sectranza beauty and the beast au,
have i posted about this before idk. I've definitely thought about it before though anyways
I haven't seen beauty and the beast for like years upon years but i think i know the basic plot
- Taranza before the curse works as Sectonia's main assistant and best (read only) friend, they have a small mutual crush on each other but it doesn't go further than that because they are both so far in denial that it would ever work out
- Around the time the curse happens Taranza is out of the house doing chores somewhere? Maybe visiting some of his friends in the village? But then the curse happens and he forgets about his job and Sectonia overall....
He goes to Dedede for help (I guess he's like the village mayor in this au or something), he and dedede remember that he had a job but they just cannot remember what it was at all (...because magic) so Dedede lets him stay somewhere and probably gives him a job at the local library or something...
- On the other hand, Sectonia gets cursed by something..? ( I don't really have a clear idea for this part? It would probably have something to do with her vanity ig? not sure how it would go since pre-corruption Sectonia isn't really a horrible person...)
Anyways idea is Sectonia gets cursed into wasp form which is obviously bad and horrible for her since she is forced into this situation. Also, nothing feels right anymore, she feels too big, too heavy, she can't fly even if she has wings as a wasp, because she doesn't know how. She's basically freaking out big time. ( Not sure how the house curse would work, maybe all the servants are turned into big insects instead of furniture and stuff? )
So yeah that happened.
- People from the village start looking into the random big house that they don't remember being there at all and of course are scared of the big wasp lady thats just living there (who is by the way not mentally well since all her servants avoid her, leaving her isolated, and isolation does not do well for the mental health.)
- Main idea is that Dedede gets kidnapped and Taranza, who feels he owes Dedede a debt for all he's done for him, goes to get him back. This leads him to the house and consequently to Sectonia, who at this rate is probably angry and bitter etc etc. from loneliness and you know being cursed into a big wasp...
Honestly, I think it would put more angst if Taranza actually sees Sectonia as a monster when he first gets there, like he has a weapon of some sort and attacks Sectonia with it because I mean, I probably would too if there were rumors of monsters living in a house and said monster was real. (Plus if there's a scene where Sectonia is like "Taranza...?" and then he just hits her and then she feels betrayed and gets mad and runs after him its so aaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAA)
Same thing plays out as the original Taranza gives up himself for Dedede's freedom and gets stuck in the house, except there's another motive behind it, the house and Sectonia herself feel... familiar to him, he doesn't know why but he thinks that his missing memories are linked to this place....
And then blah blah blah romance stuff blah blah blah Taranza gets closer with Sectonia again and makes her believe that maybe even if she is seen as a monster she doesn't need to play into that role.
Scene where Taranza discovers Sectonia playing music on some instrument ig, he's intrigued since he also plays music in his free time, they play together and its cute and they play a song from before the curse and Taranza feels like he knows it before and they play it very well together first try because it links back to before the curse and they still remember it together and its cute and happy and incredible.
And that's all I got rn, I know there's more in the movie and stuff but im not sure how to incorporate it because
1) I don't remember the movie- I remember that there's a flower or something?
2) not sure who the other characters would even be. like who. Who is Gaston, tbh you probably don't need anyone to play him as much as you just need the village to hate the person in the beast role... (Once again I haven't seen the movie in YEARS like actual years I probably watched it once as a child.)
EDIT : I FORGOT TO MENTION EVERYONE IN THIS AU WOULD BE HUMAN EXCEPT SECTONIA WHEN SHE GETS CURSED... for obvious reasons cause i don't think 1 humanoid wasp would get the "ooo scary monster" reaction from a town composed of other strange creatures
#sage speaks#kirby posting#blorbo posting#long post#is got a read more but still#sectaranza#thats the only tag this is getting this is not getting main tagged#its so long im so so sorrry#this is also pure cringe yikes#also i don't remember the movie well but i had the idea and i went crazy#eeee uh yeah bye bye#muted this because i think i blacked out and wrote half of this#eeeeaaaa

OH DANA, you never fail to feed us so well ive gobbled everything up!!!! Namjoon moments, new domestic Jimin activities, OUR HOBI TRYING TO TALK US DOWN FROM THE LEDGE. like nice try babes but I wouldn't want to just take what that ghost said to me either, boutta throw hands with the entities. Sure they can call me a wh*re but mama didn't raise a COWARD. I'd also want to exorsice them out of pure spite (and for the safety of the family I guess) 😤 (also another hobi scenting scene? Yeah. Hot)
The second investigation was so cool and terrifying to read as well. My jaw dropped when I read the line saying we didn't notice our incense stick running out and the shadows around our ghost buster team. I was thoroughly spooked. However that got us JUNGKOOK TAT & PIERCING REVEAL! JUNGKOOK TAT & PIERCING REVEAL! I love bonding with our boys and looking respectfully.
HYBRID RIGHTS! HYBRID RIGHTS!!! WOOOOOO 🎉🎉🎉 loved the return of y/n's parents im forever in awe of the way you write the supporting characters as well. I really care for everyone in the trouville verse immensely. I like the intro of more opportunities for our boys as well with advancing hybrid rights! Really interested to see where this will go. (Considering our growing codependency to our hybrids im looking forward to different yearning opportunities lol)
Regarding the ending...
WE FUMBLED THE BAG SO HARD 😫 WHY AM I ACTUALLY UPSET ABOUT THIS WEEKS ENDING? I'm y/n fr fr my heart took a deep plunge into icy cold waters of REJECTION. Bestie really said you snooze you lose and WE LOST SO BAD. HOW WILL WE RECOVER???? 😫😭
( also I went back to read some asks on the blog and turns out there has been a new 🍒anon while I was gone, so I will now be signing off as 🧡anon! To avoid confusion for me lol)
-🧡
EEEE STOPPP THANK YOU 🥺🥺🥺 Honestly you guys feed me just as well when we chat about the story together, too 💕💕
You're so so soooo right about wanting to throw hands with the ghosts. Like first you corner me in a bedroom, call me a whore, then you have the balls to hurt one of the hybrids I love??? BYE! I'd be up in that house with holy oil, spell candles, and a goddamn sword on fire if I were Y/N!!!
Defff was time for another scenting, especially one from a hybrid she's not already romantically involved with! I like that it was a more tender, romantic moment between her and Hoseok, which things between the two of them have been pretty bestie/platonic aside from a few instances here and there. V HOT!
OOO I know like that was the first UH OH moment, when she forgot to light another stick of incense! She must have been so distracted by trying to protect Jeongguk and Namjoon from the shadows that she didn't notice it went out. But YEEEEEEEE GOTH JEONGGUK TATS! AND PIERCINGS!!! MY OBSESSION!!!! She also was NAWT looking respectfully 💀
WOOOOOOO HYBRID RIGHTS FUCKING FINALLY!!!!!!! AND stop 😭😭😭😭 I'm so happy you like the supporting characters, and not just the mains, it's important for Y/N to have others to lean on, not just her hybrids. I also love her mother's Jamie Lee Curtis vibes 🥰 I def think that a handful of the hybrids will either seek some kind of employment or maybe check out a uni class, Jimin and Hoseok in particular. I mean seriously, Jimin can't hang out with horses FOREVER 💀
fjkdaslfhasf IM KNOWN FOR THE MADDENING ENDINGS IM SORRYYY 💀 No seriously though that betrayal is gonna be brutal for her. I imagine Taehyung still feels a little betrayed that she hid her relationship with Yoongi from her, but like what was she supposed to do--- sit him down and go heyyyy I love Yoongi is that alright with you? Like imagine that conversation 💀 We WILL recover though I swear!!! Need some angst and obstacles to make everything more satisfying in the end 😉
OOP I'm sorry about the anon mixup lovebug!!! I love the orange heart too, though, so welcome back to our corner of Tumblr and sending you love 💜

The Bobcat
Pairing: Jacob x reader
Reader is in the bobcats, they meet Jacob when they are setting up some traps for the zombies after Hana sends him to find them.
You had left the bobcats camp a few hours ago in order to find parts to make traps for your base to protect it from hordes, even temporarily.
You hadn’t told Hana but you knew you wouldn’t be long..well that’s what you thought originally.
It had been hours and you had got caught up in fixing up the traps and decided to test them when you heard;
“Hey”
You turn around and see a man run towards you with a weapon in hand.
You get up “um,hi, who are you?”
“I’m Jacob, Hana called me because she was missing one of her other ‘companions” Jacob said.
“Yeah well I wasn’t supposed to be gone for that long but I got caught up and..yeah, time just kind of slipped by me” you said.
Studying Jacob you look him in the eyes and immediately thought he was quite handsome. He may have been a couple years older by the looks of it but he seemed really cool.
“Yeah it’s all good, so what are you doing?” His strong British accent came through.
“Oh..uh um..i was making traps for the bobcats base, I haven’t had the chance to test it out yet since I just finished” you say
“If you would like, we can reset out your traps now and we can kill any zom’s that are left”
“I like it”
He helped you finish setting up your trap and you and him stood away from it.
“Here we go” some zombies came and immediately running into your trap and dying, flying everywhere.
“Ho ho ho” Jacob said as he watched your trap work it’s magic.
Only a few zombies got past so you and Jacob decided to take half and half. You both slowly take them down one by one until they were all a pile of bodies at your feet.
“Well that was fun while it lasted” you say putting your weapon back in its holster.
“I agree” Jacob said
“Thanks for your help Jacob”
“ it was kinda a fun to be fair, now as much as I did enjoy this date I have to get going and you..know where your going anyway”
You look at him “a date? Well this isn’t what I picture a date to be like, usually I think of dinner, movie, watching a sunset”
Jacob smiles “you know what, I think we should have another date some other time, a proper one, trust me I’ll make it worth your while”
“Jacob I don’t suppose you are flirting with me are you” you smirk
“Maybe I am, you really are a sight for sore eyes” he replied.
“Well Mr British man, I accept the invite, but I must be going back to Hana now.”
“Do you want an escort?”
“You know what, why would I say no”
Bonus
“Ooooo (Y/N) has a boyfriend” Rav said as you said bye to Jacob.
You roll your eyes as you walk over to the couch, dumping your stuff and sitting next to him.
“Shut up Rav” you say but laugh
“What his naaammee” Dez said waiting to hear the tea
“His name is Jacob and he helped me today with my traps” you said
“So did he ask you out” bozzy said
“Well he commented after helping me that as much as he enjoyed the ‘date’ he had to go but asked if I would take up the offer on a real date” you say
“What did you say?”
“I said-“
They were all looking at you awaiting your answer
“I said of course”
Dez immediately jumped up and down in joy
“Eeee I’m so happy for you”
You smiled. Today was a good day, your trap was successful and you met Jacob, how could this day get any better

S/I Part 1
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6 | Part 7 | Part 8
Audience: *weakly applauding when Buggy enters the ring*
Me: *clapping wildly* *continues clapping and whoo-ing even after Mohji puts the "applause" sign down*
Buggy: ok who's the goddamn CHUCKLEFUCK that is MOCKING ME RIGHT NOW?! HUH??!
Me, yelling from the crowd: ME! I MEAN -- I'M NOT MOCKING -- I SWEAR -- I'M JUST A REALLY BIG FAN!
Buggy: Well! Finally, someone who understands their place! CABAJI! BRING THEM HERE
Cabaji: *does*
Buggy: What's your name, pal?
Me: *speechlessly grinning* *can't talk rn* *too overwhelmed*
Buggy: You're taking up precious time, kid, just tell me your name so we can get on with the show
Me: 😀
Buggy: Great thanks GIVE IT UP FOR THE ONLY ONE HERE WITH AN OUNCE OF TASTE!
Audience: *applauds stiltedly*
Buggy: *turns me around, detaches hands and pushes me back to my seat* *reattaches hands and wipes them on his shirt* Alright... anyway... ... ...Goddamnit I'M THROWN OFF, NOW! DO-OVER! PLACES, EVERYONE! FUCK!
——
Later
Buggy: You've been great, folks! Truly a CAPTIVE... audience! Hahahaha! See you again tomorrow! Buh-bye now! *Turns to leave the ring, sees me waving frantically and sighs* WHAT?
Me: Buggy-- Sir-- Captain-- can I have your autograph??
Buggy: Heh. Sure, sure. *he pulls out his wanted poster, signs it, then hands it to me* Anything else I can do ya for, kid?
Me: 😀
Buggy: You have a problem. *turns to leave*
Me: LET ME JOIN YOUR CREW!
Buggy: *slowly turns back around* Ha?
Me: 🫡 I swear my allegiance to the Buggy Pirates!!! 🫡
Buggy: HA?!
Me: Please!! 🙏 My captain!! 🙇
Buggy: *stunned* *crosses arms, grins and shakes his head* You've got spunk! But. It takes more than spunk to join MY crew. MOHJI!
Mohji: Captain!
Buggy: Take this one to the ship.
Mohji: *unfastens chains and pulls me along with him*
Buggy: We'll talk later, peanut gallery. Enjoy the brig! Bye-eeee!
——
Mohji: To be honest *walking me along*
Me: Yeah?
Mohji: We don't really have a brig. It's more Ritchie's room since he can be pretty destructive when I'm away. *continues walking me toward the ship*
Me: Well where are you taking me then?
Mohji: Captain's quarters.
Me: SO DIRECT--
Mohji: What?
Me: Isn't that... Buggy's... boudoir?
Mohji: Uh... yes?
Me: EEEHEHEHEHE
Mohji: He's going to regret this so much
——
45 minutes of being chained to a chair in Buggy's Boudoir later
Me: *at the end of the chain, trying to snoop in everything I can*
Buggy: *opens door, sees me, jumps back and shrieks, having completely forgotten me*
Me: CAPTAIN 🙇
Buggy: STOP THAT!
Me: SIR 🫡
Buggy: You're not a part of my crew!
Me: Yet!
