I don't want to be mean or anything, but if she dates Brandon, she definitely knows her family, how can she label herself as a feminist and a savior, and hang out with people like that?? that family is pretty shady, and brandon's dad is even worse, that's so weird lol
Private and public Emma are 2 different people. Emmione is the activist and Emma is the one who dates a Green and uses private jets lol

You know the biggest reason I love Ron? Because he always gets back up and never gives up no matter what. He always apologises and makes up for his mistakes despite having flaws. We never see that in the movies. Guess Steve Kloves still has the I.Q. of a potato because he was busy wanking his banana over Emmione Wanger.
How dare you insult potatoes this way!!

Let’s talk about live-action Disney films
The first one I like is Beauty and the Beast despite Emma screwing up Belle. How did she screw up Belle for me? Her acting was awful (she used little to no facial expressions and lacked emotion throughout the entire film), her singing required auto-tune because she cannot sing, and her over-the-top demands to make Belle fit her “Emmione” image were (and still are) embarrassing. Do not get me started on that underwhelming, cheap yellow dress! The way she acted during the press tour was terrible because of the things she said and did. I will not go into detail about all of that, because this post will turn into an essay if I did. I felt so bad for Dan Stevens! He didn’t deserve to suffer touring with that egoistic woman. I give the film a 6 out of 10. It would be a 7 if an unknown yet talented French actress who has experience with singing was Belle and the dress looked similar (not exact, but similar) to this.   The second one I enjoyed was the CGI-reimagining of The Lion King. Say what you want about the film, but you cannot deny how beautiful and on-point “Circle of Life” was. My literal facial expression was like this during the song: 😮😍. I enjoyed the film overall, and I love how accurate most everything was. There were no new characters, no new songs... it stayed fairly true to the original, so for that, I give it an 8 out of 10.
Now for the movies I disliked...
The first one is Maleficent. I haven’t seen many of Elle Fanning’s films, so I can’t really judge her acting, but I loved the idea of her as Aurora. Why did they make her use a British accent when she was born in France, though? That was stupid. The same thing goes for Beauty and the Beast. If Elle couldn’t pull off a French accent, then they should have had her use her own. Besides, Aurora’s voiceover actress was American and she used an American accent. Anyways, I would have rather seen Sleeping Beauty brought to life than a backstory film on the villain, which was basically Sleeping Beauty in Maleficent’s point of view. The storyline was weird and barely stood true to the 1959 animated film. I’m pretty sure it was Maleficent who got Aurora out of her deep sleep instead of Prince Phillip too. Like ... what the f*ck? The sequel was equally as pathetic. Maleficent throws a fit about two things: Prince Phillip proposing to 18-year old Aurora and Aurora no longer being under her care. #thismeanswar! Really dumb. These two films shouldn’t have been brought to life. I give both of them a 4 out of 10.   The second live-action Disney film I disliked was Aladdin. I actually did not mind Will Smith as Genie - he was the only good thing about that disaster! I felt the acting and line delivery was dull from most everyone (except Smith), and the script was awful. Everyone’s singing was decent but flat. Naomi’s singing was something else, though, and I mean that in a good way. That girl can SING. Giving Jasmine a friend was okay, but there was zero need to make the friend Genie’s love interest. The scene where everyone was dancing after “Prince Ali” made me cringe. Oh, and one last thing: Jafar did not turn into a snake, which is what I was looking forward to! Had I not gone with a friend, then I would have left during the dancing scene. I give this film a 5 out of 10.

When fucking game!Emmione has 100x more satisfying body language in the Ron&Hermione kiss than Emma does in the movie. OMG.
(I sometimes think about how different and probably way more satisfying the kiss would’ve looked if someone who isn’t Yates, had directed DH. Like can you imagine Alfonso Cuarón take on it?)

