one of the nastiest nastiest feelings is taking our shirt off and its not even because the body is human and afab and im a tabaxi tiger and amab, i have accepted that and i can look past it. i can cope with that, it doesnt bother me or any hosts or ex-hosts. what bothers me is the scars on our arm that come from a very harmful frequent fonter we had because i KNOW that the scars from him were preventable. i know we couldve stopped him. why the hell didnt we stop him from doing any of that? if we had known he had bad intentions and was doing all those bad things on purpose we wouldnt have let him front but he kept saying he was trying, he would be better, hes just anxious, hes depressed, he has bpd. so do the rest of us the body has those disorders you dont see me causing half the shit he did?? i hate him.
seperate rant/ramble: as i was typing this i heard either coyotes screaming outside, or i had an auditory hallucination. i hate this body and it's schizophrenia for a multitude of reasons which sends me on a new tangent ☝️🤓 i hate having schizophrenia because its often misdiagnosed as did (/srs) and we go "ohhh but maybe im faaaaking" i can garuntee you that the disassociative amnesia regarding our childhood may be a sign! and the very obvious shifts of personality, and also earlier today i had a fleeting thought that was something i wouldnt think and i thought it in the voice of one of my headmates. lo and behold he fronted without my noticing and neither of us know how long he was in front for.
on another note i hate hate hate having to self disgnose. our mother gets aggravated and has a borderline mental breakdown every single time one of us asks her why she thinks we are not autistic because to us and to other people with autism it is BLINDINGLY obvious, just as an example of why we need to self disgnose this much. schizophrenia, adhd, depression, anxiety, and various physical issues are all things we have been diagnosed with. we suspect autism, bpd, aspd, did, and dyslexia. we did not think about any of these disorders or about having them, and we knew nothing about them until friends with said disorders would talk about their experiences and vent about it and we went "oh no... oh no..." and then we had to go do vast amounts of research into them and overlapping disorders and just. so much research. and the autism part takes EVERYTHING literally and at face value so very often we will go "oh this cant be us! we dont have every single symptom!" and it is, in fact, us. we also fakeclaim ourselves when we hear stories about how bad these disorders can be and ours is never that bad. its bad enough to actually genuinely impact our life more often than not and the symptoms are very distressing when we notice them, but they arent as bad as they could be which to a lot of my headmates makes it very obvious that we do not have the disorders we very much do. it causes a lot of denial towards ourselves, we had looked into dyslexia and joking about having it for months but we never flat out said we have dyslexia until one of our managers straight up told someone "yeah we're dyslexic this losers are just in denial because we can send messages that are coherent. they think we are not dyslexic because we go back and correct any typos? doesnt make sense to me. the typos are still made, and we still miss a lot of words we need to correct very often. oh yes im aware theyre idiots." sometimes fakeclaimer logic is just so broken. we also have a lot of alters that have dyslexia in source memories and whenever they fromt our typing gets much worse which obviously means we don't actually have dyslexia OR did! /sarc. DID truely stands for dumb idiot disorder because i could spend a week listing times when our symptoms for all our disorders were very very prominant.

"In a society where mediocrity is too often the standard and too often rewarded, there is intense fascination with men who detest mediocrity, who refuse to define themselves in conventional terms, and who seek to transcend traditionally recognized human capabilities." -- The Commanding Officer's speech at the graduation of BUD/S Class 224
I've done a lot of thinking about fear, life goals, and what it means to take risks this week, as I've been chewing on thoughts about Ernest Becker's "The Denial of Death." As a quick rundown, Becker saw that mankind's aspiration to heroism was a kind of antidote to death. He saw most of what we do, our goals, our creature comforts, and more, as us trying to shield ourselves from the dread of death. And yet, we ironically trade one death for another. Heroes may die young, the comfortable office may stifle us, and so on.
One group of people that pop in my head when I think about facing death (even setting heroism aside) are folks who are special operators in the military. In the US, those are the SEALs, Rangers, Raiders, PJs, SRs, SARCs, and so on. Those folks are the epitome of "Everybody wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to die." In fact, I think it's one of the common sayings in some of those circles.
There is indeed intense fascination with people who achieve those things, who pass those training pipelines. When I think about it, those folks really meet death. Some people die in that training, either in the initial pipeline, before they even get to be that thing, or during routine parachute jumps or dives years later. From the same lens as Ernest Becker's philosophy, special operators are truly actively choosing their version of (potential) death. They're not letting life (or death) just happen to them. They are not being passive. They have to do a 4-mile run at 4am on a Monday? So be it. They have to hike 10-miles with 80 lbs. of gear just to start an operation? Roger that. These are all things that they "shouldn't" have to do in an ideal world. But this is not an ideal world, and death and discomfort are just a fact. These operators face it head on.
