ok so i’ve like been dead forever and ever but like hear me out:
eddie roundtree x dunne!reader!!! like omg it would be so cute and like it’s everything to me.
imagine, eddie can’t help but be smitten with the youngest dunne, absolutely DOWN BAD, and he just cannot care what billy or graham would think about it. he’s just too whipped for them to even care. he would do all kinds of stupid stuff like sneaking out to see them in the middle of the night, climbing in their window to see them and play cringy guitar songs for them.
idk it’s something that is on my mind 24/7

the thrill of the chase.
pairing: eddie roundtree x fem!dunne!reader
content warnings: kissing, not edited, suggestive, really bad flirting/teasing, eddie's a dork but we love him for that!!

It’s late in the evening when the neighborhood finally slows to a stand-still and everyone retreats away from the Dunne household and back to their own homes. Everyone had been desperate to get a glimpse of the infamous Daisy Jones and The Six, and while you can’t deny that it was lovely to be back home, seeing your family and old friends, its nice to finally have the privacy that none of you have been entitled to since becoming famous.
Its eerily quiet in your childhood home. Your mom had taken full advantage of the festivities early on in the day and has now fallen asleep on the sofa with a glass of red wine still clutched in her left hand. You quietly set it down on the coffee table before throwing a blanket over her and trailing up the staircase.
Graham is staying at the hotel across the road with Karen, and Billy and Camila have not long put Julia down for the night. They’ve disappeared into their own bedroom and you don’t want to think about what your brother and his wife are doing behind that closed door.
You creep across the landing in your bare feet before slipping into your bedroom and slotting the lock into place. As your eyes search the room, you notice that little has changed since you, Camila and the boys up and left for California a few years ago. It makes your heart ache a little, honestly.
So much has happened in such a short period of time, and while you would not change it for the world, you have to admit it can be a little overwhelming and scary at times, which is why it feels weird to be back where this “silly little dream” all started.
Shaking your head, you cross the room and lift your suitcase onto your bed. There’s no point in unpacking when you’ll be leaving in a week, anyway, so you just pull out the neccessary toilitries and pyjamas before moving to pull the curtains across.
As you do so, you can’t help but notice a familiar mop of brown hair climbing the drainpipe, and your heart does a flip in your chest. Cracking open the window just enough to stick your head out, you hiss, “What the hell are you playing at, Ed?”
Eddie offers you a lopsided grin, and with practiced ease, hauls onto your windowsill, still holding the drainpipe for stability. “You gonna let me in or keep me out here all night, sweetheart?”
With a roll of your eyes, you carefully push the window open, before taking his hand and helping him inside. You give his arm a hard tug and he tumbles onto the carpet with a soft thud.
“Ouch,” Eddie mumbles, clutching his shoulder. “Help!” He whisper-hisses. “I’ve been fatally wounded in battle.”
You roll your eyes once more. “You’re such a dork.” You hesitate before asking anyway. “You’re not really hurt, right?”
“That depends.”
“On?”
“Will you kiss it better if I say yes?” He grins cheekily and narrowly avoids the pillow that you fire at his head. He clicks his tongue against the roof of his mouth “Now, is that really any way to treat your knight in shining armour?”
You bite back a laugh. “You’re hardly a knight in shining armour; you’re dressed in denim, babe.”
Eddie pushes himself to his feet with an exaggerated sigh. He closes the distance between the two of you, and his hands find the plush of your hips. “I thought you loved me in denim,” he sticks his bottom lip out in a pout.
“I love you alive. And if my brother finds out you’re in here, he’ll—”
“He’ll skin me alive, yeah, I know, sweetheart,” Eddie presses a kiss to your forehead. “I still dont see why we cant just tell him. I mean, we’ve been sneaking around since we were seventeen. If the idiot hasn’t caught on now, I doubt he ever will.”
You shake your head fondly. “Don’t call him an idiot. He’s my brother.”
“Are you saying he’s not an idiot?” Eddie arches a brow.
“…He’s my brother.”
Eddie’s face splits into a grin and he presses a quick kiss to your lips.
You melt into his embrace as his tongue slips into your mouth. He tastes of whiskey and cigarettes and he smells like home. You sigh into the kiss, and he hums approvingly, guiding you backwards until your thighs hit the edge of the bed.
“What are you doing here anyway?” You ask as you lower yourself down into a sitting position. He follows suit, and then you’re crawling into his lap, straddling his waist.
His hands find purchase on your hips again, and he rubs soothing circles into the skin there as he peppers your face in kisses. “Missed you.”
“We saw each other an hour ago,” You giggle, raking your fingers through his hair.
“An hour too long if you were to ask me,” He kisses the tip of your nose before slotting his mouth over yours again.
Minutes pass in a blur of gentle caresses and muffled giggles, before you finally pull away to catch your breath. Your hands are braced on his shoulders as you finally ask, “Can you stay?”
“What about your brother?” Eddie gently teases, poking you in the stomach.
“My door’s locked,” You shrug. “We’ll just have to make sure you go back out the window in the morning, won’t we?” You nibble on your bottom lip anxiously. “You don’t mind, do you? I mean, I don’t want you thinking I’m hiding you because I’m ashamed of you or anything.”
Eddie smiles reassuringly. “I don’t think that for a second, sweetheart.” He tugs you closer and drops his voice to a conspirative whisper. “Besides, you know I’ve always found it kinda hot when we sneak around. Something about the thrill of the chase…”

───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
As a little girl you could remember sitting on your father’s lap when he told you so softly, “There are some loves you live and die for.” You were too little to really understand, still all these years later you had no idea why he’d even told you that, probably trying to explain your mother’s death. You understood it now though. Now that you’d given your heart to Billy Dunne and let him crush it over and over and over again. Part of you wonders if you were given the option if you’d take it back, let it repair itself, maybe in a rash moment, but not in the long run. It’s a love that you let burn you up. A love that you let destroy you inside out.
That’s how you felt now when you were walking back into the recording studio to grab your purse and cigarettes. Everyone was supposed to be meeting to listen to some of that day’s recordings, go over notes, and even if you weren’t technically a member you still cared. It was there that you found Billy, and one of the groupies that had been hanging around since the last gig, sucking him off. As much as it hurts, you’re used to this, and today a fight isn’t what you need. What you need is a cigarette.
“Sorry,” You’re muttering, going to grab your bag anyways, and the girl is scrambling up. You somewhat feel bad for her, she probably doesn’t want the drama, the fight, but at the same time she knows about you. Probably even thought you were the bitch stunting her chances, but you understood wanting someone that bad all the same. “No, you’re fine. Don’t stop on my account.” It’s too late though, she’s embarrassed, running out of the room. That’s how you know she’s new to this, and you feel so much sympathy for her then. Finally, the cigarette is in your hand, “Do you have a lighter?” There’s no response and you look up, Billy’s just staring at you before he shakes his head in some sort of disbelief, and pulls one out of his pocket. You take it from him, light it up, and hand it back just as quick, “Thanks.”
There’s a long, awkward silence where you’re both just standing there. You know you should leave if you don’t want a fight, but that doesn’t feel right either. You’re not going to run away from it either. So you stand there, smoking your cigarette, until finally Billy is giving a curt nod, and trying to leave the room himself.
“What do you want from me, Billy?” You finally cut through the stagnant air, but your voice is so eerily calm. Almost like it’s dead. Like, dealing with Billy for the past couple of weeks when he’s been like this has zapped all of your usual energy out of you.
He’s turning back around and is already on defense, “You’re not fucking spec-” A spiel you know all too well.
“That’s not what I said.” You take another drag off your cigarette, and sit down on the closest stool. “I get it, I’m not special, the whole you could have anyone you want, Billy doesn’t want to feel tied down Dunne act, I understand. You could write songs about anyone else. If there’s nothing important about me, Billy, then why am I here? What’s the point?” He’s opening his mouth to say something and you’re not letting him yet, “And don’t fucking tell me to just leave then if I don’t want it anymore because you’re the one who keeps calling me up or showing up at my front door. I understand you’re trying to write a great fucking album, and change the world of music, or some shit. But, Billy, I would do anything you told me to, give you anything you asked for to support you, and I don’t even think you know. I could be great on my own, but I’ve chosen you since I was 19!”
“Then go be great on your own!” Billy pulls at the end of his denim shirt and you stand up from the stool.
“You don’t hear me, you’re never gonna hear me.” You think you might partly be saying that to yourself, but there’s a silence where the two of you are just staring into each other’s eyes, before you’re on the move. Trying to slip past him, out the door, go put your facade again for everyone else and pretend everything is fine, even though they’ll know it’s not. You think you’ve passed him successfully when he’s ever so gently grabbing your arm, pulling you back towards him. He almost looks like he might cry when he’s pulling your forehead to his.
“Don’t ever give up your dreams for me.”
“Billy, we’re long past that point.”