House Visit
You hear the clamor outside your door before Teddy even begins growling at it, a delayed reaction from your lusus that is more than a little unusual.
Her head swings towards the entrance, and you wipe your hands on your skirt before stepping around the kitchen counter to approach it, footsteps wary and cautious.
There’s a thud against the wood, not the rapping of knuckles, but a dull stomp that rattles the thing in its frame. Teddy’s lip pulls back into a snarl, and a wave of confusion and fear washes over you. You pat your pockets in search of your phone, wondering if you should call Sineha, when a voice sounds from outside.
“Ottana! I need some help out here!”
It’s unmistakable. Zahkin is here, just as you’d been dreading.
Why your ex-kismesis is kicking your door, you have no clue, but you’re hesitant to answer his plea. Instead, you stand in the center of your living room, fingers weaving together in an anxious braid.
“Ottana!” he calls out again, straining slightly. “Come out here, please!”
Despite your pounding heart, you move closer to the door, bolstered somewhat by the fact that your guardian makes no effort to stop you.
It doesn’t seem to be a trap, at least, given her complacency, but you can’t help wondering why it took her so long to react when Zahkin first showed up.
He knows of her abilities. Did he find a way to combat them somehow?
Cautiously, you let your legs carry you closer, all but holding your breath as you draw near enough to open the door. Faintly, you hear Zahkin grunt, his breath heavy enough to carry through the wood.
“Please!” He tries once more, and you do not stop your hand as it rises to turn the lock.
When you open the door, you feel as though the floor has fallen out from under you.
Zahkin is there, as you expected, his once ill-fitting suit replaced with a well-tailored fleet uniform. He looks different. Grown. But his appearance isn’t what first catches your notice.
There is a towering blueblood at his side, one arm slung across Zahkin’s shoulders in a manner that suggests his presence is all that keeps this troll standing. He holds his head low, hair hanging in a curtain around his face, and his breathing is ragged and labored.
Zahkin grits his teeth with the effort of supporting the larger troll, one hand gripping the man by the wrist while the other arm snakes itself around his waist.
Like Zahkin, the blueblood wears a fleet uniform, though his is far less pristine.
“Ottana, move!” The violet snaps.
You blink, the intensity of the command returning you to yourself. Without a question, you pull yourself out of the doorway, watching as your former kismesis drags the near-unconscious stranger into your home.
Teddy tenses when they enter, three beady eyes centered squarely on Zahkin. Shockingly, though, she does not attempt to threaten him, allowing the seadweller to approach the sofa without any manner of protest.
Rather unceremoniously, he contorts himself over the couch and lets the man slide from his grasp, dropping him to the cushions in a heap. Now, lying on his back with one leg hanging off the side, you finally see the blueblood’s face in full.
A mangled sound rises from your throat, something between a gasp and a yelp, and your hands shoot up to cover your mouth.
Zahkin, slumped against the wall and fighting to catch his breath, watches idly as you rush to the larger troll’s side, dropping to your knees and ghosting your hands over him as if unsure what part of him you are even permitted to touch.
“Emmion…” You choke, palms shaking as you fight the urge to take him by the face and run your fingers over the moles and scars that have always defined your former moirail’s skin. There are more of the latter than you remember. His eyes are fixed blankly ahead, awake but unseeing, and you finally give in to the desire to cup his face in your hands.
Emmion raises an arm to place his fingers over yours, and you turn a tearful gaze to Zahkin in desperate hope of answers.
“He had some kind of psychic blowout,” the violetblood explains, wiping the sweat from his brow. “Took his vision and left the other senses scrambled. There was an order to euthanize.”
Your head snaps back to Emmion, a fresh wave of tears rolling down your cheeks. You remember, from your youth, the doctor’s appointments you had followed him to, the warnings he’d received. It was unusual for someone of his caste to possess psionics of any kind, and his body wasn’t built to handle them. He’d been content not to use them, then. How naive you were to think the fleet would be, too.
“I manage these sort of cases,” Zahkin continues, answering a question you had not thought to ask. “Not the orders, but the paperwork. I saw his name on my desk and I…”
He gestures helplessly at Emmion, then tilts his head back and runs both hands down his face, a frustrated sigh falling from his lips.
“I fucked up, Tana. I broke so many laws.”
You look back at him, confusion lacing itself into your brow. Zahkin knew Emmion, of course, from the sweep their relationships with you had overlapped. But you never would have thought them close enough for this.
“Why?” You ask him, voice small.
“Cause I knew who he was.”

