I think about the Westerlings a lot. Because, man, there’s another family that gets thrown under the bus by the fandom in the name of Stark stanning.

Note
if you do end up doing a westerling one shot i think elenya would be a good choice for pov!
imo it's a good choice because there's a few similarities between eleyna and cicely. the first being is that both houses betray robb stark by using their daughters as a pawn- sybell spider violates jeyne's bodily autonomy by secretly dosing her with moon tea and walder frey forces roslin to be the bride of the red wedding.
roslin was cicely's aunt and eleyna was of course jeyne's little sister. from what i remember little bee (side note she was so funny at times and then she broke my heart!) was like "i would never act so ungrateful if I got to marry lord and wear a beautiful dress!" you could have something where eleyna doesn't understand why mother doesn't like king robb- sure, what he and jeyne did wasn't proper but he did the honorable thing and besides didn't you always want a high match for jeyne and me? she gets to be a queen! after jeyne and robb and catelyn leave for edmures wedding at the twins you could have sybell comment in eleyna's company that she hopes jeyne doesn't get with child while she's away. eleyna could be like but don't kings need heirs? and sybell could give an excuse that it's a hard thing to be pregnant during wartime and that jeyne should be with her mother if she is and she could warn eleyna not to repeat what she said.
doing eleyna's pov is also interesting because they spend the next couple years at riverrun as guests - at one point they are briefly the highest ranking people at riverrun with the departure of the starks and tullys as the queen's family and then very suddenly they are not. jeyne and their older brother are dead. the westerlings lose the crag just as the freys lose the twins. both of their parents schemes don't work out the way they thought.
an eleyna pov also means getting another pov of the paul the pious situation in harrenhal. as of 302 the westerlings were still at riverrun so they had to be around for that. especially since robb getting 7 years worth of prayers for jeyne. an eleyna pov also means getting the reactions to things like tywin's death. depending on what you want to cover it could also mean the reaction to aegon's coming, the reveal of elia martell's actions, and his marriage to sansa stark - the goodsister eleyna's sister never met.
concerning the fact that robb took so long to remarry when most people probably expected to do so within the year - you could have sybell comment that he should have wed much sooner after hearing of his wedding to margaery tyrell while giving an eleyna an odd look. depending on whenever or not eleyna had her suspicions about sybell she could be confused as to why her lady mother is giving her such an odd look
an eleyna pov would also be a good choice because not only could you do anything with eleyna's character (similar to little bee) but you could also do more with jeyne westerling! you did such a beautiful job with her but we would get a pov of someone who grew up with her versus the other povs we saw jeyne through (arya and catelyn) who knew her for a very short time really. you did such a great job showing robbs grief for jeyne as her husband and with eleyna we could get her grief for jeyne as her sister!
this OF COURSE are all those suggestions/inspo if you do decide to a westerling one shot! absolutely NO EXPECTATIONS! i just thought you might appreciate my rambles
hope everything going great for bel 2!! so glad bel and edythe are the next povs, who are of course AMAZING POVS!!!!!
👀🤔 definitely a lot of great ideas to keep in mind!

Chapter By Chapter> Star Trek: The Vulcan Academy Murders chapter 21
BW Media Spotlight's Chapter By Chapter> Star Trek: The Vulcan Academy Murders chapter 21
Chapter By Chapter (usually) features me reading one chapter of the selected book at a time and reviewing it as if I were reviewing an episode of a TV show or an issue of a comic. There will be spoilers if you haven’t read to the point I have, and if you’ve read further I ask that you don’t spoil anything further into the book. Think of it as a read-along book club. Things were not going well…

reading a book where one of the main plot lines is the mistreatment of women in the fictional country of Ithenmyr (they cannot speak in public unless spoken to and must have their father brother or husband with them at all times. they are treated as scum, only good for breeding.), and sitting here, reading the female main character say things like “I will not stop until all women are free and equal.”
i had to stop because WOW if 47 read indie fantasy romance novels this series would’ve been banned so fast

these hollow empty spaces
“do what is right, not what is easy.”
My first Game of Thrones fic! Notably, this is not the idea I sent in an ask to @dipperscavern, but rather one sort of inspired by a separate ask. I tried to link both asks, but tumblr won’t let me. Anyhoops.
