For the wip ask game, I'm very intrigued by the emergency contact au! Is it gonna be tense? Is it gonna have.. emergencies?? 👀👀👀

Hi, it took me a while to reply to this because I wanted to round up all the other posts I made about this au and, as we all know, Tumblr's search function might as well not exist.

But I did it! I talked about it here, here, here and here.

The reason there are so many posts about it is because I started writing it shortly after the c2 finale and it's been a wip since then. Sometimes I think about it, add a sentence or two, refine a plot point. It's basically my comfort au. I have rewritten the first chapters at least twice. I don't think I'll ever finish it, or at least not soon, but it's very much in progress by the strictest definition of the word.

(The reason it's called emergency contact au, in short: Caleb and Essek used to be married and Essek is still Caleb's emergency contact. It was a vibe-only au that became a plot-heavy one while I was writing it, but the brainworms sprouted from their canon 'break-up'; I don't consider it a fix-it fic even though they absolutely get back together.)

I accidentally misread the sentence about obi-wan not expecting to get knighted immediately after beating qui-gon as “qui-gon actually cut off obi-wan’s braid after he beat him in a spar and went ‘well this 17 year old can handle himself’” and just. god thinking about how foolproof foolhardy anakin would handle that scenario,,, wild

just master qui-gon idk accidentally severing obi-wan's braid during a rough spar and obi-wan wins it anyway and qui-gon's just like 'congrats bro you've been knighted what do you want to do to celebrate'

imagine it's even babier obi-wan, who is like 14, and qui-gon is absolutely just joking haha of course obi-wan wouldn't be knighted yet he's a BABY he'll just have to grow a new braid

but you know obi-wan is scared stiff and baby-crying that omg he really has been Knighted, he's only had a master for a few months and now he's being Knighted he doesn't know Anything

in this scenario, does he run to master anakin or does master anakin find him??

mostly i can just imagine anakin holding a baby obi-wan who is all tuckered out and asleep after crying, and master skywalker whisper shouting at master jinn no jokes!!!! no jokes allowed!!! he takes them seriously!!!!!!!

I’m on this mafia type au where Zam tries to leave Leviathan, an extremely efficient group of hitmen. More of a modern night city type of vibe.

it got too long and I abandoned a bunch of details.

——Written like a story——

Zam was an original member of Leviathan, he joined the same time Terrain did. They were both in charge of managing new members & holding down the headquarters in certain cities.

Due to the pressure and gaining more and more responsibilities Zam wanted to leave. He knew it wasn’t going to be taken well since he will be the first original member to leave. When leaving he formally says it to Roshambo, the co-owner of Leviathan that he is leaving next week. Giving him time to hand over the responsibilities so everything doesn’t crash and burn.

After leaving though Zam does get harassed heavily by Mapicc, he was not personally informed and learned of Zams leave through the letter sitting on Ro’s desk. Mapicc is the other co-owner of Leviathan and is taking the news badly that his main guy who cleans up the messy crime scenes has decided to leave.

The harassment keeps going for over a couple of weeks, which gets out of hand where whenever Mapicc sees Zam instead of ignoring him, he tries to hurt him in any way possible. Whether that’s tripping him, rolling a cart his way, elbowing him or straight up throwing a knife at him.

No other Leviathan member is able to stop this. Roshambo is too busy trying to regulate to members to make up for the loss. New members arrive but as they are still relatively new it slowly drives Mapicc up the wall, to where Spoke, an original member, has to take over to show them the ropes.

With Leviathan getting busy and Zam getting extremely paranoid within his own home that he might actually get murdered, he takes his chance to successfully move 2 cities over without a trace

Mapicc does try to find him but isn’t able to due to him not moving to any city that was under their control and through disappointment Ro finally gets Mapicc to stop.

Zam has one of the worst times in the 2 years following, specifically interacting with Eclipse, a group of individuals who claimed to be a book club. He found new people to hang out with but it felt off with how the members were acting.

He finds out they lied to him about only being a book club and once again he’s back in the mafia buisness. Zam feels dumb for not seeing any of the signs through his desperation to move on that he immediately tries to leave when learning about it. Although Vitalasy, one of the founding members of Eclipse, who Zam tried to explain to why he was leaving, didn’t take it well and forced him to stay.

Bad things happened the next 2 months and Zam was essentially working on Eclipse now. With way less responsibilities, he slowly gets accustomed to it. Though he wishes he wasn’t being watched by Vitalasy 24/7

On an extremely bad night, Zam screwed up a job and the results were sour. Vitalasy hadn’t picked up Zams calls to get him out of there and Zam was left in a severe condition wandering around the back alley ways. A passerby finds him collapsed and drops him off to the nearest hospital.

At this point Zams condition isn’t getting any better and the hospital had to call someone he knows to inform him of his condition. The issue is Zam forgot he had put Mapicc down as one of his emergency contacts and didn’t bother changing it after he left since he would “no longer” be in any danger.

