Eddie Roundtree x Fem!Reader: Dating the Dunne Sister
You're Billy's twin and Graham's sister:)
Y/N = Your First Name Dunne = Your Last Name Narrator = Julia Dunne (but Narrator for sake of the story)
**** the timeline is going to seem weird lol but I'm just writing what I want to write lol
Tumblr media
Narrator: Could you just introduce yourself, Auntie? Y/N: Of course, sweetie. Hi, I'm Y/N! I'm Billy's twin sister and Graham's older sister. Narrator: Could you tell us what growing up with Graham and Billy was like? Y/N: Sure, I can. My mother, Marlene, was kind and protective of us. She wanted us to have a good life and at first, she hated that my brothers wanted to pursue music. She didn't see the point in it. But when she heard them and saw their love of music, she was all in and even would make band t-shirts for all the moms. Hank, well, Billy idolized him. I thought he was cool, but something felt off about him. He disappeared and it didn't really matter to me because my mom raised me not him. I was fine. Billy was always controlling and stubborn, but I still loved him. He took over Graham's band by his third practice with them. I listened to them occasionally and they were talented. Eddie, Warren, and Chuck only saw me as Billy's twin so they stayed away from me. They thought that if they even talked to me, Billy would be mad. I once tried to audition for their band and Billy said they had no need for a female voice then said that my style of music didn't fit with them. Graham told me once that if it was his band, he would've let me stay. They were annoying and I spent many of my teenage years mad at them for not letting me join. Eddie: For the record, I do think we should have let Y/N join the band. She was a talented singer and she had this effortless groove as she sang. It made you want to keep watching and never stop. Billy: I don't regret telling Y/N she couldn't join. Not at all.
Narrator: So, could you tell everyone how you were the reason that the Six got their record deal? Y/N: I don't think I would say that. Narrator: Everyone else did. Y/N: Oh well then, that's really nice of them... So I moved to Los Angeles right when I graduated high school for college. I wanted to move away from my family and this California college offered me financial aid to afford tuition. So I studied business management and got a real estate license for California. As I studied for my degree, I needed a creative outlet, so I joined a band with my friends and we had small gigs at bars or on campus every weekend. I usually sang or played guitar, but I could also play the keyboard and clarinet if we needed it. The other members of the band were 3 girls that I met in my astronomy class. We became instant friends and named our group the Sista Sirens because we loved Greek mythology. We wanted to explore different genres, so we played a bit of everything! We sang rock covers or popular songs at bars when it started getting crowded to keep people interested or tipping. It worked well in our favor and we were discovered by Teddy Price of Runner Records. He signed us and we started creating an album. That's around when my brothers told me they were moving to Los Angeles to pursue their music. I hadn't even told them that I had started pursuing music because well, I was nervous. So they showed up and they started playing some gigs. I would attend a few and sit front row cheering them on. I told Teddy that they had real potential and a new sound, which intrigued him. I sent Teddy their way and they managed to get an audition. Narrator: How did they take the news that you pursued music and had a record deal? Y/N: They were proud and jealous. When they found out, they were calm and cool. Later, Billy was upset that I was stealing his thunder and about how he wanted to work for his record deal not get it because of me. I didn't think it mattered because the audition didn't automatically mean a record deal, he still had to win Teddy over. I was just helping him get his foot in the door and this audition meant he could get closer to living his dream of performing music live for big crowds. The rest of the band had no problem with me helping them out.
Your plan to reveal your record deal and music career was simple: Before the audition started for the Dunne Brothers, the Sista Sirens would be rehearsing and you'd play your music as they walked in to surprise them. You hear Teddy from the sound booth exclaim, "Ok, so we have the Dunne Brothers standing with me in the booth now. Sista Sirens, let's hear track one from the top to show this group the talent of Runner Records." You count off your band and play your first song. Teddy says, "Amazing job, that's it for your rehearsal today. I think we have a solid take here. Y/N, come on back!" You place your guitar in its case and carry it into the sound booth, where your siblings stare at you with their mouths wide open in shock. You laugh, settle your case next to you, and say, "Hi, brothers." Billy moves forward to hug you first then Graham. Warren then hugs you followed by Eddie. Eddie says as he hugs you, "I suppose we have you to thank for this. Thank you." You nod and smile. At least someone knew to be thankful. You notice a girl standing with them and ask, "Hi, I'm Y/N Dunne. What's your name?" She answers, "Karen Sirko and I play the keyboard. Nice to meet another Dunne." Teddy says, "You know, Y/N talked you all up. She said you had real potential and a new sound. She's in one of my most promising bands, so I can't wait to hear your sound. You have her to thank for this and I only heard one thank you from your lot. This is not a good start." You laugh and say, "And it wasn't from my brothers, so thank you, Eddie. And brothers, I love you." You notice Eddie blush and smile. Warren shoves him and you laugh. You love this band even if they can be difficult.