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
In everyone’s house there are remnants of every person they have ever loved. So, even if you and Billy are stuck in an endless push and pull, the band will always have pieces of you scattered about. As far as they’re concerned you basically live there. You’ve infested every corner, and the very essence of you is obvious from the dried flowers hanging about in the house and on the porch. You’re constantly adding more, little splashes of color in the desert. It’s one of those hot days where you’ve got a cup of iced tea on the porch and are doing exactly that, stringing up another bouquet.
“Eddie, can you give me a hand?” You peak your head inside of the equally hot house.
“Yeah, of course, sunshine.” He’s quickly abandoning whatever conversation he was having with Warren to follow you back out.
“Great, thanks, nice talk, man.” Warren is shouting sarcastically behind him.
“How can I help?” Eddie asks, closing the door behind him.
You give him a smile that he has memorized in the depths of his soul, a look that he sees when he closes his eyes at night. In your hands you’ve got a string with bundles of dried flowers tied across it, “Can you get the nails in up there and tie these to them, please? I’ll owe you one.” He knows you don’t need his help with that, you know you don’t need his help with that, you’ve done this yourself plenty of times, but why would he ever say no?
“Of course, and don’t worry about it, you don’t owe me a thing.” He can’t do it for you fast enough it seems, he’s got the hammer and nail in his hands before you can blink. “Where’s Billy?” He’s not asking because he cares, but it’s not like you asked Billy for help, who can be quite the handyman.
“Writing something, working on something new. I’m just keeping busy.” You lean up against the railing as you watch him, hammering in the nail, before moving onto to do the next one.
“What’s going on?” Eddie says softly.
“What?”
“You’ve been acting weird since yesterday in the studio, I mean for the past few weeks, but it got worse at the studio yesterday,” He hammers in the second nail, “What’d he do now?” When he’s done he turns back around, and you’re staring off into the yard.
“Eddie, don’t.”
He gets closer, his aura is so immensely comforting that it puts you more on edge, this is a road you’ve been down before. “You can tell me, I know he’s a dick, and I care.”
Finally you look back at him, “And we both know where that leads.”
He knows you’re right, but he doesn’t care. Why should he? It leads exactly where he wants. It gives him hope. “What did he do?”
You’ve never been a stick in the mud, “It’s really nothing, I should be used to it by now, it’s not a big deal, Eddie” Now you’re averting his eyes, rubbing at your neck.
“The groupie?”
You just bite at your lower lip, and slowly nod. Suddenly any weak defenses you did have are completely demolished without another word, “I just don’t know what’s wrong with me, Eddie. Why can’t I be enough? I mean, it makes me feel bad about every part of me, if he just told me, I’d change it in an instant.”
“You don’t need to change, you’re fucking perfect, sunshine. If he can’t see that, they should pluck his goddamn eyes out since he’s not using them anyways. You are more than enough.”
You snort at that, “She’s gorgeous, I guess I should expect him to pick her, who wouldn’t?”
“The right man would pick you every single time.” This is exactly the tension you didn’t want because the way Eddie’s eyes look into yours makes you want to melt into him. Not in the same way you’d fall apart for Billy, but in a way that you know Eddie would build your esteem back up, raise you from the ashes, put the puzzle back together every time the pieces get thrown, and that feels so nice. Yet it feels so wrong, it doesn’t matter how many times Billy wrongs you, doing the same is a guilt that will eat you alive forever.
“Eddie-” His hand ever so slightly grazes over yours and your breath hitches in your throat.
“He’s never gonna see you, like I do-”
“What’s going on?” Billy’s voice is interjecting the tension and you jump the tiniest bit, and much to your surprise Eddie doesn’t step away. He stays so close, just giving a glance over his shoulder.
“None of your business, man.” Eddie the endless antagonizer, for someone who says he wants what’s best for you, he sure knows how to push buttons that can make this situation hell.
“He’s just helping me hang this up, was struggling with it.” You chime in, releasing a breath you didn’t realize you’d been holding in.
“I’ve got it.” Billy grabs the string from you, every so slightly pushing Eddie out of the way as he does so, and Eddie rolls his eyes.
“Thanks.” You smile even though you can still feel your heart pounding wildly in your chest, Eddie is glaring at Billy as if dirty looks could make the other man drop dead. “Did you finish the song you were working on?”
“Yeah.” Billy nods, finishing up tying the knots to each nail. He comes back over to you, wrapping an arm around your waist, “Why don’t you come give it a listen for me, baby.” He presses a kiss to your forehead as you nod, and shoots an equally venomous glare back to Eddie. So the two of you do go back in the house to listen to whatever new song Billy has prepared.
Yet, no amount of songs can end a cycle as deeply entrenched into the bloodstreams of each and every one of you. When things start to feel too good, too peaceful, Billy will be ready to tear the dream up into pieces, and you’ll always know exactly who to run to, and Eddie will always be waiting. Being the second option isn’t that bad when the rush is so good.

i know our mornings (were as good as it ever could be)
Tumblr media
synopsis: eddie thinks he's doing a pretty good job at hiding his relationship with the youngest dunne sister. until he isn't.
warnings: smut, dirty talk, usage of alcohol & drugs, billy dunne
a/n: thank you so much for the love on the previous eddie post! this is shit but it's eddie smut and that's all that matters
♡
It all happens so fast you think you’ve imagined it - one minute you’re snorting your (fourth, maybe fifth) line of coke and reaching for another glass of beer, and the next you’re being pulled by your hand until you can breathe in the fresh evening air through your slightly powdery nostrils. You’re still looking down at your feet, hands outstretched and trying to regain your balance, which is a surprisingly hard thing to do using a coked-up brain, when the mystery assailant, probably Billy, starts speaking. You sigh and brace yourself for yet another lecture.
“The fuck do you think you’re doing?”
Welp, that’s definitely not Billy. You don’t know if you should be happy about it or not.
You look up and meet Eddie’s eyes, his eyebrows so furrowed that the annoyed wrinkle between them is especially pronounced - you want to reach out and smooth it out with your fingers, you want to tell him that as hot as he looks when he’s pissed off, he shouldn’t be getting wrinkles this early on. You don’t do any of that.
“What does it look like I’m doing?” You respond instead, putting a hand on your hip with such force that you make yourself stumble a little bit. In the blink of an eye, Eddie is holding you by the waist, concerned, and you pray to every single entity out there to just make the goddamn sequin dress separating your bodies disappear into thin air, simply to feel his large hands against your skin. “I’m having fun.”
Eddie lets out an exasperated sigh and tilts your head upward, cleaning up the cocaine residue around your nose. A part of you finds it weirdly cute.
“Too much fun.” He tells you and you shake your head.
“I’ve seen you do, like, six lines one after another. You can’t just lecture me when you do the exact same thi-”
“That’s because I’m used to it, I can handle it.” Eddie interrupts, grabbing you by the chin gently. He’s looking at you right in the eyes, wanting to drive his point home, but all you can focus on is his lips. “You could barely handle a shot of whiskey before and now you’re drinking and doing lines like you’ve done it all your life.”
You roll your eyes, although you understand what he’s trying to say.
“Eds, just leave me alone. I’m not going to die or somethin’. I’m just having fun.” You defend yourself, but the hiccups in-between your words do absolutely nothing to convince the man in front of you.
In fact, something flashes in his eyes. It’s a look you see rarely, but one you recognize as the look he gets when he sets his mind to something. You don’t get to dwell too much on it, because he’s crouching and picking you up, and before you know it, you’re thrown over his shoulder with such ease it makes something at the bottom of your stomach flutter.
“Eddie, put me down, now! What are you doing!?” You protest and hit his back with your fists as hard as you can, waving your legs in the air. He doesn’t even flinch and instead places a hand on your calf and squeezes, a gesture you can only interpret as “calm the fuck down” - and something in you listens, despite the drugs and liquors in your system screaming at you to keep acting bratty.
You vaguely recognize Warren’s wolf-whistling at the pair of you, but you don’t pay him any attention - by the time he’s asked for your room key at the reception desk in that deep voice that drives you crazy and you’re in the luxurious elevator, you’re already half-asleep but still have enough leftover energy to complain.
"Can you put me down now? You’ve proved your point.”
In response, Eddie’s hand moves higher up your leg, slipping underneath your dress. You can feel yourself blushing as he starts drawing circles on your inner thigh.
“Hm, I really don’t think I have, sweetheart.” He tells you and you want to strangle him for knowing exactly what buttons to push to make you speechless.
The rest of the elevator ride is spent in torturous silence, as he absentmindedly drags his fingers across your skin and you stubbornly hold in your whimpers and gasps, because you’d rather die on the spot than have him know how sensitive his touch makes you.
Only he can make me feel like this, you think to yourself in a striking moment of clarity.
After what feels like an eternity, you finally arrive at your floor. Eddie confidently walks towards your room and opens it - as soon as the door closes, he strides over to the bed and gently drops you onto it. You’re looking at the ceiling, thinking about nothing and everything at the same time, as he removes your heels. When he stands up and kisses your forehead, ready to leave so you could get some sleep, you grab him by the collar.
