Imagine Anthony coming home from a business trip to find that you’re expecting.

Anthony’s hand lingered on the door handle, a rare smile tugging at his lips. He had been gone far too long. Business had kept him away, but thoughts of you had kept him grounded. Every letter you sent, every word you wrote, he cherished them more than any deal he could broker.

As he stepped inside, the familiar scent of home wrapped around him like a warm embrace. He found you in the sitting room, curled up by the window with a book, a soft glow in your eyes when you saw him. But something else caught his attention, the slight roundness of your belly, something new, something that made his heart nearly stop.

"My love?" Anthony crossed the room in long strides, dropping his bags without a second thought. His hand hovered over your stomach, eyes searching yours for confirmation.

You smiled, your hand resting gently over his. "Yes, Anthony. We're expecting."

For a moment, he said nothing, his breath catching in his throat as the reality sank in. His child. Another member of his large and loving family was on the way.

Then, with a sudden burst of joy, he swept you into his arms, careful not to squeeze you too tightly. He held you as if you were the most precious thing in the world, because to him, you were.

"Why didn’t you tell me sooner? In one of your letters,” he asked, though his voice held only awe rather than any reproach.

“I wanted to surprise you,” you whispered, your fingers brushing his cheek.

Anthony kissed you, soft but fervent, then sat you back on the chair from whence he picked you up and he dropped to his knees, pressing his lips to your belly. “Hello in there,” he murmured, his voice full of wonder. “I can’t wait to meet you.”

In the days that followed, Anthony became a man on a mission, pampering you in ways you had never imagined. Each day, new gifts would arrive, the softest silks, rare teas, fresh flowers to brighten your room. He wouldn’t allow you to lift a finger, insisting that you rest while he handled everything.

“When you’re carrying my heir, you shouldn’t have to worry about a thing,” he’d say, though the tender look in his eyes suggested it was more than duty driving his actions. It was love, an overwhelming love for you and the life you were creating together.

He’d come home with all sorts of trinkets, paintings for the nursery, books on parenthood, even a small rocking chair he’d found at a market. And every night, as you lay in bed, his hand would rest protectively on your stomach, whispering promises to both you and your child.

“I’ll always take care of you,” he vowed. “Both of you.”

Writer Q&A Tag Game

Thank you to @winterandwords for tagging me in this one! I love Q&As, I don't care what the questions are!

1. What motivates you to write?

The pursuit of fame and fortune.

Just kidding. No, in all honesty, there was a time when I was obsessed with writing for the market. I still want to make money with my fiction someday, I'm not gonna lie. But actually, it's always been about telling stories that I know no one else will tell and that need to be told. If I'm that invested in a story, nothing will stop me from finishing it.

2. A line/short snippet of your writing that you are most proud/happy of. If not maybe share a line of someone else's work you love (just please credit them)

This is the last section of the opening chapter of The Adored. And it's going to get changed, so don't get too attached. But the gist of it has stayed through all drafts:

Hell, before this year, he’d never left the state of Minnesota. He and Afton didn’t eat pie on a boat on their first date, either. They didn’t even have a first date. But he’s let the world believe it, along with a million other lies that look pretty under pastel filters and amazing in 200 characters or less. Lies that dance center stage, that come alive under the lights. The lies are Afton’s truth. Thayer’s truth. Social media’s truth.

But they aren’t ours. Micah's and my truth is different. It’s underground, rotting in basements and prison cells, and all the dark places he still prays never to have to go back to. It’s about the night I saw Afton with a man in a dark Jaguar that turns Micah pale when he sees it, about the chains that still choke his heart and soul. It’s the jagged puzzle whose pieces he relied on me to put together, then told me never to reveal — the whats, but not the whys.

It’s why we’re really quitting.

But there’s one last truth. It’s what he’s trusting me to find. Me, the gawky giraffe in borrowed Balenciaga, with a bass she can barely play. The blurry face in the background. The tacked-on name at the bottom of the story. Bandmate Isley Nash.

I want to ask him, why me?