While the Dunne Brothers set up, you tell Teddy, "Their name is confusing, don't you think?" He laughs and says, "It is. Two of them are Dunnes and the rest are not. By the way, why didn't you join the band?" You answer, "I actually auditioned, but Billy said I couldn't join. He didn't want a female voice and he thought my music didn't match with the music he wanted to play. I also don't like their leadership styles... and I don't think siblings plus work are a good combo." He laughs and asks, "Good to know. Are you staying?" You answer, "No, the Sista Sirens have an interview later today. I have to get ready and soundcheck. You can call me to either thank me or scold me on how I was wrong later though." He laughs and you both hug.
Narrator: I guess we know that Teddy signed them. Y/N: We do and we know that they changed their name. Narrator: How were the early days of the Six for you? And was your band friends with them? Y/N: My band was like family to the Six and it made sense because 2 members were my literal family. I would go to most of their parties because my band loved their parties and they loved their house. We stayed in a 4 person apartment to save a little bit of money. Parties were a great excuse to see Camila who was so sweet and she felt like the sister I never had. I loved hanging out with her at parties. The Six went on tour with their first album and I was so proud of them. I got to see one of their shows, but my band also was touring around the same time, so I didn't get to support them as much as I would have liked. They saw one of my band's shows too and they seemed to enjoy themselves. But then during the tour, Graham called me and said that Billy went to rehab. It terrified me that I didn't know how bad he was doing and I wanted him to be okay. We had recently disagreed about touring before he left because he wanted me to make sure I was safe. We may have disagreed from time to time, but we were looking out for each other. I love my brothers. I didn't talk to most of the Six for the rest of my tour. But then they started recording album number two and I started recording album number two. Narrator: What did you think of Daisy Jones? Y/N: I had met Daisy in the studio before and she was a feature on one of our songs. We wrote a song about loneliness together, it was somber and beautiful. Teddy cried the first time he heard it live. Daisy and I celebrated at a wine bar. It was great. Narrator: So you were a fan of Daisy? Y/N: Yeah she was crazy talented. I do also think she was wild and I didn't go out with her a lot for that reason. She stressed me out because I wanted to look out for her and she just wanted to have fun. Narrator: Isn't this around when you and Eddie started dating? Y/N: Haha yeah as they were recording album number two, they partied a lot and at their Halloween party, that's when I started dating Eddie. The Halloween party of 1975 thrown by the Six was one for the books, haha.
Your band had decided to dress up as sirens with turquoise outfits, horns, and lots of dramatic make-up. It was your best costume yet.
You pull up to the party with 2 packs of beer and a pack of soda. You walk in and you feel the eyes on your band. You knew it was good, but that good? Idk haha!
You see Billy and Camila matching causing you to smile. They see you, hug you, and Camila says, "Wow you are all stunning. You also brought drinks, thank you." You reply, "I did, yes. Billy, you might want to get some soda before it's all taken." He smiles and thanks you.
Camila leads you over to Karen and Karen gasps at your costume. Karen exclaims, "Oh wow, this costume is amazing. You look so gorgeous." You thank her and say, "I love your costume as well." Camila says, "We have something we want to ask you." You ask, "Ok what?" Karen asks, "What do you think of Eddie? Like would you date him?" You laugh and ask, "I do think he's attractive and I would date him, but my brothers would freak out." Camila smiles and says, "This is too good to be true. Come on, he like likes you, girl. He talked about your band all tour and would make the driver turn up the radio if your music came on. He kind of annoyed your brothers by talking about your achievements... Look, he's with Warren, Graham, and some random girls right now. You and Karen should go over to interrupt. Graham won't care about what you're up to if Karen is there, trust me. He likes her too much." You laugh and ask, "And Karen, what do you think of my brother?" Karen answers, "He's cute, but I'm not looking for a relationship and I think he is." You nod and reply, "Well just let him down easy then." Karen nods.