I'm thinking about what draws me and other people to these documentaries about operators and their stories. First of all, they just get shit done and they get it done better than the average person (and with humor and without complaint on top of that). They also have what can't be faked. They show with their body language that they can't be fazed, and I envy that. It's like they're aware of all of the bullshit excuses, but they just... didn't give in. Maybe they have their own excuses that they cave to in life. They're not perfect Adonises. But damn if they don't look like they've eschewed 95% of the bullshit that life throws at them and they just got shit done anyway. You can see it in their body language, how they spend their time. Shit is magnetic. (I am fanboying hardcore, I know.) There is something about how they face death and face their fears that I envy. They and I have all of the same excuses. I just accept the slow death of daily self disappointment and languishing, the death by 1000 paper cuts by not choosing and instead being passive. I don't know if that makes sense why the two talking points are related.

Y’all.
I saw a TikTok about childhood trauma & Complex PTSD that said “when you realize it was a pattern, not the truth” (about emotional ab*se)
& I kept thinking about it, like....¿are patterns not the path to the truth?
& then it hit me.
Autistic people learn social “rules” & cues/clues through patterns.
Which basically means we are easy to manipulate & confuse & gr**m for ab*se, especially as children.
One of the social “rules” that I internalized in high school (roughly 14-18yo) was it’s laughable to even think I’m/we’re likeable or loveable. & that it's normal for relationships to begin as “eh, why not” & your partner to just force whatever they want in the relationship (kisses, steps forward, future plans, s**, etc.) & not let you say no (&/or abandon you because you said no).
One of the social “rules” that I internalized in middle school (roughly 11-13yo) was “I have to earn the right to eat either by letting myself get used & ab*sed or by doing hard labor” (/srs). (thank you mother (/sarc))
((Note hard labor for us might not be for others - I'm talking hours of yard work, &/or doing the dishes, &/or moving our parents’ laundry, &/or walking the dog (even when we had a concussion), etc., but our body is disabled & chronically ill so those things are very difficult))
But that's the thing. It was a pattern /of ab*se/. Which doesn't make it true.
Healing patterns & learned social rules that resulted from trauma is a LOT more difficult for us (as a whole system) than healing the memories themselves & the experiences & the feelings/emotions.
It doesn't even matter if “it was just a joke”, even if we actually realize it's a joke (which we often don't). Even jokes get internalized as a social rule one way or another - either as, “it's okay for people to joke about [trauma I'm sensitive about; situation I felt uncomfortable/unsafe in; my worth (insults); etc.]” or as “this is true”. (Example, our parents joke about “I got you on sale at Kmart and I want a refund”, since we were 7. Even after we figured out it was a joke...it began as “I have no worth and am not even worth less than full price” (literal interpretation of it, it's not a joke) & after finding out became “it's okay to joke about me being worthless”...because we had no way to escape or fight back & it was a pattern so it got normalized.)
It's not about “being too sensitive”. My brain is built to internalize patterns & interpret them as rules. & until we realize that, there's only so much we can do to stop it or heal it. Even now, it's gonna be difficult.
So for any fellow autistics out there...
if you were exposed to manipulative &/or ab*sive patterns, please know it was just a pattern. It's not a rule. 🥺💚 (/concerned)
(/srs, genuine, gentle, hopefully reassuring)

This is just getting insanely stupid.—
This is my personal take on it, think of the guy what you will. You think he’s a fucking natzi? ( toby ) Well just terrific, gaslighting you? Wow! Great. /sarc
honestly. I feel like this is spiralling way out of control, I believe people can think as they please but if you take things one or two step too far ahead and go say things such as calling his character a literal natzi for a fucking gas mask-jfc man please for the love of whatever you may believe in go take a break off of tumblr or any other social media and BREATH some fresh air in. Take a moment to think, please.
Wade done some questionable and stupid shit, I’m not standing for that. Neither am I implying "the stress is making him do this!! So it’s okay!!”, but I genuinely believe people should be hold accountable for things they’ve done and things that are proven, not random shit like "natzi bc gask mask!!!" or the other stupid things people from the fandom suddenly decided to throw into the mixing pot that is this drama of Wade and Toby.
Lastly-I hate the fact people are attacking or getting upset with other creators on tumblr who have different views to this? Unless the view is genuinely wrong and is problematic you should let people be. If it happens to be problematic educate them on the problem and what might be wrong about the things they’re sharing. /lu /srs
Wade done stupid ass shit, he’s not a good person either in my belief. hold him accountable for that but not random things you make up on spot because then it ends up as a way more messy situation—don’t stir the mixing pot of drama or els you confuse others who are not filled in on everything properly making this even worse-(not directed at you, just people who are saying he’s a natzi and gaslighting and such :]) /lu
Exactly. Holding him accountable for harassment, yes. Stirring up shit because you're mad? Petty and bad.