Sleep is the last thing on your mind right now.
You kiss him hard, and he responds immediately - you feel his heart thumping when your chests press against each other, and you’re pretty sure he can feel yours too. He moans into your mouth when you tug on his hair and you feel like you’re on the brink of getting what you want - except, he pulls away from you. You look at him, confused, and when you reach out to try and bring his face towards you, he grabs your wrists in one hand.
“You’re drunk, sweetheart. We can’t.” He explains and you want to cry. Why did he have to be so thoughtful?
“But I want you.” You try and he just smiles at you, wide and toothy, as he stands up. You catch his hand. “Can you…can you at least sleep next to me? We don’t have to do anything, I just..."
He turns to look at you and you see surprise painted across his features. You open your mouth to take it back, tell him you don’t know what you’re talking about, play it off as the drugs talking, but he’s already dropping his jacket on the ground and getting into bed with you before you get the chance to say anything.
He opens his arms, inviting you to come closer and you gladly take the invitation.
"You're cold." You tell him when you lay your head on his chest and feel him wrapping his arms around you. He smells like cigarettes and citrus. It’s your favorite smell in the world.
“You’re hot.” He responds, grinning as he kisses the top of your head, and you giggle.
It’s the last thing you remember before you fall asleep.
You wake up horny. Not unusual by any means, considering you fell asleep horny and next to Eddie. Still, you know you can't ignore it for long.
As your eyes adjust to the sunlight pouring in through the windows, you feel Eddie, still asleep, wrapping a long arm around your waist and pulling you towards his chest. His gentle hums do nothing except fuel the growing need in you to have him. You decide to do just that.
Careful not to wake him, you slowly move down his body and when you reach the part you're craving the most, you greedily undo his belt like you're opening a Christmas present. You pull his jeans and boxers down at the same time, impatient, and immediately get to work.
You run your tongue from the tip to the base, savoring the shiver you receive in response. You do that a couple of times but as soon as you take him in your mouth, Eddie gasps and you know you've woken him up, because you feel a hand in your hair.
"Shit, baby, good mornin' to you too." He laughs and the rasp in his voice makes you throb.
You take him in deeper, tracing the vein in his shaft with your tongue and Eddie practically howls. Biting his lip, he buries his other hand in your hair too as the sounds of your gagging and his moaning overlap.
"I love this fucking mouth on my cock." He breathes out. "God, I can't get enough of you. Come 'ere."
You shake your head as you press open-mouthed kisses down the shaft.
"No, I want you to cum in my mouth." You declare stubbornly and he swears out loud at your words.
"I'll cum in that pretty little mouth as much as you want me to, but I need to be inside of you right now, baby, please." He almost begs and you look at him beneath your eyelashes.
He's panting heavily, his bottom lip slightly bloody because he bit it too hard, brown eyes glazed over and hair splayed out on the pillow beneath his head like a halo. He looks like a mess and it's the prettiest thing you've ever seen.
Well, how can you say no to that?
You crawl towards him and he grabs the dress you've slept in from yesterday and pushes it up your body, hastily trying to remove it. You help him and soon, the dress is a mere clothing item on the floor. Left in only your underwear, he licks his lips as his eyes look you over. If it was anyone else, you would have felt like a piece of meat being ogled at, but his look only turns you on even more.
You tug on his shirt, wanting it off, and he complies immediately.
As you climb into his lap and undo your bra, Eddie watches, mesmerized, when you start grinding on his cock like a woman starved, your tits bouncing along with every movement. In an attempt to tease him, you reach out to play with your nipples, but he smacks your hands away, shoves his face in your chest and starts worshiping your tits with such vigor you think you can cum from this alone.
"Eddie! Oh!" You mewl and he groans in response, tugging your underwear down your thighs. He rubs a finger against your folds and your head gently knocks against his when his finger glides right inside of you.
"So fuckin' warm and tight and all for me. Only for me." Eddie whispers, kissing your neck. You nod, burying your fingers in his tangled hair.
"Only for you. Always for you." You whisper in his ear and he exhales sharply, relieved, like he's being told something he never once thought would be true.
You don't even notice when one finger has become two, and two has become three in your haze of pleasure until Eddie pushes you down onto the bed, looking at you like you've hung the moon and stars. You smile at him and pull his face down to kiss him, and you can feel him chuckling against your lips. Wrapping your legs around his waist, you melt in his embrace. In response, Eddie grabs your hips, something you've noticed he really likes doing, and carefully enters you. You open your mouth in a silent scream, and he groans loudly, squeezing you so hard you're sure he'll give you yet another pair of bruises. You don't mind though, not at all.
"You okay, sweetheart?"
"Very much am, Roundtree."
---
"What did you just say?"
Warren laughs nervously, scratching the back of his neck.
"Look man, I don't fuckin' know, all I'm saying is that I saw them leaving together."
It's quiet in the breakfast hall as Billy ponders on what to do.
"I get that she's our little sister, but she's grown up now. Even if she is, y'know, sleeping with him, why should that matter? I mean, it's Eddie, do you really think he'd do anything to hurt her?" Graham argues, gesturing with the utensils in his hands as he speaks.
Daisy and Karen nod in agreement.
"He's got a point, you know. I really don't think it's that big of a deal. They've had the hots for each other for a while now, too, it's only natural." Karen adds and Billy's mouth turns into a tight line as he death glares the uneaten toast on his plate.
"Good morning everyone!" Eddie greets his band members when you and him enter, suspiciously cheerful. Billy's glare only becomes more hateful.
"Morning." He greets with gritted teeth, carefully observing the way Eddie gallantly pulls out your chair first, before sitting on his own. Everyone else around him also seems to notice, if Daisy and Karen's quiet giggles and Warren and Graham clearing their throats were any indication.
"Aren't you going to get breakfast?" Graham questions and you smile innocently back at him.
"Nope, I've already eaten." You respond and Eddie adds a "I'm very full, actually."
Awkward silence descends on the table for a moment before Roy arrives as well.
"Hey, Roundtree." He starts, an accusatory finger pointed at the bassist's neck. "What kind of vampire were you fooling around with? Jesus Christ, son, look at the size of that thing."
A beat passes as Graham chokes on his water.
"Roundtree, you fucking son of a bitch, I'll kill you."
---
BILLY DUNNE: The prick was fucking my sister behind my back. Of course I decked him.
KAREN SIRKO: And people call women the emotional ones.
WARREN ROJAS: Dude, I thought I was hallucinating, for real.
DAISY JONES: So overdramatic.
GRAHAM DUNNE: [sighs]
EDDIE ROUNDTREE: Worth it. [smiles]

LA Girl Magic
warren rojas x fem!reader
Summary: Warren Rojas always dreamed of Los Angeles. The clubs, the music, and the ridiculously beautiful women.
CW: Sexual-ish content but no actual smut, a little angsty at the end. As always my (Y/N) is assumed to be black and sometimes such is implied but definitely not enough that others can't read.
Tumblr media
June 1979
Everyone always dreamed of Los Angeles. The warmth of the Californian sun, the waves crashing against the Venice shore, the palm trees lining the streets. LA was the land of opportunity. And when you wished on Los Angeles stars, it felt like they would always come true. LA was the dream. Endless sunny days, ridiculously beautiful girls, and freedom to do and be whatever you wanted.
Los Angeles was everything for a band from Pittsburgh, where the only options were the mill or the army. So when Billy Dunne asked Warren Rojas about the possibility, Warren immediately went out and bought a van so the band would be ready to make the drive. It more or less cost him everything he had. It was crazy, but he somehow trusted it.
And boy, he couldn't have been more right.
It didn't come immediately. Weeks of phone calls that lead to nowhere. Finally meeting Teddy Price, and then being put through the wringer by him for months, a canceled tour, and being so dirt poor that he had to steal toast from restaurants. Enter Daisy Jones. Look At Us Now comes out. Sold out shows, gold records, and more drugs and women tearing at his pants than he could have ever dreamed of when he was just some skinny, curly-haired kid in Pennsylvania. The Six were living the California dream. He always said Daisy had "LA girl magic." He even tried to get Billy to write a song about it.
It was July 1st, 1979, the LA date of the Aurora tour. For Daisy, it was the hometown show, but she had always said she didn't have anyone in LA, no parents or extended family in the whole city. So everyone in the band was surprised when she said she'd have a childhood friend coming for the show. The shock became even greater when Daisy walked into the green room laughing and smiling with (Y/N) (L/N).
(Y/N L/N) was the "it girl" before that term was coined. A gorgeous Hollywood starlet. An Oscar winner at ten, a Vogue cover at 15,  a sold out world tour at 20, and a star on the Walk of Fame by 21. She was currently working on her sophomore album, and the world was waiting to see how she'd elevate herself further. But in the meantime, she was staying on the public's minds with her new Chanel film being aired on every TV in America, in which she played a songbird stuck in a cage next to a bottle of Coco Mademoiselle. (Y/N) had the talent that made her the critic's darling and the incredible beauty that made her desired and hated.
