With every passing year it becomes clearer that she was a self insert all along

Smirking he kisses her before sliding off her oversized shirt, exposing her chest to him. Smiling he licks his lips and leans down taking her left nipple into his mouth sucking happily as his other hand cups and massages the other breast. Humming happily Dean looks at you keeping eye contact.

Winking at her he releases nipple and smirks "How are you doing gorgeous? Feeling good? Want more?" Trailing a hand along her leg and up to her thigh rubbing small circles.

Eleanor screamed in fear as she feels her body fly through the air as she was thrown before crashing into the wall harshly. Groaning in pain she curls around herself as her whole body throbs in agony.

It had been a normal night, just her completely unwinding before her door was forced down and she was attacked.

She was attempting to crawl away before harshly groaning as she was gripped around the throat and lifted off the floor once more as she kicked as had as she could.

This was it! She was going to die!

Dean's phone would not stop ringing, letting out a frustrated noise he answers it "What?! Oh sorry Bobby, yeah I'm on the road why? What? Son of a bitch! Yeah I'm on my way" Driving faster Dean reaches the address given to him by Bobby, finally being able to gank the demon that almost killed him gave Dean a certain type of satisfaction.

Getting out of Baby he quickly moved to the truck and grabs his gun and a knife before heading in. Hearing a commotion Dean rushed forward and sees a young woman being grabbed by her throat. "Hey dirt bag how about you leave the lady alone and pick on something more substantial" Holding the Demon blade in his hand Dean smirked before lunging forward and stabbing the demon in the heart watching it flicker out.

Watching the vessel fall to the ground along with the woman, Dean rushed over to her "Shit, hey sweetheart you ok? Blink twice for yes"

Look what came in the mail!!!

This is the clearest I've seen their faces not in potato pixel quality. There's a delightful little article in the back that isn't quite a review but more a "setting the stage" talking about Henry, John, and grisly medieval stories (Richard gets like a very tiny paragraph and not a lot said about his arc in this series.......makes me go HMM)

She wasn’t the type of person to hug people after just meeting them so when the very excited man came towards her with his arms outstretched for a hug the young Irish woman’s eyes widened in surprise. The young woman quickly ducked away to go to the other side of his arm as she nervously laughs while some of her hair fell over her eye.

“Oh, wow! Never had someone so excited for my first day.” She jokes before she laughs while she still tries to keep her distance.

Eleanor’s smile faltered slightly as Micheal started to speak as if he was imitating Yoda, none of the bosses she’d worked under at any other job she’d worked in had ever acted like how he acted. Maybe he was just nervous to have a new employee on the team she began to think, but she wouldn’t understand why having one more person would cause that reaction.

When Micheal practically danced away from them she tilts her head in confusion before she looks back to him as she lets out an awkward laugh as she nods to him.

“Well hopefully I can be maybe the first one to get desensitized here.” She joked

Carefully she pushes her straightened hair off of her face as, the same strand that had fallen over her eye, before she looks to his hand and reaches her’s out before taking his great fully and shaking it.

“It’s nice to meet you, so I guess I’ll have to rely on you today.” She teased gently

When she reached the desk he’d motioned her to she carefully hung her purse across the back of the chair before she looked to the other man who sat across from her.

“Hi, nice to meet you…..” she trailed off, offering the man time to say his own name.

Her brown eyes racked across the room, trying to mentally count out how many people sat at desks and where they were sitting. Looking back to Jim she smiles softly before she utters out in a simple tone.

“Could we maybe do like a tour or something just so I know where everything is. You know so I’m not constantly asking you where to find things since I think that would get on your nerves really quickly.”

Eleanor was the newest salesperson at the Dunder Mifflin paper company who had just been brought in for her first day of orientation. The young woman approaches the receptionist as she gripped onto her purse while she carefully utters out in a confident tone. “Hello, I don’t know if anyone told you I was coming today. I’m Eleanor, I was told to come here for orientation.” Just as the receptionist opened her mouth to respond she hears a man’s voice call out loudly. “Hey! New meat coming through! Wow look at you! Way prettier than Jan lead me to believe, hopefully that isn’t an issue.” As she turns she spots an older looking man coming towards her with a wide smile on his face, as he got closer Eleanor instinctively retreated a bit with a tense smile on her face. Letting out a laugh she nervously scans the room watching as some of the other employees watch on. The man laughs again before he holds his hand out towards her. “Hello, I’m Micheal Scott, best boss ever. I assume you’re the new hire.” Eleanor takes his hand in a careful grasp before she smiles nervously, her brown eyes shining as she carefully takes his hand and begins to shake it before she nods to him. “Hi, nice to meet you, I’m Eleanor Byrne. Excited to work with you all.”

Jim watched the scene before him with mild interest, a small smile already hidden behind his hand as he subtly shook his head as Michael, as per usual, over stepped and tried to hug Eleanor only to awkwardly back off.