You and Karen strut over to the crew. You noticed Eddie's eyes on yours as soon as you started walking in his direction and they never leave. Warren exclaims, "Oh wow, all hail Y/N and Karen! Look at these sexy costumes! Who did you wear them for?" You wink at Eddie before answering, "Wouldn't you like to know." Karen answers, "Maybe we wore them for ourselves because we're hot and we know it." Warren whistles and laughs. The two girls tug at the boys to dance and the only one who caves to them is Warren, so they walk off together. Graham asks, "How are you, Y/N?" You answer, "I'm doing great. My band brought your favorite beer, so if you want it before it's out, get to the fridge quick." Graham smiles, kisses you on the cheek, and says, "You're my favorite sibling ever." Graham rushes off and Karen says, "I'm going with him," before she runs off.
You look at Eddie and say, "I like your costume, Eddie." He replies, "Oh this old thing, it's nothing... Yours is wow. I mean, it's sexy and shiny and beautiful." You reply, "Thanks, Eddie. You're sexy and beautiful too." He laughs and you hear your name being called by Billy. You sigh and say, "Sorry Eddie, Billy is calling and we know not to leave him waiting. Can we talk later?" He nods and answers, "Yeah, find me later even if I'm with someone else. I'll choose you to spend the rest of my night with." You feel yourself blush and you say, "Oh... wow okay." He smiles and you rush off towards Billy.
Billy introduces you to some random guy and the guy is sleazy. WTF was Billy doing? Did he just not want you with Eddie? UGH! The guy suggested that we leave together, but you said no. He then tried to get closer to you to kiss you, but you also said no. You notice his fists clench and you run over to where Eddie is talking with a girl. Eddie faces away from the girl, stares at you, and you ask, "Can I kiss you? I need to kiss someone right now and I'd prefer it if it is you. I'll tell you why after." Eddie nods and you pull him down into a kiss. Eddie kisses you back and wraps his arm around your waist. When you pull away from the kiss, you exclaim, "Sorry about that, Billy called me away from you to set me up with someone random. He set me up with this jerk who tried to kiss me and make me leave with him even when I refused. I ran away and found you. I hoped that he would leave me alone if I was with someone else." Eddie replies, "For good measure, let's kiss again." You kiss him again and then Eddie asks, "Okay, what did he look like? I'm throwing him out of this party. You disrespect my girl, you're done. And I'm sure if we tell your brothers, they'll approve of me tossing him out." You inform Eddie and point out the disgusting guy. Then, you find Billy with Camila and tell them about the situation. Billy apologizes for setting you up with that random guy, and Camila holds you tight in a hug. The boys then go off to throw the guy out. Camila says, "Billy stormed off when he saw you alone with Eddie. I don't get why he hates him so much. They used to be best friends. I'm sorry that he did that tonight." You reply, "I'm just glad I could get away and that I found Eddie so fast." She replies. "Me too."
Billy and Eddie return. Billy apologizes again and you say, "Look, I'm just glad I got away from him before something worse happened to me. And I'm glad I found Eddie. It all worked out fine, but I think I need a drink. So if you'll excuse me, I'm going to make one." You walk off to the kitchen and start mixing liquors. You see Eddie leaning against the kitchen counter near your supplies, so you ask, "Eddie, do you want a drink too?" He answers, "Sure since you offered." You stand next to him mixing up your drinks and you feel his gaze on you. You hand him his drink and say, "Thank you for saving me tonight, Eddie." He replies, "Of course, Y/N. I'll always be there to protect you or save you from anything and everyone." You smile, cheer your glasses, and sip. Eddie says, "Holy sh** you can make a good drink. When did you learn this?" You answer, "Haha I made some for friends in college. I think making drinks is fun." He leads you back outside and you both sit next to each other. You both talk the rest of the night :)
When you go inside, you find 2 members of your band cuddling asleep on the couch and Graham tells you that the other one is with Warren. Karen pulls Graham away to help her and you exclaim, "Ok so I either wake up my band and anger them or I stay here tonight then we leave tomorrow morning." Eddie says, "Don't risk their anger. You should stay with me. I promise I won't steal all of the sheets." You smirk, place your hands on his chest, and say, "Ok, but I need something to sleep in unless you want me to sleep naked tonight." He smirks and says, "I wouldn't mind one bit, follow me."
