Artha Elizabeth Marston, born 1901. Nicknamed Beth, she was conceived by accident at a time when no children should be born. Her first 6 years of life were defined by instability and constant trouble that her father could not help but find.

At 10 years old, Beth is wild and short-tempered. It's a rarity to see her with shoes, clean clothes, and neat hair all at once. Loves to run, jump, and climb everything in her vicinity; "You must have bones of iron because it's a damn miracle you haven't broken one," her mother says.

Talkative and eager to learn, she's drawn to horses, but isn't good at riding; in spite of that, she's up for the challenge. Unlike her brother Jack, she hopes to run Beecher's Hope one day in their father's stead.

TUDOR WEEK 2024

It is baaaaack by popular demand!. We are hosting Tudor Week 2024. This is going to be hosted from Monday the 14th of October to Sunday the 20th of October.

The week will go as follows:

Day 1 - Monday, 14th of October:  Your Favourite Tudor (members of the family that were born Tudors). Day 2 - Tuesday, 15th of October: Favourite Tudor contemporary quote about or said by the Tudor family. Day 3 - Wednesday, 16th of October: Best Tudor What If? Day 4 - Thursday, 17th of October: Fancast Your Favourite Tudor Family Member. Day 5 - Friday, 18th of October: Favourite Tudor Iconography (e.g. Tudor Rose, Anne Boleyn's falcon, Jane Seymour's Phoenix). Day 6 - Saturday, 19th of October: Favourite Tudor Couple (could include unmarried couples, e.g., Elizabeth I and Robert Dudley). Day 7 - Sunday, 20th of October: Favourite Tudor-related location.

This can cover all events and media that a Tudor family member is present, so from Owen Tudor to Elizabeth Tudor, and may include spouses and acknowledged children of direct members of the Tudor family (if unsure who we cover please check our Family page). We have attempted to make it as broad as possible and no pressure if you are late with some of the days, we will still reblog.

TUDORWEEK2024 - DAY THREE: Best Tudor What If?

What if all of Henry VII and Elizabeth of York's children survived?

It shows Henry VII and Elizabeth of York united by an angel. Their children are shown to either side, the sons on the left behind their father and the daughters on the right behind their mother. Of the princes, only Henry was alive at the time the painting was made (c.1503-9); Edmund died aged 1 and Arthur died in 1502. Elizabeth of York died in 1503 following the birth of Princess Catherine, who only lived for a few hours. The eldest two princesses were alive, but Mary died very young. These figures thereby symbolise the progeny of Henry VII and Elizabeth of York and symbolise the new Tudor dynasty, rather than functioning as realistic portraits. The King and Queen kneel at prayer desks on which Henry VII has a prayer book, orb and sceptre, and Elizabeth of York has a prayer book. - Per description of the artistic work entitled 'The Family of Henry VII with St George and the Dragon c. 1503-9'.