But before I can, it’s over. He throws himself backward off the stage. His body arches through space like a supernova. This is the moment they’ve been waiting for. They caress him, groping his hair, his legs, his junk. His eyes close. He’s lost. He’s theirs. For them, there’s only tonight.

And unless I find that truth, tonight is all there will ever be. 

3. Which OC makes you smile every time you think/talk about them and what are they like?

Micah (see above) is a reluctant teen rock star, a defiant rebel, a deadpan snarker, a (probable) murder victim, and my OG sad boi, so I'm always going to go with him.

4. What process of writing do you enjoy the most?

Editing. Drafting is trying to make something out of nothing, which is torture. Editing, meanwhile, is sculpting something you create (which is almost always terrible to start off with) into something good, which is fun and fulfilling. I will vomit unreadable, ungrammatical crap onto the page just so there's something there to edit when I go back. For me, that's where 99% of the real work of writing gets done.

5. What part of writing do you think you are the best at? (Yes stroke your own ego it's okay)

Dialogue! I think my dialogue is often funny and entertaining. Can I say that? I'm saying that.

6. What is something in the writeblr community is most enjoyable?

Getting tagged to fill out Q&As like this and ramble about myself ad nauseum! No, seriously, the community I've found on Tumblr has amazingly changed my life in the best way -- and I've really only been here a few months! Here, I've found talented writers, engaged readers, and all-around wonderful human beings, who do not only NOT judge me for my bizarre tastes, but in many cases actually share them. Finding a community like that is rare enough in the internet hellscape where we often find ourselves, let alone IRL, and I will be grateful for it always.

7. A writing tool/device you use that helps you with writing? (It could be speech to text, a writing program etc)

I've reluctantly come around to Grammarly, even though I snobbishly thought I didn't need it. Oh, and chatGPT. No, I'm kidding. I have tried it out, though. (Haven't we all?)

8. A piece of worldbuilding that you like in your own story? (It could be the magic system, a particular place in the story, a law etc)

CW for discussing slavery in a clinical, dispassionate way (IDK, might be a trigger for some).

I've long thought you can't really understand or write about slavery without understanding the basic economics behind it, whether historically or in a fictional context. In most fiction with institutionalized slavery, it's either completely controlled by a dystopian government or by one single, massive company. To me, neither seemed realistic, and I think this is where this world differs from other related ones. In the world of GSNBTR, slavery is like any other sector under capitalism: it's multiple businesses of various sizes and with different niches competing against each other for customers, while being regulated (relatively lightly) by the government (as lobbied for by special interests, of course). And that also means thinking hard about the kinds of roles slaves would be likely to fill in a modern society built on that system, where they come from (likely many different places), who would own, trade, and manage them (whether government, corporations, or individuals) and how they would be likely to be used -- ie., it's not just domestic servants and sex workers, in fact, those are likely the minority of slaves. The majority are fast-food workers, landscapers, cleaners, dishwashers, farmworkers, general laborers, etc. etc. I suspect some are also used in the entertainment industry in some capacity (i.e. some actors/musicians/athletes are literally owned by movie studies/record companies/sports leagues), but I haven't really puzzled this out in detail. This stuff isn't necessarily fun to think about, but it's a must in a story like this, and I definitely did spend a lot of time thinking about it.

9. What piece of advice would you say to encourage others to write if they are having a rough patch?

Are you writing what you really want to write? Always write what you want, not what you think you should. And if you can't write just for yourself, write for just one person. The rest of your audience will come naturally.

10. Tag some people whose works you love/have been your biggest supporters

I have to of course start with the talented writers whose work was so amazing it drew me in and got me to stay: @little-peril-stories @starlit-hopes-and-dreams

