McLaren Elva – $1.7M
The McLaren Elva is a car in the company’s line that lives up to the luxury history of the brand. Of course, you’ll need at least $1.7 million to cover the starting price.
Tumblr media
The car isn’t anything to scoff at, either. It has a shocking 800 horsepower and runs on a 4..0-liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine. You’ll want a garage to keep it in, though, as it doesn’t have a roof or windshield.

McLaren Sabre (1 of 15).
The almost otherworldly McLaren Sabre launched in late 2020 as the most powerful non-hybrid road car produced by the engineering wizards at McLaren to date. One of just 15 produced, yet in fact a truly individual creation built precisely to the specifications of its original owner, this 2020 McLaren Sabre was, and remains, a true “instant icon” that will likely never be duplicated. Not only is it the ultimate McLaren road car, it also quite likely represents the most direct application of race-winning technologies and engineering prowess ever applied to the road, with amazingly purposeful styling and surprising luxury to boot.Based on the foundation of the stunningly fast, track-focused Senna before it, the Sabre takes the hypercar concept to new extremes with its twin-turbocharged 4.0L V-8 powerplant factory-rated at 824 HP—165 more than the Senna and 20 more than even the Elva roadster. However, despite its massive power output, the Sabre is primarily a road car with obvious track capabilities and a somewhat more compliant, road-worthy ride, yet with no performance compromises. In fact, the Sabre holds the distinction of being capable of 218 MPH flat out, one MPH faster than the Senna. The Sabre’s dramatic body design perfectly matches its lethal, cavalry sword-inspired name, with the stunning new McLaren featuring upright, blade-type front and rear fender extensions, fully skirted doors and rockers, and an upward-sweeping side treatment terminated by upright LED tail lights, a full-width rear wing, and rear air diffusers. Sharing its essential carbon fiber monocage chassis structure with the Senna, the Sabre also features the company’s signature, upward-swinging doors and clamshell-type front and rear hatches evocative of Le Mans-worthy endurance racers. The Sabre’s electrifying carbon fiber body is handsomely finished in Liquid Argentum paint, accented by Gloss VCF and Liquid Papaya pinstripes plus interwoven visual carbon fiber graphics to the lower bodyside blades. The driver-focused, yet deceptively luxurious interior of the Sabre is a visual treat with a Volcano Orange driver’s seat and Carbon Black passenger seat, accented by Liquid Papaya contrast pinstripes to the seat shells and contrasting McLaren MSO logos embroidered on the headrests. Visual satin carbon fiber interior accents are handsomely complemented by brushed Azores air vent bezels, steering wheel shift paddles and the central touch-screen screen bezel, down to the door struts and release actuators. Volcano Orange brake calipers proudly carry the Black McLaren marque logo and reside behind stunning, diamond-milled, 7-spoke wheels finished in Gloss Black and fitted with Liquid Argentum center-lock nuts.

Mclaren Elva in the Scottish snowy hills. Post - 03
I reduced the lens flare effect in post processing. . I added the HDRI to sky light (approaching_storm) . I rotated the HDR until I felt it made the car look better. Then it was time to go back to the background hills. I downloaded some large terrains from MegaScan, and I placed them in the scene. Then I moved them until I felt they looked good in the scene. Once work on the terrain was complete I started to work on the clouds and fog. I started to tweak the values of Volumetric cloud changed the layer bottom altitude and layer height until the point it looked right to me. Next was Exponential height fog where I changed the setting of fog density, fog height falloff, fog max opacity, made very small tweaks to these. I did some things to this scene to make it better. I rotated the front wheel of my car around 10 degrees and added road marks. It now looks complete.

4th set of background hills.

However there is still more work to be done on the lighting, background hills and also the car paint material.
After some more tweaking to the background. Below is the result.

Next up material and lighting.
For material i decided to download the car paint material.

Below is the final result after tweaking material and lighting.

Upon showing my project to an industry professional whose name I prefer not to disclose, I realized that there were some areas that required attention to enhance its overall quality. The suggested improvements were as follows:
Adjust the camera's focal length.
Address issues with the wheels, calipers, and disc.
Provide more space for the car to breathe in the environment and consider the framing of the image. A longer lens could be used, and reference material should be consulted.
Eliminate the rocks from the scene, extend the gravel, and use lighting during the golden hour to improve reflections and contrast.
Reduce the number of lights.
Darken the AO shadow towards the wheels where light is lacking.
After implementing these changes, I added a touch of chromatic aberration and film grain to achieve a more realistic appearance. It is important to note that the final result was rendered using Lumen in Unreal 5.2 preview version, which has shown significant advancements in its development.