Synopsis: The youngest daughter of Tywin Lannister refuses to stand idly by, and the currents of fate shift.
Pairing: Robb Stark x Lannister!OC
Tags: slow burn, enemies to lovers but like enemies more in the political sense
Part 1
Tumblr media
The North passed outside the window in an endless expanse of rolling moors and sprawling forests – nature at its finest. The air up here was clean and cold, almost sweet after the stink of King’s Landing. Maybe that’s why Eleyna couldn’t stop drawing back the heavy curtains that kept the cold out.
Cersei huffed. “Must you stare out the window? It’s not as if there is anything interesting out there.” She glared at Eleyna. “You’ll make the children sick, they aren’t used to this dreadful chill.”
The children in question were playing a game quietly in their corner of the wheelhouse, and looked rather warm, if Eleyna was being honest. The only one who could complain of being cold was Joffrey, riding outside with Jaime. Eleyna rolled her eyes at her sister and let the curtain drop. “You are the only one complaining, dear sister. Forgive me for wanting to enjoy the beauty of the North.”
“The beauty of a frozen, barren wasteland?” Cersei scoffed.
“You’ve been in the city too long, Cersei,” Eleyna sighed. “The North is not a wasteland.”
“No?” Cersei waved a hand at the window. “How many cities have we passed? How many keeps?” She shook her head disdainfully. “It has been days since we saw civilization, if that swamp can be called such. Barren wasteland.”
Eleyna sighed and leaned back in her seat. “That swamp is Moat Cailin. It is the first defense of the North against Southron invasions and it has never been taken precisely because of the swamp it sits on. You should know this, Cersei, don’t you ever listen to Father and Jaime?” She smirked faintly. “Or do you and Jaime not… talk about such things?”
Cersei scowled. Her voice was sharp when she spoke. “I have better things to worry about than Northern defenses.”
Eleyna shrugged and looked back out the window. “Let us all hope you never lead a war then.”
“Spending all those years with only Father and Tyrion for company has made you paranoid,” Cersei scoffed. “Do you expect us to be going to war with the North sometime soon, sister? Ned Stark is Robert’s loyal dog, you know that as well as I. I don’t worry about Northern defenses because there is no reason to. Lord Stark is loyal to Robert, and Robert plans to betroth the Stark girl to my Joffrey. We will have Northern loyalty for decades to come.”
“You sound so certain,” Eleyna mused. She certainly wouldn’t want to be Sansa Stark — Joffrey had become quite the mean-spirited boy in her years away from the Red Keep, and she often wondered what happened to the sweet little toddler he’d been when she left. Maybe he’d be kinder to his future wife.
****
There is a surprising amount of people in the courtyard of Winterfell when Eleyna follows Tyrion out of the wheelhouse ahead of Cersei and the children. The entire Stark household came out to meet the King, it seems. From the corner of her eye, Eleyna can see Joffrey preening, and she rolls her eyes at him, turning away before he can see.
The Stark family makes up the first line of welcoming party. A tall, serious-faced man near Robert’s age (wearing his years better, in Eleyna’s opinion) stands next to a pretty red-headed woman – Ned Stark and his Tully wife. She can hear her father in her head — “Honorable to a fault – where does honor get you in war?” — as she watches Lord Stark and his household kneel before Robert. The King waves them to their feet and regards Lord Stark solemnly.
“You got fat,” Robert says. Eleyna scoffs internally — Robert enjoyed his wine and feasting, and it showed — and she watches Ned Stark raise an eyebrow pointedly before both men start to laugh. She resists the urge to shake her head and moves her attention to the rest of the Starks.
Eleyna means to scan down the line of children — five of them, and all close in age, gods above Lord and Lady Stark had been busy — but her eyes land on the Heir of Winterfell and stop. Robb Stark’s coloring is all Tully, like his mother, all dark auburn curls and bright blue eyes. The expression he wears is all Lord Stark. She wonders idly what he’d look like wearing a smile — something tells her it would light his face up.