So when the time came, Mapicc got an absurd call. Mapicc genuinely didn’t believe any of it but when hearing Zams full name, essentially hearing Zams body was broken with no explanation behind it other than him being “dropped off” it left a bitter taste on his tongue.

Still skeptical, Mapicc decided to check it out without informing anyone since he was already close enough to the city cause of his current “job”

——Bonus——

Mapiccs worst fears have come true, everything was the truth. Now he’s signing papers at the hospital and is responsible for taking Zam home. Mapicc does not have the time for this, he can’t even be angry at Zam seeing as Zam still had some trust in him.

Though Mapicc has to report back for his mission so instead of taking Zam from the hospital to Zams home, he just takes him back with him to the main Leviathan HQ where Roshambo is extremely concerned about how he found Zam in the first place.

Spoke is questioning how the hell Mapicc carried an unconscious person over 2 cities while rummaging through Zams belongings. While Mapiccs explaining it all to Ro, Spoke finds a crescent moon bracelet. Big issue, a crescent moon is the symbol of the Eclipse Federation, a much smaller mafia group that hasn’t been competing with them in a while but still holds its weight.

Spoke immediately snags it so no else sees, excuses himself and immediately calls up Vitalasy, who had just broke into Zams home in a panic. Spoke argues with Vitalasy a little too loudly and by the time he ends the call, the door is wide open with Terrain, Mapicc & Ro staring at him.

Terrain calls Zam a traitor but due to Zams condition and Mapicc being the one called to the hospital and not Vitalasy, everyone starts to think something deeper is wrong.

Ro makes them wait until Zam wakes up and explains himself, though that might take a while since Zam isn’t waking up. Zam does not wake up for days and everything they have found out isn’t adding up.

From Zam leaving Leviathan to stop participating in crime only for him to end up in Eclipse Federation doing more hands on jobs which he hates? It wasn’t making any sense that they call Vitalasy again. Vitalasy says Zam willingly asked to join him and said he would be taking Zam back from them to which no one believed.

Days later, Zam finally wakes up and through the pain killers being a little loopy he asks where Subz is.

Subz. An ex member of Eclipse Federation that went into hiding years ago leaving Vitalasy to take over. Zam was asking where he was and absolutely no one had an answer for it, not even Vitalasy who was on the phone.

Vitalasy was quite eager to ask Zam questions about how he even knew of Subz’s existence. Vitalasy’s slight interest rubbed Leviathan the wrong way, making Mapicc promptly end the call.

It’s quiet and during the silence Zam asks if he could call Subz, which Spoke gives the phone to him quite intrigued on seeing if Subz would answer Zams call. The phone starts to ring and as everyone is eagerly waiting, it goes through.

An extremely tired voice comes through which Zam happily says hi to. Subz is not surprised, Zam happened to call him at weird time and now he had doxxed his number to leviathan of all people when he saw who’s phone he was calling him from.

Subz apparently was an old time friend of Zams who always gets calls like this when Zams not thinking straight. Subz ends up giving his thoughts on what happened that Zam was probably forced into Eclipse fed knowing Vitalasy. Zam mindlessly confirms Subz’s statement which makes future Zam very upset.

Now for Zams safety, not knowing what Vitalasy could do, he is stuck with Leviathan until the foreseeable future. Subz also comes by to visit Zam in his emotional wreck of a state dealing with ex teammates and not knowing what to say to them after cutting contact.

"Everything is Fine and (almost) Nothing Hurt" Assault on Arkham AU were the team actually bonds and because of that Harley doesn't betray them to join Joker, also Riddler figure out the King Shark problem and he is fine. The only sad part is that Black Spider still dies, there is no way his story could have been different (unless he defeated Batman, but then Joker's bomb would just kill everyone).

Now they hang out in a shaddy bar on wendnesdays to gossip about life. Harley starts to date Ivvy and is a bit aprehensive to present her new gf for her friends because everyone thinks Boomerang is homophobic (and because her and exclusivily her sees Deadshot as an ex).

Cue to Boomerang trying to prove he isn't homophobic while everyone else is just "you lit called Riddler a slur dude" and end up with them deciding Harkness just hates autistic people. George tries to defend himself but at this point Harley is trying to call Riddler to ask how he felt over being discriminated so he just gives up.

At least now Harley is confidend over coming out as bi and bringing Ivvy to meet the group.

kkuma stares blankly at you, sitting pretty. you slap your hands on your knees with an exaggerated grin decorating your face.

you repeat, enunciating each word, “where is your toy?”

she pants with a smile—the crooked pink bow clip melts your heart bit by bit. she stands up and spins in a circle, searching for something; the clopping of her nails against the hard-wooded floor reminds you that she needs her nails clipped, and your boyfriend will no doubt get her groomed for that to be completed.

the fluffy small cloud faces you, tongue out and involved in her desperate recovery mission. she moves her head to the right then the left; you can’t help but huff air with a smile, observing her cute yet calculated movements. her smile fades as she sniffs lightly. there is one more attempt to push kkuma over the edge.