"Work with you, excited we are too!" His boss laughed even as the new woman clearly had no idea what was happening with Michael. "Uhhhhm, Jim-Jam! You're not doing anything important- of that's just a sale, forget about it! You're new job is to help the lovely Elanor, no wait... Eleanor! Yeah, Eleanor get used to the office. Show her the ropes."

And with that, their boss was thankfully distracted by something else, leaving Jim to press his lips together and shake his head as if in apology as he stood, holding a hand out to Eleanor to shake. "I would apologize for him but you kinda get desensitized to him after like- well never...actually." He trailed off with a confused expression for a moment.

Shaking his head, he gestured for her to the desk to the right of him with a smile. "I guess I'm your orientation guide? I think this is supposed to be your new desk and just ignore the gremlin sitting across from you, I'm pretty sure he's part beaver." Jim joked as Dwight sputtered out a sarcastic reply about how beavers were better in the first place.

3. what were your top five books of the year?

i read every work in the hainish cycle by ursula le guin and naturally i would recommend almost all of them. but i think the ones that had the most impact on me (outside of the left hand of darkness, which i had already read) were the later hainish short stories, although i don’t know if those have ever been compiled into one book. so

1. the hainish cycle, especially“solitude” (which has perhaps changed my worldview irreversibly and forever) with an honorable mention to the “o” stories

2. going postal by terry pratchett, i had so much fun w this book and if there were 100 more books with adora belle dearheart in them i would read them all

3. paul takes the form of a mortal girl by andrea lawlor, fun campy and heartfelt exploration of how gender is defined in gay spaces

4. probably something from the second (chronological) half of the sherlock holmes canon since i finished that up early this year, i liked the adventure of the lion’s mane + the valley of fear + his last bow

5. the actual star by monica byrne, weird weird weird ass book but it deals with how cultures progress over long periods of time very interestingly

bonus best nonfiction: orientalism by edward said + the once and future sex by eleanor janega

bonus bonus best comic: everyone is already aware of this but i really liked superman for all seasons. a lot. i liked it a lot

5. what genre did you read the most of?

science fiction probably makes the biggest appearance on my actual formal reading list because i only track comics i read in there when i read like, 20+ consecutive issues of the same run. but i did read a loooot of sci fi this year

14. what books do you want to finish before the year is over?

like twenty….. once i finish my last huge final project for this semester all bets are off. im currently in the middle of guards! guards! by terry pratchett and about to start vaster wilds by lauren groff which i know nothing about but my dad recommended it to me

Eleanor looked up to her teacher worriedly, she was trying her best with the subject but no matter what she did it seemed to just keep getting more lost as the teacher went on. So of course after she had gotten her test back which was only a sixty eight percent she was of course asked to stay after school.

Nervously she sat down at the seat before gulping sadly.

“I know my grades are slipping…. I’m really trying ma’am….. I promise….” She apologized as she looked down to her lap.

"Please see me after class," she had said to the student that she'd been desperately not to look at too much. God forbid any of her other students noticed her...favoritism. She'd dismissed the class and made her way over to her desk, perching herself on the edge of it while she waited for the student to take the seat across from her that was clearly waiting for them.

MASTERPIECE PBS and Mammoth Screen have announced the remaining casting for its upcoming adaptation of The Forsyte Saga.

Fiona Button (The Split) plays Mrs. Clarissa Heron, Irene’s (Millie Gibson) stepmother and Tristan Sturrock (Poldark) plays Professor Heron, Irene’s father.

Justine Moore (Call the Midwife) plays June Forsyte, the 18-year-old daughter of Frances (Tuppence Middleton) and stepdaughter of Jolyon Forsyte (Danny Griffin).

Eleanor Jackson (The Royal Mob) is Winifred Forsyte, daughter of James (Jack Davenport) and wife of Monty (Tom Durant Pritchard). Naomi Frederick (Belgravia) plays Emily Forsyte, James’ wife.

Sharon Rose (Silent Witness) is Alicia Cole, wife of Jolyon’s best friend Isaac (Owen Igiehon).

They join the previously announced ensemble which includes Francesca Annis, Jack Davenport, Tom Durant Pritchard, Jamie Flatters, Millie Gibson, Danny Griffin, Susan Hampshire, Owen Igiehon, Tuppence Middleton, Stephen Moyer, Joshua Orpin, Josette Simon and Eleanor Tomlinson.

Jack Davenport (The Morning Show, Ten Percent) plays Ann’s competitive younger son James, with Joshua Orpin (Titans) as James’ shrewd and sometimes ruthless son Soames. Millie Gibson (Doctor Who) plays Irene, the dancer whom Soames falls in love with. Tom Durant Pritchard (This Is Going To Hurt) plays Monty Dartie, James’ son-in-law. Josette Simon OBE (Anatomy of a Scandal) is Mrs. Ellen Parker Barrington, a wealthy heiress and friend of the Forsyte family, with Jamie Flatters (Avatar: The Way Of Water) as architect Philip Bosinney and Owen Igiehon (Disclaimer) as lawyer Isaac Cole. Susan Hampshire OBE (star of the 1967 BBC Forsyte Saga for which she received the first of her three lead actress Emmys), plays Lady Carteret.