Tywin had brought Robb Stark up exactly once, when Eleyna had come of an age to betroth. Robert had wanted Tywin to arrange a marriage between the Stark heir and the Lannister heir. Tywin had read the letter to her and then promptly thrown it on the fire. He was adamant that his heir would not ever marry into the North. “You are a lioness, my daughter, and no child of mine will be a wolf if I can help it.”
“— and my goodsister, the Lady Eleyna Lannister.” Robert’s voice filtered in, and Eleyna blinked. She’d been staring at the Stark boy too long.
****
Robb stood solemnly by his father as they filled the courtyard. He could guess at some of them by reputation alone — the tall golden haired knight must be the Kingslayer, Ser Jaime Lannister, and the boy next to him was likely the Crown Prince, Joffrey. The king — a larger man than Robb had expected, a man who looked as though he enjoyed wine — stopped in front of Father, and the two men stared at each for a long tense moment.
Robb looked past them as the king spoke jovially to his father and greeted his mother. The queen’s wheelhouse had made it — barely — into the courtyard. First out was a short, little man who shared the Kingslayer’s blonde hair. “That’s the Imp!” Robb heard Arya whisper.
Robb’s eyes caught on the next person to exit, a golden-haired girl who looked close to his own age. He mentally ran through the members of the queen’s family — with that blonde hair, how could she be anything but Lannister? — and decided this had to be Eleyna Lannister, Tywin Lannister’s youngest daughter. He studied her delicate features, softer somehow than her elder sister’s. Robb would never say it — hadn’t Theon just said that morning that the queen was proud and vain? — but Eleyna Lannister was, in a word, beautiful, moreso than her sister in his opinion.
The instant the introductions and ceremony were finished, Father and the king disappeared down into the crypts, and the Lannisters were escorted off to the guest wing. Robb found his eyes following the Lady Eleyna as she passed by him, her arm around the shoulders of Prince Tommen.
Theon thumped him on the shoulders. “Aye, she’s a beauty, isn’t she?” He inhaled through his teeth as he watched the Lannister heiress walk away. “You know I heard they call her the Golden Rose of the Westerlands? Gods above, imagine being the man to get to marry that?”
Robb didn’t want to imagine it, not when he could feel Jaime Lannister’s glare boring into the side of his head. Rather, he felt like any perceived slight against the Kingslayer’s little sister would earn him a sword through the back. He swallowed, and dragged Theon off out of Lannister’s earshot before he could get himself in trouble.
****
“You’re walking with the Stark boy tonight,” Cersei said as she swept into the library. Eleyna looked up from her book with an eyebrow raised.
“Good afternoon to you, too, Cersei,” she snarked. “What are you on about now?”
“Myrcella is far too young to be considered for a betrothal,” Cersei snapped. She sat dramatically in a chair across the table — Eleyna oft thought Cersei would have done well in a theater troupe. “And I will be dead in the grave before I see my only daughter shipped off North.”
“I wasn’t aware Lord Stark was seeking a marriage for his heir,” Eleyna hummed. She closed the book and eyed her elder sister. “Are you not concerned with offending our hosts? Custom dictates that eldest available son and the eldest available daughter enter together.”
Cersei waved it away. “He isn’t, as far as I know. But you know Robert. He’ll take any opportunity to join our family with his precious Starks. Bad enough that he’s already promised Joff to the eldest Stark girl. No.” She shook her head. “To hell with custom. The Stark boy will have to content himself with you instead of my sweet Myrcella. I will not have my only daughter placed in the hands of a Northern brute.”
“Cersei.” Eleyna had long since mastered the exact tone of voice Tywin Lannister used to keep his children in line — perks of growing up at her father’s knee — and Cersei rolled her eyes, but stopped insulting the Starks, thank the gods.
It was a long moment before Eleyna spoke again. “I will walk with Robb Stark.” Cersei started to smirk and Eleyna resisted the urge to hit her sister — as usual, Cersei had gotten what she wanted. She gritted her teeth as she spoke. “You… are not entirely wrong. Myrcella is rather young. She’d be better suited with the younger Stark boy. Bran, I believe his name is.”
“I knew you’d see it my way.” Cersei patted Eleyna’s hand and swept out of the room as Tyrion entered.