And then, to my astonishment, they reached out to support me and my own work, at times in ways far beyond anything I ever could have imagined. 💕

so one day i’ve posted a random thing and then i went to look at one of the tags i added for some reason and i saw one of your posts in that tag section(?). i don’t really remember what it was but i remember you were just talking abt something. then i saw scara on your pfp and something on my mind just told me to click and check your account. and i did (one of the best decisions i’ve made) AND SURPRISE SURPRISE you’re a fanfic writer and you write for my fav fandoms. then i read ‘blue in the light’ and you were recommending ‘plane crash blues (i can’t play the piano)’ at the start and i was like “y’know what yeah sure i’ll listen to it too why not” (again, one of the best decisions i’ve made) then after reading the fic i got obsessed with your writing and like i’ve binge read most of them if not all AND i also got obsessed with the song and like at that point i was only listening to that.

so i was like “y’know what i need more songs like that.” so i listened the radio spotify made for the song and i liked it so much i made it into an actual playlist and over the time i edited and made the pl bigger (and it’s still growing) and now CSH is one of my fav bands. and i followed you and after a while i joined the discord server and like you probably know the rest

KYOTO ANIMATION IS SO GOOD violet evergarden is soooo pretty and i love the plot + the soundtrack itself is lovely 🥹 i think it’s a really good example of how you can make people attached to characters in a very short time?? like at least for me personally i felt very impacted by each story of each episode even though it wasn’t anything overly complex or anything 🤔 it also has a really really good depiction of ptsd and the realities of war on a country and also on individuals!! amazing show i could go on forever about it

Hello my beautiful people! So this has been in the works for a while, I'm currently on a week holiday from my big girl job so thought I would take some creative time to finish this and hopefully finish editing the OG Zero To Six. The only thing she could feel was how her lungs burned as she ran and still then it wasn’t fast enough, but nothing could stop her as she could hear the angry shouts in the distance getting louder and louder and yet there was no way back. Skidding into a alley way she looked for somewhere to hide herself until she was sure the man had passed, ducking behind a dustbin just in time. Peaking around, she could see him stop in front of the alley it was almost like he could sense that she was there.

Eventually he seemed to moved on to which she let out an audible sigh now that she knew she was finally alone and out of danger.  Just to be safe she waited for another good five minutes just to make sure that he had actually moved on. Calmly she started to hoist herself up from behind the bin and started to make her way towards the entrance of the busy street. Just as she was about to turn the corner, he suddenly popped out from seemingly nowhere and stood firmly in front of her. 

“Shit.” She started to take steps backwards, hoping that she wouldn’t bump into anything as she kept her eyes firm on the man in front of her. But he only followed, mocking each step she cautiously took.

“Hey sweetie, you can’t hide from me, I will always find you. I promise that.” He tried reach for her but she dodged out of his way just in time, throwing a punch to his stomach and sending him to the floor. 

She started to run again, only to trip when he reach out a hand and grabbed onto her ankle which in turn slammed her to the floor. 

She jolted awake and found herself bolting upright in bed, chest socked with sweat as she breathed heavily.

Looking to her bedside table where the alarm clock blared at her she saw that it was only 3am, sighing she rubbed her face with the palm of her sweaty hand. Another nightmare. She had, had them a lot recently ever since her parents had passed away, but for some reason they seemed to be getting stronger as time went on this one being the worst. She was meant to be at the cafe at 7am for her shift and to meet with Tim so she honestly didn’t see any point in going back to sleep. It would probably just be filled of more nightmares.

Things had been rough recently. Scout had been in need of money and being a hacker came with specific skills that specific but sometimes scary people where in need of. But most of the time it was the people who were being hacked that she had to worry about and her past few jobs had been very suspicious, but money is money and she need it to survive. That and she trusted Tim to keep her safe.

Luckily she hadn’t run into any trouble as yet, but the dreams she kept haven’t felt like someone was trying to tell her that she was playing with fire and she was eventually going to get burnt.

Scouts life had always been complicated and strange, enough that she was used to anything people could throw at her. In two days time her and Tim would go about their biggest job, with the biggest pay off they had ever got. Of which most of the money she wanted to save but there were a few debts she needed to pay and then that would be the end of them and she would be free.

She was sceptical of the job at first when Tim had talked her through it but then he mentioned how much the guy would pay she thought to herself why not, they had probably been through worse. She decided to take a seat across from Tim and try without annoying him too much to get some details about their mission that he’s been keeping very secret about for months now. "How far have you got? We nearly there?"