Buggy: *sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose* Alright, babe. What can you offer me?
Me: 😳 I can offer so much
Buggy: Why are you drooling
——
Buggy: *snaps his fingers in my face* Hey, wakey-wakey. Answer the question. What can you offer?
Me: I, um… *frantically searching for a talent* I can… draw?
Buggy: *not impressed*
Me: Oh! I could be a caricature artist for your audience!!
Buggy: *strokes his chin with a detached hand* Hm… I guess I could see how that would be useful…
Me: Yeah, you could advertise it and lure people in! Then you wouldn’t have to force anybody to—
Buggy: “FORCE”? You think people are FORCED to see my show?!
Me: Um. Well you kidnapped everybody, so. Yes?
Buggy: They like it so it doesn’t count.
Me: That’s problematic but I’ll pretend I didn’t hear it
——
Buggy: You better be able to prove that you can draw, peanut gallery, or else.
Me: *curiously* Or else… what?
Buggy: *hadn’t thought that far* You’ll… walk the plank!
Me: Right next to the dock? I could just get out of the water.
Buggy: Well obviously, I’d take you out to sea and THEN you’ll walk the plank where there’s no hope of survival!
Me: You’d be willing to put up with me for that long?? That’s so sweet :)
Buggy: Just— shut up! Show me you can draw! *shoves a paper and pen at me*
Me: Okay, fine. Jeez. *looks around for a surface*
Buggy: *sighs, turns around so I can draw on his back, but he flips his head backwards so he can see the paper as I draw*
Me: *ignoring how creepy that looks* *quickly sketches Buggy but in a caricature style, so his features are greatly exaggerated… especially his nose*
Buggy: Excuse me. What. Is this supposed to be. *he jabs his detached finger at the nose, which looks like a kickball glued to his face*
Me: A drawing of you
Buggy: DON’T PLAY STUPID!! *he turns his head back around, grabs the drawing and rips it to shreds, then stomps on it and digs his heel into the paper* *heaving breaths as he calms down* You’re lucky you’re cute. One more chance and that’s it. *presents a new paper, turns around again*
Me: *blushing a bit at his comment* *draws him again, this time with more realistically-sized features* What do you think?
Buggy: Hm. *he studies the paper and smiles a bit despite his recent outburst* *he frowns again, acting as though he isn’t actually as happy with it as he is* That’ll do. Welcome aboard, Resident Ar-teest!” *he claps me on the back, unchains me from the floor, then pins up the drawing of himself next to his mirror*
Me: YES!! WOO-HOO! Thank you thank you thank you!!! *I hug him tight, squeeze him and then let go to run around the room whooping*
Buggy: *blushes but covers up his emotions by looking angry about it* *releases anger and chuckles to himself at me* *laughs louder* That’s right! I’m the best in the East Blue! The rest of the crew could learn from your hootin’ and hollerin’!! *laughs triumphantly* *grabs my arm and tugs me toward the door, which he kicks open* ALRIGHT, MEN! MEET OUR NEWEST MEMBER… … *he falters, realizing he doesn’t know my frickin’ name*
The crew: *awkwardly watch him struggle* *a bird caws in the distance*
Me: *whispers to him*
Buggy: MO! I knew that. I was just waiting for a drumroll which NO ONE PROVIDED! *glares at crew*
Someone in the back: *starts a drumroll*
Buggy: IT’S TOO LATE NOW, DIPSHIT! *mutters to himself then turns to me* Mo, talk to Cabaji, he’ll set you up with a bed and whatever else. *he goes back to his room but stops and mentions this with a bit of embarrassment,* thanks for the drawing. *shuts the door*
——
Me: *lays down in the hammock Cabaji led me to and swings from side to side giddily* This is so awesome… I can’t believe I’m actually part of the Buggy Pirates! I’m in the Big Top RIGHT NOW! *rotates in the hammock like a high-speed rotisserie chicken* EEEE!! *stops* Wait. Something isn’t right…
Pirate failing to nap nearby: Is it that you’re talking to yourself when people are trying to sleep?!
Me: No *springs out of hammock and out the door* *runs to Buggy’s quarters and knocks like mad*
Buggy: *wrenches open the door, pissed* *gets knocked on the nose multiple times* *swats my fist away* OW! FUCK! WHAT IS IT *winces as he pats his nose, checking for blood (there isn’t any)*
Me: Ah, my bad!
Buggy: DON’T “MY BAD”—! Ugh… how does it look?
Me: It’s pretty red
Buggy: *sputters with rage at himself for walking right into that one* Just—Just—!! What do you need?!
Me: *suddenly very serious* I realized… I don’t have a clown motif.
Buggy: *straightens and looks distraught* You’re right. *grabs my shoulders* We need to fix that immediately. BOBO!
Bobo, the ship’s tailor: Oui?
Buggy: Get Mo something to wear! Quick!
Bobo: Oui! *hauls me away to his nook of the ship, which is filled with fabrics and notions of all sorts* *he gets my measurements in seconds, holds up various fabrics to my skin, finds a color he likes, and starts to drape on his dress form*
Me: *stunned as I watch him, in mere moments, whip up a bright teal jacket with jester horns on the hood*
Bobo: *puts the jacket on me and has me turn around for him* *he snips off a loose thread and nods* Oui.
Me: Holy shit! Wow! Thank you!!
Bobo: *beams*
Buggy: *saunters over* That’s Bobo for ya!
Me in Buggy’s eyes: *turns around in slow-motion, jester horns on the hood swaying a bit as I face him, I smile wide when I see him and my cheeks blush in his presence*
Buggy: *blushes too* Whoa.. *glances away nervously* Y-You look… Really good
Me: *reddens even more* Thanks…
Buggy: *clears throat* Yes, “thanks”… to Bobo! Thanks to Bobo you look good! Heh. Anywho. All set, now. So. *yells to the rest of the ship* LET’S CELEBRATE OUR FLASHY NEW CREWMATE! WHO WANTS BOOZE?!
Crew: *CHEERS RAUCOUSLY*
Buggy: *to me* C’mon. I’ll get us the good stuff. *grin and heads toward the ship’s store room*
Me: *chuckles and follows him down, looking forward to a fun night*
——
In the ship’s stores
Buggy: *grabs a few bottles and hands them to me* Here, this swill is for the crew. And this… *he opens a trap door and pulls out a fancy bottle of tequila* This is for us. *wiggles the bottle with a smirk*
Me: *sparkle eyes* Aaah I feel so special~ Captain Buggy~
Buggy: St-Stop being weird, don’t make me regret this!
Me: *shuts eyes but the light from the sparkles still shines through my eyelids*
Buggy: The fuck—
——
We go back up the stairs and Buggy has me hand out the bottles to a very joyful crew. I finish chatting with some of the crewmates and come back to Buggy, who has set up a couple of shot glasses for us.
Me: Alrighty, can’t wait to try this tequila! *reaches for a shot glass but Buggy snatches it away from me* Hey!
Buggy: Let’s play a game. *he has a glint of mischief in his eyes*
Me: …Were you planning this?
Buggy: *scoffs* No! *releases the shot glass and places it in front of me* “Answer or drink.”
Me: Answer what?
Buggy: That’s the name of the game. I ask a question, and you either answer it truthfully or you take a shot. And vice versa.
Me: Hm… Okay! You go first.
Buggy: Heh. Let’s start easy. How did you learn about me and my crew?
Me: *drinks*
Buggy: Wh—Yo— You can’t even answer that?!
Me: I just wanted to drink.
Buggy: THAT’S NOT HOW IT WORKS!
Me: I know. My turn!
Buggy: *grumbles* Fine!
Me: What’s your favorite circus feat to perform? *assuming he’s proficient in all of them*
Buggy: *can’t even juggle* Uh… *drinks*
Me: This is gonna be a short game.
Buggy: Are you leaving behind any family, joining my crew?
Me: Nope. I was on my own.
Buggy: No friends?
Me: Hey, it’s not your turn! Um… is this your hair? *pulls the long blue stuff coming out of his hat*
Buggy: OW! Yes! *lifts his hat to rub his pained scalp*
Me: Wow, it’s so long… *strokes it* And soft! Are these little braids? Aww…
Buggy: *stuffs hair into his hat grumpily, blushing* Shut up! Hmph. Why don’t you have friends?
Me: …
Buggy: *realizes he’s struck a nerve as I take a shot*
Me: *more serious* Why are you so curious about me?
Buggy: …
Me: *looks at him curiously as he takes a shot, avoiding my stare*
——
About three hours later
Buggy: Mmkay, it’sh my turn ag’in…
Me: Mhmm
Buggy: And thish time, you better not *hic* drink
Me: Yeh ho’kay
Buggy: *slaps table* Wouldjoo… ever… *hic* Hm.
Me: Hwhat
Buggy: Hmn. Heh. I’m too embarrasshed
Me: Hwhat??
Buggy: Nho. Nho nho nho
Me: HWHAT, D*hic*AMNIT
Buggy: Heh… wouldjoo ever… *shakes head, blushes and drinks*
Me: Huh?! ‘S zat a new rule?? Can’t ashk yew gotta drink??
Buggy: Captain sez.
Me: That’z shtoopid.
Buggy: Ashk your question alreddy
Me: Buggie… kin I…
Buggy: C’n yew… hwhat
Me: *leans closer* Kin… I… ‘m…
Buggy: *blushing as I glance at his mouth*
Me: *falls forward* Zzz
Buggy: HA?! *barely manages to catch me* *he tries to prop me back up but I just fall forward toward the table* *catches me again and gently lays my head down on the table* *sighs* *looks around the ship* *the rest of the crew is in the same state as me, all laying around and snoring* Heh… C’mon. *he manages to stand, and he pulls me off my seat* Oof— he’vier th’n I thought. *struggles and ends up dragging me to the room where my hammock is*
Me: Zzz
Buggy: *heaves me onto the hammock, which swings in an arc and plops me face-down on the floor* H’oh shit—
Me: *muffled snoring*
Buggy: *lifts me up again and is too scared to try putting me back in the hammock* M’kay, ah… *he sighs and drags me back out of the room, fumbles with the knob to his quarters, and pulls me inside, plopping me on his bed like a sack of potatoes*
Me: *smiles in my sleep and nuzzles into his pillow* Buggie…
Buggy: *blushes wildly, falls backward and scurries out of the room* *fumbles for the knob, opens the door and darts out, shutting it quietly* *exhales* G’night, Mo.
——
The next morning
Me: *stirs* Hm… Wha? *notices I’m in a nice fluffy bed* Huh?? *sits up and glances around* *face drops and I blush when I realize I’m in Buggy’s room* *leaps out of bed in a karate position, not sure what to expect next* *relaxes pose when I realize I’m alone* How did I end up in here…
Buggy, who slept outside the door: *is awoken by getting stepped on the face by Bobo* GAH *punches him in the nuts on reflex*
Bobo: HORK *doubles over and trembles* Je suis désolé, C-captain
Buggy: *stands up quickly, has footprint on his face* SORRY AIN’T GONNA— oof… *sits back down and grips head, hangover taking over*
Me: *slams open door, which pins Buggy between the door and the wall right on his head*
Buggy: GH—HRGLE—
Me: Oh no!! *closes door and rushes to his side* Are you okay?!
Buggy: *tears in his eyes, footprint on his face, cheeks red from being smacked, nose throbbing, missing a tooth* Yeah I’m good
Me: Whew
Buggy: I’M OBVIOUSLY NOT GOOD
Me: Oh!
Buggy: *turned away* So oblivious…
——
Ten minutes later, we’ve gotten up and have started drinking coffee, which Buggy demanded Bobo to make simply because he was nearby. We both sip our coffees and sigh happily.
Me: So…
Buggy: *serenely enjoying his coffee* Hm?
Me: Did you take me to bed last night?
Buggy: *chokes* NO! Well… Yes? B-but not like THAT! *blushing, tries to focus on coffee, slurping it awkwardly*
Me: Hahaha! Why are you so flustered??
Buggy: I’M NOT— *red as a beet* *grumbles*
Me: *grinning, pats his back* I’m just messing with you! I know you’re too shy to try anything.
Buggy: SHY?! I’m not shy!! I could do… stuff!
Me: *teasing* Oh yeah? Like what?
Buggy: *mouth is a thin line as he tries to talk but can’t. He just gets redder, grunts and turns back to his coffee*
Me: HAHAHA
Buggy: Tch… *leans away with his chin in his hand, trying to hide his smile*

“I just think we as a society should appreciate guys wearing cardigans more.” Mingyu states, taking a sip of his soda afterwards as he awaits everyone's response. Minghao raises his hands up in the air and claps, “Outstanding. Say it LOUDER!”
“I JUST THINK WE AS A SOCIETY-”
“Stop.” Seungkwan goes into a laughing fit, causing the rest of the guys to lose it. You grin behind your soda, trying to hold back your own laughter. Seokmin laughs loudly beside you as Mingyu gets up to shove Minghao off the couch.
It’s a warm Friday night at the Jeon residence, the fourteen of you goofing around after finishing your finals. You guys haven’t been able to hangout altogether like this for a month since you were all so busy studying for your exams, so being able to sit down and spend time with them is nice.
Except for the fact that you feel this heavy weight on your shoulders cause you feel like you absolutely failed your sociology final. You know that Seokmin has noticed your mood due to him staying close beside you the whole night, trying to make you laugh as much as he can.
“You alright?” Seokmin finally asks, spouting you out of your thoughts. He wraps an arm around your shoulders and you give him a small smile, “Kinda. Just worried about my final, but it’s okay. Don’t worry about me.”
“Of course I’m gonna worry about you yn, you’re my best friend. I can literally sense how much it’s bothering you based on how slouched you are right now.” You immediately straighten your shoulders, making Seokmin chuckle at you.
“Mingyu please get off of mE!”
“No, you were rude.”
“HELLO??!!”
