Hello!

If you are reading this post, you've hopefullly stumbled upon it in search of a Beta Reader/Editor...

I have done a small amount of freelance work in the past with a lot of free (hopefully helpful) give aways.

Now, you're probably wondering what I do, well luckily I am going into a new position at work that opens up my weekends and afternoons. So I am offering the following services:

Critical Analysis/Critiques

Editing (focusing on style, readability, character arcs, etc)

Beta Reading (chapter and full manuscripts welcome).

What I don't do:

Rewrite your story for you.

Remember, I am doing this for free. I am not ghost writing your story, that would be a service I charge for.

If I take on your story, I prefer to communicate through discord, but I am also open to other forms of communication.

This will not be easy. It takes time. It takes a week maybe or days of cries before I acquire the thing. From hundreds to ONES, text messages is soooooo challenging.

This will be the day where I limit myself to few things. Less talks, less text. Less YOU. Im crying right now while typing this message. Its too painful for this adjustments. Its too painful to do the opposite things like you used to do.

Im leaving my comfort zone. Im leaving what I used to do to make new environment and discover new things for us to grow.

This will be worth it I think. Im praying for the smooth process and approach. Im praying for His guidance. Im praying for this development.

Saturday. Quiet on these streets.. but been thinking about next moves. It’s almost that time.

Filmmaker:

Wow today. Wrote for hours. Edited for hours... the work was 🔥 today.

Wrote in my short film series. Making sure stories connect correctly. Genuinely. I sit there and build these worlds and it’s a total blast! I truly love creating, writing, filmmaking... AND performing in the stuff I write. It’s wonderful to be so close to the story. Story I care about... good story.

Then after hours of writing. I came home got a bite to eat then edited until the sun went down.. I promised myself to finish my assembly draft. And I did! It took a while but it was so much fun. I forgot how much I like to edit my stuff. It’s just like writing. A blank canvas that I can build from.. its like I get to write the story again. Or I have to take pieces of the puzzle 🧩 great images that I first conceived and put them to story and tale. I also added some special effects.. now now. It’s nothing crazy. Just a thing that will carry on throughout the 7 part series. To make it unique. Honestly I can’t say enough good things about how great it went.

Final Thoughts:

.. here’s the best part of my day. And this I when I know I have something I really am proud of.. I keep watching it. over and over. Periodically throughout the night. I found myself wanting to play my assembly draft again and again. When I tighten this story up it’s gonna be so good. This is technically my “next project coming off of Monroe. And I am already very pleased..

Ya know today reminded me. What the fuck am I doing.. I am a filmmaker. I am a filmmaker. I am a filmmaker....

“But I want to act. I love acting.. I can’t not act.”

Hey Josh, I have a solution to that issue. You can act in the movies you write.. why? Because I am a filmmaker.

And I am so excited and proud of my work. I have to keep going in this direction. Now I’ve been playing ball. Being a good sport. And working consistently.. but if I really want to make an impression and more importantly find that peace ☮️ that I’m searching for. It’s in filmmaking. As a matter of fact. It’s all in filmmaking. The home, The Family, The financial stability, the clarity , the growth, peace of mind, balance.. that’s where it is. All of it. You’ve done well kiddo. And will continue to do so. But you have stories to tell. Ones that crave to be heard. And the best part is only you can tell it.. so move forward with this business your building, this prod company you’re bringing to light. And these ideas that are burning inside you these images and paintings the poetry and sorrow.. the levity and laughter. All of it. Give it to the world. And the world will give it back to you.

So, in the past few months I became an associate editor at a popular fiction press, wrote for a bunch of online magazines, and got excited about going back to school to get my masters in renaissance history.

I’m but a small human bean, but I’m so happy.

Booklr and studyblr come through with new friends, because I am adorable and send care packages and notes and will go to museums with you and take super cute aesthetic pictures of you without complaining.