"Nearly! but We'll talk about it tonight. Cant talk about it here, too many people you never know who might be listening." He peered over the top of the laptop giving her a scowl. "Go on bugger off and do your job I need peace and quiet if this is to go smoothly!"

"Geez okay crabby! I'm going, I should take that coffee off you." He didn't respond, nor even look up at her again so she walked away shaking her head in disbelief. She headed back to the counter where her boss now stood alone at the cash register, she was surprised and saddened that the mystery handsome man had seemingly left before she could get one last good look.

She didn’t know it then but the next following weeks would bring her much trauma and pain but this evil was necessary for her to die and be reborn again into a new family that would actually care and love for her the way she’d always wanted to be loved.

That and she’d gain the most important person she’d ever met, or had they already met? And they didn’t even know it.

We try to keep positive stuff in the main tags (in general tags), occasionally there will be stuff about Twitter or negativity about them but generally, as far as I've seen, they aren't heavy, or they are but they're pretty solid arguments that aren't like, loud, yelling, or gives off that vibe, I suppose.

Edit: Guess I’ll put this in here since everyone is just glossing it over to look for the negative parts. I never said you couldn’t ship SessRin. I never said I was anti-SessRin. I know I tagged it as such, but it isn’t because of my opinion. I have friends who ship SessRin. I love those friends. What I mean by these statements is that the community in general is toxic because of the people in it who have caused problems for others. Like, for example, the person who felt the need to jump me about my personal ship because it wasn’t with Rin when I wasn’t even talking about a ship. Or the people who harassed the English voice cast to the point that even they were calling the SessRin community toxic. Or the people who are fighting to have any Sesshoumaru shipping blog deleted if Rin isn’t involved. I am capable of peacefully sharing Sesshoumaru with other shippers if they could be civilized. But since they aren’t, then I feel like I have the right to speak my mind. And those of you who feel the need to fight me about it are just proving my point because you’re so worked up that anyone could have a different opinion that you absolutely have to argue. That being said, I also stated that I would never have said a word about this if it weren’t for the fact that Rin is underage in Yashahime. Sunrise is trying to lie about how much time passed. They clearly didn’t do their own math. And while I’m fine with SessRin shippers who ship her as an adult, I will not tolerate the people who justify her being underage in Yashahime. Also to those trying to argue about Yashahime being canon, I would love to provide the evidence to the statement I saw, but it’s gotten lost in the sea of people arguing about the show being canon. New edit: @tiny-foots​ It’s not what I saw but I was provided this where Rumiko stated InuYasha was complete within herself meaning the story was done. She left it up to Mr. Sumisawa to write. I am going to start off by saying that I always said I would never be anti-ship. But if this is what it's come to then I am completely against what is happening right now.

Let's just pretend my OTP isn't actually my OTP right now. What I ship has nothing to do with this. In fact I am a multi-shipper, so don't even think about that. This is beyond more than my personal shipping opinions. InuYasha was my comfort series during a very rough time and Sesshoumaru is my favorite character because of his massive character development and redemption arc. He is an astounding character.

The fact that Sunrise has "officially" (I refuse to say canon because it's not canon. Rumiko said so. Fight me!) paired him with Rin is the most disturbing and disgusting thing they could have possibly done. Again, I am not against people who do ship them. If that's what they enjoy then that's fine.

HOWEVER!

The SessRin community is toxic AF! They have been for a long time and now they've been given a reason to really be horrible people. And that's only one reason why I'm disgusted by this entire thing. And mind you, since Yashahime isn't canon anyway, I wouldn't have cared as much if they hadn't done it the way they had. Let me break this down for you. I'm going to list why SessRin is unhealthy, toxic, and morally wrong and I'll even list some of the justifying arguments shippers have tried to use to support it and explain why they're wrong too.

Pairing Sesshoumaru with Rin destroyed his character development and redemption.