“Wow, and nobody’s gonna help him?” Jeonghan says as he videotapes the whole thing, and you snort, reaching over to the coffee table to grab a chip.
“Some world we live in.” Chan finishes, bursting into laughter when Minghao starts slamming his fists onto the floor like a child who got their favorite toy taken away. Mingyu finally gets up off the poor boy, and Minghao lets out a wheeze before standing up and jumping on the giant.
“Ah shit, everyone grab their cups and plates.” You announce, and everyone grabs whatever’s fragile and places it out of their way. Minghao currently has Mingyu in a chokehold, and Mingyu is refusing to tap out as Vernon now takes the role as referee.
“Mingyu! Just tap out already!” Wonwoo yells, and Mingyu shakes his head no.
“Your face is so fucking red Mingyu please!”
“N-neve-” Mingyu wheezes in the middle of his sentence, tapping Minghao’s arm. Minghao finally lets go, and stands up in victory. You all laugh when Vernon raises his arm up as if they just won the Olympics.
“You wanna head out?” Seokmin asks as you pull out your phone while everyone starts talking again. You turn to look at him, letting out a small grin, “Yeah, sure.”
“Okay guys, I need to take yn home. She’s really tired.” Seokmin announces, and the boys release a round of, “Awe man.” and, “We’ll see you on Monday!”
“Bye guys! Love you, text you later.” You say as you put on your hoodie. You and Seokmin wave goodbye before heading out of Wonwoo’s house. You breathe in the fresh air, gazing up at the dark night sky. Slight disappointment settles in your stomach once you take notice of the lack of stars.
“Yn, let’s go to our place.” Seokmin says from his car, half his body already in the driver’s seat. You feel excitement fill your veins at the thought of looking at the stars from you and Seok’s secret place, so a big smile breaks out onto your face. You nod your head and skip over to the car.
“Do you have a blanket?” You ask as you step out of the car and into the clearing. Seokmin nods his head, stepping over and opening the trunk. You go to him, peeking your head over his shoulder you take notice of the basket of snacks and two blankets. Warmth floods your face once you realize he must’ve planned this, making your heart do a little backflip.
“You planned this?” Seokmin doesn’t respond, instead he takes one of the blankets and hands it to you. You hug it tightly in your arms as he grabs the second blanket and the basket of snacks.
“Let’s go!” He exclaims, dashing off up the hill of grass. You let out a squeal, yelling out, “Wait for me!” as you put your phone into your pocket and start running after him.
You’ve been best friends with the twelve guys since your freshman year of high school, having met through you all collectively getting detention for multiple different reasons. You love all of them with your whole heart, they played a big role in making high school a lot more bearable. You’re closest to Seokmin though, you think of him as a soulmate of sorts. You guys becoming best friends was unexpected to the group, considering the fact that you both argued all the time in the beginning of the friendship.
It was only when you and Seokmin decided to prank Mingyu one random summer day, that you two quickly became best friends. You both even got into the same college! As did half of the friend group actually, the other half going to another university a few minutes away from yours. It was 2 am on a warm spring night Seokmin called you, telling you to get ready in five minutes.
“You look pretty.” Seokmin says when you step into his car, and you scoff. You’re literally wearing your winnie the pooh onesie since it’s deadass three in the fucking morning.
“Can’t believe you’re making me leave my warm bed.” You mutter, crossing your arms and pouting out the window. Seokmin turns to look at you, letting out a small giggle at your expression.
“You could’ve told me no.”
“You literally called me saying get ready in five minutes, then hung up the phone without letting me respond.”
“And? It’s not my fault you’re too slow.”
“I’m gonna kill you.” Seokmin lets out a gasp, placing his hand over his mouth in feign shock. You roll your eyes, finally giggling a bit. He glances at you and smiles at the sight of you giggling in your winnie the pooh onesie.
“Where are we even going anyways Seok?” You ask and he shrugs in response, turning up the heater.
“So it’s a surprise?”
“Precisely. If I say more, then it’s no longer a surprise.”
“Well that’s lame.”
“You’re the one wearing a winnie the pooh onesie here, yn.”
“BITCH!”
That night Seokmin took you to this hidden hill that he found for the first time, and it became your guys’ spot. You go here every once in a while when you’re stressed, with or without Seokmin. However, there’s been multiple instances where you head over and see him already staring up at the stars. It’s been a month since you’ve last been here, and Seokmin knew that. That’s why he planned to take you here after the friend group hangout.
“Last one up the hill has to buy the other boba-” Seokmin trips and lands face flat into the grass mid-sentence, letting you take the lead and run all the way to the tree. You slap the bark, turning to look at Seokmin with a big smirk on your face.
“Good GOD I think I have grass in my nose.” He yells and you laugh as he walks up to you. He sets down the blanket he was holding onto the ground, and places the basket on top. He turns to you with a small smile.
“You owe me boba.”
“I know.” Seokmin sighs in defeat, taking off his sneakers and sitting on the blanket. You take yours off as well, sitting down close beside him and unfolding the blanket you were holding. You place it over both of your legs before opening the basket.
“Eeee! You got sour patch kids!” You exclaim, quickly opening up the bag and placing a blue one into your mouth.
“Of course, they’re your favorite.” He says nonchalantly, but internally his heart is warm at your excited reaction. You turn and give Seokmin a smile, placing a red one into the palm of his hand. He puts in his mouth and his face scrunches up at the initial sourness, and you giggle.
“You seem to be in a better mood now.” Seokmin mentions and you nod your head slowly, letting out a small laugh. You lay on your back to get a better look at the stars, and your eyes widen at how clear the night sky is at the top of the hill.
“I can never get used to this view.” You whisper, and Seokmin nods his head. He adjusts the blanket before laying down beside you. He lets out a low whistle at the view, and you both lay there in silence for a moment. Soaking in the beautiful night sky.
“I’m worried about my future, my potential internship really relies on that final I took.” You confess, and Seokmin turns his head to look at you. The stars reflect in your eyes, and the natural light from the moon brings a beautiful, soft glow to your features.
“You probably did great yn, you’re the most diligent out of all of us besides Wonwoo.” Seokmin tells you and you shake your head, letting out a sigh.
“I don’t know. I just feel stupid, my intelligence is such a big insecurity of mine. I just hope my hard work pays off again.” You mutter and Seokmin finds your hand under the blanket, intertwining your fingers together as a sign of comfort.
“You’re smart yn. Don’t let that bad conscious of yours tell you otherwise.” Seokmin says softly, and you turn your head to find him already staring at you.
“I don’t believe in myself.” He squeezes your hand, noticing how your eyes sparkle underneath the moonlight.
“That’s okay, because I believe in you.” You purse your lips at the sweet comment, heart practically palpitating in your chest due to it. He gives you a soft smile, turning back to face the stars.
“Oh! A shooting star! Make a wish!” Seokmin says, pointing at the sky. You quickly turn your head and catch the last seconds of the shooting star. You immediately close your eyes, letting go of Seokmin’s hand to clap your own hands together, quietly saying your wish in your head.
Seokmin turns his head back so that he’s looking at you, and he lets out a small smile. Your eyes are closed as you make your wish, a slight furrow to your brow and a small pout on your lips. He lets out a breath before closing his eyes,
I wish for you, the girl who’s fascinated by the stars but fails to notice that she holds the whole galaxy in her gaze.

*rattles can* pls sir... spare squeaky Rami? Can I have some squeaky Rami? 😌💘
(I’m just going to say I don’t know what you mean by squeaky Rami so I feel a bit dumb and went with squealing but I hope you like this anyway! it takes place after ‘soon i grew and happy too’)
“You’re up early,” Joe says, looking at Rami. “You don’t have class until the afternoon.”
“Gwil and I are going out for coffee this morning,” Rami says. “He said he has something to show me.”
Joe looks at Rami, smiling. “Oh? Does he?”
Rami frowns, looking at him. “Why? What is it? Do you know?”
Joe keeps smiling and shrugs, eating his breakfast. “I don’t know, do I?”
“Oh my god, Joe,” Rami says quickly. “What is it?”
“Nothing,” Joe says. “Nothing at all.” He takes another bite, chewing slowly, then he swallows and smiles again. “Or is it?”
Rami gasps and clasps his hands together, letting out a happy sound. “Oh my god!”
It’s Joe’s turn to frown a bit, and he looks at Rami. “Wait,” he says, “what do you think it is?”
“Oh my god! Joe!” Rami claps and squeals again. “They’re engaged!”
“What? Who? No they’re not!”
“The flowers, Joe! Gwil proposed!” Rami grins at Joe, and he makes another happy sound and starts bouncing up on his feet, and Joe’s eyes widen and he shakes his head.
“No he didn’t.”
“He wants to show me a ring! Oh my god! Eeee!”
“No he doesn’t!” Joe blinks. “Well, actually. He does, but—”
“Wait!” Rami says. “How do you know? Why wouldn’t Gwil tell me?”
“They’re not engaged!” Joe exclaims.
“What do you mean?” Rami asks.
Joe sighs. “Uh. They’re not engaged. But you’re right, it is a ring.”
“What?”
“Ben got Gwil a ring for their anniversary. He didn’t want me to tell anyone, that’s why he was being so weird on Saturday. It’s— they’re not engaged. It’s just a gift.”
Rami looks at Joe, and then he lifts his hands up to his face, smiling at him. “A ring? A promise ring?”
Joe nods. “Yeah, it…well, Gwil will show you, but it actually has ‘promise’ engraved in it. In Welsh.”
Rami’s mouth falls open a bit and then he lets out another happy sound, loud enough to make Joe wince just a bit. “They— a ring! Oh my god, Joe! Ben gave Gwil a ring!” He claps a couple more times and then leans in, kissing Joe on the cheek. “I have to go, I have to see it! Can you believe it? Oh my god! Bye! Love you!” He hurries to the door to get on his shoes, excitedly talking to himself as he goes, leaving Joe to just sit at the dining table, stunned by the hurricane that he feels just blew through here.

Chapter Seventy (!): Night Out
Chloe: “And you’re sure you’ll be ok? Your birthday was only a few days ago, sweetie- I don’t want to make you feel like we’re making you grow up too fast!”
Pierce: “Chloe, she’s been able to speak in full sentences since she was literally a toddler, I think she can handle it.”
Chloe: “But you don’t know that! Maybe she’s just putting on a brave face! I was a big sister- I know what the pressures are!”
Roswell: “You’re still a big sister, Aunt Chloe.”
Chloe: “I know! And it’s a lot!”
Roswell: “No need to worry, though. My father is right! I’m complete ready to take care of my cousins, we’ll juts hang out like always, but now I can use the stove!”
Chloe: “No!”
Pierce: “Chloe, I taught her how to cook, it’s fine.”
Chloe: “No stove! Microwave only! No alcohol, just watch cartoons until we get back and eat the leftovers in the fridge.”
Roswell: “Got it.”
Chloe: “I left a list with everybody’s phone number, and if we don’t answer right away, dm me on every single social media platform. Even LinkedIn.”
Pierce: “We trust you completely, Kiddo.”
Roswell: “Thanks, Dad!”
Vivien: “Who’s ready to party, babes?”
Walter: “Okay, Roswell, I wrote down everybody’s number and-”
Pierce: “Chloe already covered the overbearing mom thing.”
Vivien: “By cuties! Take care of my baby!”
Pierce: “If we don’t follow her, then she’s gonna just take the car and go without us.”
Chloe: “Bye babies! Call me if you need me!”
Roswell: “Bye guys!”
Barbie: “Byyyye!”
Chloe: “I don’t know if this is a good idea.”
Pierce: “The three of us have literally not gone out since Barbie was born.”
Vivien: “Maybe you guys haven’t.”
Chloe: “But when was the last time that you stayed out past nine?”
Vivien: “.....I don’t answer to you, Chloe.”
Pierce: “Why are you so freaked out? Antonio is just gonna go to sleep, and Roswell will just do like a science experiment with Barbie and then they’ll post mean comments on videos saying the moon landing didn’t happen.”
Chloe: *Deeeeep breathe* “You’re right. There’s no reason that they’d do anything that they wouldn’t normally do. Let’s go.”
Barbie: “So…can we build that rocket you’ve been telling me about?”
Roswell: “The rocket is really more of a...long term plan. I don’t think anybody is gonna sell a couple of kids the kind of materials we’d need for it, and I don’t think it’s safe for us all to check out the dumpsters.”
Barbie: “You’re not a kid anymore, though.”
Roswell: “That’s...a very good point. Hmm,”
Barbie: “Ros?”
Roswell: “I’m thinking. Our parents trusted me to take care of you two, an taking you to go dumpster diving for the parts would be irresponsible.”
Barbie: “We’ll be fine! We’ll split the work and the responsibilities, that’ll even it out! You’re in charge of me, and I’m in charge of Antonio! Right Antonio?”
Antonio: “Bah?”
Barbie: “Exactly. We’ll be fine!”
Roswell: “I guess it’ll probably be fine.”
Roswell: “Alright, let’s go, we just have to keep an eye on the time and be back before our parents are.”
Roswell: “Agh! Ew!”
Barbie: “You okay?”
Roswell: “I’m fine! Just touched something wet- you two behave out there!”
Antonio: “Art…”
Barbie: “I’m loving that, Ants. You’re a genius. Like the big sticky mess guy, who’s that guy? Who’s the one with the big sticky mess?”
Antonio: “Ross…...well”
Barbie: “Pfft. Burn.”
Barbie: “Hey Ros did you hear what he said?”
Roswell: “I’m not stuck!”
Barbie: “No- he said you’re a big sticky mess!”
Antonio: “Burnd!”
Barbie: “Hah! Nice.”
Roswell: “Phew. Okay. I’m fine. I’m grown up. I’m the baby sitter. I did not get stuck.”
Barbie: “We already know all those things. Did you find it?”
