I recently reread the scene after "the prank" in The Prince's Tale because of the recent discussions about Lily and Severus’s friendship, and wow Lily really comes off like a selfish teenager in this conversation...

At first they talk about mucliber and mary,then Sev mentions Jamse and other marauders,and Lily accuses him of being obsessed 😬 and says:

“And you're being really ungrateful. I heard what happened the other night. You went sneaking down that tunnel by the Whomping Willow, and James Potter saved you from whatever's down there - ”

The way she talks about it makes it seem like they hadn’t spoken about it before (I don’t know if it’s JKR’s weird dialogue or what, but the only way I can read this is that it’s the first time Lily brings it up)

So Lily heard that Severus almost died and that James saved him  but instead of asking Sev what happened or comforting him, the first thing she does is scold him for the kind of people he’s hanging out with? Like, what?! Her best friend almost died and she doesn’t care bc she only brings it up to dismiss Sev’s feelings! GIRL read the room! It’s okay to be worried about Sev’s supposed friends, but come on, ask him about the incident first! He almost died! What are you doing Lily?! Omg this girl is so self-centered I can't. Is this a teenager thing? Bc i don't remeber that having zero emathy was normal...

Let’s not forget that the incident from The Prank happens chronologically before SWM). So, before Severus ever said anything to her, Lily was already showing a pretty problematic lack of empathy and a kind of narcissism in that relationship. I mean, she talks about how “James Potter saved his life,” but in reality, James didn’t save him, he just didn’t let him die, which is not the same thing. And he didn’t stop it for Severus’s sake, but probably for Remus’s and Sirius’s, to avoid the consequences it would have had for both of them. Of course, Lily doesn’t know that, but even so, the fact that she clearly doesn’t give a damn about her friend’s mental and emotional state, that she gaslights him about his own experiences, and even tells him he should be grateful to someone who’s been torturing him for years, shows a terrible lack of empathy and sensitivity. I just can’t feel any sympathy for someone who treats her friends so repulsively. It’s scenes like that that make me feel like calling her a Mudblood wasn’t just justified, it makes me think she honestly deserved a couple of slaps to the face.

andy went to prison later on but he did not do it for robert. took him years to own up for what he did to sarah as he was happily let jack cover it up and lied to robert about it. robert feelings re sarah never mattered and it show when robert yelled andy killed mum and stood gawping like he couldn;t understand robert pain, but was banging on about katie in same breathe so he cares more about katie dying then Sarah, the woman who took him in, no one will ever make me like andy. he entitled brat who replaced robert and never had any empathy for him but demnded robert pay etc when did something wrong whilst he expected special treatment/free passes and never showed any emathy that robert lost his mum, or how jack replaced him just tried always gaslight robert and people that robert was just a petty, jealous, brat when it run deeper, trauma losing his mum, emotional abuse and neglect by jack (and andy)

He might not of done it for Robert, but he still owned up to it and went to prison and that would have brought down confort knowing he finally paid for what he’d done. I’m not defending what he did, but he didn’t mean to kill her and he’s had to live with that all his life. But Andy isn’t just the only bad guy, his feelings having mattered to most people it’s not just Andy people have always treated him like that and still do now.

Any thoughts/details about the relationship between the nations?

Aight so. I think things are largely peaceful but there's some strain between some of the nations

Zaffire more or less doesn't interact with any nations outside of Ahmrald and Emathis, primarily because of isolation due to the mountains. Any trade is done with Ahmrald as proxy.

Emathis is close with Lazule and Zaffire, but dislikes Prysym due to fears of the Draconis- their magic became a focus of their culture to ward the Draconis off. This fear is unfounded. They think of the Karnielians and brutes.

The Vesper (Bat Shifters) of Zaffire and Emathis are also rather isolationist, primarily living in the Cortz Mountains. This is mostly due to superstition and prejudice towards them from Zaffirans and Emathisti, but they have good relationships with other Shifting races.

Ahmrald is amiable to just about everyone except Lazule due to land disputes, but they are close with Tohpass- that is, until the queen's nephew, Virgil, did a coup and began making the country very militaristic.

Lazule is friendly with Emathis and Prysym due to the both of them being trade partners. Lazule is, however, not very friendly with Ahmrald, as mentioned before, and Karniel, due to a rivalry between two previous monarchs that was never resolved.

The Lutra (Otter Shifters) of Lazule are exceptionally laid back and friendly, especially with the humans of Lazule and Emathis, and the Draconis of Prysym.