Sesshoumaru's father had a strong desire to see his son learn compassion. Toward everyone! Humans and youkai alike. He learned that lesson through both a human and a youkai. Rin and Kagura. These were the characters who were meant to teach him to be compassionate toward others. By pairing him with Rin you have taken away that compassion that he learned. It's like sticking a giant middle finger up to all the humans he was supposed to learn to respect and say he only tolerates Rin and no one else. There goes his redemption! Way to go, Sunrise!

SessRin was never meant to become a thing.

Rumiko went out of her way to create a bond between Kagura and Sesshoumaru as well as Kohaku and Rin. It's clear who we were meant to ship them with. These characters were placed as a barrier between Rin and Sesshoumaru to avoid an improper ship. SessKagu is the ONLY canon Sesshoumaru ship.

No child in their right mind grows up to fall in love with the man who raised them from childhood.

And if they do then they need to seek counseling because that's not healthy. A normal child would grow up to view that man as her father.

And how about these lame and unjustifiable arguments that SessRinners are throwing out.

"He waited until she was an adult! She's 18!"

Do some research. She is not 18! Look at the the facts that have been compiled. She is 15 MAX. She's underage!

"This was normal back then!"

No it was not! Again, do your research! Nobility groomed children to be wives, yes, but it wasn't normal. Even then the girl wasn't bedded until she was an adult. Also, would you portray a black person, in media, as an abused slave in 1800s America by your story's "good guy" and say it's okay because it was normal back then?  I don't think so!

"They were meant to be together! It was a given! It was clear!"

Again, no it wasn't! Kagura was placed in the story for this purpose! She was in love with Sesshoumaru and he was falling in love with her. They are the ONLY canon Sess ship!

"Well, you're forgetting about the original series being about a 15-year-old girl getting with a 50+ year old man!"

There are so many reasons why this is an illogical statement. - InuYasha and Kagome met when they were mentally the same age. Sess and Rin met with he was mentally a young adult and she was EIGHT! - Kagome and InuYasha didn't have an official relationship until she returned from her time after three years... WHEN SHE WAS 18! - Every moment in the original story where Kagome was in an inappropriate situation she got mad and did something about it! She didn't just giggle and let the men around her ogle or touch her! - And my personal opinion, I also believe InuYasha and Kagome’s relationship was toxic anyway, so don’t try to hold that one over me. There’s a reason I’m a multi-shipper.

Who’s putting words in her mouth? She stated, in an interview plain as day, that Yashahime was not canon! She didn’t write it. An official publication does not canon make! Not to mention “the woman who changed him” is such an incredibly vague statement. If it was meant to be Rin, she’d have just said Rin. As mentioned before, she was very adamant about pushing the Kagura x Sesshoumaru ship. And Kagura definitely changed him. Was it not his compassion toward her specifically that regained his arm and gave him a sword? I’m pretty sure “the woman who changed him” was meant to be a vague statement because the canonical intention was just to leave it open to interpretation and is probably meant to be some random village woman who bonded with Sesshoumaru and ultimately completed his change.

And if, by chance, she did mean Rin, she didn’t say it was canon. Just that she was his wife meaning that is who Sunrise set as his wife in the show. Think about it? She was answering the question of “who had his children in Yashahime.” If she meant Rin, she was avoiding spoilers and giving a hint to who Sunrise chose as his wife. That’s not saying she would have picked Rin, herself. She didn’t write it. So it seems to me that you are the one putting words in her mouth.

Now tell me, if your best friend from grade school who was adopted told you when she was a teen or even an adult, "My dad's hot. We decided to sleep together." would you not find that disturbing? That's SessRin right now.

Also:

HANYOU NO YASHAHIME IS NOT CANON! THIS IS PER RUMIKO TAKAHASHI HERSELF! DO NOT TRY TO JUSTIFY THAT SESSRIN IS CANON NOW BECAUSE IT ISN'T! IT'S JUST AN OVERGLORIFIED AND POORLY WRITTEN FANFICTION!

ONLY THE MANGA IS CANON! OG SESSHOUMARU IS THE ONLY SESSHOUMARU!! That being said, I still say if you do happen to be a SessRin shipper, then you do you. Enjoy what you want. But what is happening right now does not give you a right to justify any toxic behavior that your community is expressing. Again, I wouldn’t even be mad if Sunrise hadn’t portrayed Rin as still being underage. I won’t stand to see people justify this!