You go back to Eddie's room and Eddie exclaims, "I really really like you. I don't want to force you have sex to have somewhere to sleep tonight. We don't have to if you don't want to." You cup his face gently and ask, "Do you want to?" He puts his arm gently around your waist and answers, "What I want is not relevant." You reply, "But sex is about two people wanting it, so I think what you want is entirely too relevant." He smiles and says, "You were always the most clever Dunne, weren't you?" You answer, "Yeah, and if you want to see how clever I am in bed, then I suggest you get to undressing."
The next morning, you feel light pouring into your eyes and you flip over only coming face to face with Eddie. Eddie is smiling softly at you and you say, "Good morning." He replies, "Your morning voice is hot. Kiss me." You kiss him gently and say, "So is yours." He says, "I don't want this one night to be it. I want to take you out on dates and be your boyfriend." You reply, "I would like that very much, Eddie. You kind of told me you liked me last night, so I had hoped we could go on a date." He asks, "Did you say you liked me?" You answer, "I didn't, but I think I showed you last night how much I care about you... I really like you Eddie Roundtree and I think you're the sexiest bass player I know." He smirks and says, "Yeah... well you're the sexiest lead singer I know." You smile and say, "Yeah, I mean if you found my brother hot and just did this to get him jealous, then we'd have a problem." He laughs and says, "I most certainly am only into one girl and she is named Y/N Dunne." You smile and kiss him.
After showering and putting last night's clothes on, you and Eddie go out to breakfast. Everyone else is there and they just stare at you. Warren says, "Nice of you to finally join us, sex demons." Graham slaps him and says, "Ew that is my sister." You sit next to Camila who you lean against and she hands you a plate of pancakes that you gladly eat. Eddie sits next to you on your other side and barely talks.
After breakfast, Eddie walks you out to your car and you ask, "Hey, are you doing okay? You weren't as talkative at breakfast." He answers, "Yeah I just... I don't want your brothers to think I'm using you for sex or something. I want them to know I care about you a lot and we're not sex demons." You smile and say, "Then tell them that you seriously like me, just maybe leave out the sex demon comment. I don't think they like hearing about my sex life. I'm sure they'll approve and even if they don't, screw them and take me out." He smiles and says, "Anything for you, Y/N. I'll try talking with them and I'll call you after I do so we can schedule our first date." You kiss him and say, "Great, I look forward to hearing from you."
Narrator: Did Billy and Graham approve? Y/N: Graham immediately did. He said I was a grown-up who could make their own decisions and he knew Eddie before Billy, so he stood up for him. Graham even said that Eddie had liked me for years and he just hid it really well. Billy is protective as I've said before, but he did approve of us. Eddie confessing his feelings to Billy meant a lot to Billy and he trusted Eddie with me more than before. Billy told me to be careful though and to not break his heart because it would break up his band. It was silly and I understood. Eddie: They did haha. When I went back in after saying bye to her, the whole band was bombarding me with questions about us. So I told them all to sit down and shut up so I could explain. I told them about my crush on Y/N that started when we were younger and grew when I started listening to her music. I told them how I was proud of her and wanted her to be treated like the Queen she was. Billy and Camila loved how I compared her to a Queen. Graham said he approved easily. Billy asked me more questions about my intentions before telling me that he was cool with us dating. Narrator: Honeycomb blew up and Daisy officially joined the band. Then your band was the opening act for the Daisy Jones & the Six's The Aurora Tour. Can you tell me how that happened? Y/N: My band was selling albums, but not like The Six. We were able to fill smaller venues pretty easily, but it worried Teddy. Teddy liked me and he said that he knew he could help us grow more. He said that if we opened for The Aurora Tour, part of the whole draw was seeing a Dunne perform and then 2 more. It could be a family show and show our family's talent. Billy, Graham, and I did a few interviews talking about how we all became musicians. We did a magazine cover promoting the tour and showing how close we were. It was great. I can't remember a time when we three were closer. Billy: It was great to bond with my siblings over music. We wrote and played a song together that the Sista Sirens released... You know, Y/N helped our band start out and we helped her band grow. It was nice to feel like I was repaying her for that audition with Teddy. Graham: It was great for us to work on a song together, just us three. Y/N was always the calm one who made sure everyone was heard. Billy had this genius songwriting brain that could string our ideas together flawlessly. I knew how to tie in instrumentals and tie it all together. It was one of my favorite songs I've helped to create. Narrator: And how was the Aurora Tour? Y/N: Insane in both good and bad ways. We played our first show in Los Angeles and the crowd was electric. It was amazing to be on tour with the band. We had lots of fun and many mistakes were made. Eddie and I were falling quickly for each other, which terrified us. We would do the awkward stare across the party wondering if we should confess our love to each other. It drove our friends insane. Narrator: What did the Sista Sirens do when the Chicago stadium show was done? Y/N: We knew it was the end and we embraced it. We played an unreleased track to gain some excitement over it and we played our hearts out. My band left on our bus with Eddie on it and we drove home. Eddie moved in with us for a while and he never left actually... we got married the next year. We now have a kid and we have jobs haha... the good life.