Warren's breath caught when he looked at her.  (Y/N)'s hair, dark like a raven's wing,  tumbled down her back in long curls. She wore a pale blue Halston jumpsuit that made her skin shimmer, and diamond jewelry added to the effect. And her eyes… oh God, those brown eyes. Warren would bet that she'd be able to finish him with just her eyes.
His cheeks slightly heated up at his thoughts as he watched her introduce herself to the band members. She approached him last, wrapping her arms around his neck, saying, "Hey, it's so nice to meet you! I'm (Y/N)."
Warren stuttered slightly, removing his hands from her waist and looking into her eyes. "I-I know."
(Y/N) chuckled. "And are you gonna tell me your name, drummer?"
"Warren!" he rushed out embarrassingly quickly. "I'm Warren Rojas."
(Y/N) smiled. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you Warren."
Warren loved the way his name sounded on her tongue. He wanted her to say it over and over again.  He wondered what it'd be like to hear her scream it.
These thoughts remained on his mind as he played as hard as he could that night, knowing she was watching and wanting her to feel every beat. Warren knew that people usually didn't pay attention to the rhythm section during concerts, too interested in the lead guitar or frontman to notice the lonesome drummer in the back, but just knowing there was a chance that (Y/N) was watching him, Warren played that drumline like it was his last night on earth.
Teddy was waiting as they all walked backstage, giving the usual pats on the shoulder and congratulations.
"Hey, Rojas," Teddy called as Warren cracked open a beer. That is the kind of performance I expect from the best drummer in rock' n roll!" Warren had never received such high praise from Teddy, and the compliment made him swell with pride.
"Hey, call it the LA girl magic," Warren said with a shrug and a smile.
Teddy furrowed his brow, "I have no idea what you're talking about, son, but if that's what made you play like that, I need you to use it every night."

The afterparties in the bus were always wild, but tonight was different. The Six had just played one of their best shows of the tour, so they decided to rent out some random bar on Sunset to celebrate specially. Beautiful bodies of men and women were swaying to the sensual rhythms and blues blaring from the boombox, and there were pills and powders sprawled across the tables that could only be found on the dirtiest streets of the City of Angels. This night was on fire.
Now, on a normal night, Warren probably would have grabbed a blonde with nice tits and a brunette with nice legs and taken them anywhere with a working lock on the door, but on this particular night, even the tightest skirts wrapped around girls just begging him to lift them around their waists and bury his face in between their thighs weren't the slightest bit tempting to him. Instead, all his attention was on a certain LA girl with dark features and the voice of an angel.
(Y/N) and Daisy were currently standing on a table, swaying their hips in a way that could only come naturally to girls who were stumbling out of clubs like these in tight dresses and runny makeup when they were 14. All of the men stared at them hungrily. All the girls tried to emulate their movements. But none could mimic the harmonies they sang over the random guitar melody playing. Their voices were enough to bring the roof down.
Warren was in fucking awe.
He'd gotten used to Daisy's voice. The power in it, the way she sang from deep in her belly and sounded like her voice was traveling over rocks to produce the sound. Daisy's voice was the pure essence of rock n roll.
But (Y/N)? Her voice was hauntingly beautiful. And in the teal shimmery dress she's changed into for the after party, with slits on either side, she looked like she'd come from the depths of the sea to lure men in with her siren call. Her voice was alluring but dangerous. It pierced its way through Warren's heart, and in that moment, he would've done anything she asked him to.
"Huh," he breathed out. "LA magic."
"What was that, love?" asked the red-haired girl who'd taken it upon herself to wrap her arms around his neck and move her body against his.
"Excuse me," said Warren, shoving her off and walking towards (Y/N). A sailor drawn to a siren, he approached the table and called her name.
(Y/N)' s eyes widened happily when she saw him. "Warren!!" She climbed down from the table and wrapped him in a tight hug. "You did so well tonight, congratulations! The drumline in "Let Me Down Easy" made the entire number- no one could have played it better!" she yelled over the loud music.
Warren exhaled and smiled. "It's just nice to know someone's listening."
(Y/N) let out a giggle, folding her lips before turning back to the table. "Daisy-jay!" she yelled at her friend. Daisy had already found another way to occupy herself, playing some sort of game involving vodka and a chocolate bunny. "Yeah, (Y/N/N)?"
"I'll be right back! Save me a shot!" (Y/N) yelled before grabbing Warren by the wrist and dragging him outside the club.
The pair heard Daisy yell out ",Hey! Don't have too much fun you two!"
(Y/N) exhaled a deep breath, taking a few steps forward and staring up at the sky. "It's a full moon tonight, Warren."
Warren stood beside her. "Yeah, no stars though."
They looked back at each other, brown eyes meeting brown eyes in a warm dance.
"There are never stars here," (Y/N) said with a smile. "Something called light pollution, I think. From all the city lights everywhere."
"I love the city lights. Seeing them reminds me that we made it. That we're really here." Warren closed his eyes for a moment. "But some nights I miss the stars. Back in Pitt, I could always see hundreds of stars from my window. Started chartin' em like I was part of Apollo 11 or something," he said shyly, letting out a dry chuckle.
"That's amazing, Warren." (Y/N) smiled at him so beautifully and kindly. He knew she meant it.
"I didn't know you were from Pittsburgh," she said.
"Mmhm. Been friends with all the guys since I was a kid. But I was actually born in Botogá. Shot over to the U.S. when I was three."
"Colombia?"
Warren nodded with a smile.
(Y/N) hummed. "I guess now's a good time to mention that I've always had a thing for foreign men. Only guys I usually like more are drummers in rock bands," she said nonchalantly, looking back at the moon.
Meanwhile, Warren felt like his heart was in his fucking ass.
He swallowed nervously. "W-well I have a thing for Hollywood girls."
"Oh, really?" she said casually.
"Yeah," Warren said, building up his confidence. "'S part of why I chose to move here. I knew that even if the music thing worked out, I'd still be able to find a girl from the city of angels to take me to heaven." Warren pushed a stray curl behind her ear, and for the first time in the whole night, (Y/N) was the nervous one.
Warren felt the change in dynamic immediately and decided to take a risk.  He leaned in,  searching (Y/N) 's eyes for any sign of rejection. When he saw none, he closed the gap between them, seizing her lips with his in a passionate kiss. She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling the tall man downwards. He grabbed her by her waist, exposed by the slit in her dress, pulling her closer. (Y/N) let out a small moan at the feeling of his touch on her skin, and Warren took the opportunity to slip his tongue into her mouth, increasing the wetness accumulating between her legs.
The pair finally pulled away for air, staring deep into each other's eyes silently.
"Do you want to see heaven, Rojas?" (Y/N) asked breathily.
Warren's lips were swollen, and his pupils were dilated as he spoke, "I'll follow wherever you go, angel."
(Y/N) caught his lips in a quick kiss before walking over to the phone booth and calling the taxi company. She'd never felt so much embarrassment as when she had to stifle her moans on the phone with the operator as Warren had followed her into the booth and began kissing and sucking up her arm to her shoulder and neck. Once he quickly figured out her weak spot was in between her jawline and her neck, he just continued on with the spot as if he was a starving man and her skin was his last meal. That, along with his large hands traveling up and down her body, almost caused (Y/N) to drop the phone, tear off her clothes, and sit on his lap on the dirty street corner.
When the taxi finally arrived, (Y/N) 's embarrassment only grew as Warren pulled her to practically straddle him and stuck his tongue down her throat. She could feel the discomfort radiating from the driver. But when he started playing with her panties… well, then she said to hell with embarrassment.
It felt like they'd been in the taxi for an eternity when they finally arrived at the large house in Baldwin Hills. The lovers stumbled through the large door, fumbling with each other's clothes and sharing messy, maddening kisses as they fell on the couch. (Y/N) sat atop Warren, staring deep into his eyes. The feeling of his hands on her waist was making her feel crazy.
"I want you inside me, Warren."
She didn't need to tell him twice.

January 2000
"At some point that night, I had every part of me in that woman," Warren reminisced with a chuckle. "Shit felt like joining the swim team. Shit, sorry Jules." Warren Rojas had aged handsomely. His once sleek black curly hair had grayed, and he'd developed wrinkles around his eyes. His hands were now rough and calloused from years of being a successful rock drummer who achieved many accolades before being inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of  Fame and retiring. He was the perfect picture of a had-been rockstar, a man now in his forties, tanned from days spent sitting out on his rusty old boat in the Marina. Some people might have pitied him, but he was content.
"I forgot who I'm talking to. I'd appreciate it if you didn't keep that part in. I think Nina would die if she had to hear about her old man like that."