To say that you had been devastated would be an understatement. They explained to you that due to the serum’s structure, he could only start to recover once his brain was able to send commands to the injured area. But Bucky hadn't opened his eyes in 3 weeks and with each passing day, the terrifying reality of him not returning to you became a more realistic one.

The impact on the team was so visible that fury pulled them from the public eye until further notice. You felt bad for the new recruits who had just earned a spot at the avengers complex. It was supposed to be the most exciting time of their lives but grief met them at every turn.

Natasha was the first to come to terms with the reality of the situation. She cried that night, in the arms of everyone else, but not a single mention of his name after that. You wondered what went on in her head when you saw her pass in the hallway. You knew it hurt her, you could tell by the small flinch that appeared on her face when she saw you. Just like everyone else in the compound, she saw Bucky in your eyes. It was hard trying to navigate the world as simply a reflection of tragedy.

During the grieving process, Sam served as the opposition to Nat. He seemed to keep the stoic neutrality he often embodied for the team as every leaned on him for support, but you were there when he visited Bucky every night. He always brought a new movie and stories of the day to fill the time, insisting he was there to comfort you, but the tears in his eyes and collection of Bucky's favorite films said otherwise.

You never minded though.

Sitting in the industrial hospital room alone for the entirety of the day was draining. The silence was only filled with the beep of his heart monitor and the sound of air that incubator rushed into his lungs. However it wasn't the lack of speech that truly made this silence heartbreaking, rather the lack of mechanical whirrs that left his arm when it swung around you or the missing jangle of dog tags that seemed to follow him everywhere.

Your only attempts to settle the silence were to fill it with the last bits of conversation you could remember. You could still feel the cold marble of the balcony under your feet and you hear the tear of flesh that followed his now empty promises. It took away your breath and it stopped any chance of sleep that you had, encompassing your every waking minute.

If you had only been an inch to the right.

Your hand found his as tears quietly fell from your eyes and a pained whisper came out of your mouth, “I would take it all back if I could.”

When you think about how that evening started, you wish you could live there forever. If you could only warn yourself. Your hand tightened around his as you begged to feel the warmth of his embrace once again. A knock invaded your memory, pulling you into reality as you wiped the tears from your face. “Come in”

“Hi Y/N”

You relaxed as the doctor entered the room. “Hi Dr. Blake, I can leave if you need the room” you said as you began to gather your phone and wallet.

“No! No, we are just re-checking for a change in vitals Y/N, you are absolutely fine”

As he pulled the flashlight from his pocket and began the neural functioning exam he completed every 6 hours, you allowed yourself to fall back into that moment. Sitting on the balcony, the promises he made were heavy on your heart. You would give anything to live that life with him.

“NURSE!” the startling exclamation from the doctor pulled you from your thoughts as you shot up from your chair. “He’s coming to, trying to breathe on his own, we need to remove the incubation tube!”

Your wide eyes brimmed with hopeful tears for the first time in weeks as they pulled the tube from his throat.

It took only days for his motor and verbal skills to return due to the serum finally being able to work, but you began to distance yourself from the soldier as the team began taking more and more of his time. As their hold on him tightened, your hold on yourself seemed to slip away. The nightmares became worse and every open door and window caused panic you had never felt before.

After the incident, your week-long stay turned into a permanent living situation. Unable to return to your room, you slept in Bucky’s hospital room while he was under. Upon his awakening and subsequent proposal, you were forced to confront the fear that entered your chest in order to gather your belongings and move them into his room. Hand in hand, you entered the room with Bucky. The white marble was still stained with his blood and upon seeing it, your breath caught in your throat.

“Y/N…”

You wiped your eyes before grabbing his hand, “I’m sorry Buck, I didn’t mean to- I just…”

His hand tightened around yours, “baby, i really don't mind grabbing your stuff”

“Bucky, you shouldn't even be in here... It’s not good for you’

“I’ve been through worse doll,” he said with a small chuckle.