“That’s not—” But Cersei was already gone. Eleyna rolled her eyes.
“Cersei in the library?” Tyrion said with an air of incredulity as he took Cersei’s seat. “Whatever is that about?”
“It seems I’m to be escorted by Robb Stark this evening. Cersei is convinced that if he takes Myrcella, Robert will betroth her to the man.” Eleyna eyed her brother over the table. “I don’t know how and I don’t know why. But somehow, this is your fault.”
Tyrion shrugged, tapping idly. “You wound me, sister. You truly believe me so scheming?”
“Yes,” Eleyna said flatly. She shook her head and reopened her book. “You know as well as I how protective Cersei is of her children.”
“Her one redeeming quality.”
Eleyna’s lips quirked. “You said something to her. Admit it.”
“It is hardly my fault if our dear elder sister takes a jest seriously,” Tyrion said casually. “No real harm done, though. In fact, I do believe you will make a fine couple with the young Stark, should a betrothal actually form from this single escort.”
Eleyna snorted in a rather unladylike manner. “Father would sooner see dragons return.”
Tyrion couldn’t really disagree with that, but he shrugged anyway. “Stranger things have happened.”
Eleyna didn’t dignify that with a response.

[Sybell Westerling to Jaime:]"She would not give up the little crown the rebel gave her, and when I tried to take it from her head the willful child fought me." "It was mine." Jeyne sobbed. "You had no right. Robb had it made for me. I loved him." Her mother made to slap her, but Jaime stepped between them. [...]
Jaime had to canter past the Westerlings as he rode down the column on his way back to Riverrun. Lord Gawen nodded gravely as he passed, but Lady Sybell looked through him with eyes like chips of ice. Jeyne never saw him at all. The widow rode with downcast eyes, huddled beneath a hooded cloak. Underneath its heavy folds, her clothes were finely made, but torn. She ripped them herself, as a mark of mourning, Jaime realized. That could not have pleased her mother.
[Jaime, to the Freys:]"Tell me, is Ser Raynald Westerling amongst these captives?" "The knight of seashells?" Edwyn sneered. "You'll find that one feeding the fish at the bottom of the Green Fork." "He was in the yard when our men came to put the direwolf down," said Walder Rivers. "Whalen demanded his sword and he gave it over meek enough, but when the crossbowmen began feathering the wolf he seized Whalen's axe and cut the monster loose of the net they'd thrown over him. Whalen says he took a quarrel in his shoulder and another in the gut, but still managed to reach the wallwalk and throw himself into the river." -Jaime VII, aFfC
And Robb. Robb who had been more a brother to Theon than any son born of Balon Greyjoy's loins. Murdered at the Red Wedding, butchered by the Freys. I should have been with him. Where was I? I should have died with him. -Theon I(/VII), aDwD
something just so endearing to me about the way robb finds love and friendship with the children of enemy families. their parents still consider him an enemy and work for his downfall, and it would be in their own interests not to get so emotionally involved over the guy who took their castle by force (in jeyne w. and her siblings' case) or the heir of a captor/would-be executioner (in theon's case). but it just keeps happening with robb anyway. he just replaces one enemy's offspring at his side with even more of them. sybell spicer westerling and her brother rolph were secretly still loyal to tywin, but all her kids just gladly transferred their loyalty to a new king with no apparent misgivings. well, almost all of them, we can only guess and assume in eleyna's case. (bc we don't really see her after their intro scene, jeyne's-hips-don't-lie conspiracy theorists! you will not take jeyne's best moments away from her!) robb's younger brother-in-law was so eager to squire for him he was disappointed not to join his last war march and wasn't even ready to leave robb alone with catelyn after he introduced them. jeyne refused to hide her widow's grief once robb was gone and her mother's true feelings were known to her, risking physical abuse from her mother to boldly make her true loyalty known to the lannister regime who murdered her husband and have responsibility for her future. and jeyne's other brother, raynald, he died for robb at the red wedding, no, to be precise, he died for grey wind at the red wedding. robb's direwolf may have distrusted sybell and rolph spicer, and made jeyne uneasy, pushing robb away from his lupine other half at riverrun, until only the lack of most of the westerlings got the wolf back at robb's side where he belonged on the way to the rw, but when the freys came to kill grey wind it was that westerling knight who fought to aid him. when grey wind died, possibly with robb's spirit also inside him, raynald westerling was the one there dying loyally with him.