Julia, now a woman grown and the spitting image of her mother with long, straight black hair and a camera at hand, was a far cry from the child Warren had known all those years ago.
"Hard for me too, to tell you the truth," she said with a slightly awkward laugh. "So then what happened?"
"Well I think you know, kiddo. Love. War. Band called it quits."
"With her, I mean."
Warren tensed up a bit. "Well, I loved her. Spent eight years with her, so I think he might've loved me too," he said with a smirk. "But we wanted different things, in the end. I wanted to slow down for a bit. Buy this boat, maybe have a few kids. I wanted success in the music world, but I wanted a wife and kids to share it with. She wanted to keep going. Being an "EGOT" at 24 wasn't enough, she wanted more. I've  always loved her for that. She has so much hunger for life. She wants to live. She nearly gave it all up to settle with me, but I loved her too much to block her dreams. And I loved her enough to let her go. Met Lisa back in '89, had Nina in '94. I'm happy with my life now. I feel like everyone thinks I'm this miserable, washed up drummer, but I'm happy with the life I built for myself."
"Do you still love (Y/N)?" asked Julia.
Warren smiled a sad smile and looked at his lap. "... I'll always love that girl. I see her in everything. I watch her life in pictures now. Hear her voice on the radio. You'll probably have to cut this out too… cause of Lisa, of course… but uh…"the man trailed off, and a haze fell over his eyes as if he was seeing flashes of the past.
"You know something? That night when I first met her, after… after we finished," he shot Julia a look, "I got up to get her a cup of water, and when I looked out of her kitchen window, I saw a shooting star. I'd barely seen two stars in my time spent in the city at that point. We'd just fuckin talked about it! But after that night with her? There one was, shooting across the sky."
Warren chuckled and shook his head. "Goddamn LA Girl Magic."

The first time that Billy Dunne ever met her, he was eight years old, and he was walking with his mom down the block with a paper plate of cookies in his hand, with his four-year-old brother in his mom’s arms. It had been a week since their father left, and while Graham didn’t seem to know what that meant — Billy and his mother did.
Billy comforted his mother for hours that night. He never cried and was determined to stay strong for his family. After all, he was the man in the house now. And men who lead the home can never cry. That was just how it was.
So right now, Billy was being the man of the house, and he was going to greet the new neighbors with a batch of cookies that he helped his mom make earlier that day. They were just fresh out of the oven, and so they were warm — perfect for an autumn afternoon.
“Oh, turn here, Billy,” His mom called out, adjusting Graham in her arms as Billy followed his mom’s instructions and there was the house. The Jeffersons had moved out some time ago, and Billy was unsure if anyone wanted to be in that cigarette-smoked-smelling house anyway, but apparently, someone wanted it if he was delivering cookies there.
As Billy walked down the pavement and up the stairs to the porch, Billy waited for his mother to climb up the steps, just in time for Graham to get down and run around. Billy held the cookies in one hand and then rang the doorbell, and there was a bunch of chatter in the house.
He looked up at his mother, who only gently smiled at the door while gripping Graham’s hand so he didn’t try and break anything in the new neighbor’s home. Just then, the door opened and a woman who seemed to be about the same age as Billy’s mother smiled.
“Hello!” Billy’s mother said kindly, taking Graham in her arms as he tried to touch something that looked fragile. “We’re the Dunnes, we just live down the road and we heard someone moved in and we just wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood.”
The woman continued to smile, and she looked at Billy and Graham. “Oh, such beautiful boys!”
“Thank you, this is Billy, my oldest, and then this is Graham.” Billy’s mother said, smiling proudly at her eldest son. “Do you have any kids?”
Billy had to hold back his groan as he kept his hand on the plate of cookies, his mom asking this meant that there was going to be some playdate for Graham, and that means he’d have to tag along because his mom can’t have him home alone yet.
“Oh, I do! I have two.” The woman replied, chuckling as she looked back. “It’s a little messy right now with moving in and everything, but come in! And you can put the cookies on the counter,”
As Billy’s family walked in, Billy placed the cookies on the counter before walking back to his mom, and soon enough, he heard laughter around the house.
The woman sighed, “Those are my two, just a year apart too, they’re inseparable.” She said, smiling fondly.
“I’m Josefina, by the way, and my husband, Vasili, is in my Warren’s room, you’ll meet him one day.” Josefina chuckled, just then, two children came running in, squealing and laughing.
And they were Graham’s age, just great. Billy was still the oldest in the neighborhood.
“This is Warren, my oldest.” Josefina chuckled, picking up Warren as he came over while the girl ran around more. “He’s five, and that’s—”
CRASH!
Everyone jumped and looked towards the little girl who stood there a cookie in hand and the plate of the cookies on the floor, munching away.
“And that’s my youngest…” Josefina chuckled nervously, looking back at Billy’s mother. “She’s four.”
“Oh, I’m sure Graham and her will get along just well.” Billy’s mother chuckled, looking at Graham with a smile.
Billy Dunne didn’t know then, but that day had changed his life for the better. For that was the first time he had ever laid eyes on Firecracker.
────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──────
The next time Billy Dunne met her, it had been years, he was just in high school even, just as Graham and Firecracker had started eighth grade while Warren was a freshman, but funnily enough, it was Warren and Graham who grew close, but that didn’t mean her and Graham didn’t like each other, no.
They were friends, just not as close, so she was around a lot.
He wouldn’t even look at the girl that was four years younger than him, he’d never even come out of his room to greet his brother’s friends. But when his mother practically told him to do it just this once while she ran errands, he was annoyed.
Billy was trying to write a smash hit song, and yet he had to entertain his brother’s friends, more like babysitting them, cooking them dinner, and making sure they didn’t set the house on fire.
“I’m ordering pizza,” Billy said simply as he came down the stairs, rolling his eyes as he went to the kitchen to go to the phone. “What do you guys want?”
“Pepperoni.” Warren and Graham recited, but the girl next to the boys said something completely different.
“Pepperoni, but put light cream cheese on it, please.” She said, playing with her nails as Graham and Warren groaned.
“I can’t believe you like that,” Warren told his sister, who rolled her eyes.
“It’s surprising but I don’t have to listen to your dumb opinions.” She said, turning back to Billy. “These dummies have no taste, so if you have to, just get a small one for me.”
Billy had paused, raising his eyebrows at first for her odd request, but then how casually she had basically shut down her brother and his brother. Clearly, it wasn’t the first time they had this conversation.
“Wait, you like cream cheese on your pizza?” Billy asked, putting the phone down slightly. “What on earth does that taste like?”
She sighed as if having a feeling that she was going to be made fun of, but yet she still went on.
“I mean, it’s not bad, plus it adds more of a creamy flavor to it, I’d recommend it but if you’re anything like Graham, you’d hate it without even trying it.” She went on, looking rather bored at the conversation.
Billy gave his little brother a look. “You can’t really judge someone’s pizza preference if you haven’t tried it.”
“It just sounds gross though!”
Billy rolled his eyes and met her eyes again. “I’ll try it, it sounds interesting.”
Billy pretended not to notice her little fist bump in the air, and he had to do his best to hide a smile as he put in the pizza order.
And that day, Billy discovered his newfound love for cream cheese pizza.
────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──────
The next time that Billy Dunne had met his firecracker, it had been a few years. He was about twenty-two, give or take. It was 1972.
He was still in Pittsburgh, not only that, he had actually joined his little brother’s band. And he became the leader of it no less.
But he was determined to make it big. And he was going to take The Dunne Brothers to the top.
And that meant that the band was going to practice nonstop until they reached to the top, until their hands turned red and turned raw, until night, or even the early morning if Mrs. Jenkins didn’t threaten to call the police on them for causing a ruckus.
He was going to get The Dunne Brothers there, kicking and screaming if they had to.
As Billy decided to run through another song again and took a giant drink of his beer, when footsteps approached the garage of the Loving home.
“Warren! Mama wants you home.” She called out, making Warren sigh as he warmed up his hands in the cold early February weather.
“Did you tell her that I’m practicing?” Warren said, grabbing his drumsticks.
“Would I even be here if I hadn’t?” She said, raising an eyebrow at her brother. “Says it’s important or something, I don’t fucking know. But y’know how she is.”
Warren sighed, and he looked at Billy. “I’ll be quick, I swear.”
But Billy wasn’t even looking at Warren, he was looking at her.
She was eighteen at this point, and Billy actually never gave her much of a look because of how different their ages were as they grew up. Yet, he did admire her personality, it must be a tough life to deal with both Graham and Warren from a young age.
She raised an eyebrow and folded her arms, her loose flowy shirt somehow fitting her just right. And Billy really liked it, it looked nice on her.
“You’ve got a staring problem or something, Dunne?”
Billy seemed to snap back into reality, and he turned slightly red, and Billy Dunne never turned red at being called out. He looked back to see Warren already glaring at him, as if ready to jump on the defense of protecting his little sister.
