sissejuhatuseks

blogimõte on juba ammusest ajast, kuid nüüd, kus esimese koolipäevani on kaks nädalat(!!), on üsna paslik alustada ka siinse kirjutamisega.  Lähen Turku 2022. kevadsemestriks vahetusse oma kodukoolist TÜ Viljandi kultuuriakadeemiast. Tahtsin tegelikult juba selleks sügiseks, kuid 1) ülemaailmne pandeemia ja 2) kool ei võtnud vastu kah. :D 

TUAS (Turku Ammattikorkeakoulu) on üks kõrgkoolidest Turu linnas. Mina lähen Kunstiakadeemia osakonda ning täpsemalt võeti mind vastu filmi-meedia aladele. Hetkel lepinguid vormistades tundub, et kõik tehtavad ained (mida tundub tulevat 26 EAP-d) lähevad hilisemas arvestuses vabaaineteks, aga sellest pole hullu: mul oleks muidu viimane semester ja õppekava on pea läbitud. Nüüd pikeneb tänu Erasmusele õppe nominaalaeg ja aasta pärast saan (ju vist) siinsamas Viljandis veel viimseid lihve oma akadeemiaõpingutele anda. :) 

Ei tahtnud enne postitada, kui oma tulevase elukoha lepingu allkirjastan ning täna saabki see tehtud. Hakkan elama Eerikinkatu/Eriksgatan 27-l. Ilus nimi, ilus number - peaks õnne tooma. Koolimajast Linnankatu tänaval, kus mina aega hakkan veetma, on ta alla 2km kaugusel. Võtan ratta ka, äkki tuleb kunagi harrastatud talvine sõiduharjumus tagasi :) Aga võib-olla olen siin Viljandis oma jalad jalutamisega nii ära treeninud, et raatsin uues võõras linnas ka selle vahemaa vaid tatsates läbida.

Usun, et kohale jõudes on mul rohkem jagada. Praegu on selline periood, kus peab kolmepoolseid lepinguid sõlmima ja hoidma pöidlaid, et pandeemia tõttu kogu koolitöö (taas) netti ei koliks. Kavatsen soome keele ära õppida ja tegelen sellega juba duolingo vahendusel (bless this app).  Vist vist vist saan oma mentoriks ühe oma lemmikanimatsiooni autori (nime kirjutan siis, kui selgub, et ongi tema!)! 

Nüüd aga tegelen veel viimaseid päevi Viljandist välja kolimisega. Täitsa raske on, siin on kolme ja poole aastaga olemine nii õdusaks muutunud, et noh... muutused ongi keerukad.

Sivilisaatiomme on pääsemässä yhä lähemmäksi avaruusmatkailun aikaa, suunnittelee kolonisoivansa Marsin ja matkaavansa jopa pidemmälle. Samaan aikaan kehitys geeniteknologiassa sallii luoda elämää laboratorioissa. Ja kehitys muilla aloilla kuten tekoälyssä muuttaa maailmaamme myös merkittävästi. Mitkä ovat tällaisen kehityksen implikaatiot mitä tulee uskontoihin, talouteen, tieteeseen ja yhteiskuntaan? Muutummeko me itse ”luojiksi”?

Kaikki tämä tapahtuu vain 100 vuotta ensimmäisestä lentokoneesta. Mitä voimme odottaa seuraavien 20, 50 tai 100 vuoden aikana?

Toistaako historia itseään? Mitä jos ”jumalat” ja enkelit ennen muinoin olivatkin, itse asiassa, avaruusolentoja jotka ”tulivat taivaista”? Ihmiskunnan historia on täynnänsä kertomuksia tapamisista näiden olentojen kanssa.

Merkkejä on joka puolella ympärillämme, jos me vain katsomme avoimin mielin muinaisia kirjoituksia, seuraamme tieteen viimeisimpiä kehityskaaria ja kuuntelemme tuhansia UFO-raportteja ympäri maailman.

Joulukuun 13. päivänä 1973 Rael kohtasi ihmisolennon toisesta aurinkokunnasta. tämä olento selitti, että hänen sivilisaationsa on vieraillut maapallolla tuhansia vuosia, ja nyt, kiitos tieteellisen kehityksemme, on tullut aika jolloin voimme myös itse ymmärtää, sen sijaan että sokeasti uskoisimme.

Tervetuloa kuulemaan tätä vallankumouksellista viestiä, täynnä viisautta, joka koskettaa monia elämän, yhteiskunnan, tieteen sekä mahdollisen tulevaisuutemme osa-alueita.

Hey! Are there any other cool places in Helsinki that you like?

Fratello Torrefazione is Italian cafe which makes awesome ice cream, also vegan. Their lunches are pretty often sold out during lunch hour. You’ll find it from Kluuvi shopping mall.

G´lato Fresco Artiaco is an Italian ice cream bar with the best ice cream you can find in whole Helsinki! Everything is hand made at the store, also with vegan options. You can find it from Forum shopping mall at the central.

Next to Fratello in Kluuvi mall there’s tea shop Chaya with awesome tea collection! You can freely sniff the samples and they offer 100g and 30g bags of all their teas. Try out their Cactus Fig or Scottish Puh Er teas!

KakkuGalleria is an all you can eat cake buffet! Pay for your drink and cakes and eat as much cake as you ever can, without any time limit! Cheesecakes, tarts, pies, mousse cakes... They have lactose free, gluten free and vegan options, at least one, every time at hand. Their buffet prices range from 12 to 15 euro depending what you want to drink. KakkuGalleria is at Fredrikinkatu 41.

Steam Hellsinki is Finland’s only steampunk themed bar. It opens at 4pm and during Monday-Thursday it is very quiet and peaceful all the way till 9pm, so it’s a perfect place to sit down for a while. I come here whenever I need to meet someone because it’s so peaceful and right in the central. On the weekends it’s always packed full. They offer regular tea and cafe and alcohol-free mocktails, and a teapot for 2 people costs only 3 euro. Their specialty is gin. Steam Hellsinki is next to Kamppi shopping mall, at Olavinkatu 1.

Théhuone is tea shop with cafe specialized in Asian teas. You can order a tea ceremony from them. They offer small things for eating and also matcha chocolate, mactha latte and matcha. Théhuone is in central, at Eerikinkatu 10.

Teemaa is a smaller tea shop with a few seats, specialized in Chinese teas, ran by a lovely Chinese lady. They have the cheapest real matcha available (3,5 euro compared to Théhuone’s 7 euro matcha cup). It’s very comfortable and you always get some extra tea samples for tasting. Teemaa is at Annakatu 19, near Old Church Park (also known as Plague park with some graves still intact there).

The Ounce is a Russian tea store with a cafe, specialized in flavored teas. Their selection is high in quality and their Irish Whiskey Tea is one of the best black teas I have ever had. Very classic place and feels like you’d travel back in time to 19th century! Try out their Romeo & Juliet, Sumuinen Saari (Misty Island), Creme Brule, Irish Whiskey, Kiinalaisen Rakastajan Unelma (The Dream of The Chinese Lover) and Bengalin Tiikeri (Bengali Tiger) teas.The Ounce is at Fredrikinkatu 55

Next door to The Ounce is Helsinki’s Cat Cafe Helkatti! :3c

Manga, anime, game and comic fans should head to Fantasiapelit at central at Mannerheimintie 3. Note that manga and comics are rarely translated in Finnish, so 95% of their selection is in English.

In Germany almost all dm or Rossmann (a type of store where you get soap and hair products but also vitamins and all that stuff) have a photo service where you can either insta-print photos or order in their lab. I haven't seen something like that in Finland yet