The only thing i can say about Wade soildily is that he's confusing as fuck. I have no idea what his deal is ever so I simply ignore him. Think what you will but man, acting like a 9th grader like this is nasty. Get it together.
#ticci toby#creepypasta#this is articulate so hi main tag youre annoyinh#dumbly agreeing with anons without proof makes you unpog#tip - when a post starts a rumor#delete it

okay so the lovely @imbicilite / @whitrph and i were talking and it gave me the idea and we thought it was a great idea to spread it around so here’s how it goes: when talking with someone about pretty much anything tbh, but especially for something that could potentially be triggering, communicate with color codes based on city traffic lights ! GREEN means it’s good to talk about these things and you’re not feeling triggered by the topic, YELLOW means to slow down or stop talking about the topic at for now while RED means to stop the conversation about the topic immediately until green again where the conversation can divert into another topic or they feel safe to talk about it again !! this is EXTREMELY important, because it’s a way to alert others that you’re going to be talking about something that could possibly upset someone because of the subject matter, especially for those who may get triggered by a certain topic - even without you realizing it because squicks and triggers can honestly be anything, it could be different words or phrases or certain topics - and can cause severe anxiety in those affected, even panic attacks or flashbacks, and because we want to be considerate and respectful towards one another, it’s important that we use these to help our friends and fellow rpers know that we’re going to be posting or talking about something they might not want to see or talk about, and it’s of utmost importance to make them feel safe, it’s best to use this to be a more supportive friend and a member of the rpc!!
on a sidenote, i’m also here to tell you about tone indicators !! keep in mind that i didn’t come up with nor invent the concept of tone tags itself, but it was being spread around for a while now and i’d figured i’d talk about it !! essentially, tone indicators are used to indicate if the person is joking, being serious, etc., neurodivergent people often have trouble conveying and understanding emotion and tone through written text, using tone indicators is really helpful for neurodivergent people to make it easier for them to read/convey, it is also very helpful for people with anxiety. i encourage anyone who reads this to also type the meaning of the tone tag ( i.e: i love you !! /p for platonic ), so it is more accessible for neurodivergent and disabled people, like those who use screen readers.
“why should we use tone tags?” one might ask, but as an autistic, disabled and otherwise neurodivergent person myself, sometimes i don’t always get my friends and fellow mutual’s tones by their message but when they use tone indicators, it helps me understand and, not to mention that it can be really helpful and avoid misunderstandings. i would also like to note that NOT ALL neurodivergent people want you to use tone indicators on them, so if they don’t want you to use tone tags on them, please respect their wishes.
“i don’t like tone tags!” one might add, well, okay... but don’t make fun of the people that use them, it’s not a big deal, and if you’re a neurotypical who insists on not using tone tags when a neurodivergent person clearly asked you to, get your head out of your ass.
“using /j at the end of a joke ruins it!!” one might bitch, and okay but... it might be ruined for you, but it still makes me laugh, personally, so please try and get used to it, and not to mention, what’s more important: making sure you’re clear with your tone so that there’s no misunderstandings or throwing a fit just because the joke’s ruined for you?
additionally, some other things to keep in mind !! please do not mock the use of tone tags, you may not need them but some people do, not everyone can tell when something is a joke, when someone’s either being platonic, romantic or sexual in intentions, etc.,, especially when there’s no visual cues or tones of voice to help us, just be nice about it, it’s... really not hard, man. if you don’t use a tone tag and someone reads the tone of your statement incorrectly, do not get upset with them or laugh at them for not getting it - that is perpetuating ableism and/or sanism, whether you intentionally intend it or not. just kindly clarify and next time, keep in mind that tone tags are very helpful for neurodivergent, disabled and people with anxiety disorders. using a tone tag isn’t an excuse to be mean either, you can’t just say something mean or not cool and then put /j ( “joking” ) after it to get away with it, don’t be an ass. if you’re saying something that could be anxiety inducing for others, i would highly recommend putting the tone tags at not only the end but also the beginning of that post. do not intentionally use tone tags incorrectly “as a joke”, to confuse people, etc., the entire point of tone tags is to clarify, not confuse people, if you intentionally use them incorrectly, you’re an ass. keep in mind that no one has to use all the tone tags, use what you’d like, respect others who use what they would like, use them however feels rights to you. for me personally, sometimes i use multiple, sometimes only one, or sometimes none at all, just do what feels right, depending on who i’m talking to and how long i’ve known this person or group of people i’m speaking to, it’ll be fine, and if someone asks for clarification on what you mean, that’s okay, kindly clarify for them. additionally, please be patient if people don’t know what tone tags are, someone might not even be aware of what they are and that’s not their fault, just patiently explain it to them or link them to a source !! education always helps !! please don’t use “/srs or serious” as a joke, some neurodivergent and/or disabled people don’t need you to use three tone tags, and in my case, i’m presuming you’re neurotypical if you’re doing that when conversing with me, but what i’m trying to say is it looks like you’re babying us neurodivergents / disabled folx, so try to use only two tags ( that is, if that person is okay with it !! ), because some people don’t need you to use three tags.