Roswell: “Yes, actually, I think I have enough spare parts to make the fabricator run properly.”
Barbie: “Hell yes! What’s next?”
Roswell: “Crystals. Lots of them. And some kind of flying apparatus. We have a few options for that but I think I know our best bet.”
Barbie: “What...is this place?”
Roswell: “Spellcaster’s alley.”
Barbie: “Are we floating?”
Roswell: “Yup!”
Barbie: “Where’s the earth?”
Roswell: “It’s another dimension, I don’t know everything. Wait here for a sec, don’t let Antonio wander away. Sir? Hi, can I see your crystals?”
Wizard: “Ooohh-hoo-hoo! Naughty children out past dark unsupervised! Careful, or I’ll cast a spell on you! Wheee!”
Barbie: “Ahh! He cast a spell on me!”
Wizard: “I got your nooooose!”
Barbie: “Roswelll!!!!”
Roswell: “Whoa- what’s wrong?!”
Barbie: “He stole my nose!”
Roswell: “Who? Antonio?”
Barbie: “No! Him- the wizard- oh.”
Roswell: “Barbie, there’s nobody else here”
Barbie: “He disappeared! Now I’ll never get my nose back!”
Roswell: “You still have a nose, Barbie.”
Barbie: “Oh thank god. He must’ve given it back before he vanished.”
Barbie: “Can we ask one of those fools to teach us magic so we can get back at them?”
Roswell: “I mean, I can’t. I’m an alien, I guess you could in a few years, though.”
Barbie: “Hmm….interesting. Is there anything else you need?”
Roswell: “Uh...yeah, I gotta get a radar and a few other things.”
Antonio: “Whaa!”
Roswell: “Oh, shit. Antonio! Press the down button on the broomstick!”
Barbie: “Sooo...when you finish your spaceship, where are you gonna go?”
Roswell: “Uh, I can’t really...say it out loud?”
Barbie: “But you promised not to keep secrets from me, Ros!”
Roswell: “It’s not a secret! I just can’t say it in english. It’s more of a glowy mental thing.”
Barbie: “Can you try?”
Roswell: “Uh, sure….”
Bssssszzzt
Roswell: “You getting anything?”
Barbie: “Uh...I kind of smell pancakes?”
Roswell: “Yeah, that’s probably the best way for me to describe it.”
Barbie: “What do you think the pancake planet is like, Ants?
Antonio: “May-pull.”
Barbie: “Yeah that’s what I was thinking. I bet it’s really cool.”
Vendor: “You should obviously check out the lab if you want more information, but-”
Barbie: “What’s that?”
Roswell: “It’s a weird fruit. I think it came from my planet and it’ll help me triangulate it’s location.”
Barbie: “What’s that?”
Roswell: “A hat that will transmit my brainwaves out into space.”
Barbie: “What’s that?”
Roswell: “Codes to get into the abandoned laboratory outside of town.”
Barbie: “Are we...going to the abandoned laboratory outside of town?”
Roswell: “Yup, I just have to grab a few things there, and then one more thing, then we can head home.”
Roswell: “Hff, hnggg, shoot. I can’t get it open.”
Barbie: “I can help.”
Antonio: “Help!”
Roswell: “I’m not sure you guys are gonna be able to do any better than me.”
Barbie: “Won’t know unless you try. Ok- Pull!”
Barbie: “Ok, yeah, that bad boy is shut-shut.”
Roswell: “Maybe there’s a key somewhere?”
Antonio: “Color it in!”
Roswell: “Oh- Antonio, no, you probably shouldn’t mess with that.”
Barbie: “Why not? Somebody already drew lines all over it.”
Roswell: “Yeah, because it’s redacted, not because it’s art.”
Barbie: “That makes more sense, it was really bad art.”
Roswell: “Hmm, maybe I can look at these papers more closely and figure out how to get in there later, I don’t think we’ll be able to now.”
Barbie: “Did you get what you were looking for?”
Roswell: “Yup! Well, mostly. It’ll do for now.”
Barbie: “When you go to the pancake planet- are you gonna take all of us with you?”
Roswell: “Um...maybe? I don’t know if I can make a ship that fits seven people.”
Barbie: “Can me and Antonio come?”
Antonio: “Space!”
Roswell: “If Dad and your parents say it’s okay, I don’t see why not. It’ll be pretty cramped, though. We won’t get our own rooms anymore.”
Antonio: “Nooooo...thanks!”
Barbie: “Fine, then you don’t have to come to space!”
Barbie: “You promise you’ll take me with you?”
Roswell: “Of course. I hadn’t even really thought about it, I guess I just assumed that you’d come with me.”
Barbie: “Are we gonna come back ever?”
Roswell: “Of course! I think…”
Barbie: “You think?!”
Roswell: “I mean- I’m pretty sure. It might take a while to get there.”
Barbie: “How longs a while?”
Roswell: “Uh, a few years I’m guessing? Even if I bundle up a bunch of brooms together I don’t think that it’ll really go that fast.”
Barbie: “YEARS?!”
Rowell: “Are you okay?”
Barbie: “I don’t want to leave everybody for years, Roswell!”
Roswell: “Oh. Hm. I guess...I could go alone. That makes the most sense, right?”
Barbie: “I don’t want you to leave for years either!”
Roswell: “I mean I...kinda have to. Literally the whole reason I exist is so I could find my way back and tell my people about humans.”
Barbie: “Aren’t we your people, though?”
Barbie: “Is some quest from people you’ve never met really more important than your family?”
Roswell: “No! I mean…I….”
Roswell: “I’m not going anywhere yet, Barbie. Can we just...talk about this later?”
Barbie: “Fine. Can we go home yet, or do you have more stuff to get?”
Roswell: “I mean, I have one more big thing to get, but it’s kinda complicated. We can go home if you really want to. I’m kinda tired.”
Barbie: “Ugh. Fine. What is it, we can do one more.”
Roswell: “Okay, this is gonna be a little tricky but I think we’ve still got time before our parents come home, but I think if we ride these broomsticks we’ll be able to get there and back fast enough. Hopefully.”
Barbie: “Okay, when you said one more thing I didn’t think you meant cave-diving in El Salvadora!”
Roswell: “I said it was kinda complicated!”
Barbie: “Why do you always downplay everything when you talk to me?!”
Roswell: “I do not!”
Barbie: “You do! You do! You act like everything is simple and normal and then act surprised when we’re not all on the same page!”
Roswell: “Don’t act like I’m lying to you just because you didn’t have enough critical thinking skills to be able to realize that going on a mission into space would be more than a family vacation!”
Barbie: “I...I..mmm.”
Roswell: “Oh. No nonononono Barbie don’t cry! I’m sorry for yelling! You can yell at me back just stop crying.”
Barbie: “Jerk!”
Roswell: “Barbie come back! It’s not safe!”
Rowell: “Barbie!”
Barbie: “Ahhhhhh!”
Roswell: “Barbie!!!!
Antonio: “EEEE! BONES!”
Roswell: “Aah! Kids, get behind me, I’m the babysitter- I’ll protect you!”
Barbie: “Roswell it’s too dangerous!”
Roswell: “Hiya! Take that! Aaand that!”
Skeleton: “Waa!”
Barbie: “Are you okay Ros?!”
Roswell: “Oof, eyup, just a little winded.”
Barbie: “You saved us! I was so scared!”
Roswell: “And you’re squeezing a little tight there, Kiddo.”
Barbie: “Sorry!”
Roswell: “It’s okay. I’m really sorry for being a jerk before. I didn’t mean it.”
Barbie: “And I’m sorry for running off, too. That was a stupid thing to do, I was just upset because…”
Roswell: “I know, Barbie. I...I’m gonna miss you too.”
Barbie: “You’re my best friend, and I don’t want you to go away without me.”
Roswell: “I’m not going anywhere yet, and...maybe there’s another way. I’ll figure it out, because you’re my best friend too.”
Antonio: “Friend!”
Pierce: “Hah! And did you see the bartenders face when we-”
Vivien: “Yesssss!! Ahh…”
Chloe: “Shh- the kids are probably asleep!”
Chloe: “Hey, Ros...sorry we came home a little late.”
Roswell: *Yawn* “Oh, I didn’t even realize”
Pierce: “Were the kids okay?”
Roswell: “Oh yeah, no trouble at all. We just watched a few movies, they’ve been asleep for a while.”
Chloe: “Why don’t you go to bed, Ros. Thanks for being such a good babysitter and letting us have a night out. You’re becoming a very responsible young woman and I’m very proud of you.”
Roswell: “Oh, uh, thanks, Aunt Chloe.”
Chloe: “And Pierce- you’ve become such a good father, even though you were scared at first, and I’m proud of you.”
Pierce: “Uh, oh-kay?”
Chloe: “And Walter- you overcame your fear of being boring and asked out Vivien, and I’m proud of you too.”
Roswell: “Not gonna lie, that made mine feel less special.”
Pierce: “Yeah.”
Chloe: “And Vivi- oh sweet, baby Vivien! You’ve grown up so much and-”
Vivien: “Ooookay- it’s been so long since you’ve been wasted I think we all forgot how...supportive you can get. Go to bed, Chloe.”
Chloe: “Okay. Good night, kids.”
That’s it for now! I can’t believe I’m finally on generation 9- it’s been a long...5 years? Is that possible? Oof, anyway, we’re nearing the end, with one of my favorite generations yet. Thanks for reading and leave a comment if you liked it!

So, we went shopping at some thrift shops near our place a couple days ago, and a guy stops us outside one and yells at my husband, “Yo hey, you Korean, man???”
He told the guy no, he was Taiwanese. The guy was like “Oh, okay man. You speak Korean? Korean, that’s my shit, man!!!!” And started popping off a bunch of fake CHING CHONG CHOI! ‘Asian’ words and EEEE-YAHHH! ‘Kung fu’ noises. We were like, “Heh, uh, heh yeah, okay man. Bye” and scurried away.
I told Richard, “I’m…sorry about that.” He just shrugged and said, “Americans.”
It was just weird and awkward at the time. But now I’m watching this shit about North Korea unfold and I’m thinking, if they start slinging bombs at us, how long will it be before he starts having people angrily shouting these things at him? Or worse, just start swinging/shooting/screaming first and asking questions later.

Schools Collide - Chapter 13
(Previous Chapter)
Are you sure you have everything?” Dr. Light asked. It was early morning and the sun shone through the window.
Rock looked through his backpack. “Yeah, I think that’s everything.”
“Will you be sure to take photos for me?” Dr. Light said.
“Of course!” Rock looked at the clock. “It’s almost time to go. Where’s Roll? She’s usually up by now.”
“She must be sleeping. Can you wake her up?”
Rock travelled upstairs until he arrived where Roll was sleeping. He shook her lightly. “Hey, Roll! Wake up!”
“Hmm?”
“Wake up, we have to go soon.”
“But isn’t today Saturday?”
“Well, yeah, but we have the field trip to the aquarium today, remember?”
“Oh my god!” Roll jolted up. “Go pour me some cereal, I’ll be down in like 2 minutes.”
Rock chuckled as he went back down to the kitchen. “She woke up.” He told Dr. Light.
After a few minutes, Roll came down and ate her breakfast. She then filled her backpack with all of the necessary items.
“All right, we gotta go now. See you later, dad!” Rock said.
“Bye!” Roll waved.
“Have a good time!”
Rock and Roll stood in the front yard of the school, where buses began to line up.
“This is gonna be so exciting! I hope they have seals…” Roll said. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Sally and Blaze.
“Oh, hi guys!” She ran up to them. “You excited!”
“You bet!” Sally said.
“Where’s Amy?”
“I think she’s hanging out with Plum.”
“You don’t think Amy’s going to abandon us, do you?” Blaze asked.
“Of course not! I know Amy.” Roll said. “She’s probably just getting to know her and maybe she’ll add her to our group soon?”
“I guess so.”
“It’s as if she had a boyfriend. I mean, if she had a boyfriend she wouldn’t abandon you, would she?”
“No.”
Rock watched Roll talk with the girls. “Hmm, I wonder where Sonic is…” Maybe if I call his phone I’ll hear it ringing? Rock dialed Sonic’s number. He heard ringing come through his phone, but nowhere else. Is he even here?
Eventually, Sonic picked up. “Yo.”
“Where are you?”
“Not coming.”
“What?” Sonic exclaimed in disbelief. “Why not?”
“I don’t feel like it.”
“This isn’t even class, you have no reason to not feel like it.”
Sonic sighed. “All right. The truth is…I’m afraid of water. And whales.”
“Oh.” Rock said with a sympathetic tone of voice. “There’s no need to be afraid. It’s all in tanks.”
“I dunno….”
“And I’ll be there to make sure nothing happens.”
“All right.” Sonic agreed. “I’ll be there in a few minutes.” He hung up the phone.
Soon, Sonic came by, running. He stopped right in front of Rock. He was wearing a backpack on his shoulders. “Guess I’m right on time!”
“Yeah.”
The teachers instructed the students to board the bus. Rock sat down in the middle of the bus, with Sonic next to him. Sally and Blaze sat near the back, with Roll near them.
Soon, Amy entered with Plum. They sat towards the center of the bus. When Amy saw Blaze and Sally, she waved, and they waved back.
“Are they friends of yours?” Plum asked.
“Yeah, they’re the ones I told you about.”
Amy took out her backpack and started searching through it. She pulled out a pair of binoculars.
“You gonna use those to look at the animals?” Plum asked.
“Not really…” She aimed them at Sonic, watching him converse with Rock.
Plum sighed.
Sonic and Rock stood in the aquarium, surrounded by tanks filled with tropical fish.
“Look at those, they’re beautiful!” Rock pointed at a school of fish as they swam by. “Oh! And look over there, those are pretty too!”
“Y’know what else is beautiful?” Sonic said, leaning closer to Rock.
“What?” He was still looking at the fish.