Is this one of the few times Emma was truly honest in an interview? (mostly)
This is an old interview from 2012. It's been a while since I read it, but only after reading it now do I realize how honest Emma really was here. I believe that we don't really know the real Emma. We know Emmione, the image she wants us to have of her.
She admits here how it was easier to be Emmione than to convince people otherwise and in the years after she really took the image to new heights. Read the full interview here.
We are seated on a velvet brown banquette at a corner table in a grand hotel in New York. Breakfast sits untouched as she stares at her face on the cover of Emma Watson: the Biography. She is dressed in a baggy jumper with her hair pulled back; her young-looking expressive face currently registers anguish. Previous interviews with Watson have portrayed her as a self-possessed, mature young woman who acknowledges her luck and gratitude in abundance. Perhaps, as she will later say, if I'd met her on a different morning, that side of her would have been present.
But there is another side. Someone who remains, despite her best efforts, emotionally overwhelmed by the vibrations of fame.
We had just begun to talk about the hazards of being a private person in a public world when, as a gesture to underline the absurdity of it all, I pulled out of my bag a copy of the unauthorised biography - a book that chronicles how it feels to be Watson, despite the fact she never met the author.
It hit a nerve. She has it in her to laugh it off, but this morning it has elicited a raw and unfiltered response. Tears fill her brown eyes, which remain unblinking and fixated on the cover image of herself. It stares back. She can't look away as she tries to make sense of it. "I read these pages and it has nothing to do with my real life, with who I am. It is a piece of fiction, but that's my face on the cover."
She is holding the book with both hands and turns suddenly defiant. "The first time I saw this book was when I was on the set in New Orleans," she states. "For The End of the World - a movie I just did. This super-cute 11- or 12-year-old girl came up to me and she had pages folded down and she had her special bookmark in it. It looked like she'd been carrying it around for a while. And she really wanted me to sign it. It's really weird that it's not just Hermione who has become someone important to people who love those books, but the idea of who Emma Watson is too."
That she refers to herself in the third person shows how removed she is from her public persona.
Indeed, she says it feels like she has three selves: Fictional Emma, Real Emma, and then the person she happens to be playing at the time. Since the age of nine, that person has been Hermione Granger.
Watson has been a famous person for 13 of her 22 years. Her tearful manner reveals she is not hardened to the realities of it. "I started off at the beginning of the [Harry Potter] series adamantly protecting my own sense of self and my identity as Emma," she says. The book has now been placed, cover down, in the space between us. "I was this nine-year-old who would be sat in these interviews going, 'No, I'm not anything like her, I'm different because of this and this and this - at nine." She sighs.
"People would say, 'You are really Hermione, aren't you?' and it went on and on till it got to a point where I said, fine. It's easier for me to say we're one person because that keeps everyone happy. I'll go with that."
The parallels were convenient to draw. Hermione and Watson were both hard-working, cerebral, academically driven students who aim high, get straight As, and are eager to please. But what separates Watson is that she's an emotional person. She has unresolved and conflicted feelings that surface occasionally, as they have on this morning. "Today is the first day of the craziness," she says, referring to the two weeks of non-stop publicity she has ahead, promoting her latest film, The Perks of Being a Wallflower. "I walk out of my apartment and there are paparazzi there. I'm flying to LA and then Toronto and then New York and back to London - it makes me emotional because it's intense."
Does she have the constitution to be a big movie star? "I've thought about that a lot," she says. "And no, I don't have the constitution to be a big movie star. Or a big celebrity." She pauses. "But I do have the constitution to be a good actress. Some of the stuff is really hard for me. But I really like my job when I'm doing my job. It's just there's this weird blur that's happened between being a celebrity and being an actress."
Okay, she was mostly honest in this interview. About her image at least, and I sympathize with her struggles growing up as a teenager, but I believe she truly enjoyed the fame that came with being an actress.
She looks exasperated. "I was interviewed at 13 or 14, and the journalist said, 'So that means you'd never have to work for money?' and I said yes. The quote was, 'I never have to work for money again,' and that quote has haunted me.
Nah, she was 18 when she said that. X
She shakes her head when I ask if she has any indulgences. "I don't have a need for a lot of money right now. I'm still renting my house. I'm travelling for film work: the studios usually put me up. I still stay at my parents' house. I have my one car - I didn't buy an expensive car because I'm a terrible driver. I'd trash it. So I pay for my phone and my laptop, and I bought a record player - I like records - nice little things like that, but I don't even feel like it [money] is there.
She forgot to mention the ski lodge she bought in 2008. X X
Her schedule is full. At the end of next year she'll begin Beauty and the Beast, and she's talking with the director, Guillermo del Toro, about whom he will cast as the Beast. The project came about when she was sent the script, and she chose del Toro as the director, a mark of her power, stature and taste.
That seems to be Emma's version of what happened. That WB had a script that they sent and that she went to Del Toro with it.
NYtimes 2012: And then I’m doing a film with Guillermo [del Toro] next summer, and I went to him and said Warner Brothers have given me the script for ‘Beauty and the Beast,’ but the only way I’d really want to do it is if you did it. And then miraculously he said, ‘Oh, funnily enough ‘Beauty and the Beast’ is my favorite fairy tale, I can’t let anyone else do this, I’ll start putting a team together.’
But it seems that Del Toro was the one who wrote the script.
From snitchseeker.com June 2012 (From Emma’s Q&A with fans), “Q1 - What’s happening with Beauty and the Beast? Emma: Guillermo del Toro, the director, has just finished editing his last film and is working on the script and pre-production for Beauty and the Beast.”
From Deadline June 2014: EXCLUSIVE: Guillermo del Toro has withdrawn as the director of Beauty, the live-action revisionist take on Beauty And The Beast that has Emma Watson attached to star. Warner Bros has started the process of finding a new director. Del Toro had other commitments, but he’s still firmly part of the movie. He wrote the script, and he’s producing the film with Denise DiNovi. Del Toro is directing the haunted house pic Crimson Peak.
We've discussed all this before of course, but I was bored so...

