April 2024 Art Dump

Oki Doki! So That one very early morning that I woke up and was stuck up for over half an hour which was just long enough for me to post on tumblr about needing to organize and figure out where I stood on the entire keeping y'all up to date on the minimal work that I do with my limited energy I ended up cleaning in real life instead so today I started tackling tumblr. And boy howdy I guess I just haven't been posting my art work for y'all for some reason? I think it's laziness, I stress myself out about the tagging process and make it way more complicated than it has to be stressing myself out to the point of not posting anything. Well it gives me something to do now!

Lots of characters and playing with photo editors! So for this first batch I'm hoping the photos will stay in the same order for you all that I'm seeing them in, but in case they aren't I'll try and be a bit more descriptive so you can understand which piece I'm talking about. There's really only three different drawings here (though an argument could be made for four it isn't one that anyone is tripping over themselves to make) the rest of the differences are from a combination of filters and other different photo editing effects. I used both Canva and BeFunky (the free versions) to achieve these looks and variations and had fun tweaking the design just here and there.

The first two pieces and the only pieces with a single character feature Elena Taski, one of my favorite oc's to draw.

Underneath her there should be two pieces that have two characters in them, these characters are young children, one is a girl standing by a tree and the other is a boy running away towards a yellow line that is meant to represent part of a swingset. This is actually a panel in four panel comic of no words I did for an art class in high school, redone digitally and taken out of context. I believe this was the second panel. The characters featured are Jester and Jesse Quinn. All three of those characters are involved in the same storyline/universe of mine called Learn To Be.

The last eight photos depict another piece I did in high school, though I can't remember if it was freshman or junior year I did it. It features five characters each of whom all had individual stories going on at the time, but eventually all but one would become a part of Learn To Be. The one that didn't make it didn't do so because it was a literal self-insert lol. The characters starting from top left are Elena, Camille, Jester, June, and then said old self insert character whose name I'm feeling too dysphoric to deal with right now. Above each characters head is a negative word they think about themselves so again starting from top left it says Failure, Mistake, Useless, Worthless; And It's All Your Fault. (It's the self inserts fault you see, because gheyre the creator, so it literally is their fault all these horrible things are happening to these fiction people-) As you can guess I was doing great lmao xD

My most punchable OCs is so hard to narrow down. Very much need to punch Jason. And I also desire to punch Heather but I also understand that it would not be appropriate and instead settle with clenching my fists and glaring. Eva Taski (not to be mistaken with Eva Wyndam-Pryce) needs to be punched in the face but I think id just break my hand. Davalon is a whole can of worms that I'm not opening but I am not being physically present near him ever. Malcolms dad who i care about so little I cant remember his name can get to meet my fist in his face. Jesse.... part of me wants to punch him, but part of me is real uncomfortable with the thought. So instead Malcolm, Noah, and Elena can punch him. And Jester has the right to join in but she chooses not to and instead gets nail polish on all his button ups.

The world has gone (or really just continues to be) fucking crazy and I feel both overwhelmed and understimulated which makes no sense so I also have a headache thats been coming and going for a couple of days now woooooo!!

The traditional ones were me playing around with water color. Why is Elena a mermaid? Because I can. Why is she smiling while splattered in blood? Do you really want to know? I don't think you do.

'Ello everyone! Its been a minute since I've made my own post. Its actually kinda difficult to figure out what I last showed yall 😅. But it looks like yall haven't seen anything I've done since August 3rd. Well, it's Halloween and I guess my art is the treats I'm leaving in a bowl outside saying please take one? Idk. I'm still not in a great place from everything I mentioned before and normally I see and get together with family today and its not happening at all as a FaceTime or phonecall or nothing. It has nothing to do with the snow either :/

Tell me about three of your favorite OCs you’ve worked on!

Thank you for the ask! Sorry for the wait, I've been working on this whenever I got the spoons which have been in short supply.

