The switch between Angel Dust to Anthony in this song has never felt so real and painful. Blake Roman does an fantastic job with this number and he’s also one of my faves from the voice cast. (I know, I’m biased, sue me /hj)

I was thinking of all the Asmodeus i know shadowhunter Asmodeus does not embody lust he is more of an embodient of Wrath (since most of the princes of hell, Leviathan (envy), Belphegor (sloth), Mammon (Greed), Lucifer (Pride), Samael (Lust - since he technically is the only prince that probably loved/loves Lilith and is willing to work together to bring distruction for her), the only time my grey Asshole only emobides lust is (hinted that him and Lilith probably had a one night stand (on many occasaions). But if you look at his son (my precious baby) Magnus Bane he is more of an emobodiment of lust.

Now on to Obey me (not connected to the firdt part but still NSFW)

SO I was with a friend and we were talking about TV shows and such, and they go on about how Asmodeus would be a pimp or exploite sinners in a way that feeds his realm)

Now this got me thinking If hell/ devildom have some Human tv channels and hell channels that contain more dark and realism stuff and MC being like what the fuck..

And Satan is like (human shows are good but the demon remakes are much better) and MC finding channels that are filled with the utmost depraved lust kinda you can imagine and being scared into their brain -

They are practically immune to the horrors of hell

Okay, so we're talking about like potential Devildom remakes of human world TV shows? And that they're just completely messed up?? Because that sounds hilarious lol.

I like the idea that they broadcast both. So if you're a demon you could potentially watch the human world G-rated version of Spongebob then flip over to the demon version and it's all fire and brimstone.

Of course if we're talking about nsfw type stuff, I don't think that'd be too much of a stretch for some of these human world shows. Or if it was really violent... didn't they make a gay show about a guy that eats people? I've seen that on the dash a lot and it looks really bloody to me. I would think something like that would feed into the gluttony sin probably.

Personally I do okay with gore and sexy times in media, but when things get ghosty I start to freak out. Like the Sixth Sense scared the shit out of me because I was convinced I was going to start seeing dead people everywhere. Or that they were already there and I just couldn't see them which is worse. Also I was too young when I watched that so maybe that has something to do with it.

Anyway, I didn't mean to get off on a tangent here, but I like your idea of demon TV remakes.

I think I would get invested in the demon version of Days of Our Lives. They call it Nights of Our Lives lol.
