I had to get a little self indulgent this time around introducing my personal redesign of a sonic boom/ revamp of Eggette/Omlette!

Is she biologically theirs? Fanchild miracle baby? Adopted? Vaguely related some way which will never be explained? up to you! I just wanted to hop on the train of giving stobotnik a kid bc they'd make the best evil gay dads EVER.

I also headcannoned her name as Zara Robotik because it sounded both Arabic and Slavic/Russian like Stone and Robotnik's names plus it's just adorable, and my hc voice for her is Lara Jill Miller aka Fink from Ok KO because I thought it was fitting for her smarmy little self.

Trust me when I say this is NOT the last you'll see of this little lady, she was way too much fun to design so she'll be making appearances here and there among my other stobotnik art.

Ever since I first saw Valon design i always had the dumbest problem with it: His clothes kinda look like the stuff that Eggman from Sonic the Hedgehog wears? They are a darker shade of red but they have a lot of similar elements, I dunno, plus the pointy hair makes me think of him being a teenager version of Eggman, or his son

(also making this post made me realize Eggman's mustache is brown a lot of times?? I thought it was always orange... This weirdly helps with my hangup with Valon's design)

the fact he reminds me too of that Sonic OC that people drew fanart some years ago, Eggette/Omelette also does not help

When I attempt to search for Eggman fanart, I get:

30% Eggman/Sage fatherly bonding 30% Snapcube references 20% gender bend Eggman 15% Eggette 5% actual in-character Eggman

The uwu-ification of fandom is seen most potently with the pussification of characters like Eggman, who are absolute demonic monsters and yet fanart depicts him as a fucking teddy bear and it's absolutely disgusting. But it's really just a clownshow all the way down and it effects every single character in a way that is impossible to find anything but aggravating.

Like I swear if you just go off of fanart, Tails is a literal god damn hamster who just sits in a box drinking from a juice box all day. All day every day all I see is garbage posts of "THEY'RE BROTHERS YOUR HONOR" and "LOL MINTS AMIRITE?" and it's like. I dunno. That's not my mental image of Tails.

To me Tails is a badass. An inspiration. An icon to look up to.

When I see this uwu-ified fanart of him, it just feels like people are looking down on him instead. And I'm not okay with it.

To be honest, over the discourse I had been seeing about Sage & Eggette going around, I honestly think the two could get along as something like siblings kinda?

I mean, Eggette and Sage are like, two halves of a whole with their personalities as Eggette is outgoing and Sage is calm.

So what if Eggette is made by the fandom and Sage is canon? I want to have fun with this idea, daggone it!