How They All Found Out || ER
You and Eddie were doing a good job of sneaking around with your realationship. But slowly, as you two start to fall more and more in love, it gets harder to hide your feelings from the band.

You and Eddie starting seeing eachother on the break of the SevenEightNine tour. It was perfect timing, you didn’t have to hide, since it was always just the two of you. You got along so well, It felt like you were the only people in the world. Nothing else mattered. The two of you would lie in bed all day, no worries but eachother. It was all perfect. That was, until, Billy got out of Rehab and the band got together again. Then everything got hard.
Eddie Roundtree (Rhythm Guitarist): That first month or two, man, those were the days. Just me and my girl, nothing else to worry about. It was all so easy. And don’t get me wrong, when we [the band] got back together, I was thrilled. It just meant things would get harder for Y/n and me.
You and Eddie were lying in bed together one morning, the sun shining through the windows of your now shared bedroom. Your head was lying on his chest while his hand rested on your lower back. The only thing you were wearing was (his) a tshirt and your underwear. It was a perfect, peaceful scene. But, inside your head, everything was the opposite. Billy had just gotten out of Rehab. Which would normally be good, but all it did was make things more complicated. The band would start practicing again. And you didn’t want what you had with Eddie to just stop. You hadn’t talked about what you were, but you were sure he would want to stay together. He acted like your boyfriend. And that was all the mattered, right?
“Eddie, what do you think will happen when we start practicing again?” You asked, tentatively. You had been thinking about asking this question for a while. If Eddie was going to end it, you wanted it over with. Rip the band-aid off, right? He turned his head toward you and smiled slightly. “Well, what do you want to do?” He started, “I mean, I dont want to stop this. I like you, a whole lot.” You felt your face heat up. You felt like a 13-year-old girl with her first crush, but you didn’t care. Eddie had that effect on you. You replied, “Me too. It’s just- Would you mind if we don’t tell the others? Just for a while.”
Y/N L/N (Bassist): When you’re a woman in a band, people say a lot of shitty things to you. They’ll question your ability to play, say others are better than you. Back then, what other people thought meant a lot to me. I didn’t want to be “Eddie Roundtree’s Girlfriend.” I wanted to be known as me.
You could see his smile falter. You didn’t want this, but it was for the best. The best for you, atleast. You’d still have lots of time together, right? Everything would be the same. That’s what you kept telling yourself.
“Yeah, sure. As long as I get to keep kissing you.” Eddie said. You were glad he was taking it well. He puts a smirk on leans over to kiss you. You laugh and put both your hands on the side of his face to pull him in. He adjusts himself to be on top of you.
Maybe this would work out better than you thought.

Practice with the band has been going great. It was four months after Billy had gotten back. He was doing a lot better, and you were proud of him. You guys were playing more than ever, just trying to make up for lost time. That meant waking up early and staying in the studio til the late hours of the night.
The downside of this was that you and Eddie got less and less time together. You could see his longing glances across the studio, when the rest of the band was there. He just wanted to be together, which you could understand. You would take every opportunity possible to sneak into his room, most times just to talk. You wanted to be near him, to hear his voice and feel his touch. It was getting increasingly harder to not do so in front of others.
One night, after a long practice, you were struggling to sleep. It had been happening for nights and nights in a row. You weren’t sure why, most likely due to all the stress of the rehearsals. You had tried everything from counting sheep, flipping yor pillow, you even smoked a cigarette or two. But nothing helped. After tossing and turning for what seemed like hours, you decided you would head into the kitchen to get a glass of water.
You slowly rolled out of your bed, your feet touching the cold floor beneath you as you walked to your door. You quietly opened the door, slipping out of your bedroom. The last thing you wanted was to wake the whole house up at this hour. Quickly, you scurried into the kitchen. You stuck your hands out to feel around for the cabinet holding the cups. But, instead of your hands finding a knob, you felt a mop of soft, blonde hair.