It fell on deaf ears as you turned away from the balcony and into his chest. “I almost lost you…”

“I’m here… I promise”

Also your analogy is wrong. You owned the house, you were kicked out of it (exciled) then you came to a different place, you were beaten there, your property was robbed and stolen. Barchie Theory

Full disclosure here, this isn’t my theory. It’s something I’ve seen going around on twitter in various different comments that I’ve decided to put all in one post because I think all these smaller theories or details could be linked together to make one big theory if that makes sense and I was wondering what others might think of this theory as I am still a little unsure of it myself.  

Ok so the theory is that in 5x14 we will get a love confession. To be honest when I saw that tweet that is literally all it said just ‘I think we’ll get a love confession in 5x14.’ So I’m not really sure where the original theory came from but there are other tweets as well that could be relevant to this theory. Another thing people have pointed out which could support this idea that 5x14 will be a big episode for Barchie is because madchen amick posted this:

This reveals that the episode she is directing is 5x14 and it’s called The Night Gallery. Some twitter uses have made the suggestion that title could be related to this picture that was released a couple of weeks ago by the set designer:

This picture shows a collection or a ‘gallery’ of pictures. The title like all the other titles of Riverdale this season is linked to an existing media. This one is a TV show called ‘the night gallery.’ The premise of this tv show was the host would show three paintings and each painting would be linked to a story which would be told (it was mostly horror stories). I could see how this picture could be related here. My theory going off of this is that the episode will follow a similar format as the tv show the night gallery. I have heard that the actors who played little Betty and Archie in 4x18 were seen on set so we can assume at some point we will get Barchie flashbacks. Now to be clear it is not confirmed that the picture above is from 5x14 and its not confirmed that the child actors will appear in 5x14, this is just speculation. But I could see them showing us one of these pictures then it flashing back to the memory/ story that is in that picture. Then showing us another picture and us having another flashback to another moment in Barchie’s past. So yes in my opinion I could see there being a link between the title of the episode and the picture of all the photo frames. 

Another twitter account pointed out that Ted Sullivan one of the writers said this about 5x14:

 Again this doesn’t say anything in particular about Barchie but seeing as Betty is such a big part of his life I again could understand why people might come to the conclusion that something important with Barchie will happen in 5x14. Especially if you combine it with the title and the photo of the picture frames. On top of that Ted also said this about a certain episode in season 5: 

When questioned further he elaborated a little more:

So naturally with the hmm at the end many people are speculating that its in reference to Barchie as most comic book fans are Barchie fans and this implies that the comic fans will also be very happy. 

Now me personally not to be a debbie downer but I do feel like alot of this information is too vague to say for definite that this means we are getting Barchie in episode 14 but again I can see where people are coming from with it. For me I think the most convincing ‘evidence’ is the title and the photo of the Barchie pictures but it is also worth noting that Ted posted the tweet about Archie having a powerful storyline in episode 14 the day after he posted about a ‘VERY special’ episode, so that could be an indication that episode 14 is the very special episode he was referring to. I mean the language he uses to describe the two episodes is very similar, describing something as ‘very special’ and something as ‘near and dear to your heart’ definitely, to me, has similar vibes. But again on the flip side of that its also worth bearing in mind that there could be at least some degree of baiting going on here so take it with a pinch of salt.

Also this is a sort of side note but as I mentioned baiting. Yesterday Evan did post a picture of Cheryl and the bulldog mascot and zoomed in on the mascot and put the caption ‘me patiently waiting for tomorrow’s episode (and #barchie)’ before later editing it to remove the Barchie part. Now why he went back and edited it I’m not sure maybe because he knew that there wouldn’t be alot of Barchie in this episode and realised it properly wasn’t a good idea to tag it with Barchie for an episode that didn’t have any content for them? But this could be an indication that there is still more of Barchie’s story to tell. But again this could also just be them baiting us, I’ll be honest I am very wary of the writers right now.    