Planned as a lavish returning series, the first season of six episodes follows the lives and loves of the wealthy Forsyte family in 1880s London.

The Forsyte Saga is directed by Meenu Gaur (Murder Is Easy) and Annetta Laufer (Get Millie Black) and is produced by Sarah Lewis (The Long Shadow). Filming is currently underway in the UK and Venice, Italy. The executive producers are Sheena Bucktowonsing, Debbie Horsfield, Meenu Gaur and Damien Timmer for Mammoth Screen, part of ITV Studios, and Susanne Simpson for MASTERPIECE.

The first signs of a new remake of The Forsyte Saga appeared on production listings at the beginning of April 2024. While there had been rumors before about the series returning to television, the pre-production announcements were the first sign the project was getting off the ground, with Mammoth Productions most likely behind it. However, it was unclear if the show was a BBC series, an ITV series, or a series made for PBS or Masterpiece, or a combination thereof. But with filming now about to get underway, details are out, and Masterpiece is the one taking the lead on the project, with a stellar cast lined up to star.

The Forsyte Saga is considered the British period piece that allowed the WGBH folks to launch the Masterpiece anthology series as PBS launched nationwide. The series was first aired in the U.K. on the recently launched BBC 2 in 1967, a network most TV viewers did not have yet. It proved so popular that it was rerun on BBC One a few months later, making it technically the first show to make the jump from network to network due to rising ratings. The series then transferred to the U.S. and aired on local PBS stations across the country (which were at that point not under a national umbrella as yet) and proved a massive hit, bringing in numbers that beat out the "Big Three" networks of NBC, CBS, and ABC. Its success proved an appetite for the best of British programming, presaging Masterpiece's launch two years later.

It's now 55 years later, and though Masterpiece aired a new version in 2002, nowadays, it is no longer just an importer. The streaming wars have made it so that the anthology series must co-produce and sometimes take the lead on commissioning shows. The choice to make its own The Forsyte Saga is unsurprising, considering the show's history and its reputation, which means that it has pulled in quite an impressive cast.

One reason Masterpiece has taken charge of the project? This way it can dictate how many seasons there are and when it is renewed. Make no mistake, this is planned as a multi-season venture. Here's the series logline:

The next generation down features Danny Griffin (The Gentlemen) as Jolyon Sr.'s bohemian son Jo, Tuppence Middleton (Downton Abbey) as Jo’s status-driven wife Frances, and Eleanor Tomlinson (Poldark) plays Louisa Byrne, a Soho dressmaker and Jo’s first love. Joshua Orpin (Titans) plays James’ shrewd and sometimes ruthless son, Soames; Millie Gibson (Doctor Who) is Irene, the dancer whom Soames falls in love with, and Tom Durant Pritchard (Miss Scarlet) plays Monty Dartie, James’ son-in-law.

Outside of the titular family, Josette Simon (Broadchurch) will play Mrs. Ellen Parker Barrington, a wealthy heiress and friend of the Forsyte family; Jamie Flatters (Liar) is architect Philip Bosinney, Owen Igiehon (Disclaimer) plays lawyer Isaac Cole, and last (but certainly not least), OG 1967 The Forsyte Saga star Susan Hampshire OBE plays Lady Carteret.

Debbie Horsfield (Sanctuary: A Witch's Tale) will pen all six episodes, with directors Meenu Gaur (Murder Is Easy) and Annetta Laufer (Get Millie Black) splitting helming duties and Sarah Lewis (The Long Shadow) producing. Horsfield and Gaur executive produce along with Sheena Bucktowonsing, Damien Timmer for Mammoth Screen, and Susanne Simpson for Masterpiece. 

The Forsyte Saga Season 1 is expected to debut on most PBS stations in 2025.

Nell grew up wanting for nothing. Though her younger sister Elise got most of the attention, she didn’t lack affection or really anything she wanted. Seeing how that made Elise rotten, however, made Nell want to go the opposite way. She didn’t think having it all meant they could treat people like garbage. Though she was rather spoiled and a bit selfish herself, she did her best to keep these faults in check, often apologizing to her schoolmates for Elise’s behavior on her sister’s behalf.

Elise never wanted to work, so Nell threw herself into making up for the both of them, finding satisfaction in a job well done. She found she actually liked getting down and dirty in the outdoors, and after the paradox hit she joined the scouts and junior rangers, wanting to make a difference in town instead of sitting around and complaining like her sister did.

They couldn’t be more different, despite the mere ten month age difference, but Nell still loves her sister. She can’t help it. They’re family. However, she will not put up with Elise’s shenanigans and won’t sugarcoat her opinions about them either. Her sister is a brat, and she needs to know it. Otherwise, how else is she going to ever get better?