and ofc, there's still theon too. theon, who, even after everything, after fighting against the starks at wf, so that robb spent his last months waiting to come home and kill him, after all that, he still idealizes robb as his only true brother, wishing he could have been able to die with him at the twins as raynald westerling did. (catelyn was more right than she knew when she thought jeyne's brothers were standing in for those robb had lost, theon included.) part of that is surely down to just how badly theon's conquest at wf worked out for him, earning him the enmity of all the northmen and ending in his prolonged torture by the son of robb's killer, a kingslayer who thanked theon for helping bring down the starks, all giving him cause to idealize his earlier captivity at wf (and feel guilt for his deeds there), but we know his brotherly affection for robb was not merely invented by trauma after the fact. the love was always there, even if it was hidden.
that's what made robb such a potentially good king if circumstance and youth had not been against him. his charisma was such that he not only won the undying loyalty of most of his bannermen but could also win the hearts and minds of those who should have only been enemies. sure, he couldn't change the minds of their parents, who were ultimately in charge, but that wasn't really his fault. and it doesn't nullify the love he did inspire in those children of his enemies, their love was real and it still mattered. it's true both of his sisters gained the protection of the hound, joffrey's dog, and that bran and rickon had the fierce loyalty of osha after she first met bran trying to rob him, and ofc jon snow had multiple wildling allies after he used to fight against them, but robb's the only starkling to gain the love of would-be enemies from two different enemy regions, isn't he? it's just all really indicative of robb's greatest inheritance from ned: ruling through getting to know all your people and making them care for you (with robb taking it further by extending this to hostages) as opposed to the lannister method of ruling only through fear. sansa was right that love is a surer route to people's loyalty than fear, it's just an unfortunate fact that not everyone can be won that way.

"it would be impolite to leave without thanking the hosts after so much effort, would it not?" point had always been made to ensure that whomever was playing host would know of his gratitude. a lesson his father had instilled in him and he would see his own sons embodied too. their standing depended on how others saw them, after all, a very pleasant words cost nothing but ignorance could cost everything. "worth a trip to the dungeons? yes, I think nerissa will be pleased with what I found." though his wife was not short of jewels it always pleased him to bring her another. "while I am grateful for your generous offer, I can assure you that I have all that I need to ready lannisport. you need not worry, it will be the jewel in your crown." smirk flickered over his own lips to match his ruling lady's, confident that lannisport could steal the limelight. they had the benefit of having the whole kingdom see their city but only a fraction of the responsbility.

🐅💖💛 for Jeyne Westerling, please
Oooh thank you!
🐅 - Characterization: character habits, personality, etc.
I see/headcanon Jeyne as this mixture of sweet, romantic, idealistic and compassionate on one hand, but also passionate, headstrong, stubborn and maybe a bit selfish in certain respects on the other. I don't really see her as ambitious or interested in politics though. In my headcanon(s), that's more her sister.
💖 - Romantic relationships or ships. (This could be as simple as sharing a rareship you enjoy, or an unusual interpretation of a popular/canon ship!)
Hmm I don't know that I have a lot of Jeyne ships. I've enjoyed shipping her with Sansa! I do kinda ship her with Robb, tbh? But the thing is I definitely don't see this as either 1) a completely one-sided relationship or 2) a perfect non-problematic relationship as tends to be the two most common interpretations I've seen.
Without writing a whole ass meta here (lol) there's too components of my opinion here. First, while I think it's reasonable to assume that duty and wanting to do the right thing played a role in Robb's decision to marry Jeyne, I reject the notion that that's all it was. I see no reason to take his talk to duty at face value but not his super sappy "I conquered her castle and she conquered my heart." Like please, that's a cringe, goo-ey teenage infatuation if I've ever seen one. (Also, I'm sorry, but they fuck like rabbits on the daily. I know Robb needs an heir but this does not sound like someone who's not enjoying sex with his wife.) So yea, I think he was into her a lot, and wanting to keep her with him and also his feelings making him less willing to hurt her played a large part in in decision making as well as honor and duty considerations.
