when do you consider a bunch of parts to be one object/creature instead of a bunch of little creatures? like a lot of people consider a computer to be one being but it's made up of multiple objects (drivers, chips, wires, ect.), at what point does it become a collective?

i got thinking on this at work today because i was thinking about the bar and how i consider her one being, but then realized i thought of many of the things in her as creatures too, like her efpos machines.

maybe its like humans with cells yknow? like as a collective i am one being but i am made of so many living organisms working in harmony.

नई दिल्ली : कर्मचारी भविष्य निधि संगठन ने अब अपने सब्सक्राइबर्स अब रहत देने जा रही है | EPFO ने अब संशोधन किया है की अब ग्राहक अपने आधार कार्ड के जरिए भी अपने Provident Fund अकाउंट में दर्ज जन्मतिथि को दुरुस्त करा सकेंगे।जिससे पीएफ खाताधारकों को ऑनलाइन केवाइसी कराने में मदद मिलेगी। श्रम मंत्रालय ने रविवार को यह जानकारी दी। मंत्रालय ने एक बयान जारी कर कहा, ”COVID-19 महामारी के समय ऑनलाइन सेवाओं की पहुंच और उपलब्धता सुनिश्चित करने के लिए Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation ने पीएफ मेंबर्स को ईपीएफओ रिकॉर्ड्स में जन्मतिथि में सुधार में मदद के लिए फील्ड ऑफिसर्स को संशोधित दिशा-निर्देश जारी किए हैं। इससे उनके UAN की केवाइसी में आसानी होगी।

श्रम मंत्रालय की ओर से जारी बयान में कहा गया है कि पीएफ खाता में दर्ज जन्मतिथि में सुधार के लिए आधार कार्ड स्वीकार किया जा सकता है। हालांकि, पीएफ अकाउंट में दर्ज जन्मतिथि एवं आधार में दर्ज जन्म की तारीख में तीन साल से ज्यादा का अंतर नहीं होना चाहिए।

PF खाताधारक जन्मतिथि में सुधार के लिए ऑनलाइन आवेदन कर सकते हैं। विभाग ने कहा है कि इससे EPFO अपने सब्सक्राइबर की ओर से दी गई जानकारी को तत्काल UIDAI से सत्यापित कर लेगा। यह पूरी प्रक्रिया ऑनलाइन होगी। इससे जन्मतिथि में बदलाव में लगने वाले समय में कमी आएगी।

इससे पहले EPFO ने अपने सब्सक्राइबर्स को कोविड-19 की वजह से तीन माह की बेसिक सैलरी और महंगाई भत्ता नॉन-रिफंडेबल एडवांस के रूप में निकालने की अनुमति दे दी थी। हालांकि, यह सुविधा ऐसे पीएफ सब्सक्राइबर्स के लिए है, जिनका केवाइसी पूरा है। अब इस फैसले से ऐसे पीएफ सब्सक्राइबर्स को अपने अकाउंट का केवाइसी कराने में मदद मिलेगी, जिन्हें जन्मतिथि में सुधार करवाना है।

Got told today that we now have to wipe down the counters, conveyor belt, bag racks and the EFPOS machine after Every Single Customer. While I don't have a huge problem with it, the customers sure fuckin do. Don't get shitty with me because I need to wipe everything down, and quit putting your shit on the counter before I can wipe it!! Yes I can see you're in line so just wait three fuckin seconds so I can at LEAST clean the bench before you dump your definitely not essential items down. Fuck

Our EFPOS machines are so fucky. Today ALONE it shit down three times during a transaction and I had to reset the system, and then it wouldn't send a reversal on a cancelled $100 cash out transaction that occurs before it crashed for the 4th time. But apparently there's Nothing Wrong With Them. Man, it doesn't work for tap 50% of the time and keeps shiting itself, and you consider THAT to be workable?? Sheesh
