It’s been a while since I posted anything so here I am with another pokemon piece! I made this for a digital fanzine about magikarp called Splash! You can download the zine from the zine and check out all the amazing work!

I think this was my favorite piece to work on as of now and I’m pretty sure it has everything to do with the teeny tiny french knots. There’s just something soothing about making so many knots that it was such a fun time and really make me long to work on another with just as much if not more knots.

I think I also really enjoyed that it had a bit of an organic shaped edge rather than working it all the way to the end of the hoop or having with straight borders. It’s definitely something I need to explore more in the future but for some off reason always escapes me.

This hoop has already been sold.

Who doesn't love beta pokemon? I especially love Kotora.

I finished these last weekend, just put the finishing touches on the embroidery. I'm so rusty, I haven't done embroidery in centuries! The pompom was pretty easy though, this little one will be sitting in a mini berry basket on my desk.

Finally finished my embroidery of Jumpluff, normal and shiny! I learned a new stitch just to make their puffs super fluffy and touchable in person, and I'm really happy with how they've turned out and how much I've learned!

I finally finished my buni doll! he's taller than my arm and pretty hefty. it was my first time embroidering, wire armateuring, using this specific pattern making process, etc.... so I think he turned out better than I ever expected lol!

he's mostly posable tho the wire I had access to isn't strong enough to combat the minky. live and learn 🤷‍♂️

Some Embroideries I've done since I quit my job!

The first is a re-creation of an earlier attempt from 2009 (the second image) from a Cosplay from Babylon 5.

and the final one is a K-Mart kit of a Galah that I threw out the instructions for and did my own thing on.