please note that the following aren’t every single example out there and there are different terminologies in different languages, but they are important, a few examples of these are:
“/j = joking / used when saying something in a joking manner, “so im pretty much the president of oreos /j”,
“/hj = half joking / used when saying something that’s kind of a joke but kind of serious / “well,,,,, im usually right /hj” /
“/s or /sarc / refers to the opposite of what you really want to say / “i just [clenches fists] love...... being sad..... /s”,
“/srs / used when saying something you really mean / “i really appreciate you /srs””,
“/nsrs = not serious / used when saying something not too seriously / “you’re the worst /nsrs”,
“/lh = lighthearted = used when something’s said lightheartedly / “hEY LEAVE ME OUT OF THIS /lh” / i’d say something like this when me and my friends would get into a silly argument and they’re trying to ask my opinion on a topic”,
“/ij = referring to something that’s only understood by people with special knowledge about something, typically only a small group of friends or a group of people would be aware of, those outside of the group would most likely be confused by it or not find it funny in the same way people within in the group would / “aAAAAAAAAA MY NUGGIES!!!!! /ij””,
“/ref = a reference to media, usually movies, tv, music, etc., “yOU SHALL NOT PAAAAAAAASSSSSSS /ref”,
“/t = teasing, use when teasing someone or provoking someone, often playfully, “aiight sure mx idk wtf im doin /t”,
“nm = not mad, to indicate you’re not actually mad or upset about something / “ow... i felt that /nm”,
“lu = a little upset / used when about about something or someone, but not too upset / “oh... that sucks /lu”,
“/nbh = “nobody here” = often used when talking about something vague to ensure your friends it’s not indirectly to or about them / “sometimes i just wanna..... tell someone to shut the fuck up /nbh”,
“/nay = not at you / used when saying something but not meaning it at the person you’re responding to / “god i can’t stand lame people /nay”,
“/ay = “at you”, make the person aware you’re addressing them”,
“/g or /gen = used when saying or asking something for real / “i’m proud of you /g” or “have you watched the news?? /gen”,
“/th = threat, used when giving a genuine threat / “if you don’t stop, i’ll block you /th”,
“/p = platonic, a friendship type of love, used when saying something with platonic intentions / “i love you /p”,
“/r = romantic intentions, typically of partners when saying something with romantic intentions / “i love you /r””,
“/a = alterous, an attraction best described as wanting emotional closeness without necessarily being at all or entirely platonic and/or romantic, used when saying with alterous intentions / “i love you /a””
“/m = metaphor / used when saying something metaphorically / “god you’re a shining star /m””
“/li = literal / used when saying something literally / “i hate pears /li””
“/rh = rhetorical / a question asked in order to create a dramatic effect or to make a point rather than to get an answer / used when saying or asking something rhetorically / “who cares? /rh””
“/hyp = hyperbole, exaggerated statements or claims not meant to be taken literally ; “i have a million things to do today”
“/sx = sexual intent, used when meaning something in a sexual way”,
“/nsx = nonsexual intent, used when meaning something in a not sexual way”,
“/pos = positive / used when saying something and meaning it in a positive way / “omg im gonna cry /pos”, implied they’re crying for a happy reason”,
“/neg = negative / used when saying something and meaning it in a negative way / “omg im gonna cry /neg”, implied they’re crying for an upsetting reason”, and
“/neu = neutral / used to show that what you’re saying is neutral or that you feel indifferent about it / “yeah i don’t care man do what you want /neu”, you don’t care about something but not in a mean or a negative way, you’re just indifferent”.
on a final note, HERE is a list of tone tags both in english and in other languages ( namely italian, spanish, portuguese, french, polish, german, lithuanian, serbian, dutch, indonesian, romanian, bulgarian, russian, hebrew, japanese, mandarin and korean !! ) and HERE are the list of sources about the content of tone tags !! i wish everyone reading this a lovely day !!