He let out a little awkward cough.
“Uh, no, sorry. Yeah, it’s fine Warren, just be back before Jenkins yells at us for the mess on the driveway.” Billy said, shrugging his shoulders and pretending to fiddle with his microphone.
As Warren walked away and towards his sister, he sent one more glare towards Billy, who pretended not to notice. But as the pair walked away, she looked back, and Billy could swear, he really could—
She had even smiled at him goodbye as she walked back home with her brother.
And now Billy Dunne had a new sight on him. He wanted to get that girl.
────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──────
The final time that Billy Dunne had met his firecracker, it was just over two years later. The band had gone off to L.A. later that year when she was still eighteen, and now, she was twenty. Billy was twenty-four.
Even after a name change and the addition of a keyboardist by the name of Karen Sirko, Billy never seemed to get the idea of Warren’s little sister out of his mind, even though he knew he should.
There was no way that he would see her again unless he went on a national tour, but that could be years from now, and that was too long in Billy’s opinion. But he couldn’t just ask Warren to invite his baby sister just so he could try and woo her.
That was just dumb, even for Billy, and he’s done a lot of dumb things since he’s gotten to L.A.
But it seemed that fate was still on his side, for when he came home after a party with Eddie, Graham, and Karen—
“You guys remember my sister, right?”
Billy froze as he heard Warren’s voice. No, it couldn’t be. Truly, this couldn’t have ended up going his way after all — that firecracker girl was actually here. That fate had actually said “Here you go,” and told him to go to hell with it.
And when he turned around to see her, he had to hold back his excitement. It was actually her.
“She’s staying for a week, just wants to take a look around in the city,” Warren said, smiling as he pulled his sister into a side hug. “I’m bunking on the couch for now so she can have my bed.”
“You still haven’t answered my question on why there’s just a toilet in your room.” She said, raising an eyebrow at her brother.
Warren only grinned. “It’s my bathroom.”
Her eyes met the rest of the band, who only shook their heads, that no, Warren did not have a bathroom where his bed was. He just had a random toilet in his room.
Billy’s eyes met hers, and he only nodded. “I’ll make sure you enjoy L.A, it’s a great place, really.”
She smiled. “Thanks, Dunne.”
“My name’s Billy.” He said, hoping to hear her say his name, just once.
“Okay…Billy.” She chuckled, shaking her head slightly. But damn, did Billy love his name coming out of her mouth. Fuck.
Warren only sighed and gave his bandmate a look. “Watch it, dude.”
She sighed and shook her head just as Billy raised his hands in defense and in surrender.
“I’m not doin’ nothin’! I’m just saying she’s gonna like it here!” Billy said defensively, oh but he was.
He was getting her into his arms, and he wasn’t going to give up this time. Not when she said his name like that.
And he knew that she wasn’t going to stay in her brother’s room for long, and it wouldn’t be long until she ended up in his room instead.

teenage dream.

content warning: ANGST billy dunne/the six x fem “traitor” pop-star reader
The lights were dimmed. You could hear the excited cheers come from the crowd.
You were being touched up by your hair and makeup team, they made sure that not a single hair was out of place. When they were done, you adjusted your ear piece, smoothed out your skirt, and nervously played with your hands as you waited for your cue. You were having a good show, but for some reason, you felt….nervous. You always felt a little nervous performing, but tonight you felt it even more.
Something felt different. You felt like something— or someone was in the crowd for you, waiting, watching.
You shook your head, brushing the feeling aside.
“You’re on” you hear a stagehand say.
Smoothing out your skirt one last time, you step out onto the stage. A soft purple glow fills the arena as you walked out. You smile and wave to the crowd, blowing a few kisses out as you sit at your piano.
“Are we having fun yet?” you say into the microphone. You’re met with a loud roar of cheers and applause which makes you smile. “Good…good” you say, idly playing a few notes on the piano.
“So…this next song, I wrote with my younger self in mind…” you say softly into the microphone, “Now she…was full of hope and energy…but she was also…had insecurities, she was afraid she wasn’t good enough and that she was just good for her age. She was afraid to grow up, because she thought that nobody would want her around anymore.”
You pause for a moment, “For a long time, she couldn’t picture a future. But…she’s come a long way from then. I think she’d be proud of how far we’ve come.” you say, smiling as the crowd cheers. “So to anyone who’s afraid…this is for you.”
As you started playing, the empty screen behind you flickered to life, pulling the audience’s attention as a series of home videos started playing.
You fought back tears as you sang. Memories of the past flooded your mind.
"Will I spend all the rest of my years wishing I could go back?"
Messing around with Warren and Graham during rehearsals in the garage.
Talking with Karen about life during late night studio sessions.
Eddie teaching you how to play the bass.
And Billy....
Having every first with him. Your first crush, your date, your first kiss. All with the boy that you grew up next door neighbors with, with the boy that introduced you to music, with the boy that you've liked since you were 12.
"Got your whole life ahead of you, you're only 19...But I fear that they already got all the best parts of me... And I'm sorry that I couldn't always be your teenage dream.."
You wondered what they were doing right now. You wondered if they were messing around in the studio. You wondered if they were having pizza and beers. "Of course they are," you thought, it was a Friday night afterall, that was their time to unwind.
You wondered if Karen and Graham were still denying their feelings for eachother. You wondered if Warren still told those ridiculous stories that made everyone laugh so hard they cried, You wondered if Eddie still tried to hide the fact that he loves the chaos of the band.
You wondered if Billy was taking care of himself.
You wondered if they wondered about you.
"They all say that it gets better, it gets better the more you grow. Yeah, they all say that it gets better, it gets better, but what if I don't? Oh, they all say that it gets better, it gets better the more you grow"
Unbeknownst to you, the band wasn’t in the studio tonight. They weren't eating pizza and drinking beers.
They were here.
Sitting quietly near the back of the arena, watching as you poured your heart out on stage.
Karen had bought the tickets last minute. When she told the band, they weren't keen on going, but they changed their minds fairly quickly.
None of them wanted to admit that they wanted to desperately see you perform on stage again. Even if it wasn't with them.
Their eyes were glued to the stage and the screen. Watching as old clips from your old camcorder played.
"I can't believe she has all these old tapes.." Karen says in a quiet tone.
"I didn't even know she filmed this much stuff" Graham murmurs.
"I can...that camera was practically glued to her hand" Eddie says, crossing his arms across his chest.
They all kept watching the screen, clips of their rehearsals, their hangouts, of them backstage, of them preparing for photoshoots and interviews.
"She’s still her, you know," Warren says softly, his gaze fixed on you. "No matter what, that’s still our girl up there."
Everyone nodded and let out a soft hum of agreement. Everyone, except Billy.
He had been quiet the whole time, his jaw clenched, his nails digging into the palms of his hands. He was trying not to breakdown. But the way you sang, the way that your emotions could be heard through your voice, it made it so hard for him.
Your voice got more powerful, more emotional. You played your piano with more urgency, as if you were letting your anger and sadness out.
"Yeah, they all say that it gets better, it gets better, but what if I don't?"
Your playing went back to a softer sound, and then everything went dark. Everything but the screen.
When the band saw what was playing, it felt like a stab to the heart.
It was a clip of you all seeing your names up on the marquee of Whiskey a Go Go.
It showed as you all excitedly walked down the street, Warren and Graham bolting the moment they could make out what the sign said.
"Guys slow down!" you say as you and the others run towards them.
"Look at that! That's us!" Warren shouts happily, pointing at the sign.
You all laugh and talk over each other. Suddenly, Billy grabs the camera from your hand.
"Billy- Billy! What are you doing?" you say as you laugh.
"You're always filming us...now it's your turn to be in front of it!" he says as he points the camera towards you.
You laugh and playfully swat the camera away as you cover your face.
"So, come on. Tell the camera what's next for us" he says laughing behind the camera.
You smile widely and laugh, "First...Whiskey a Go Go. Next a world tour and then...a grammy!"
The tape then faded, your laughter still ringing through the speakers.
The crowd erupted into applause.
You were now crying, not full out, but tears did fall from your eyes. You took out your ear pieces and stood in shock as you heard the volume of how loudly the crowd was cheering for you.
You wiped at your tears, laughing softly into the microphone. "Wow," you say, your voice breaking a little "You guys are amazing..." You stood back for a moment, just to take everything in.
As the lights shifted, your eyes instinctively scanned the seats, smiling as you saw all your fans cheering. For a brief moment, you thought you saw familiar faces near the back.
The lights shifted again, and the faces became indistinct shadows, leaving you wondering if your imagination had gotten the better of you.
But deep down, you had a feeling that those familiar faces were in fact real.
A/N: "traitor" popstar reader, you will always be my favorite.