In another tank, a large whale swam by, causing Sonic to jump. He clung tightly to Rock.
“What?” Rock repeated.
Sonic pointed at the whale.
“Oh yeah, that whale is really pretty too!” He put his arm around Sonic. “There’s no reason to be afraid, I’ve got you.”
Sonic stopped trembling and his ears flattened. “So, uh, how ‘bout we go out and look at the arctic area next?”
“Sure!”
After walking up some sets of stairs and going outside, they arrived at the artic area.
“Look, seals!” Rock pointed. “Roll wanted to see those…I wonder where she is?”
Roll stood at the other side of the artic area with Blaze and Sally. “Those seals are so cute!” She said. She looked over and noticed Ice Man admiring the seals alone.
“Hmm…I’ll be right back.” Roll walked over to him.
“Hi, Ice Man!” Her greeting caused Ice Man to jump. “What are you doing?”
“Oh, I’m just…looking at the seals.”
“I’ve been waiting all day to see them. I love seals!” She exclaimed. “Especially that one over there.” She pointed towards one, which was relaxing on a sheet of ice.
“It’s adorable!” Ice Man agreed. “I love artic animals. One day I’d love to be a biologist and just spend all day with them.” He leaned further forward to get a better look.
“You’d be a great biologist, I bet. And you always wear that coat, so you’d never be cold!” She laughed. “Oh, do you wanna borrow these?” She held out her binoculars.
“Yes, please! Thank you so much!” Ice Man put the binoculars to his eyes and gazed out at the animals.
“No problem.” She smiled.
Amy and Plum wandered the bottom floor. Amy held a map in her hands and was staring at it. “Ugh, where could be possibly have gone?”
“I don’t know, I’m not psychic.” Plum shrugged. She bumped something A table? She observed it; it was a tank with small creatures in shallow water. “Oh! Amy, look, this is one of those tanks where you can touch the animals and hold them!” Plum looked at once of the employees. “May I hold this starfish?” The employee nodded. Plum scooped up the neon pink starfish in her hand.
“Hm?” Amy continued scanning her map.
“Amy, look at this!” Plum held up the starfish towards her.
“Oh…” Amy lowered the map. “It’s so cute!” She touched it a little with her hand. “I hope this doesn’t make my hands dirty…”
“We can always wash them later.” Plum gently put the starfish down.
“Ooh! What are all these things?” Amy pointed towards more colorful creatures.
“I think they’re anemones.” Plum said.
“I guess we can take a break from Sonic hunting for a while.” Amy said, relaxing her posture. “That sign says there are more fish that way! C’mon!” Amy grabbed Plum by the wrist and dragged her towards the other fish tanks.
Towards the afternoon, Knuckles and Rouge stood together at the gift shop. He covered her eyes with his large fists.
“Okay, you can open them now!” He said. He removed his hands from her eyes.
Rouge opened her eyes to see a T-shirt with pictures of different pictures of fish on it. “This is so cute!” She held it up to herself.
“And it’s all yours! I spent the last money I have on it.” Knuckles said proudly.
“It’s a little big for me…” Rouge said.
Knuckles’ expression became worried.
“But, I can shrink it!” She said.
“Well, I would’ve bought you jewelry because I know how much you love it, but this was all I could afford.”
Rouge blushed. “Oh, honey, you didn’t have to!” She hugged him.
Ice Man watched as Rouge hugged Knuckles.
He then looked over at a shelf of stuffed animals. He scanned the shelf until he found a seal. He took it over to the counter and bought it.
He ran around nervously until he bumped into Roll, knocking her over. “Sorry!”
“It’s fine.”
He held out one hand to help her up. “Uh, listen I got you something.”
Her eyes widened. “Really? What is it?”
He showed her the seal, blushing.
“A seal?” Roll grabbed it and held it tightly. “Eeee!” She squealed. “Thanks so much, Ice Man!”
“You’re welcome!” He said joyfully.
At that moment, Amy and Plum entered the shop. “Wow, there’s so much stuff here!” Amy exclaimed.
She zipped from shelf to shelf, examining everything with glee. “I want everything! I wish I could buy it all!”
Plum smiled.
“I wonder which one of these would look best in my room?” She said as she looked at the stuffed animals. She turned to look at the T-shirts. “Or maybe one of these would look really good on me?”
“Well, it’s up to you. I think you’d look good in anything.”
“Oh, thanks!” She walked up to Plum. “What are you looking at?”
Plum stood in front of a shelf filled with vibrantly colored, neatly made throw pillows. Her gaze was fixed on one with a pink starfish, just like the starfish she had held earlier. “I’m just looking at the pillows. This starfish one looks kinda cute.” She picked it up. “I didn’t bring any money, though…” She put her palm to her face.
“Oh! Well have no fear, Amy Rose is here!” Amy exclaimed. “I’ll just buy it for you!”
“When do you want the money back?”
“I don’t. It’s called a gift, silly!” Amy took the pillow and walked up towards the counter.
“Oh…well, thanks!” Plum said.
As the sun set, the students gathered back on the school bus. Rock sat where he had on the way there, with Sonic next to him.
“That was really fun, wasn’t it?” He said, smiling.
“Yeah…I guess it was.” Sonic said. He slowly leaned down, inch by inch, until he placed his face on Rock’s lap. He closed his eyes and fell asleep.
“He’s so cute.” Rock muttered, putting one hand on Sonic.
Meanwhile, Plum held her throw pillow. “This is so soft!”
“I’m glad you like it!” Amy exclaimed.
Plum smiled as she looked at Amy. In a moment, her face changed from that of a smile to disappointment. “Wait…weren’t you going to watch Sonic?”
“Who?”
“Sonic.”
“Oh!” Amy looked at her backpack. “Well…I don’t need to. I can do that another time.”
Plum’s face lit up with joy.

Pan and Trunks's First Date
Chickpow here: I found an old disc/floppy disc in my attic containing a lot of very old fanfiction from authors and websites that are either gone or taken down. I am not the author but I would like to share what I’ve found. if you find the author please let me know so I can credit them properly. Thank you and enjoy
Pan and Trunks's First Date
Author's notes: Ok, first of all, as you can probably guess if you've ever read my work before, I really want Trunks and Pan to be a couple. So if you have something against them being a couple, then you probably won't enjoy this. Ok, just to warn you, this is kind of silly, but it's been really fun to write. I really tried to get into the mind of a certain over-protective father...you'll find out! Also, again I'd like to thank Kelly for helping with dialouge. Here we go!
It was recess. Pan and her good friend Winnifred were sitting under a tree, talking about their math teacher, when Winnifred, like every other girl in school, noticed that Trunks Briefs was making his way towards them.
"Hey Pan! Pan! Isn't that Trunks?" Winnifred asked excitedly.
"Yeah. So?" Pan asked.
"He's coming over here! Ohmygodohmygod do I look Ok? Tell me the truth!" Winnifred asked.
Pan sighed. Winn was one of her best friends, but she tended to over-react to certain situations. A lot. "Yes, Winn, you look fine. Trust me," she said, and would have said something else except Trunks was there, standing over her. She felt her heart begin to race. Is it so wrong for me to like Trunks? Everybody does, for obvious reasons! Pan stood up, her feelings carefully hidden under a face of friendliness. "Hey Trunks. What's up?"
"Hey Pan," Trunks said cheerfully. "Say, I was wondering if you wanted to go to the mall or something this Friday."
"Uh, yeah. Sure. Of course! Yeah!" Pan stuttered. This hadn't really been what she'd expected, but it was more than Ok with her.
"Great," Trunks smiled. "I'll pick you up around seven, then, all right? All right," He said, and walked off toward his group of friends that were standing a little bit away.
"Eeee!" Pan squealed quietly.
Winn grabbed her arm. "Oh my god, Pan, I am so jealous! But I'm happy for you! Ecstatic! I beg you, PLEASE let me be a part of this! Please please please!" she begged.
"Fine! Yeah! Great!" Pan said, and both she and Winn jumped up and down a bit, squealing in delight of what was to come.
________
After school Winn begged Pan again if she could go over to her house so that she could help her with clothes. Pan said yeah, that she'd probably need some help, and Winn was overjoyed. They got to Pan's house reletively quickly, and they ran upstairs. Winn dropped her bookbag on the floor and immediatly began tearing Pan's closet apart.
"Hey! Hey! What are you doing?" Pan asked, frantic. It would be a bad thing if her father walked in then. Pan didn't think he'd be to thrilled at the prospect of her going out with Trunks. She was glad that Trunks couldn't come over for training that day, so that there weren't any akward scenes with him.
"I'm looking for something for you to- ah HA!" Winn shouted, and held up a skin tight black spaghetti strap tank top.
"Where and when did I get that?" Pan asked, puzzled.
"Doesn't matter. You have it. It'll probably go nicely with these jeans, too," Winn replied, holding them up.
"If you say so," Pan said. She didn't really know the first thing about fashion, but she trusted Winn. She knew more than Pan did, so Pan just had to rely on her. Winn resumed digging through her closet and five minutes later emerged with a dark blue see-through cardigan.
"This," Winn said thoughtfully, looking at the clothes she had selected, "Is going to be awesome. Put these on."
Pan picked up the clothes and quickly put them on while Winn had her back turned. "Dude! I can like, not move in these jeans! Are they supposed to be this tight?" she complained.
"Of course," Winn said impatiently. "Now stop moving around so I can look at you."
Pan crossed her arms and gave her a knowing look. "You sounded exactly like your mom there, Winn," she said.
Winn grimaced. "Sorry. Anyway, let's have a look." Pan straightened, and Winn looked at her from all angles. "Hm..." she said, and buttoned the first button on the cardigan. She smiled. "You look great!" she said finally.
"I do?" Pan asked, and walked over to her full length mirror. She was half afraid at first, but was surprised at how she looked. "Wow...I look...different..." she said, after looking at herself for a moment.
"You look great. Trunks will be positivley drooling over you. You look way fab, I'm serious," Winn said.
"Good...you know, once you get used to them, these jeans really aren't that bad," Pan said, and laughed. Winn laughed too.
"I guess tomorrow we have to do makeup and hair et cetera," Winn said thoughtfully.
"Makeup? I have to wear makeup? That stuff itches my face and is a pain in the ass to put on!" Pan complained.
"It won't. Trust me. Hey!" Winn said suddenly. "What's that?"
Pan listened. "Oh god! It's my dad! Um...um...quick! Get out some books! We have to pretend we're studying!" Pan whispered frantically, and quickly got her regular clothes on. She stuffed the clothes Winn had picked out underneath a pile of other clothes, and dove down onto the floor behind a book as she heard Gohan turning her doorknob.
"Ok Winn, the capital of Italy is...?" Pan asked quickly.
"Uh...Paris?" Winn asked.
"No! It's-" Pan didn't have time to finish, because Gohan walked into her usually-reasonably neat room.
"What are you two doing in here?" Gohan asked, and frowned at the mess.
"We're...studying!" Pan lied.
"I see. And I take it Winn usually studies with clothes all over the place?" Gohan asked.
"Uh...yeah! All the time," Pan said, and nodded convincingly.
"Uh...huh. What are you studying?"
"Quantium physics!"
"World War 2!" Pan and Winn said at the same time.
Gohan raised an eyebrow. "At the same time?"
Pan smiled angelically and nodded.
"Huh. That's kinda strange, considering those are your English books," Gohan said.
Pan slowly moved her eyes from her suspicious father to the book that was in front of her. Sure enough, the words were talking about nouns and prepositional phrases.
"Pan? Tell me. What were you doing?" Gohan asked, getting more than a little fed up.
"Nothing! We were just studying!" Pan said, her voice starting to rise to a shriek.
"Um...I think I have to go home now. Bye!" Winn said, and gathered her books and ran out of the room.
"Uh...I'd better...see her to the door!" Pan said, and ran after her.
Gohan frowned after his daughter. Something was up, but he didn't know what.
_______
The next day after school Pan and Winn ran home as fast as they could. Winn had her whole collection of perfumes, makeup, and even a pair of shoes in her bookbag, not to mention her textbooks. So she was pretty loaded down. By the time they reached the front door, she was panting and gasping. Pan opened the door, and hoped against hope that her dad wasn't right there. Her hopes were crushed when she saw she was staring right into Gohan's face.
"H..hi dad!" Pan said, with as much cheerfullness as she could muster.
"What are you doing home so early? You're usually not here for another fifteen minutes!" Gohan said.
"Um...we have a test tomorrow and...we really wanted time to study!" Pan said. Winn nodded in agreement.
"Hmph. Fine. Then go study. But first, why don't you offer Winnifred here something to drink?" Gohan told her.
Pan exchanged a hopeless look with Winn, but she took her into the kitchen and gave her some water. Pan kept watching the clock, because she knew that Trunks would be here soon, and she really didn't want to have to explain him to Winn. Unfortunatley, just as Winn finished her water, the doorbell rang. Pan groaned. Could things get any worse?
They could. Pan tried to rush Winn up the stairs, but Gohan opened the door and said hello to Trunks. Hearing his name, Winn slowly turned around, stared, squealed with delight, and fainted. Pan groaned, but picked her up and began to drag Winn up the stairs when Gohan called, with a false pleasent voice, "Oh Pan? Aren't you forgetting your bookbags?"
Pan looked down at Winn. She was totally out. She noticed that a lipstick had fallen out of Winn's pocket. Pan casually kneeled, picked it up, and hid it in her hand as she walked down the stairs. She opened Winn's bookbag to put the lipstick back in, but she misjudged just how much Winn had stuffed it. As soon as it was unzipped, Bottles of perfume clattered to the floor, along with hair supplies and eyeshadows. Pan's eyes widened in fear as she tried to quickly stuff it all back in.
"Pan? What's that?" Gohan asked, even though he could plainly see.
