Updates to browser support
Thank you for using Gyazo and Gyazo Teams.
We've made some updates to the supported browsers for Gyazo (including Gyazo Teams.) These updates are based on recent announcements about the retirement of Internet Explorer 11 and Microsoft Edge moving to Chromium technology in particular.
What's new
Current support for each OS and browser has been clarified. See below.
The version of each OS is not specified, and the most recent up to date version is assumed.
Only the latest versions of Microsoft Edge (MS edge) based on Chromium will be supported.
Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) is no longer supported. If you are using an unsupported browser including IE 11, please switch to using a supported browser.
Fully supported web browsers
The currently supported browsers and operating systems are shown below. Note that this table refers to the latest stable version of each web browser.
Image viewing
The way Gyazo behaves in unsupported browsers has changed, including Internet Explorer 11.
When you access an image page (any Gyazo page with a link like this https://gyazo.com/eb1339b2ef4e93e0d1e51766523de9ff ), you will be redirected to the direct image link.
As a result, you can still view images, but you will not be able to view the /captures page or to see and edit the image details.
If you are affected by this change, you'll need to start using a fully supported browser.
Gyazo applications
If your operating system is out of date or is not supported you may not be able to upload, view images, or use other features of the Gyazo website or applications for Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS.
It may be hard for us to provide customer support in these cases. We apologize for the inconvenience, and ask that you use a supported operating system as well as browser.
Changes to IE11 and MS Edge support
For some time now we have informed people on our help page that we do not recommend the use of unsupported browsers, especially IE11. However, we know some people continued to use IE11 and we continued to develop support it as much as possible while making modifications as necessary.
However, we have now stopped all updates for IE11 except for vulnerabilities. The latest features and user experience are no longer supported. Also note that Microsoft has recommended migrating to Edge since 2018.
We have also discontinued development for the older versions of MS Edge with the release of the new MS Edge based on Chromium technology in January 2020. Chromium is the core browser technology behind Google Chrome, Brave, and other major browsers.
The newer version of MS Edge is available here.
Safari support is unchanged
We will continue to support Safari with the latest stable version of mac OS only. This may not include the default version that ships with Mac OS, so please update Safari to maintain full support.
More to come
We always have asked you to use the latest browsers. While we did our best to support older browsers, sometimes this resulted in increased development costs and prevented us from providing the best experience using the latest browser features.
In light of this situation, as well as with the news from Microsoft about retiring Internet Explorer 11 and the release of the Chromium version of Microsoft Edge, we have made the decision to stop supporting these older browsers.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask that you please use a modern browser when using Gyazo such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Gyazo uses the latest web browser features, including PWA (Progressive Web App) technology for uploading through our mobile apps.
We will continue to make use of the latest web browser features to improve our service for you.

RIP Internet Explorer 😇 Microsoft is killing off their 25-year-old browser, Internet Explorer. According to the Independent (@the.independent), Microsoft announced this past week that they will be getting rid of Internet Explorer on August 17th, 2021. According to the announcement, the web app for Microsoft Teams will stop supporting the most recent version of the browser— Internet Explorer 11—this coming November, while the rest of the services apps in 365 will stop supporting it next year. Microsoft Edge will replace Explorer and will have more features than Explorer since it will rely on Chromium software which was created by Google for their Chrome browser. I don't internet explorer much but whenever we install fresh windows, the internet explorer used to be the default browser and now it will not 😐 What are your views on this take? Microsoft launches Chromium based Edge browser on Windows, macOS devices
Chromium-based Microsoft Edge is definitely not available for preview and can be downloaded on all supported versions of Windows and macOS. The new development took place a year after the company Redmond announced methods of the current Edge HTML browser engine and switched to the Chromium engine. Microsoft has provided a qualified website for qualified Windows and macOS users on which they can download the latest version of Edge, the Edge 79 stable. Windows 10 users will also begin migrating to the new Microsoft Edge in the coming weeks. The first rollout of the latest Microsoft Edge is limited to the "Subset of Windows Insider" in the Windows release preview ring. In this way, Microsoft Beta can test the rollout approach for the public. For users who can't wait to experience the Chromium-based Microsoft Edge on their Windows devices, and for users who have a Mac, there is a website where the latest experiences can be downloaded directly. "If you install Microsoft Edge on a current Windows 10 device, the previous (older) version will be replaced on your device. In some cases, you may be asked to install additional updates. Your favorites, passwords and basic settings are automatically updated in the new Microsoft Edge moved. Web apps (created in Edge on blogs) and Microsoft Edge preview channels (like Dev or Canary) are working without interruption. Rana will continue, "the company wrote in a blog post. As was seen last month, Microsoft plans to gradually make the new Edge version available for Windows 10 1709 (Redstone 4, also known as RS4) and new builds. Microsoft Edge users on Android and iOS will automatically receive updates in the coming days. The new Chromium-based Microsoft Edge will receive updates based on an "approximately six-week" cadence. The company also announced that Edge users will continue to receive the next major updates through the beta channel. In addition, Microsoft Edge 80 will be added to the beta channel shortly and is expected to be released in February as a stable update. Microsoft has highlighted the Chromium project, which has received more than 1,900 contributions in areas such as touch and language, as well as access to modern inputs, including digital input. All of these posts improve surfing not only in the new Edge browser but also in other browsers that use other search engines like Google Chrome. The latest version of Microsoft Edge has new privacy-related features, such as tracking prevention, which can be used to restrict tracking by advertising and cookies by default. There is also a new tab layout that allows users to choose what type of messages they want to see on their new tab screen. In addition, Microsoft has provided Microsoft searches for AAD support, Internet Explorer mode, 4K web streaming, Dolby audio, incoming PDF files, support for Chrome-based extensions and Bing integration for different people. "Of course, innovation, testing, and new features don't stop today, and this first version is just the beginning," said Joe Belfor, Windows’s corporate vice president, in a separate blog post.