That said, Robb was kinda shitting to her and I think there's ample possible reason for this, everything from his initial infatuation fading somewhat to having to return to the war and all its stresses full time have put a damper on his ability/desire for romance if not his libido. (And it's not like Robb isn't ever kinda shitty toward other people he ostensibly loves/cares about...) I do think though, that had Robb survived the war, they could have ended up having a pretty happy marriage.
Second, this fandom really needs to recognize more how sketchy the circumstances around their first sexual encounter were. I'm not saying Jeyne didn't consent to the sex, but...it amazes me that people who easily recognize the coercive elements in the Criston/Rhaenyra scene don't see them here. The power imbalance is significant. Robb has conquered her home and his men are literally occupying it. Jeyne and her family are completely at his mercy. She doesn't really know him that well so it's hard for her to tell how he will/won't react to things (such as a sexual rejection). Robb absolutely has a temper, and if she ever witnessed it that would not have been comforting. Yes, she's attracted to him/infatuated or in love with him, but that's not really there or here when it comes to consent at any specific given moment. (Criston was attracted to Rhaenyra,, Cersei in love with Jaime - that didn't change the issues with those sex scenes.) Yes, Robb had recently been ill, but this is not a Petyr and Lysa situation frankly. Robb gives no indication of being confused about what had been happening or what they were doing. I'm also pretty sure no one was giving him war reports while he was high on milk of the poppy or whatever.
And again, I'm not saying she didn't say yes or want to... But also...that's kind of the point to. We don't know exactly what happened. Or really even any not extremely vague version. I'm sure Robb believes for every moment that she was into it. But this is less to say "it was definitely dubcon" and more like...I think this situation was more psychologically complicated than fandom has any desire to explore. (Weird in a fandom that looooves to talk about these issues. But then Robb's a Stark so what do I expect? lol) Personally, I enjoy some ambiguity there, a bit of uncertainty, a bit of confusion on Jeyne's part afterwards maybe. Because otherwise...how reckless, how selfish of her. And I don't want to be of that opinion of her.
(Literally, do not come at me with the "they drugged/seduced him" misogynistic conspiracy theories. I will sacrifice you to the Drowned God.)
💛 - Familial relationships.
I def have thoughts/feelings about Jeyne and her siblings! I think before her marriage/the Incident with Robb she was pretty close with all of them. Rollam is probably her most "surface" relationship - he's a lot younger and a boy, so they're not as close as she is with her sister and older brother, but it's also relatively straightforward and uncomplicated. That doesn't really change.
Eleyna is a more complex relationship - she's also a few years younger but them being sisters they have some more common interests/goals/environments/etc. Probably more of a complexity than their difference in age is their difference in personality. I hc Jeyne taking more after their father and Eleyna taking more after their mother. Eleyna is more practical and cynical, particularly for her age, less prone to romanticism and more prone to following the rules, or at least appearing to. But still being young this is also a bit sublimated with the naivete of childhood and such. She's far more ambitious than Jeyne. This all gets especially fraught after Jeyne gets involved with Robb. Eleyna does not take this well. She instinctively (and in part actually) understands the danger Jeyne's marriage puts their family in and the problems it will cause of Eleyna personally down the line, especially if Robb doesn't win. She also understands that if Jeyne's reputation is ruined her own could be impacted/questioned as well, especially when her prospects were already lower than Jeyne's, being the younger daughter. So she is extremely angry at Jeyne for what she considers to be her thoughtlessness and selfishness. So their relationship suffers not insignificantly.
Raynald I headcanon as like Jeyne's best friend. They're extremely close and while he's not sure how to feel about this whole allegiance switching thing generally and knows it's dangerous, he'll do pretty much anything for his sister's happiness.

I love the idea of a resonance AU where they are triplets and Dany comes along with them, whether 13 years old pre dragon hatching Dany who gets two older brothers (And gets to know Rhaegar!) who aren't like Viserys, or later Queen of Mereen Dany - but also imagine a triplets!Girl!AU, where they are Rhaella/Rhaenys, Visenya and Daenerys (After being Jeyne, Eleyna, and...idk, Deyna? Alayne?)
