Regis.

Ohh I can feel the pitchforks already, but hear me out. It's just an opinion: an unpopular one at that. I think CDPR got one scene with Regis that is so not him in book canon: participating in killing a ton of humans during the rescue of Rhenna. In the books (yeah yeah books isnt the same as game canon, but I did say it's an unpopular opinion), Regis steers clear of any conflict that might end faster if he had participated (like the Battle of the Bridge or he could've made fast work of the soldiers shooting at them while the hansa tried crossing the river). The only time he went crazy is when he did drain one of Vilgefortz lackey. So... there.

🧃 share some personal lore you never posted about before.

Personal lore of Emhyr that is very very plausible. Emhyr sleeps naked, and keeps in excellent shape for a 50+ year old dude. He is comfortable in his own skin and the fact that he's got no quills tearing the beddings is a constant assurance that the urcheon curse is truly gone, so he enjoys the feel of silk on his skin.

Also the fact that I enjoy requesting my friends for naked Emhyr sleeping is a bonus 😁😁😁(thank you @i-be-busy-witchering)

🍄 share a head canon for one of your favourite ships or pairings

Ciri/Morvran (Cirvran, Cirivran, Ciri x Morvran).

Ciri wears the pants in the relationship. Also, Morvran isn't as conniving as some make him out to be. Yes, he checks all the qualification for the heir presumptive but Morvran still feels that he cannot quite fill Emhyr's shoes, and is more comfortable being the reliable second banana right hand man to Emhyr or his true heir: Cirilla. Oh and Ciri is the true freak in the bedroom :D

I got a few questions but first:

I loved the new chapter of Flung to Catch a Star!! I’m glad all the new Witchers made it through. Geralt having a crush on Erland of Larvik is cute!! Secondly I’m enjoying how you keep us guessing about Emhyr’s thought process because he’s not a fool. It’s hard to tell if he’s thinks A, X, or Z thoughts. Also, I’m enjoying Cabir and Morvran! It’s fun seeing them learn from their time at Kaer Morhen.

So my questions are:

I was rereading With Tenderness and Nobleness, and I caught the brief mention of Erland and Arnaghad. I was wondering, were they romantic partners? I blame this on the fact when I read that line, I saw @irreconcilable differences” and not “irreconcilable philosophical differences”. I was curious so I had to ask. lol 😂

Secondly, if this isn’t spoilers for the last third of Flung to Catch a Stars, how much of a relationship do you see Ciri and Emhyr having?

I'm so glad you're enjoying Flung to Catch a Star! I'm having a lot of fun Baffling the poor boys.

I don't think I've defined on page whether Erland and Arnaghad were romantic partners. I've certainly read some very good fics with that premise. But they did split over irreconcilable philosophical differences over what the role of Witchers ought to be, and it was not a pretty split.

How much of a relationship to I see Ciri and Emhyr having...I think that's going to be explored later in the Progress fics, honestly. Though if Emhyr does something really boneheaded, the answer might just be "brief".

Emhyr var Emreis/Morvran Voorhis headcanons: 

It started out as a mostly fake relationship. Both of them had ulterior motives, and they both knew it. Everything was extremely calculated, extremely well planned, and then they screwed up and caught feelings for each other. 

Naturally though, it took months for them to both accept they’d caught feelings, and admit to it. 

Morvran has never actually admitted that he’s had a little bit of a crush on Emhyr for quite sometime, and he likely never will. Just like Emhyr has never admitted he’s long thought that Morvran is very beautiful. 

Emhyr has gotten pretty good at just tuning rumors he doesn’t care about out, and that’s what he did with most of the talk about him and Morvran. Morvran however, adores hearing the rumors, and how utterly ridiculous some of them are. Sometimes if he’s particularly bored, he makes some slightly odd, ambiguous statement about Emhyr and just sits back and watches people try to figure out what’s going on. 

Morvran enjoys attention more than Emhyr does. Granted, Emhyr doesn’t dislike being the center of attention, he’s more neutral towards it. It’s just another thing that comes with being emperor. Morvran however, loves it. 

At first, Morvran was really hesitant about doing casual or intimate things with and around Emhyr, just because it’s strange to all of a sudden go from “Your Majesty” and being threatened if you try to touch a man, to “Emhyr” and terms of endearment, and being allowed to sit on his lap if you want. 

Which Morvran does capitalize on now, constantly. He’s very fond of sitting in Emhyr’s lap. His favorite evenings are the ones where he dozes off curled up against Emhyr’s chest. Both of them enjoy this sort of peace and intimacy more than they’d ever be willing to admit. 

Both of them are extremely good at masking their feelings, and they’re also extremely good at seeing through each other’s bullshit. 

Morvran was actually pretty nervous the first time he attended an event with Emhyr. But, everything went well regardless. He’d been afraid he’d step on Emhyr’s toes or something while they danced.

Yes, I remember the exact moment. It was in Iorveth’s path in the witcher 2, when you visit Kaedweni camp and Roche saves Geralt. 

2. Have you ever read a fanfic about 2?

Yes. It was what introduced me to this ship and it was one of the best fanfics I have ever read. (I’m not sure if I can say the name here so I won’t. Feel free to ask me for recommendation tho)

Nope

4. If 7 were to suddenly break up today, what would your reaction be?

Well, I think they had already kind of broken up in The Witcher 1 so in my personal “headcanon” everything that involves them after it is bittersweet.

5. Why is 1 so important?

They like and accept themselves despite their pasts, yet they don’t have redemption arcs. Also I feel like this ship offers them peace after what they had to live through. 

6. Is 9 a funny ship or a serious ship?

I take this ship seriously, but when you overlook some unfortunate events they have potential to be kinda the comedic duo

7. Out of all the ships listed, which ship has the most chemistry?

Roche x Iorveth in my opinion.

8. Out of all your ships listed, which ship has the strongest bond?

I think... Iorveth x Cedric. They have common past and the feelings and longing stayed even after Cedrik left scoia'tael.

9. How many times have your read/watched 10’s fandom

I wish I could read more fanfics. Sadly there isn’t much content about these lovely elves.

10. Which ship has lasted the longest?

I had a hard time choosing this answer. Éibhear x Elihal I think.

11. How many times, if ever, has 6 broken up?

I wouldn’t say they had broken up. But they definitely had some downs and perhaps pauses.

12. If the world was suddenly thrust into a zombie apocalypse, which ship would make it out alive, 2 or 8?

Oh wow neither. If I have to choose, well... Both Emhyr and Morvran don’t really seem like fighters to me but they are scheming and have plans . Dandelion and Priscilla aren’t much of a fighter as well but someone always saves Dandelion and they have luck. I can’t decide. 

13. Did 7 ever have to hide their relationship for any reason?

Siegfried has to hide it because of his wows and beliefs.

14. Is 4 still together?

Well they aren’t exactly confirmed canon so they have probably never been together, but even if they were, they parted ways.

15. Is 10 canon?

No. It could be tho

16. If all 10 ships were put into a couple’s Hunger Games, which couple would win?

Lambert x Aiden. Just cause they are both witchers and there isn’t anyone too OP. But some other ships would definitely put up a good fight.