Due to how large Karniel is, it's monarchs are rarely able to interact face to face with others- there's also a very large bandit problem there that makes traveling difficult. They're close with their neighbors to the east, Jhaspar and Tohpass.

Jhaspar is ruled by the Pholi (Pangolin shifters) and has a good relationship with Karniel and Tohpass, but largely ignores other nations. There is a large population of Shifters from other nations here, as well as humans.

Tohpass is ruled by the Taurus (Bull shifters). They have positive relationships with Karniel, Ahmrald, and Jhaspar, but were at war with Sanstin until recently. Their culture is gladiatorial (much like Regna Ferox from Awakening) and as such, their relationships depend on who's in charge.

Prysym is ruled by the Draconis (Dragon shifters). They have good relationships with every other shifter and Lazule but keep to themselves otherwise- the monarch and elders are afraid of their own power for reasons unknowns. Young Draconis, however, tend to travel a bit more- like their prince, Cyrus, who hasn't been seen in 2 centuries.

Like I do undertsand where peple that are like: ‘Autistic people have empathy! Saying we don’t makes us seem like monsters! Thats not a symptom!’

Becasue as others above alreday stated, someone having no/low empthaie is a lot of teh time used to justefy that it's O.K. to treat them bad

(wouldn't that make the person who treats the low/no empathie perosn bad also have no empathie? ... different diskussion ... )

And assuming/saying that people on the spectrum are "empty" are "less" are "not really human" ... is already a wide spread assumption that peopel use as an excuse to treat people on teh spectrum as garbage ...

A) What is so great about empathe?

Like, what is really usefull if I am sad or hurt or morning?

Is it usefull if there is someone who feeels exactly the smae as I do, who sits with me and cries?

Or is it more usefull if that person doesn't feel what I feel and thereby still can function, still can finish cooking dinner, remember that there is laundry in teh washing mashine, pick up the kids, walk teh dog, pay that invoice ... and geneally take care of the things I CAN NOT HANDLE RIGHT NOW and that don't care becausse lief doesn't stop fro me and my feelings ...

Like those things have to be done ... and i can't ... and if you can becasue you dodn't feel what I feel that is actually pretty great ...

Don't know about you, but I prefer people with low emathy ...

Also, I sometimes have insane levels of empathy, which. leads to things like ... me wasting several lessons with my french tutor becasue she had a broken arm and all I could feel was how paifull that is ... which is bad if I should be consentrating on french grammar ... and like ... she didn't exacly teach me fro free ... so my parenst payed her money for me to sit there and just be in pain and retain fuck all ... how is that usefull?

The part of your brain that feels empathy ALSO feels pain and ALSO anticipates pain

SO, if you are already in pain (e.g. sensory overload) or if you are anticipating beeing in pain (sitaution where experience tells oyu that people will trea you like garbage -> pain), your empathy will be low or non existant

That is true broth for people ON and OFF the spectrum

It's only that people on teh spectrum are more often in a situation where beeing in pain/anticipating pain is kind a the default stae ... like it is something that is just kind a happening in teh background ...

SO the level of empthy ANY indevidual person shows is different depending on their pain level

There was a subreddit I really liked, people were chill, and then there was a sudden influx of people making posts like ‘Autistic people have empathy! Saying we don’t makes us seem like monsters! The year jas just began and Jameson aged up into a preteen along with his sisters Paulina and Leanna which aged up into children. Jameson quickly fell in love with music after finding a violin out of the garbage. He starts to dream of showing everyone around him him playing.

With no money to feed her children, she went to her good friend Gemma to rant about it. Gemma wanting to help her friend she told Alice about the Wishing Well along with the warnings that came from using the well. To get your wish to come true you will have to do something in return. But Alice was willing to do anything to make sure that her remaining children had money so that they wouldn't have to suffer the way that she had growing up. So Alice went to the well and wished for money but the well would not give it to her without an exchange. Which was for her to create an enemy with the hatred that the person would have for her it would charge the well with enough power to give her what she truly desires. Alice already having the motive decided to get her one-sided hate for the queen to become actual enemies.

On other events Nicolett has started to feel great emathy for the animals in the farm since nobody takes care of them with Jameson always off with his violin practicing and Alice creating Jewlery. She has started to take care of the farm managing the animals to still have produce even though it is not a lot of income from it she wants to help as much as she can.

In the beginning of this year Juliana gave birth to two beautiful children 1 boy Bryson and 1 girl named Amara. The birth went very smoothly and there were no issues in the duration of the pregnancy. In the end of this year, Juliana has fallen pregnant yet again wanting to have a big happy family like the one that she grew up in.
