Increasingly overshadowed by her boyfriend's recent rise to fame as a contemporary artist creating sculptures from stolen furniture, Signe hatches a vicious plan to reclaim her rightfully deserved attention within the milieu of Oslo's cultural elite.

Darkly humurous, very dark. The things people do today to get to the centre of attention.

It's hard to say why Signe and Thomas are together. But the two clearly deserve each other.

Since I don't care about such people, and in this case are easy to make fun of, I didn't really enjoy it. But I found it at least more watchable than the two movies for which for some reason Ruben Östlund won Golden Palms for.

Anders Danielsen Lie cameo as a doctor, delivering the results of the CT scan, was a funny highlight. With the side effect that I found out afterwards that Danielsen Lie actually is a practicing doctor.

"Sick of Myself" ist eine Tragikomödie von Kristoffer Borgli mit Kristine Kujath Thorp, Eirik Sæther, Fanny Vaager und Fredrik Stenberg Ditlev-Simonsen.

Signe (Kristine Kujath Thorp) und Thomas (Eirik Sæther) führen eine ungesunde Beziehung. Statt ein Liebespaar zu sein, stehen sie eher in Konkurrenz zueinander und versuchen sich ständig gegenseitig zu übertrumpfen. Daher freut es Signe wenig, als Thomas als Künstler endlich die mehr Aufmerksamkeit bekommt, die er verdient. Sie findet jedoch eine schnelle Lösung in dubiosen, russischen Pillen, die als Nebenwirkung seltsame Hautirritationen auslösen. Signe (Kristine Kujath Thorp) nimmt gleich eine ganze Packung davon und hat im Anschluss Geschwüre am ganzen Körper.

Der Plan geht auf. Signe wird mit Mitleid überhäuft, die Medien sprechen über eine mysteriöse Krankheit, die sie befallen haben soll und sogar Thomas weicht nicht mehr von ihrer Seite. Die Geschichte puscht sich jedoch so hinauf, dass Signe droht aus dem Schlamassel nicht mehr herauszukommen. Am Ende droht dem Ganzen ein immer böser werdender Verlauf.