She has been in her 'i dont really care anymore' phase for the last few years imo. Like getting seen with someone with brandon green, openly traveling non stop during covid while claiming to be echo warrior and just barely posting about activism anymore. Now her colbert promo shot also feels more like the real her than she normally presents imo and could be a sign of her continuing to care less about her emmione image
Maybe. I don't really see the picture as provocative. She's done riskier stuff.

"Therre was my moirrail, Emmion... We starrted going togetherr when we werre five... We werre parrtnerrs for three sweeps.
I'd like to think we could have lasted longerr, had he not been conscrripted. My narrcolepsy prrevented me frrom following, though... I wouldn't have wanted to anyways.
It feels silly, missing him after so long, but he had always been my best frriend, even beforre we were going steady. But once he was in the fleet we sorrt of just... Fell out of touch."

"Seven to nine I had a kismesis, Zahkin. He challenged me to be morre confident and I challenged him to be less of a smarrmy asshole.
That ended... Less amicably. He was only getting worrse with time. Morre entitled, morre callous. Eventually I rrealized that he had stopped rrespecting me.
He saw me as lesserr. Hated that a lowblood could brring him to his knees, but that hate... It wasn't about me orr ourr rrivalrry. So I brroke it off. I wasn't going to stay in a rrelationship with a parrtnerr who trreated me like dirrt."

The whole thing with whining “I’m not like Hermione” is so irritating. She HAD A CHOICE not to pretend she’s like her but she eventually decided to do everything to be associated with that character. Book fairies, comparing Belle to Hermione, activism like Hermione. When she saw Emma was not as popular and admired like Hermione, she decided to create her Emmione image. Rumors like she wanted to play “adult roles”... when it didn’t work out, she knew she could stay in the spotlight a bit 1/2

We fell in love with Emmione image. The girl who reads a lot, wants to change the world for better, pretty, smart and caring. And now we see she is quite the opposite. Deliberately she has been lying to us for all those years! - Why would anyone actually believe this? It was always a fantasy. No one is this perfect. I'm sure she does have some of those characteristics to some extent, as indeed do many/most people. I just don't get why people put this much faith in actors or celebrities, or anyone for that matter?
I honestly blame fans who fell for this more than I blame her. She's just doing a sales pitch. If people fall for that sales pitch, that's their fault for being gullible, and for idolising people for anything beyond the body of work they present. Basically put less faith and trust in people and you'll be a lot happier.... (BTW, I always suspected a lot of people on these blogs were disgruntled former fans. You wouldn't care this much otherwise or would just find the whole thing bloody amusing, and bemusing, like I do)