Three of my favorite OC's: Well one is very much Elena. From her starting point as an atla oc to role-play as, to her own fanfiction, then to multiple short/uncompleted stories, and finally being one of the main charecters for the series i hope to write (Learn To Be) shes been on a long journey with me and has consistently been an oc i fall back to in both writing and drawing. She's overpowered and badass, could kill a man twice her size with her bare hands without breaking a sweat, but doesn't have the average socialization the rest of the world does, and she doesn't like hurting people. She can keep her face completely blank but can't interpret what she feels correctly. She's repressed as fuck and the only way she knows how to let loose is in bursts of violent rage. She loves animals but has no idea how to properly handle any of them (in a friendly way, she can handle them in a her next meal way just fine). She attaches to people very fast. Oh year she also summons and controls fire and her skin can radiate heat at times, but she isn't resistant to burns. She loves her parents but everyone else who knows about them know that they deserve to be burning in hell <3

2. Would probably be Morgan Weasley even though she maybe is only a year or so old. With a lot of OC's i make i focus on one story to write and quickly end up moving on to new ones. But Morgan is one of the few that have stuck. I wrote a lot of her main story in a large span of inspiration, and when that ran out it was from an overwhelming amount of ideas to tweak the story in different ways. I've got a doc dedicated to different random snippets to full blown au's, some with multiple chapters planned. If I hadn't had an au idea for Morgan's story while I was inpatient id have been forced to stay longer because I was bored out of my mind and getting more agitated with nothing to do. Even though I havent written her (or much of anything really) recently I still find great pleasure in playing around with her universe in my head.

3. This is hard to choose because part of me just wants to put the rest of the main Learn to Be cast, part of me wants to say Greenland, and the rest of myself needs to keep reminding certain charecters aren't my oc's no matter how many parts of canon I throw out the window. I guess I'll just settle for malcolm and Jesse, who were created years apart, but have only really started to get developed because of their relationship. Malcolm was a full metal alchemist oc for role-playing at first. I was young and the role played story for him makes me cringe at how emotionally manipulative his actions were without me having any self awareness about it. Im not exactly sure when he started to join in on the short/uncompleted stories with the main five, but I think it was either We Are Salvageable or Crack Oc Highschool. He was mostly just one of my average ocs for role plays until then. Jesse was created for a very ambitious harry potter role play where, if I remember correctly, we were doing eight oc's each per house. At the time Jester was a very new character and I was struggling to think of more slytherians, so I came up with Jesse. Jesse was made to be the nicer version of Jester. This quickly changed to the opposite the more I wrote. Malcolm and jesses relationships has been through all sorts of changes and will continue to do so, but, I do at least have more personal background for Jesse, his internalized homophobia, and how he sees interactions with others. It also made me conclude that whether malcolm is gay or bi won't change the fact that he is out and proud. Their relationship also helped me flesh their insecurities, specifically ones tied to masculinity. Jesse is skinny, lanky, well groomed, formal clothes, and arrogant with large amounts of condescension to boot. He thinks power, sociatal, economical, and power strength is what separates real men from riff raff. To him homosexuality is unmanly, which is oh so terrible thing to be (this boy makes me so tired sometimes). Malcolm has a horrible father as an example and though he recognizes this, its hard to apply to himself. He has to be physically strong, he has to be aggressive and incite violence against people he considers bad, and he very much struggles to reign in his temper. He doesn't judge others by presentation but he does use phrases like be a man and the like.

Everyone Needs To Learn To Ask For Help (morgan’s story): Fuck and its variations have been used 46 times. For a story with 172514 words currently I am impressed at my self control.

Come Together: 0 uses of fuck (for now) and 2 instances of shit

The Apple of My Eye: No cursing yet, but it is currently mostly being told by a six year old

Here We Go Again: Operation Stop Real Family From Dying: (this will include the cursing done in first draft scenes and concepts) Fuck and its variations are used 21 times currently.

Seven: Not a lot of this story has been written but there is one instance of fuck

After that ask I got curious about how often I said fuck in my works (including all variations of the word ie fucking, fuckers, ect)

Only three times in Learn To Be Draft 2 which makes sense because it's from the perspective of young childeren.

In A Family Curse it's been used seventy times which makes sense now that I think about it since the main charecters best friend curses all the time and it rubs off on her at times. Also since I've hit 100,000 words I dont feel to bad. Although maybe I should come up with more creative insults.

In the soulmate au I'm writing for learn to be I've already used it 27 times which is a lot, but they're outcasted teenagers.

In The Taski Way I havent used it at all but that's probably because I've only typed one and half chapters and the main charecter isnt at the point of swearing at that level yet.

I havent used it at all in Repairing Family either but I have used shit 3 times.

I know it doesnt really matter but I had one creative writing teacher who found cursing uncreative and one who questioned why I was so comfertable writing curse words but not detailed gore. So sometimes I get stressed out about cursing to much in writing even though in my personal life I curse like a sailor.