I mean as far as timelines go episode 14 could be the perfect time for Barchie to have a love confession. I’ve said a few times now that I could see something happening between Barchie in the season finale like a kiss or confession from one of them as they think they are dying that is then ignored after like with Leyton in season 3 of OTH. If this were to happen in episode 10 then that would give four episodes of Barchie being confused about what happened and their feelings about it before the ‘big confession’ where they both finally lay it all out on the table. Then you have another five episodes after that where they are together for the remainder of the season. So that would be 4 episodes where they are FWB, 4 episodes of them being confused about their feelings after a spontaneous kiss and 5 episodes of them as a couple which to me seems like a logical timeline. 

Whilst I am not sure if they will have any scenes in this episode I really do think they will have something in ep 10 because the show is going on a longish break so they are going to need to keep the fans interested. By having Veronica and Archie get together last episode, then having Betty and Jughead investigating this week, if they then have something happen between Barchie in the midseason finale then the will have all three sides of the fandom itching for more because they want to know what will happen next for their ships. I really don’t think its a coincidence that they’ve brought back the og ships this close to the midseason finale and so that’s why I think they’ll also bring in some Barchie content to keep everyone invested whilst they are on break. 

Anyway think I’ve waffled on long enough what does everyone else think, do you think its possible that Barchie will have a love confession in episode 14 or are you still thinking it’s done and dusted for Barchie?

Four fandoms that have peaked your interest? The Mentalist (specifically Jisbon) was my OG fandom/ship and the reason I got into the fandom world on Tumblr. It was an amazing time getting to watch our slow burn ship finally become canon together! Then I also have a blog for Brooklyn 99 (specifically Peraltiago), and another blog for Game of Thrones (specifically Gendrya - although the last season of that show completely ruined it for me). And then of course the lovely Inuyasha fandom that I recently joined and has been amazing! :)

How has the pandemic been treating you? Not great. The beginning of quarantine definitely brought up my anxiety for a bit. I was super paranoid about my health, constantly taking my temperature and freaking out that I had Covid even though I wasn’t going anywhere or seeing anyone. Also couldn’t stop constantly refreshing the news and obsessing over the number of cases. Luckily that subsided after a while, but now I just feel really blah and depressed all the time. I’m sure pretty much everyone is feeling the same.

Recommend a movie: I love musicals, and one of my favorite movies of all time is Across The Universe. It’s a musical using all songs by The Beatles. I’m not a mega fan of The Beatles, I like them a normal amount, but I LOVE this movie. I saw it multiple times in theaters and watch it every so often.

School, university, occupation, etc: I have a BFA in Communication Design (basically Graphic Design but the program had other stuff like coding and video editing so they made it more general) from Parsons The New School for Design in NYC. I used to work as a Communication Designer for 4.5 years at a small ecommerce company. I loved the work I was doing but my boss was a manipulative narcissist (similar to Trump in certain ways). Now I work for an architectural photographer doing post production. Basically he takes photos of buildings (a series of them on a tripod) and I combine the different exposures into one final image. At this point I feel like I can do almost anything in Photoshop if I have enough time haha. I have had to remove the craziest shit from photos that I would have never thought possible. 

Do you prefer heat or cold? I very much prefer the season of Summer over Winter, but I guess I slightly prefer cold over heat as far as comfort level. I cannot sleep if it’s humid/hot, I always need the AC on. If I’m cold I can at least snuggle under tons of blankets.

Name one fact others may not know about you: I’ve been married for 4 years to my middle/high school sweetheart. We’ve been dating since I was 13, so we’ve been together for more than half my life! Although I just realized that’s not really a fact about me so also I’m an only child lol

Are you shy? Yes and no. I’m really shy when it comes to initiating conversation/starting friendships or knowing what to say at first. But if someone starts a conversation with me, or once I know you better, I can talk forever lol.

Rate your life from 1-10: I could go with a 7 or 8. I can’t complain too much. I have a great life with my husband, our house, and our two dogs. And amazing family and friends. Just haven’t been taking care of myself because of pandemic-related depression, and I’m pretty over my job. But things could be much worse. I’m really grateful for my life!
