Shoutout to the mysterious and unexplained emblems for Porter and Kilowatt that appear at the start of every race alongside the emblems of every character who actually does race

There's no reason given for it, and it leaves Wrench as the only character (aside from the marshals) without a race emblem, it's all just. Really weird. My best guess is it's either for symmetry on the projection or perhaps a leftover from very early on where maybe Porter and Kilowatt were selected to be race partners, but later dropped?