"It's nothing! Nothing at all! Winn just likes to be...um...prepared!" Pan said frantically. She realized it wasn't all going to fit in the one pocket that she had opened, so she opened the main one when the shoes fell out, along with everything else Winn had brought along. Pan was humiliated and worried. Gohan would surely figure out that she was going on a date.
"Pan? Tell me. Now. What are you and Winn going to be doing?" Gohan asked, his voice very serious.
"Studying! Just studying! That's all! Just...studying!!!" Pan exclaimed, and smiled innocently up at Gohan as she stuffed the last of Winn's beauty products into her bookbag. She slung both her own bookbag and Winn's over her shoulder, and dashed up the stairs to where her friend was lying.
"Pan! Explain to me exactly what all that was about!" Gohan roared. By now he had lost his temper.
Pan stopped dead in her tracks. She collected herself, turned to face her angry father, and smiled innocently. "Really, daddy! All we're going to be doing is studying! We have this huge test tomorrow and we're totally not prepared!" she said, using the voice that Bra always used when she wanted something from her dad. It always worked, at least for Bra.
Gohan crossed his arms. Pan could tell he wasn't convinced, so she grabbed Winn and dragged her up the stairs, very quickly. Trunks hadn't said anything this entire time, because he hadn't wanted to embarrass Pan even more than she already was.
Gohan sighed. "Trunks, what do you think is going on?" he asked.
Now Trunks was caught in a sticky situation. He knew that Gohan would be not happy if he found out that he was going out on a date with Pan, but he couldn't just lie to Gohan! Gohan was probably the person he was closest to, and Trunks could tell him anything. Except, of course, his feelings for Pan. "Well..." he began. "It seems like she's getting dressed up for something," he said finally.
"I can see that," Gohan answered shortly.
Trunks realized he was going to have to satisfy Gohan more than that. "Well...don't take my word on this, but if I had to guess it seems like she might be getting ready for some kind of date," Trunks said, hoping he hadn't betrayed Pan.
Gohan growled. "I don't have anything against her dating...well, not really, I suppose...but the fact that she didn't tell me is what really gets me. Why wouldn't she just tell me, or at least Videl? And why is she trying to cover it up?" he wondered.
"Maybe it's someone that she doesn't want you to know about so she wants to keep him a secret," Trunks said, and as soon as the words were out of his mouth he mentally smacked himself. Why had he said that, of all things?!
"In that case, then he's probably some low-down jerk who isn't good for anything. That just makes it all the worse," Gohan growled.
Trunks was caught. He couldn't agree with Gohan, because that would be insulting himself. But if he stuck up for the 'low-down jerk' Gohan would get suspicious. Instead, he did niether. Trunks shrugged. "I dunno. For all we know, they could just be planning for the next dance or whatever. It was just an idea of mine, about the date thing."
Gohan snorted but didn't say anything. He knew that Pan had a date, now that Trunks had put the idea into his head. He just had to figure out who the jerk was, so he could grind the little snot into a bloody pulp. Gohan grinned evily. "Ok, Trunks, come on. Let's train."
_______
Pan closed the door behind her and sighed in relief. "That was way to close..." she moaned. She dropped Winn on her bed and their books on the floor. Winn suddenly sat straight up.
"Was that Trunks that I just saw???" Winn asked.
"Uh huh," Pan said.
"Oh god..." Winn fell back onto the bed. "I just fainted in front of the hottest guy in school. I am such a loser!" she cried.
"Don't worry about it. I doubt he cares, really," Pan said. She sat next to Winn on her bed.
"I hope not. If he did, he won't mention it, cause he's such a nice person," Winn said, and sighed romantically.
Pan could see where this was going. But Winn had already started, and once she began gushing over Trunks, nothing could stop her.
"Or maybe he won't even think anything of it. Maybe he's flattered! Course, he probably isn't because he has all these other beautiful girls fawning over him and he probably doesn't want anything to do with me because I'm not pretty and he'd never marry me because of that because he would want his children to be beautiful just like him! He is SO hot! And he wears the cutest clothes! And his smile! He is always so sweet to his girlfriends!" And so Winn went on like that for about a half hour without slowing down. Pan just nodded and said, "uh huh" and "totally" and "I agree" without really listening to any of it. They were both off in their own little worlds, but Pan snapped back to reality when Winn said, "God, Pan, you are soooo incredibly lucky to be able to go-" Pan slammed her hand over Winn's mouth, remembering something in the nick of time.
"Winn. Not. Another. Word. Not until I tell you. Ok?" Pan said, trying to remain calm. Winn nodded, her eyes confused. Pan removed her hand, and went over to the wall where there was an air vent that connected with the training room. Pan would often listen while Trunks was over with her dad, just to eavesdrop on their conversations. If Pan hadn't stopped Winn from talking about Pan going out with Trunks, Gohan would have heard everything and she would never have been allowed to go. Pan slowly closed the vent and slumped to the floor in relief.
"Ok Winn, you can talk now," Pan said.
"What was all that about?"
"I found out a few months ago that this air shaft leads to the room that my dad and Trunks are in. In other words, if the vent is open, I can hear what they are saying and they can hear what I'm saying. That's why I stopped you from talking. Ok, let's do makeup, I guess..." Pan said.
"Oh. Ok, here's what I brought along." Winn dumped the contents of her bookbag to the floor. She sifted through it. "Pan, get on that outfit so we can color-coordinate," she instructed. Pan obeyed. "All right, you probably want a more natural look, right?"
Pan looked at her blankly. "I...guess..."
"Allll right, then you probably wanna stick with more subtle hues, so these would be your best choices for lipstick," Winn said. And their beauty session went on for another hour and a half. By the time Winn was finished with her, Pan looked positively stunning. She examined herself in the mirror.
"I look...I feel...so...different..." Pan said. She couldn't help smiling at her reflection.
Winn sighed happily. "Pan, you look...fabulous! No guy, no matter how thick, will be able to stay away with that. But...alright, you've chosen the perfume you want, right?"
"Yeah, but I'm not gonna put it on until I actually go on the date. I don't want my dad to know what we've been doing. Speaking of which, I'd better go change," Pan said. She gave herself one last look in the mirror, then slipped into her normal clothes. Winn helped her take her makeup off. "Winn, thank you soooo much for helping me, I'm serious!"
"Sure! You'll be fine tomorrow night, don't worry. Now...we'd better seriously study this time, or your dad will get really suspicious," Winn said.
"Ok. Um..." Pan opened her bookbag and took out her history book. Winn did the same. They meant to study. They really did. But they couldn't concentrate. So they just talked about school, guys (Trunks in particular), friends, everything. So when Gohan suddenly walked in again they jumped up.
"Jeez Dad, don't do that!" Pan exclaimed.
"Winn. Go home," Gohan said without amusment.
Winn looked at Pan with sympathy in her eyes, then packed up her bookbag and quickly left. Pan stood up to walk her to the door, but Gohan blocked the doorway.
"Winnifred is perfectly capable of finding her own way out," Gohan said.
"What do you need, Dad?" Pan asked nervously.
"You weren't studying," Gohan said bluntly.
"Yes we were!" Pan said. "We were studying the entire time!"
"Oh really? And was 'the whole time' before or after Winn was going on and on about Trunks?" Gohan asked.
Pan looked at the floor in embarassment. "...After... Other than the time she spent doing that, we were studying!"
"And what about the time with the clothes? Videl cleaned your room today, and I see that your clothes are all over again," Gohand said.
Pan silently cursed. So that's who had messed all of her stuff up. "Winn...um...just wanted to show me this new style that everyone's wearing!" Pan said finally, knowing that her father wouldn't know the difference.
"Hmph. What were you studying?" Gohan asked, changing tactics. "I can help you if you want."
No! Pan screamed silently. "Um...the war of 1812," Pan said.
"Hm. I had to write a good many reports on that one when I was in school. I'll quiz you, see how much you know," Gohan offered, but it was said more like a command.
Uh-oh...Pan thought. She knew absolutley nothing on the war of 1812. In fact, she was glad that there was a war in 1812. Well...she'd have to do the best she could.
"How did it begin?" Gohan was asking.
"Um...let's see...uh...the...the Vikings...yeah, the Vikings came over to America in search of new lands to conquer, and...um...Columbus didn't really like that, so he sent George Washington over to fight them, and they did, and that was...uh...the battle of Waterloo, and so George Washington won, and he and Tom Ridge signed the Declaration of Independance on that day, and then they founded the thirteen original colonies, but soon after that they were going to have problems with the Romans, but that's another war. Yeah. That's the war of 1812!" Pan answered.
Gohan stared. "Pan? No," he said finally.
"Was I way off?" Pan said.
"Pan, who are you going out with that is making you lie so much?" Gohan asked, ignoring her question.
Pan was speechless for a moment. "No one! Winn and I were studying, talking, and she was doing clothes stuff. That is all! I am not going out with anyone! God, just leave me alone for once!" she shouted.
"Pan, that is it. You are staying home tomorrow, and Saturday. That is no way to talk to your father, and I thought I taught you not to lie, especially to me," Gohan decided.
"No! Dad, you can't do that!" Pan screamed.
"I can, and I did. Now stay here and clean up this mess," Gohan ordered, and he left.
Pan slammed the door and slid down it, moaning. This was her big chance! She was finally going out with Trunks, and now her stupid father wasn't even letting her. No way, she decided. She had to go on this date, so she would. She picked up the phone and dialed Trunks's phone number.
_______
Trunks picked up the phone. "Hello?" he asked.
"Trunks, it's Pan," she said.
Trunks frowned. Pan sounded upset, and when Pan was upset, heads rolled. "What's going on? Are you Ok?"
"Um, yeah, I guess, but my dad is being way mean and he doesn't want me to go on this date because he says he could never like a jerk who made his daughter lie to him. So he doesn't want me to go. Actually, he forbade me to do it," Pan explained.
"All right...so does this mean you can't go?" Trunks couldn't keep the disapointment out of his voice.
"No way! Of course I'm going, don't worry. I wouldn't want to miss this. I just wanted to call you and tell you to pick my up from my window and not the door," Pan told him.
"Oh. All right. Cool," Trunks grinned. Pan may seem sweet and innocent to people at first glance, but when you got to know her, she was really quite rebellious.
"Great. So pick me up, from my window, a little after seven, Ok?" Pan asked.
"Sure," Trunks said.
"Ok. See you tomorrow, then," Pan said.
"Yep. Later."
"Bye." Pan hung up, and tried to still her racing heart. She would have to stop that, or she would make a fool out of herself tomorrow night. Just thinking about her date, and how she knew that she was actually going now, made her sigh in relief. She happily got her shower and went to sleep.
_______
Pan got home from school, ate something, did her homework, but she couldn't concentrate on anything. The only reason she did things was to take her mind off her date with Trunks that evening, but nothing helped. At six o' clock she went up to her room, locked the door, and made sure the vent was closed. She proceded to get on her outfit, which Winn called "The Wonder Outfit" because she said Pan looked "absolutley fab" in it, and put on the slightly uncomfortable shoes Winn had loaned her. Pan knew she should count her blessings, so she was thankful that #1, Winn had shoes that would be suitable, and #2, Winn and Pan had the same shoe size. But still. Pan had definatley had more comfortable shoes than this. She then took the makeup supplies out of her drawer and went over to her mirror. Pan frowned. This was the hard part. But she carefully, painstakingly, and slowly got it all on her face without too much trouble. Pan looked at herself, and realized she had no idea what to do with her hair. She panicked. She knew this was only Trunks, and she knew this was only her hair, but after years of being around friends that were obsessed about how they looked, Pan worried. She speed-dialed Winn's number.
"Winn! What do I do with my hair?!" she shreiked. Pan listened, and slowly calmed down. "Ok. Ok, yeah, I got it. Thanks. You are a lifesaver!" Pan said, and hung up. She went back to her mirror and got out a thin hair band. She did as Winn had instructed, and twisted her hair up into a high bun on her head. She turned her head this way and that, examining what she had done. Satisfied, she went over to her full length mirror. She gasped at her reflection. She looked so much older, more mature. At least, she probably would have if she hadn't been smiling from ear to ear. She forced herself to look serious. She remembered to button the first button of her cardigan, as Winn had done. She was stunning, and dared to admit it to herself. She gave a sigh of relief and looked at her clock. She had a couple more minutes before she could start to expect Trunks. She sat down on her bed and closed her eyes, calming her nerves and her heartbeat. She was going to be fine. Trunks would like her, the date would go smoothly, and everything would be just fine. Pan took a deep breath and heard a light rapping at her window. Pan took another deep breath and opened it.
Trunks looked her over from face to feet to face again, a habit he had gotten into over the years. "Pan, you look...great!" he said finally.
Pan blushed slightly. "Thanks," she said.
"Ok, how're we gonna do this? I mean, I can carry you..." Trunks offered.
"That'd work!" Pan said, too quickly. "I mean, yeah, I think that'll probably be easiest. But we should really get out of here!"
"All right. Come on," Trunks said. Pan inched herself out of the window and got into Trunks' waiting arms. They flew to the mall, after Trunks confirmed that Pan had eaten dinner. They landed a block away. Ok, Pan, you see? This is going FINE. And it is going to stay FINE. Pan, relax, because you are going to be just FINE! she thought. They walked into the mall, and roamed around for about two hours, talking and joking about school, TV, people, whatever. They were having a good time when Trunks suddenly stopped.
"What's up?" Pan asked, concerned.
"Um, that's my mom over there..." Trunks said, pointing.
"Where? Oh...oh, that isn't good. No, um, what do we do?" Pan asked.
"We avoid her at all costs," Trunks said, "But unfortunatley we're kinda far from the exit. What kind of mall is this, anyway, with only one exit?"
"I dunno, but, um, here! Into the bookstore!" Pan said, and quickly ran in with Trunks right behind her. They hid among the racks of children's books, right inside the window of the store so they could watch what was happening.
