I like to imagine that Beldam is the only member of the X-Nauts who is transphobic towards Vivian. Marylin accepts that Vivian is trans, but doesn’t say much about it. Grodus originally tried to correct Beldam’s transphobia, but eventually gave up.

So far I’m up to Chapter 5 of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, and my top three favorite characters are Yoshi Kid, Grubba, and Vivian.
Spoilers below the cut
The Yoshi Kid (whom I’ve named Chizo) is adorable and hilarious. I had seen clips of him and always wondered why he calls Mario “Gonzales,” and now I know and it’s adorable.
Grubba is honestly one of the greatest twist villains I’ve ever seen. I originally thought Jolene was going to be the villain for Chapter 3. And even though his purpose for using the Crystal Star was terrible, I can’t help but love his character.
Vivian, my trans-fem queen. I love her so much. She’s so adorable and I would die for her. As a bullying victim who was bullied (albeit, indirectly) by authority figures when I was younger, I can relate to her a lot.