Eddie Roundtree x Fem!Reader: Dating the Dunne Sister
You're Billy's twin and Graham's sister:)
Y/N = Your First Name Dunne = Your Last Name Narrator = Julia Dunne (but Narrator for sake of the story)
**** the timeline is going to seem weird lol but I'm just writing what I want to write lol
Tumblr media
Narrator: Could you just introduce yourself, Auntie? Y/N: Of course, sweetie. Hi, I'm Y/N! I'm Billy's twin sister and Graham's older sister. Narrator: Could you tell us what growing up with Graham and Billy was like? Y/N: Sure, I can. My mother, Marlene, was kind and protective of us. She wanted us to have a good life and at first, she hated that my brothers wanted to pursue music. She didn't see the point in it. But when she heard them and saw their love of music, she was all in and even would make band t-shirts for all the moms. Hank, well, Billy idolized him. I thought he was cool, but something felt off about him. He disappeared and it didn't really matter to me because my mom raised me not him. I was fine. Billy was always controlling and stubborn, but I still loved him. He took over Graham's band by his third practice with them. I listened to them occasionally and they were talented. Eddie, Warren, and Chuck only saw me as Billy's twin so they stayed away from me. They thought that if they even talked to me, Billy would be mad. I once tried to audition for their band and Billy said they had no need for a female voice then said that my style of music didn't fit with them. Graham told me once that if it was his band, he would've let me stay. They were annoying and I spent many of my teenage years mad at them for not letting me join. Eddie: For the record, I do think we should have let Y/N join the band. She was a talented singer and she had this effortless groove as she sang. It made you want to keep watching and never stop. Billy: I don't regret telling Y/N she couldn't join. Not at all.
Narrator: So, could you tell everyone how you were the reason that the Six got their record deal? Y/N: I don't think I would say that. Narrator: Everyone else did. Y/N: Oh well then, that's really nice of them... So I moved to Los Angeles right when I graduated high school for college. I wanted to move away from my family and this California college offered me financial aid to afford tuition. So I studied business management and got a real estate license for California. As I studied for my degree, I needed a creative outlet, so I joined a band with my friends and we had small gigs at bars or on campus every weekend. I usually sang or played guitar, but I could also play the keyboard and clarinet if we needed it. The other members of the band were 3 girls that I met in my astronomy class. We became instant friends and named our group the Sista Sirens because we loved Greek mythology. We wanted to explore different genres, so we played a bit of everything! We sang rock covers or popular songs at bars when it started getting crowded to keep people interested or tipping. It worked well in our favor and we were discovered by Teddy Price of Runner Records. He signed us and we started creating an album. That's around when my brothers told me they were moving to Los Angeles to pursue their music. I hadn't even told them that I had started pursuing music because well, I was nervous. So they showed up and they started playing some gigs. I would attend a few and sit front row cheering them on. I told Teddy that they had real potential and a new sound, which intrigued him. I sent Teddy their way and they managed to get an audition. Narrator: How did they take the news that you pursued music and had a record deal? Y/N: They were proud and jealous. When they found out, they were calm and cool. Later, Billy was upset that I was stealing his thunder and about how he wanted to work for his record deal not get it because of me. I didn't think it mattered because the audition didn't automatically mean a record deal, he still had to win Teddy over. I was just helping him get his foot in the door and this audition meant he could get closer to living his dream of performing music live for big crowds. The rest of the band had no problem with me helping them out.
Your plan to reveal your record deal and music career was simple: Before the audition started for the Dunne Brothers, the Sista Sirens would be rehearsing and you'd play your music as they walked in to surprise them. You hear Teddy from the sound booth exclaim, "Ok, so we have the Dunne Brothers standing with me in the booth now. Sista Sirens, let's hear track one from the top to show this group the talent of Runner Records." You count off your band and play your first song. Teddy says, "Amazing job, that's it for your rehearsal today. I think we have a solid take here. Y/N, come on back!" You place your guitar in its case and carry it into the sound booth, where your siblings stare at you with their mouths wide open in shock. You laugh, settle your case next to you, and say, "Hi, brothers." Billy moves forward to hug you first then Graham. Warren then hugs you followed by Eddie. Eddie says as he hugs you, "I suppose we have you to thank for this. Thank you." You nod and smile. At least someone knew to be thankful. You notice a girl standing with them and ask, "Hi, I'm Y/N Dunne. What's your name?" She answers, "Karen Sirko and I play the keyboard. Nice to meet another Dunne." Teddy says, "You know, Y/N talked you all up. She said you had real potential and a new sound. She's in one of my most promising bands, so I can't wait to hear your sound. You have her to thank for this and I only heard one thank you from your lot. This is not a good start." You laugh and say, "And it wasn't from my brothers, so thank you, Eddie. And brothers, I love you." You notice Eddie blush and smile. Warren shoves him and you laugh. You love this band even if they can be difficult.
While the Dunne Brothers set up, you tell Teddy, "Their name is confusing, don't you think?" He laughs and says, "It is. Two of them are Dunnes and the rest are not. By the way, why didn't you join the band?" You answer, "I actually auditioned, but Billy said I couldn't join. He didn't want a female voice and he thought my music didn't match with the music he wanted to play. I also don't like their leadership styles... and I don't think siblings plus work are a good combo." He laughs and asks, "Good to know. Are you staying?" You answer, "No, the Sista Sirens have an interview later today. I have to get ready and soundcheck. You can call me to either thank me or scold me on how I was wrong later though." He laughs and you both hug.
Narrator: I guess we know that Teddy signed them. Y/N: We do and we know that they changed their name. Narrator: How were the early days of the Six for you? And was your band friends with them? Y/N: My band was like family to the Six and it made sense because 2 members were my literal family. I would go to most of their parties because my band loved their parties and they loved their house. We stayed in a 4 person apartment to save a little bit of money. Parties were a great excuse to see Camila who was so sweet and she felt like the sister I never had. I loved hanging out with her at parties. The Six went on tour with their first album and I was so proud of them. I got to see one of their shows, but my band also was touring around the same time, so I didn't get to support them as much as I would have liked. They saw one of my band's shows too and they seemed to enjoy themselves. But then during the tour, Graham called me and said that Billy went to rehab. It terrified me that I didn't know how bad he was doing and I wanted him to be okay. We had recently disagreed about touring before he left because he wanted me to make sure I was safe. We may have disagreed from time to time, but we were looking out for each other. I love my brothers. I didn't talk to most of the Six for the rest of my tour. But then they started recording album number two and I started recording album number two. Narrator: What did you think of Daisy Jones? Y/N: I had met Daisy in the studio before and she was a feature on one of our songs. We wrote a song about loneliness together, it was somber and beautiful. Teddy cried the first time he heard it live. Daisy and I celebrated at a wine bar. It was great. Narrator: So you were a fan of Daisy? Y/N: Yeah she was crazy talented. I do also think she was wild and I didn't go out with her a lot for that reason. She stressed me out because I wanted to look out for her and she just wanted to have fun. Narrator: Isn't this around when you and Eddie started dating? Y/N: Haha yeah as they were recording album number two, they partied a lot and at their Halloween party, that's when I started dating Eddie. The Halloween party of 1975 thrown by the Six was one for the books, haha.
Your band had decided to dress up as sirens with turquoise outfits, horns, and lots of dramatic make-up. It was your best costume yet.
You pull up to the party with 2 packs of beer and a pack of soda. You walk in and you feel the eyes on your band. You knew it was good, but that good? Idk haha!
You see Billy and Camila matching causing you to smile. They see you, hug you, and Camila says, "Wow you are all stunning. You also brought drinks, thank you." You reply, "I did, yes. Billy, you might want to get some soda before it's all taken." He smiles and thanks you.
Camila leads you over to Karen and Karen gasps at your costume. Karen exclaims, "Oh wow, this costume is amazing. You look so gorgeous." You thank her and say, "I love your costume as well." Camila says, "We have something we want to ask you." You ask, "Ok what?" Karen asks, "What do you think of Eddie? Like would you date him?" You laugh and ask, "I do think he's attractive and I would date him, but my brothers would freak out." Camila smiles and says, "This is too good to be true. Come on, he like likes you, girl. He talked about your band all tour and would make the driver turn up the radio if your music came on. He kind of annoyed your brothers by talking about your achievements... Look, he's with Warren, Graham, and some random girls right now. You and Karen should go over to interrupt. Graham won't care about what you're up to if Karen is there, trust me. He likes her too much." You laugh and ask, "And Karen, what do you think of my brother?" Karen answers, "He's cute, but I'm not looking for a relationship and I think he is." You nod and reply, "Well just let him down easy then." Karen nods.
You and Karen strut over to the crew. You noticed Eddie's eyes on yours as soon as you started walking in his direction and they never leave. Warren exclaims, "Oh wow, all hail Y/N and Karen! Look at these sexy costumes! Who did you wear them for?" You wink at Eddie before answering, "Wouldn't you like to know." Karen answers, "Maybe we wore them for ourselves because we're hot and we know it." Warren whistles and laughs. The two girls tug at the boys to dance and the only one who caves to them is Warren, so they walk off together. Graham asks, "How are you, Y/N?" You answer, "I'm doing great. My band brought your favorite beer, so if you want it before it's out, get to the fridge quick." Graham smiles, kisses you on the cheek, and says, "You're my favorite sibling ever." Graham rushes off and Karen says, "I'm going with him," before she runs off.
