Operation: Joy to the World
A Meet the Robinsons fanfiction by CreativeSoul27 (my FF.net and Ao3 username 😊)
{Summary: Franny's stressed the night before the most important concert of her music career, so Neil devises a plan to cheer his wife up (with Wilbur's help, of course).}
As with my previous MTR fics, this fic is based on a few sketches done by the AMAZING artists who share the blog @elioli-art. I received permission from them to post this fic and to use a small section of their work as the cover art. Thanks so much again, you guys are the best!! 💖💖💖
The art I referenced/used for this fic can be found on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th images in this particular elioli art dump!!

There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow
Chapter 20: There's a Starman, Waiting in the Sky
Wilbur followed the sound into the projection room - which would someday become Franny’s music room.
Right now, however, it bore blue curtains rather than red. There were star patterned carpets on the floor. There was no little stage, no little instruments, and of course, no frogs playing their snazzy frog jams. The center of the room held a long abandoned projector, pointed up at the ceiling, but turned off.
Wilbur glanced behind the curtain, but found nothing.
“Hello?”
The boy probably jumped a foot in the air when the projector suddenly powered up with a long worn motor.
Suddenly, the curtains were bathed in the sparkling lights of stars. Shooting stars dashed and constellations danced. A distant universe swirled slowly. Over crackling old speakers around the room, a narrator spoke broken tapes.
“Space. Little is known about s-s-s-such a pl- but what astronauts f- nothing short of astronomical..”
Wilbur was shaken from his awed gaze when something was knocked over backstage.
“In the v-vastness of never ending space, some often speculate that-t we aren’t alone…”
He grabbed a wrench off the bottom of the cart, holding it up and scanning the room.
“Some fear something more…”
The door slammed shut behind Wilbur. He whirled around and bit down a shout.
“Invaders of earth. Enslavers of mankind… Ali-”
Wilbur backed into the projector. With a screech, he whirled around and slammed the wrench into the projector, sending it scattering to the floor and plunging the room into total darkness.
“Nephew!”
Wilbur screamed and began swinging blindly, but someone caught the wrench. He continued to yell until the light of a small device revealed his uncle there standing over him. “Woah, woah! Great moxie, but I’m afraid you’ve got the wrong target!”
Wilbur stopped fighting. “Uncle Art? How long have you been here?”
His uncle laughed and put away his phone. “Not long.”
“About your attack methods. Would you like some techniques? I’d be happy to teach you.”
“Wh… Yes please.”
-------
They’d been driving for 45 minutes, but had very little to show for it.
“Buster!” Tallulah called out the window again. She was beginning to lose hope. They’d driven down every which way, but couldn’t see the little dog anywhere. It was as if he fell off the face of the earth.
“Let’s head home. He’s clearly nowhere around here, and we can start fresh tomorrow,” Gaston spoke, uncharacteristically quiet. Tallulah nodded solemnly.
The stuntman turned to Grandpa Bud, who had been providing another set of eyes from the backseat.
Like the others, he was unusually quiet, although given the circumstances, it was understandable.
“Wait,” Tallulah sat up. “What about the arrows?”
“What arrows?”
“There are arrows on buildings all around town. I think it’s Laszlo trying to show us something. Maybe he’s telling us where he is. Look there, see?” She pointed out the front window at a red arrow pointing down another path.
“Please. I’m worried about my brother. I haven’t been away from him this long before.”
Gaston stared at it a long moment.
Tallulah waited, starting to look worried.
He put the car in drive and turned on the headlights. “Let's go find that gremlin,” Gaston smiled. Tallulah cheered and hugged him, chuckling at Gaston’s nickname for her brother. Gaston laughed when Bud joined in on the hug as well.
Down the street, a car turned off its headlights and prepared to continue following them.

Artwork by Elena and Olivia.
This one moment - Now - is the only thing you can never escape from... Since there is no escape from the Now, why not welcome it, become friendly with it?
Do you treat this moment as if it were an obstacle? Do you feel you have a future moment to get to that is more important? Almost everyone lives like this most of the time. Since the future never arrives, except as the present, it is a dysfunctional way to live. It does not honour life, which is Now and never not Now.
A simple but radical spiritual practice is to accept whatever arises in the Now - within and without.
Most people confuse the Now with what happens in the Now, but that's not what it is. Your innermost sense of I Am has nothing to do with what happens in your life... In childhood and old age, in health or sickness, in success or failure, the I Am - the space of Now - remains unchanged at its deepest level.
...How easy it is to remember the truth... I am not my thoughts, emotions, sense perceptions, and experiences. I am not the content of my life. I am Life. I am the space in which all things happen. I am consciousness. I am the Now. I Am.
Chapter 4, The Now, Stillness Speaks, Eckhart Tolle