"Hm, The Bearenstien Bears New Girl in Town, I don't think I've read this one," Trunks murmered, looking at the selection of books.
"What?!" Pan asked.
"Just kidding. Should we try to get closer to the exit?" Trunks asked.
"Yeah, I guess so," said Pan, peering out the window.
"Pan?" Trunks asked.
"Yeah?" Pan said, looking up at Trunks. He leaned over and kissed her.
"Just in case we never get out of this alive," Trunks joked when they parted. "Ok, let's try it."
Pan nodded. She couldn't speak. Winn was going to be SO jealous!
So they store-hopped for a while, occasionally buying little worthless gadgits that they thought looked neat. But they didn't mind all the hurrying at all. It gave them a feeling of excitement, having to keep running from Trunks's mom. Trunks kissed her once more in the mall, right when they saw the exit. When they finally emerged onto the street they were breathless and laughing. When they calmed down a bit Pan looked at her watch, and was surpised that it was 10:00. The time seemed to go by like nothing at all. Ten o clock was her normal curfew, but she didn't feel like going home just then and said so to Trunks. She had gotten much more comfortable talking with Trunks over the last three hours, and of that Pan was very glad.
"So if you don't wanna go home, do you wanna go to the park for a little while?" Trunks asked.
"Sure, I'd like that. We can walk around. Or maybe actually sitting would be better," Pan said, and laughed. Trunks laughed too.
"Yeah, sitting's good." But they walked to the park, and walked around in a comfortable silence for a while, until Pan broke it by saying,
"You know, I'm starting to think that sitting may be a good idea now."
"All right," Trunks said, and with her, walked over to bench, and sat down with his arm resting on the back of the bench behind her.
Pan leaned back against Trunks's arm and closed her eyes.
"What, you getting tired already?" Trunks teased.
Pan opened her eyes. "Yeah right. I'm just thinking."
"'Bout what?" Trunks asked.
"Nothing, really. I didn't have enough time to think of what I was going to think about," Pan said.
Trunks laughed. "Whatever."
They were silent for a little while longer, until again Pan broke the quiet. "I...I had a really good time tonight, Trunks..."
"Well, it's not over till you say it is," Trunks said, stroking her shoulder.
Pan shivered. "Well...I don't want this to end yet...but I'm already in trouble as far as my dad is concerned..."
Trunks nodded. "I know. So are you saying you think you should go back?"
"I think I should, but I don't want to," Pan said.
"Yeah, but as you said, you're already in trouble. So come on, I'll take you home," Trunks said, and stood up. Pan stood up too, and since there was no one else around, got into his arms and Trunks flew off towards her house.
Pan breathed in the heavy scent of Trunks and smiled. His arms were warm, and she wanted to stay like this forever. Far too soon Trunks said, "Here we are, Pan."
Pan reluctantly got out of his arms and crawled in through her window. "This was fun, we should do it again," Pan said.
"Yeah. Next week?"
Pan nodded. "Sure, if I'm not grounded, which means if my dad doesn't find out, which means that...oh come on. Who're we kidding? Of course he's gonna find out. He always does. But yeah, I'd like to do this again." Pan said.
"All right, then I guess I'll find out in school or something what you're schedule is," Trunks said. "But I better go." Trunks leaned over and kissed her for a much longer period of time than he had when they were in the mall. He gently touched his tounge to her's and they parted. "Good night, Pan," Trunks said, and half smiled before he flew off.
Pan just stood there, a huge grin spreading slowly across her face. She closed the window. "Eeeee!!!!!" she squealed, as loud as she dared. She threw off her cardigan, kicked off her shoes, and began twirling around her room. "Winn! Call Winn!" she said, but before she could pick up the phone a very angry Gohan stormed into the room.
"Hiiiii Dad!" Pan nearly sang, forgetting that her father was likely to be extremely upset. She looked at him and quickly snapped back into reality. "Oh, um, yeah, hi dad!"
"Pan...you went on that date, didn't you?" Gohan asked in a very low, dangerous voice.
"No way! You said I was grounded, so I didn't go. Jeez, what kind of person do you think I am?"
"Pan? You are wearing makeup. And tight clothing. You HATE that stuff," Gohan said. He was doing his best to remain calm in the situation at hand, but he couldn't stay that way for much longer.
"I do? Since when?" Pan asked, knowing it was hopeless.
"You ALWAYS have. Pan, I specifically told you that you were grounded for tonight and tomorrow. What makes you think that you can just disobey my rules and go anyway?" Gohan asked.
"Look. Ok, fine, I went out on a date! Are you happy now?! Yes I disobeyed your stupid orders, yes I stayed out way past my stupid curfew, and yes I WILL DO IT AGAIN!" Pan screamed. She was tired, stressed, and she didn't feel like argueing with her father.
"Pan, I will not let you do that! Any guy who makes you lie like this and who makes you get this upset is no good. If you couldn't even tell your mother that you were going out on some date, that just proves to me that this guy is someone who we wouldn't approve of. I will not let you go out with some guy like that. And so for the next two weeks you will go to school, come home, and stay here. No friends, no movies, no dates, no nothing. You cannot just go around lying," Gohan told her.
"You can't do that just because I went on one date! I had to go on this! You don't understand!" Pan was getting upset. This wasn't fair. Her dad just didn't get anything!
"Why did you have to go on this date?" Gohan said, seeing how upset his daughter was.
"Because he's the hottest guy in school and he asked me out and he's really cool and I like him! That's why!" Pan shouted. She didn't even notice the tears that had started running down her face. Why did this have to happen tonight, when she had been so happy just minutes before?
"Pan, I understand that more than you think. But I still can't have you running around when I have no idea where you are," Gohan said gently.
"Then don't spazz out whenever I have dates! Let me go on them, so that the next time something like this might happen we can avoid it!" Pan exclaimed.
Gohan thought for a moment. "Fine," he said finally. "You can go on whatever dates you want. I can't really stop you. But your curfew is still 10:00, and I still am going to have to punish you for this."
Pan slumped. But then Gohan said, "You have to do the dishes for a week."
Pan brightened. "That's it? You're serious? Oh, thank you thank you thank you!" Pan yelled, and wiped away her tears.
Gohan smiled. "Uh huh. Just be sure to use your own common sense when choosing guys, all right?"
"I know, Dad," Pan said.
"Good. Now get your shower and get to bed," Gohan said, and walked out of the room. Pan undressed, got her shower, and crawled into bed smiling. She closed her eyes, and then opened them again suddenly. I wonder if Dad will still be this lenient with me when I tell him that the guy I've been dating is Trunks...she wondered. She shook her head. "I am not thinking about that tonight," she said aloud to the darkness. She then turned on her side, closed her eyes again, and fell asleep.

Pan and Trunks's First Date, Part 2
Author's notes: Ok, for all of you who were kinda left hanging at the end of "Pan and Trunks's First Date", this is to tie up the loose ends. No, actually, this is a story in itself, it just kind of happens after their first date. So if you haven't read that one first, I suggest you do. Anyway, I'd like to thank my friend Kelly for helping with this, and again, if you don't like the idea of Pan and Trunks together, than you probably won't enjoy this. For those of you who do, enjoy!
Bulma was throwing a party. People were just hanging out, drinking punch and talking amongst themselves, remembering old times and telling abut the new. What Trunks in particular wanted was some time alone with Pan. It wasn't easy to get away from Gohan, though. Gohan still didn't know that Trunks was the one she was going out with the whole time for the past---what was it now?---two months, Trunks thought. He grimaced, remembering all the close calls he and Pan had encountered. But Gohan was going to have to find out about them sometime. Trunks had just always felt that the time wasn't right. He hadn't seen Pan for a few days, due to a school vacation and being bogged down with homework, and he really needed to talk to her. It was their two month anniversery tonight, after all. Trunks had bought her a really nice necklace that he was anxious to give. He had it in his pocket right now. Trunks was trying to pay attention to what Gohan was saying to him, but his eyes kept drifting towards Pan. There she was---she was talking with Bra across the room. Trunks caught her eye and made a small motion with his eyes. She nodded slightly and turned back to Bra.
"-music is horrible. Even I could do better, no offense. Did she pick it out herself?" Gohan was asking.
"What? Oh, um, yeah I think so," Trunks answered, hoping he hadn't just made some terrible mistake with their conversation.
"Hm. I guess it shows, then huh?" Gohan sipped his punch.
"Yeah," Trunks said, and laughed a little to make it sound more convincing, even thouh he still had no idea what his trainer was talking about. "So why can't Goten come?"
"Too much homework. My mom made him stay home and study. Poor kid," Gohan said.
Yeah. Uh...I think I need to go help my mom with the....food...uh, yeah, so...talk to you later, K?" Trunks made up an excuse.
Gohan shrugged. "Ok, sure." He moved on to talk to his mother for a few minutes.
Trunks slunk outside to one of the nearest gardens and waited for Pan. He only had to wait a few minutes.
"Hey Trunks," Pan said, and sat down on a bench. Trunks sat next to her.
He grinned. "I got you something."
Pan turned to face him. "What is it?" she asked.
Trunks casually reached into his pocket. "Well, since it's our two month anniversery and all, I thought I'd get you something nice," he said, and held out the necklace.
Pan touched it in his hand. She was speechless. Trunks clasped it around her neck. "Thank you Trunks...it's great!" she managed.
Trunks grinned again. "Glad you like it," he said.
Pan looked embarrassed. "But I don't have anything for you..." she said.
He touched her chin with his fingers. "Don't worry about it. It's nothing, trust me. Besides, I have way too much stuff as it is," he complained.
"But I still feel bad about not having anything to give you..." Pan said.
"Well, how about something simple....like this..." Trunks said, and kissed her. Pan felt the same pleasent whir of excitement that she always got whenever Trunks kissed her.
When they parted, Pan smiled. "I think I can manage something like that," she said mischeiviously, and unbuttoned his shirt. She let it open and placed her hands on his now-bare chest. She looked at him craftily again and kissed him. This time when they parted they heard someone cracking up with laughter. They turned around and saw Bra laughing her head off.
"Bra?" Trunks and Pan both said at the same time.
Bra continued laughing, but now spoke. "You-you guys...this is gonna be great!" she squealed, and turned to go back indoors.
Pan and Trunks's faces were now matching expressions of horror. "Bra, you can't just go back and tell them! Come back here!" Pan said desperately. It would be bad enough having to tell Gohan about her and Trunks themselves, but it would be even worse if he heard it from another person. But Bra skipped merrily away then, and Trunks sat frozen for a split second before taking off after her. Trunks managed to button his shirt while he was running, so that people wouldn't think too badly of him. They skidded into the living room just as Bra stood up on a table and cleared her throat loudly. Everyone in the room looked at her, and Bra smiled sweetly at Pan and Trunks before beginning. Trunks shook his head and mouthed 'no!' but Bra started her little "announcement" anyway.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, may I have your attention please," she announced clearly. "I have an important...announcement...to make." Bra winked at Pan and Trunks. "Just now, I think you'll be interested to know, I saw Pan and Trunks outside. Now here's the clincher, folks. Trunks had his shirt off. Pan had her hands all over his chest. What's more, these two secret lovey doves were kissing!" Bra waited a moment for this to sink in a little bit. "That's all, thank you." she hopped off the table and waited to watch the fireworks.
Gohan, along with everyone else, was staring at Bra. But slowly their gazes turned towards the uncomfortable couple in the doorway. Gohan went over to where they were standing and towarded over them. "Is what Bra says true?" he asked in a dangerously calm voice.
Trunks straightened and looked Gohan in the eye. "Yes."
"Why didn't you tell me this before?" Gohan asked, his voice growing quieter and quieter, a sure sign that he was about to lose his temper very quickly.
"I-I was going to. We were going to...but the time never came up..." said Trunks. He was trying not to show that he was afraid, but he was. Deathly afraid. When Gohan was angry, there was no telling what he might do.
"The time never came--" Something caught Gohan's eye, and he yanked the necklace off of Pan's neck. "What's this?"
"Hey!" Pan exclaimed, trying to snatch it back.
"It's a necklace. I gave it to Pan as a gift. We've been going out for-" Trunks looked uneasily at Pan before going on. "We've been going out for two months, and the whole two-month thing is pretty important, so I got Pan a gift." Trunks took a deep breath. "Look, Gohan, I'm sorry, but this is the way it is. Pan and I like eachother, and we're going out, and there's nothing you can do about it. So...I'm sorry if you don't like it, but this is what is going to be happening." Trunks said firmly.
Gohan crushed the necklace in his hand, sending pieces of the chain flying every which way. Trunks was about to mention about how that necklace wasn't exactly cheap, but he thought better of it after seeing the look on his trainer's face.
"Dad! Why'd you do that? It was just a gift, jeez!" Pan complained.
Gohan ignored her question. "Pan. We are going home. Now. Come on," he commanded, and grabbed her arm.
"Ow! Dad, let go! You're hurting me!" Pan cried. He wasn't really, but Pan knew that if she really wanted her dad to get off her back, all she had to do was say that he was hurting her. Gohan let go, glared at her, and stalked out the door. He stood in the doorway glowering at them.
Trunks turned to Pan. "Pan...I'm sorry..."
"Forget it. It's half my fault anyway. We'll just have to...work something out, I guess..." Pan said, and touched his hand.
Trunks half grinned sadly. "Right. Well...good luck..."
"Same to you, Trunks, believe me," Pan said, half joking.
"PAN!" Gohan roared.
Pan looked up one more time at Trunks and then went outside. Trunks stood in the doorway. He forced a small grin and waved. "Thanks for coming, you guys! Hope you had fun!"
Gohan just growled at him and flew off with Pan and Videl at his side. Trunks sighed and slumped down the length of the door frame. He heard Bra quietly say something to Bulma. Trunks started, then turned his head slowly towards his sister with a murderous look in his eyes. "Bra, I am going to KILL YOU!!!!!" he yelled, and Bra ran away screaming. He started chasing her.
"Ahhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!" Bra shrieked.
"You don't deserve to stay alive, you little bitch!" Trunks yelled.
"Eeeek! Daddy, help meeeee!!!!" Bra screamed, still running.
Trunks almost caught Bra but his father stood in his way. "Move it, Dad!" Trunks yelled again, and shoved Vegeta aside.
Vegeta watched him as his son raced past him, surprised. "What?" he whispered. Trunks shouldn't have been able to move him, at least according to Vegeta. Vegeta recovered quickly from his surprise, and stood in Trunks's way again.
"Get outta my way!" Trunks roared. When Vegeta didn't move, Trunks yelled again in frustration and shot straight through the roof, sending bits of wood everywhere. He sped through the skies at top speed for a while, and didn't return home.
As soon as they got home, Gohan sat his daughter in a chair and paced in front of her, not knowing where to begin. "Pan," he said finally, "how can you lower yourself so much as to actually want to go out with Trunks?"
"What's wrong with Trunks?" asked Pan, indignant.
"Pan, Trunks uses girls just for...for sex! I don't want you to get involved with him, for your sake!" Gohan said.
"That is so not true! Trunks would never do that to me! And if you don't want him to be my boyfriend, too bad! We like eachother and are going to keep going out for as long as we can stand eachother!" Pan yelled.
"Pan, honey, we just don't want you to get hurt. You know it's true that Trunks has...taken several girls home...and he's had hundreds of relationships. He might just not be ready for commitment yet, that's all. With the father figure in his life it's no surprise. We're just looking out for you, Pan, that's all," Videl told her.
Great, Pan thought. When she uses that voice it's impossible to stay mad. But I need to prove my point, here! "Look, that's it! I am not going to just sit here and listen to you badmouth my boyfriend! He is a sweet and caring guy, Ok?! There is nothing you can do that will change my mind about him! So lay off!" Pan yelled, trying to ignore what her mother had said.
"There is plenty that I can do! From now on, you are no longer permitted to have any association whatsoever with that...that...monster of a boy! You will not see him, you will not talk to him, you will have nothing to do with him! And that is final! And just for sneaking around behind my back, you will be grounded for two months. Now go to your room and get to bed," Gohan ordered.
Pan opened her mouth to reply, but then shut it angerly. She ran up to her room and slammed the door. She flopped down on her bed, seething. What was the big deal, anyway? Pan knew about Trunks's previous "relationships" with girls, and that had been one of the first things they had settled. It wasn't as though Trunks had tried to keep it a secret or anything. Furthermore, Pan liked Trunks. They had been going together for two months now, and they never tired of eachother's company. "Arg!" Pan screamed into her pillow. It just wasn't fair. She heard a rapping at her window. She brightened, hearing the now-familar sound, and opened it to see Trunks hovering in front of her.
"Hey," Trunks greeted her quietly.
"Hi. What's up?" Pan asked.
Trunks groaned and rolled his eyes. "Don't even ask. Anyway, I was wondering if you wanted to come flying with me," he questioned.
Pan looked at her clock. It read 11:56. "Well, sure, but you know I can't fly."
Trunks grinned. "That was partly why I asked. Ok, come on," he said, and Pan got into his arms. They flew around for a little while, but Trunks decided to land on a hill so that they could talk.
Pan sat down on the grass, and Trunks did the same. "My dad says I'm not allowed to 'see you, talk to you, or have anything to do with you'," she said, imitating her father.
Trunks rested his elbows on his knees, and put his head on his hands. "This sucks. Why is everyone making such a big deal out of this?" he wondered.
Pan rubbed his back with her one hand. "I dunno. But don't worry about it. This'll all blow over, eventually."
Trunks looked up at her and smiled. "I know," he said. He leaned over and kissed her. Pan leaned in, deepening the kiss, and unbuttoned his shirt again. Trunks shrugged it off his arms. He put his hands around her waist and continued kissing her. Pan put her hands on his shoulders and-
"Pan? Trunks? What're you---oh my God!!" they heard Gohan's voice yell suddenly.
Trunks swore softly and put his shirt on. "Hi, Gohan."
"What are you doing here?!" Gohan yelled.
"We were talking, Dad," Pan told him.
"Pan. Go home. Now," her father ordered.
"Why?" Pan asked.
"Go!" Gohan yelled.
"But I can't fly!" Pan reminded.
"I can fly her," Trunks offered quickly.
Gohan glared at him. "No."
"I'll come back, I promise. And then you can do whatever it is you're going to do to me," Trunks said, and winced at the possibilities. He figured he would probably have some nasty bruises the next morning.
"Yeah!" Pan agreed. "Besides, I...um...I need to ask Trunks something!"
Gohan turned his glare to his daughter. "...You have five minutes," he said, and crossed his arms. "Starting now."
Pan and Trunks looked at eachother, and then Trunks quickly swept Pan into his arms and took off. He flew full-out, so that he would have the most time possible to talk to Pan once they were at her door. Trunks landed and put her down.
He was breathing hard. "Well, goodnight, Pan," he said, and kissed her on the cheek.
"Good luck with my dad...I get the feeling you're going to need it," Pan said sympathetically.
Trunks half smiled and stroked Pan's cheek. "Thanks, I think. But I'd better get going before he really starts beating on me," Trunks said.
Pan nodded. "Ok. Goodnight, then."
"Yep. Goodnight."
On the way back to Gohan, Trunks flew much slower. But he eventually got there, and Gohan still had his arms crossed. Trunks landed, took a deep breath, and walked over to the very angry father, saying, "Look, Gohan, I'm sorry, but-"
He was cut off by Gohan punching him in the gut. "Who the Hell do you think you are?!" Gohan exclaimed angerly.
Trunks doubled over in pain, but when he remembered what his father had always said, about 'not letting the enemy know how badly you're hurt', and straightened up again. He recovered his breath and then he spoke. "Gohan, I know you're mad about having us sneak around behind your back, but we know we were stupid in doing so and we're sorry. So can't you just forgive us?"
"That's not just what I'm angry about!" Gohan snapped back.
"O...k...then what else are you mad about?"
"What I'm mad about is that my daughter is going out with a low-down arrogant son of a bitch, who doesn't have half a brain enough to tell me what's going on, and who only has relationships with other girls just so he can use them for sex! That's what I'm mad about!" Gohan yelled.
Trunks was too shocked to say anything for a moment, but then felt the anger that he had inherited from his father start to build up inside him. He had the sense enough, however, not to respond to that, so he just growled low in his throat and collected his thoughts.
"Trunks, you have no right to take my daughter out like this! You will not see my daughter at all! I have no trust in you anymore!" Gohan said angerly.
"Gohan, I-" Gohan held up a hand, cutting Trunks off.
"Go home. Go away. I don't want to see you. Stay away from my daughter. She is not going to see the likes of you for a very long time," Gohan said.
"Gohan, jeez, we were-" Gohan picked Trunks up by the collar of his shirt again.
"Stay away from my daughter," Gohan hissed, and dropped Trunks on the ground. After glaring at him once more, Gohan flew off back home to have another "chat" with his teenager.
Trunks rubbed his back and looked after him. "This is going to be way harder than we thought...in fact, I don't know if this is gonna work at all..." Trunks said to no one in particular. Maybe tomorrow, when he went over for training, Trunks would have a chance to talk to him. He hoped so.
Trunks awoke earlier than usual the next morning, and took care in grooming himself and eating breakfast, so as to make the best impression possible on Gohan. He flew over to Gohan's house, and took a deep breath before ringing the doorbell.
Gohan opened the door and stared at him. "Go home," he commanded.
"Gohan, I need to tell y-" Gohan slammed the door in his face. Trunks sighed, and knocked on the door again.
"Go home!" was Gohan's muffled reply through the door.
"Gohan, I need to talk to you! Open the door!" Trunks said.
"Go home right now! Leave!" Gohan ordered through the door again.
Trunks was fed up. He had gotten zero sleep last night, and he was way to stressed out to care what happened anymore. He barged into the house and yelled as only the son of a Saiyan prince can yell, "When I say to open the door, you open the fucking door! I am sick of having you badmouth me and not know anything about what is really going on! So sit down and listen to me, dammit!"
Gohan tried not to show his surprise at the tone in Trunks's voice. Vegeta would've been proud, he thought. Gohan crossed his arms and glared at the boy. "If you have something to say, say it and get out of my house."
Trunks took a deep breath and let it out slowly, trying to calm his mind. "Ok. Look. Pan and I were going to tell you as soon as we found out we were serious about eachother, we honestly were. But on the day that I was going to tell you at training, you were in a really bad mood, and you also sent me away that day. And so the opportunity never really came up again," Trunks explained.
Now at about this time, Pan heard the voices of her dad and her boyfriend downstairs. Being the ever-resourceful, prepared person she is, she grabbed a tape recorder and an empty tape. She turned it on and sat at the top of the stairs, listening to the whole conversation.
"I don't believe you. Just how many times have you told a girl that you were 'serious' about her, and how many times have you moved on from her?" Gohan inquired.
Trunks set his jaw firmly. "A lot, I know. But Pan is different. She isn't an airhead, god forbid anyone who says that to her, and she can create a coherent sentence. She's different," Trunks said again.
Gohan wouldn't be budged. "Darn right she's different. But you aren't, and that's what my problem is. I will not have my daughter lured into your sick trap. So you will not see her. Period," Gohan said.
With that, Trunks snapped. Totally. He didn't even think as the words came out of his mouth. "Gohan, don't you think it's a little different of me to be going to a girl's house and arguing with her really powerful dad about letting me date her? Don't you think it's a little different of me to take every moment of my free time to go see her? Don't you think it's a little different of me to have the guts to see this girl behind her dad's back, when he can very easily break me into tiny pieces? Gohan, I don't say this much, but don't you see that I love Pan?!" Trunks cried, having to hold back tears of pure frustration.
Gohan was shocked. He saw it all, now, from Trunks's point of view. Maybe he was being a little harsh on them, but still...Pan hadn't even told him who she was going out with that one night in the first place, when she said that she had been "studying" with her friend Winn. And yet again...Trunks had never, ever said that he loved anybody, not even to his parents. To hear him say it about his own daughter...Gohan didn't know what to think. "Trunks...I-I..." he hesitated, not knowing where to begin.
Trunks was outta there. He ran out the door, hiding his face and flew off. Gohan stood in the doorway, looking after him. "I never knew...but you still...you still went around behind my back..." he said softly.
Pan, who had heard all this and was crying to, covering her mouth to hide her sobs, turned off the tape recorder and ran to her room. She played the tape over and over while lying on her bed, listening closely to the whole thing, especially to the part when Trunks had admitted his love for her. Pan held the recorder close to her. Knowing her father's stern and stubborn way, there was a good chance that might be the last time she ever heard from Trunks.
Pan didn't come down for dinner that night. She was still up crying in her room, still playing the tape. At Videl's urging, Gohan went up the stairs but hesitated once he was outside his daughter's door. His listened carefully, and heard Trunks saying "I love Pan!" over and over. He could also hear Pan's sobs, although they were quieter than what they had been a few hours ago. Gohan opened the door.
Pan looked up suddenly as soon as she saw her father watching her. She quickly turned off her tape recorder and shoved it under her pillow. She looked up at her father with a miserable expression on her face.
Gohan sat down on her bed. "You...really love him, don't you?" he asked finally.
Pan nodded. "Yeah Dad, I do."
"But you know about how's he's used other girls and things, I don't want that to happen to you," Gohan told her.
"I know Dad, but don't you think that we've already gone through that before? It's all cleared up between us now," she explained.
Gohan nodded. "Yeah, but...why didn't you tell me who it was that you were going out with all those times when you were with Winnifred?"
"Because I knew you would absolutely freak and not let me go. And I was too excited to take any chances."
"I guess I can understand that...but I still wish you told me," Gohan said.
"Yeah, I know. Sorry," Pan said.
"Yeah. So...you kept on playing that one part of the tape you obviously recorded of our conversation. As I recall, the part where Trunks was saying that he loved you?" Gohan asked, and raised an eyebrow.
Pan blushed. "Well, yeah...I didn't know when I would have a chance to hear his voice again, so I wanted a recording of him so I would remember what he sounded like," she said, and looked straight at her father as she spoke.
Gohan took a deep breath as though he were about to say something, but then let it out. "Pan, I just...I just want to look out for you," he said finally.
"I know, Daddy, but this is what I want to do right now, and I can take care of myself," Pan, said, and smiled a little.
Gohan smiled back at her. "I know you can. Well, if he really means that much to you...then I guess..." Gohan hesitated. "Then I guess I give you permission to see him again."
Pan jumped up. "Seriously?! Oh, thank you Daddy!" she exclaimed, and hugged him around the neck. She wiped her eyes. "Now if you'll excuse me, I need to make a phone call."
Gohan smiled again. "Go right ahead."
Pan picked up the phone and speed-dialed Trunks's number. While she was talking to him Gohan quietly excused himself to tell Videl how it went.
After hearing the news, it took Trunks only about 20 seconds to get from his house to Pan's window. After climbing in, he looked at Pan. There was no need for words, there was just the feeling of relief.
After a few minutes had gone by, and after Videl was certain she knew what had happened, Gohan went back to Pan's room to offer her something to eat. When he got there, however, he could see through the open door that Pan and Trunks were kissing passionately together, still standing. Gohan watched them for a second, then laughed to himself. He shook his head, smiling, and quietly closed the door.
The End
Author's notes: Ok, this one's finally done! You have no idea how long it took me to finish, I don't know why...anyway, did you like this one better than the first? Worse? Did you think that they both really sucked? If that's the case, then please tell, me nicely. [email protected], you know. I don't think this one turned out too badly...it's just sorta predictable. Anyway, thanks for reading!