You look at Eddie and say, "I like your costume, Eddie." He replies, "Oh this old thing, it's nothing... Yours is wow. I mean, it's sexy and shiny and beautiful." You reply, "Thanks, Eddie. You're sexy and beautiful too." He laughs and you hear your name being called by Billy. You sigh and say, "Sorry Eddie, Billy is calling and we know not to leave him waiting. Can we talk later?" He nods and answers, "Yeah, find me later even if I'm with someone else. I'll choose you to spend the rest of my night with." You feel yourself blush and you say, "Oh... wow okay." He smiles and you rush off towards Billy.
Billy introduces you to some random guy and the guy is sleazy. WTF was Billy doing? Did he just not want you with Eddie? UGH! The guy suggested that we leave together, but you said no. He then tried to get closer to you to kiss you, but you also said no. You notice his fists clench and you run over to where Eddie is talking with a girl. Eddie faces away from the girl, stares at you, and you ask, "Can I kiss you? I need to kiss someone right now and I'd prefer it if it is you. I'll tell you why after." Eddie nods and you pull him down into a kiss. Eddie kisses you back and wraps his arm around your waist. When you pull away from the kiss, you exclaim, "Sorry about that, Billy called me away from you to set me up with someone random. He set me up with this jerk who tried to kiss me and make me leave with him even when I refused. I ran away and found you. I hoped that he would leave me alone if I was with someone else." Eddie replies, "For good measure, let's kiss again." You kiss him again and then Eddie asks, "Okay, what did he look like? I'm throwing him out of this party. You disrespect my girl, you're done. And I'm sure if we tell your brothers, they'll approve of me tossing him out." You inform Eddie and point out the disgusting guy. Then, you find Billy with Camila and tell them about the situation. Billy apologizes for setting you up with that random guy, and Camila holds you tight in a hug. The boys then go off to throw the guy out. Camila says, "Billy stormed off when he saw you alone with Eddie. I don't get why he hates him so much. They used to be best friends. I'm sorry that he did that tonight." You reply, "I'm just glad I could get away and that I found Eddie so fast." She replies. "Me too."
Billy and Eddie return. Billy apologizes again and you say, "Look, I'm just glad I got away from him before something worse happened to me. And I'm glad I found Eddie. It all worked out fine, but I think I need a drink. So if you'll excuse me, I'm going to make one." You walk off to the kitchen and start mixing liquors. You see Eddie leaning against the kitchen counter near your supplies, so you ask, "Eddie, do you want a drink too?" He answers, "Sure since you offered." You stand next to him mixing up your drinks and you feel his gaze on you. You hand him his drink and say, "Thank you for saving me tonight, Eddie." He replies, "Of course, Y/N. I'll always be there to protect you or save you from anything and everyone." You smile, cheer your glasses, and sip. Eddie says, "Holy sh** you can make a good drink. When did you learn this?" You answer, "Haha I made some for friends in college. I think making drinks is fun." He leads you back outside and you both sit next to each other. You both talk the rest of the night :)
When you go inside, you find 2 members of your band cuddling asleep on the couch and Graham tells you that the other one is with Warren. Karen pulls Graham away to help her and you exclaim, "Ok so I either wake up my band and anger them or I stay here tonight then we leave tomorrow morning." Eddie says, "Don't risk their anger. You should stay with me. I promise I won't steal all of the sheets." You smirk, place your hands on his chest, and say, "Ok, but I need something to sleep in unless you want me to sleep naked tonight." He smirks and says, "I wouldn't mind one bit, follow me."
You go back to Eddie's room and Eddie exclaims, "I really really like you. I don't want to force you have sex to have somewhere to sleep tonight. We don't have to if you don't want to." You cup his face gently and ask, "Do you want to?" He puts his arm gently around your waist and answers, "What I want is not relevant." You reply, "But sex is about two people wanting it, so I think what you want is entirely too relevant." He smiles and says, "You were always the most clever Dunne, weren't you?" You answer, "Yeah, and if you want to see how clever I am in bed, then I suggest you get to undressing."
The next morning, you feel light pouring into your eyes and you flip over only coming face to face with Eddie. Eddie is smiling softly at you and you say, "Good morning." He replies, "Your morning voice is hot. Kiss me." You kiss him gently and say, "So is yours." He says, "I don't want this one night to be it. I want to take you out on dates and be your boyfriend." You reply, "I would like that very much, Eddie. You kind of told me you liked me last night, so I had hoped we could go on a date." He asks, "Did you say you liked me?" You answer, "I didn't, but I think I showed you last night how much I care about you... I really like you Eddie Roundtree and I think you're the sexiest bass player I know." He smirks and says, "Yeah... well you're the sexiest lead singer I know." You smile and say, "Yeah, I mean if you found my brother hot and just did this to get him jealous, then we'd have a problem." He laughs and says, "I most certainly am only into one girl and she is named Y/N Dunne." You smile and kiss him.
After showering and putting last night's clothes on, you and Eddie go out to breakfast. Everyone else is there and they just stare at you. Warren says, "Nice of you to finally join us, sex demons." Graham slaps him and says, "Ew that is my sister." You sit next to Camila who you lean against and she hands you a plate of pancakes that you gladly eat. Eddie sits next to you on your other side and barely talks.
After breakfast, Eddie walks you out to your car and you ask, "Hey, are you doing okay? You weren't as talkative at breakfast." He answers, "Yeah I just... I don't want your brothers to think I'm using you for sex or something. I want them to know I care about you a lot and we're not sex demons." You smile and say, "Then tell them that you seriously like me, just maybe leave out the sex demon comment. I don't think they like hearing about my sex life. I'm sure they'll approve and even if they don't, screw them and take me out." He smiles and says, "Anything for you, Y/N. I'll try talking with them and I'll call you after I do so we can schedule our first date." You kiss him and say, "Great, I look forward to hearing from you."
Narrator: Did Billy and Graham approve? Y/N: Graham immediately did. He said I was a grown-up who could make their own decisions and he knew Eddie before Billy, so he stood up for him. Graham even said that Eddie had liked me for years and he just hid it really well. Billy is protective as I've said before, but he did approve of us. Eddie confessing his feelings to Billy meant a lot to Billy and he trusted Eddie with me more than before. Billy told me to be careful though and to not break his heart because it would break up his band. It was silly and I understood. Eddie: They did haha. When I went back in after saying bye to her, the whole band was bombarding me with questions about us. So I told them all to sit down and shut up so I could explain. I told them about my crush on Y/N that started when we were younger and grew when I started listening to her music. I told them how I was proud of her and wanted her to be treated like the Queen she was. Billy and Camila loved how I compared her to a Queen. Graham said he approved easily. Billy asked me more questions about my intentions before telling me that he was cool with us dating. Narrator: Honeycomb blew up and Daisy officially joined the band. Then your band was the opening act for the Daisy Jones & the Six's The Aurora Tour. Can you tell me how that happened? Y/N: My band was selling albums, but not like The Six. We were able to fill smaller venues pretty easily, but it worried Teddy. Teddy liked me and he said that he knew he could help us grow more. He said that if we opened for The Aurora Tour, part of the whole draw was seeing a Dunne perform and then 2 more. It could be a family show and show our family's talent. Billy, Graham, and I did a few interviews talking about how we all became musicians. We did a magazine cover promoting the tour and showing how close we were. It was great. I can't remember a time when we three were closer. Billy: It was great to bond with my siblings over music. We wrote and played a song together that the Sista Sirens released... You know, Y/N helped our band start out and we helped her band grow. It was nice to feel like I was repaying her for that audition with Teddy. Graham: It was great for us to work on a song together, just us three. Y/N was always the calm one who made sure everyone was heard. Billy had this genius songwriting brain that could string our ideas together flawlessly. I knew how to tie in instrumentals and tie it all together. It was one of my favorite songs I've helped to create. Narrator: And how was the Aurora Tour? Y/N: Insane in both good and bad ways. We played our first show in Los Angeles and the crowd was electric. It was amazing to be on tour with the band. We had lots of fun and many mistakes were made. Eddie and I were falling quickly for each other, which terrified us. We would do the awkward stare across the party wondering if we should confess our love to each other. It drove our friends insane. Narrator: What did the Sista Sirens do when the Chicago stadium show was done? Y/N: We knew it was the end and we embraced it. We played an unreleased track to gain some excitement over it and we played our hearts out. My band left on our bus with Eddie on it and we drove home. Eddie moved in with us for a while and he never left actually... we got married the next year. We now have a kid and we have jobs haha... the good life.