Can I ask about artists that inspire you? I don't know if you've answered this before, but you once mentioned surrounding yourself with artists you'd like to emulate. Do you have any online? Love your stuff btw!
Hello! Yes, I have active artists who inspire me. As I wrote in the post you mentioned, it's important for me to have an artist to learn from. So here are few whose posts I never skip! (it's gonna be long ughh)
Kamome Shirahama (author of "Witch Hat Atelier" manga) (@ shirahamakamome on twitter)
Kamome Shirahama is incredibly talented, and I admire the way she always manages to give her figures visual weight through the fabric movements. To me her art is a perfect balance of realism and stylization, and that's just what I want to pursue in my own art. I think I need to admit I always look at her illustration to find the way to give my characters fluidity of movements and ease of shape.
Ryoko Kui (author of "Dungeon Meshi")
I don't really know if she has an account, but to me her art is a way to learn shapes better.
I am a very big fan of "less is more" concept, so when I see artist being able to put their characters to life within simple lines and soft shapes, I am automatically interested.
I know Ryoko Kui's, as much as Kamome Shirahama's art, is far from simple - it's perfectly balanced in terms of realism and style, her characters feel volumetric and grounded, that's why I like to study her art, trying to break it down piece by piece.
But let me share my favorite artists who are not mangakas, whose works I never skip!
ELIOLI / @/ elioli-art (Elena and Olivia Ceballos)
(Especially their 2021 art, which fascinates me till this day)
Variety of their art is wide, but I like to learn the most from their scenes and landscapes. Check their account (they also have a twitter account as far as I know)!
And also these arists!! Their illustrations and skills really inspire me: everything from colors to structure of their scenes.
Tbf I have endless amount of artists who I am willing to learn from, but I have adhd and can't even remember who I follow!!
Don't forget that you should look at every artist with desire to understand their work, if you are an artist too. Maybe I just want to complicate things, but every piece of art to me is an opportunity to learn and try out something new. But it's really important to find something you are comfortable with!
Sorry for yapping so much though. <3

Some concepts for my comic Los Brujos. I did this mostly for fun and as practice, and it kinda helped me understand my ideas for their world a little better. If you’ve followed me for a long time, you’ll know I’ve been developing this story for some time now. I even had a webcomic that had to go into hiatus (due to personal life events, but also I was unhappy with some story choices.) Their story has always stuck with me and it’s a big life goal to finish a book about them. nowadays I’m much happier with the story…really simplified a lot of convoluted stuff haha The goal seems a lot more likely now!!
Currently Los Brujos is the story of three Puerto Rican brothers aspiring to be exorcists — specifically ones that focus on helping disturbed spirits heal and pass on.
Inspired by the work of @/elioli-art of course!! B^]
Like my art? Please consider tipping!

@elioli-art is raising funds to make a short animation film based on their comic “The Moon and Me”. Their artwork and storytelling is amazing! I fell in love with their artwork that often reminds me of childhood dreams and the beauty of the stars.
I’m so excited to also announced that I’m going to be working on this short as a storyboard artist! Along with many other fantastic artists! I’m so excited and I can’t wait to work on Elioli’s world!
Support us and spread the news if you can! :D

Meet the Robinsons Headcanons (Part 2)
Some of these headcanons are inspired by @elioli-art's beautiful artwork! (notably the ones with Lewis hanging out with Franny and her brothers and Art playing football) (Seriously, go check out their lovely art!)
Art used to be scared of the frogs, but Franny helped him with his fear by having him hold some of her different frogs. Holding them and having them be introduced by name actually helped, and after a while he grew to like the frogs.
Eventually, whilst on one of his missions, Art came across a community of frog-like aliens. He saw that some of them were afraid of him. Remembering his sister, he was friendly and introduced himself, and got to know the community.
Some adventures, rescues, and pizza later, and that planet is now happily at peace
Carl gets cleaned once a month via laser cleaning
Tallulah is asthmatic. It used to be much worse when she was little, but thankfully it doesn’t act up very often now.
Just in case, she carries her inhaler on her, and Laszlo keeps a spare in his coat in case of emergencies.
The last time Tallulah had a bad asthma attack, it came on while she and her brother were arguing. The second he realized something was off, all bad feelings were out the window and he was by her side with her inhaler and helping her breathe. By the time it passed, neither of them remembered what they were even arguing about, nor did they care.
On the bright side, while her asthma has settled significantly, Tallulah still has a wheezing laugh, which she finds hilarious. She, Laszlo, and Wilbur get a kick out of it every time.
Uncle Fritz can’t swim. Not very well, anyway.
Aunt Petunia definitely used the “Just throw them in the water, they’ll figure it out” method to teach Laszlo and Tallulah how to swim. (Fritz was not a fan of her method)
Lewis couldn’t swim before he was adopted. Bud and Lucille taught him shortly after moving into the observatory!
Many summer days Lewis had Franny and her brothers over to come jump in the pool, have fun, and watch movies. Bud and Lucille were always delighted to have them around!
When school would come back into session, the Framaguccis would spend after school time at the Robinsons. They’d often help each other with homework and projects. Bud and Lucille were always fantastic science teachers.
Bud, Lucille, and Lewis would join Gaston and Franny to watch Art play football on Saturdays.
Art came up with Buster’s name.