Otto would be all Score! And plotting for marriages to each of his grandsons, and Viserys would be mentally doing the same with Rhaenyra's sons. Jon would definitely be the Visenya, older and protective and skilled with a sword, Rhaenys/Rhaella would be, as you said, happy with being a woman and singing and so on, and Dany gets to be the babied youngest. The Warlock brings three eggs, and one is Drogon's.
Dany being along for the ride has come up in a few previous asks, particularly in the comments discussion (here and here).
A triplet!Girl!AU would definitely be Otto's and Viserys's dream scenario. There are even enough to go around that Viserys might actually agree with Otto that one should be matched with Aegon or Aemond (or both, given that Rhaenys and Corlys will still want Luke to marry the eventual Baela). But hey, they have their own opinions on matches, and Daemon is...not gonna be a fan of his girls marrying one of his awful nephews.
(I don't know if Rhaegar is happy being a girl, per se, but he definitely adjusts better than Jon given his passions and hobbies.)
The "Dany has two 'older' brothers" variant is also extremely sweet, especially if it's sad 13-year-old Dany dreaming of the house with the red door.

Chapter By Chapter> Star Trek: The Vulcan Academy Murders chapter 20
BW Media Spotlight's Chapter By Chapter> Star Trek: The Vulcan Academy Murders chapter 20
Last time the power was out…

THE  INFAMOUS  SWORD  ,  ENDBRINGER  ,  TAKES  IT  PLACE  HIGH  IN  THE  LIGHT  ,  upon  a  warm  day  with  spring  flowers  before  the  blades  come  down  with  such  a  force  that  delivers  a  fatal  blow.  each  man  in  the  duel  believed  himself  to  represent  love  and  virtue ,  moreover ,  with  a  disgustingly gallant  perspective ,  they  could  have  become  brothers.  the  knights  duelled  in  embroidered  splendour  upon  war  horses  that  flowed  over  hallowed  castle  grounds ,  duels  to  settle  egos  and  quarrels  and  claim  righteous  titles  and  honour.
seryna  harlaw ,  on  the  other  hand ,  wasn't  duelling  to  represent  anything  that  symbolized  harmony.  she  was  a  shipwrecked  girl.  turbulent ,  fervent ,  storm-twisted  swells  of  grit  and  salt.  if  one  were  to  mention  the  beauty  of  this  day  and  what  it  brings ,  all  seryna  would  see  are  blades  of  steel ,  not  the  green  grass  but  the  red  blood  spilled.  the  blood  she  spills and the wounds she creates.
❝ it's  fine. no harm done , ❞   seryna  tells the other  ,  still  slightly  exasperated  from  her  fight.  drops  of  blood  still  spot  bits  of  her  armour but doesn't pay attention while wiping off the crimson from endbringer and place the blade in its sheath. ❝ would you mind if i walk with you ? i was thinking of getting a drink of ale myself. i'm quite parched after playing in said chaos. ❞ a smirk played on her lips , palm on the hilt of the sword , posture relaxed despite the adrenaline that continues to pump through her veins.

in  her  twenty  five  years  ,  lady  eleyna  has  been  sheltered  to  the  truth  of  king's  landing  .  to  see  blood  spilled  with  ease  ,  her  eyes  widen  in  their  surprise  at  such  violence  and  the  tourney  is  ,  suddenly  ,  not  quite  what  she  had  expected  .  not  entirely  naïve  ,  she  is  aware  of  the  world  which  surrounds  her  ,  of  the  terror  and  the  bloodshed  and  still  —  she  shudders  at  the  sight  of  another  joust  ending  in  death  .
excusing  herself  ,  eleyna  eases  a  smile  upon  her  face  as  she  slips  from  the  audience  and  out  into  the  surrounding  grounds  ,  her  breathing  uneven  ,  her  stomach  roiling  .  clumsiness  is  a  virtue  ,  and  she  wanders  into  another  with  a  grunt  ,  eyes  reaching  theirs  with  apology  .  "  i'm  so  sorry  !  i  was  just  excusing  myself  for  some  air  away  from  the  chaos  .  "