“where is your baby?” you reiterate.

like a sleeper agent, something inside of her awakens. her head moves back to the right, regaining that same grin she trots into the hallway out of your sight.

you stand up, kneecaps cracking from being on the floor for some time; you keep your gaze locked from where she last left your sight, anticipating little patters to get louder.

soon enough, kkuma emerges from that hallway with a plush hello kitty doll, bigger than her own body, being dragged across the floor; if only it was real you could imagine the doll’s face painted with agony of living another day of torment while being lifelessly lugged.

you smirk and clap your fingertips together, creating little yet audible sound. “there she is! do you have your baby?” you babble.

in response, kkuma shakes her head and therefore her body and therefore the doll. you nod your head in respect and walk to the kitchen. kkuma continues her tirade and saunters over to the living room, plopping herself right in front of the couch with baby in hand.

after the sun has been set for some time, the front door creaks open. soft yet heavy footfalls patter against the floor.

from your spot laying on the couch, you glance towards the noise in the dark, only your phone and tv providing light. you sit there and listen: you hear deep breaths and rustling of fabric before something collides with the floor. a defeated grunt comes from the entrance still: you chuckle quietly and turn your phone off, turning onto your stomach to lay on.

you click your flashlight on. the perpetrator standing there being your boyfriend, seungcheol. his eyes widen yet dim quickly when he made contact with the light. he covers his eyes with his hand and sets down the rest of his stuff. you turn off your flash and get up to immediately flick on the living room lights. you stroll to him with a not-so hidden grin.

he takes one glance at your expression before huffing, “you heard me struggling yet here you are taking a photo of me like i’m a cryptid.” your grin hurts your cheeks at this point; he gives one of his own as he watches you.

“you try so hard to be quiet when you come in, it’s hard not to see you as one.” you counter.

his eyebrows raise and grin deflates. “well you should be in bed right now. i swear you don’t have to wait up for me, i’ll be fine.” you both hear little paws barrel towards you. seungcheol’s dimples return once again as he squats, palms open.

“cause this little girl will always be there to greet me.”

you playfully scoff, leaning on the wall, observing the interaction. “yeah because she knows she will get a treat.” kkuma licks his fingers as he scratches underneath her chin.

you squat down yourself and her attention was instantly caught. you gently unclip the bow from the top of her head and smother it in your/his pant pocket.

as you give her your own soft head pats and aggressive spouts of rubs, seungcheol gaze is stuck on your face, basking in the intimate moment he secretly waits for after every day of intense idol-life.

he would never say it, but he appreciates how you wait; he doesn’t understand how you are able to keep waiting after all this time—for him. he glances at the floor, he shouldn't keep you waiting, should he?

kkuma’s rhythm of her happy dance kept him in a trance, but for some reason it stopped? seungcheol blinks and doesn’t see his little girl in front of him. he glances up at you for some clarification as you shuffle his things around, grabbing his workout clothes to put in the washer.

seungcheol blinks again. where did one of his princesses go? every time he arrives home, she follows him wherever he goes. is his little girl growing up?

he mindlessly follows you and stutters with a pout, “w-where did kkuma go?”

you flip open the washer lid. “she’s grabbing her baby.”

seungcheol’s inner demons were confirmed. “her baby?”

you hum in confirmation.

he sadly flicks his eyes to the door to the rest of the apartment. as you shut the lid down and press the appropriate buttons, you feel his fingers weaving into yours; slowly, he drapes his body weight onto you, head searching for his crook. you smile and pat his head.

you both hear little paws barrel toward you both. entering the door frame is little kkuma with her big baby hello kitty doll.

seungcheol’s head lifts up from your body.

kkuma gives him a little shake, showing him and her baby dominance.

he makes eye contact with you. “your childhood pillow?”

you correct him, enunciating your words, “her baby.” his arms sneak around your waist, eyes never leaving the white dog.

he repeats after you, “her baby.”

you hum and nod, pecking his cheek before sauntering out of the room. seungcheol bites his lip, smile breaking through, and skips after you. his arms return to hug your waist as he leans both your bodies sideways with a kiss—soon followed by an onslaught of fleeting smooches.

you blush. “cmon you big baby lets go to bed. you have an upcoming comeback and tour that doesn’t need you to fall ill again. i don’t need you to do that.”

he hums and sways your bodies, widely walking both of your feet in that direction like penguins.

he only hummed, not saying anything. you look at him for any other confirmation. he only beholds your eyes that swallow the rest of the world.

he knocks his head playfully with yours. “my baby.”