“What the hell,” Eddie quickly turned around to face you, loudly shutting the cabinet holding the glassware. “Eddie!” You scolded him for being so loud. You placed a hand over his mouth, symbolizing for him to be quiet. He tried to stifle a laugh as he grabbed the hand in front of his mouth, encasing it in his much larger hand. “Funny seeing you here, baby.” Eddie smirked as he placed one hand firmly on your hip, still holding one of your hands. You laughed quietly, a smile reserved only for him starting to appear on your face. He leaned down to kiss you on the forehead. “I’ve missed you.” Eddie said. You laughed quietly, quickly responding, “I saw you five hours ago, remember?” He rolls his eyes at you. “Not like that. I miss being alone with you.” He says suggestively. He slowly starts tracing patterns on your hand with his thumb.
“Well, we have alone time right now… why not make good use of it?” You smirk. Eddie leaned down to kiss your jaw, moving down until he reached your neck. Your wrapped your hands around his neck, slightly turning your head to give him better access. You were fully wrapped up in the kisses before you realized where you were. He was kissing you in the middle of the kitchen! Anyone could walk in! “Eddie,” you started, but he ignored your call. “Eddie!” you said it much louder this time, but not loud enough for anyone else to hear. He stopped his trail of kisses, leaning his forehead against yours. He was so close to your lips, if he leaned in any further they would touch.
“We shouldn’t be doing this right now. Atleast not here.” You said. You bit your lip immediately after, pulling back your words. You knew it wasn’t right, but you missed him so much you couldn’t help it. “I know you don’t mean that.” Eddie said, tauntingly. He pulled a hand up to your lip, untucking it from under your teeth. “You bite your lip when you lie, sweetheart. You’re not very good at it.” He whispers to you. What happens next, you couldn’t control. You crashed your lips into his, hungrily looking for more.
Eddie places his hands under your thighs, and you jump up, wrapping your legs around him. His hands trace circles on your bare skin, making your heart jump. While your lips are still on his, he carries you to the counter, placing you down in front of him. His body is between your legs. Eddie is kissing down your neck, leaving light hickeys wherever he wants too. Those will be a problem for tomorrow. But right now, you’re fully in the moment. His hands are now under your shirt, and you can feel your heartbeat rising.
You’d been waiting for this forever. At this point, you’d forgotten you were in the middle of the kitchen. You needed him, and he needed you. The last time you were able to be together like this was weeks ago. All the pent-up tension between the two of you was being released with each kiss. Eddie grabs the end of your shirt, signalling for you to take it off. You do, and he kisses your shoulders and chest. But all the sudden, he stops. You look down at him, confused.
“Eddie? Eddie what happen-“
“Woah.” Warren says, startling you.
You turn your head, your face displaying total shock. Of course, someone would walk in! Just your luck. You quickly pull your shirt over your head and hop off the counter. This would take some explaining.
“You guys? You guys are hooking up?” Warren continues. His mouth is wide open. He’s laughing, rather loudly too. “I would’ve never guessed, man!”
The three of you stand there, all in total shock, for about a minute.
Warren Rojas (Drummer): It was crazy. I mean, we all knew they [Y/n and Eddie] had something. But I would’ve never known they’d been fucking. I always wondered why they didn’t tell anyone.
“So,” Eddie said. He looked at you for guidance.
“Please don’t tell anybody, Warren. Please.” You were practically begging him. You looked at him with your best puppy dog eyes and pleading smile. You could feel Eddie brushing his fingers against yours, almost for comfort.
“You guys don’t have to worry about me. I‘ll keep your secret.” He said. “I better be best man at the wedding, though.” Warren laughed.
“It’s not-“ Eddie said.
“Yeah, yeah. Can I atleast get some food though?” He said motioning to where you guys were standing, blocking the fridge.
You both nodded and scooted over very akwardly. You looked up at Eddie and all you could do was laugh, leaning into him. You placed your head on his chest, and he reached his hand up to cradle the back of your head. You were both laughing quietly. The situation was really ridiculous. You had been so careful, you never thought you would get caught. But it’s only one person who knows, right? And Warren wouldn’t dare tell anybody.
When Warren finished with whatever he was getting from the fridge, he started to walk away. When he was almost to his door, he turned to face you and Eddie. He looked like he wanted to say something but decided against it. He settled with an akward wave. With that, Warren was gone.
“So, where were we…” Eddie said, slowly starting to kiss yor jaw. You put your hands out, putting space between the two of you.
“I’d rather not have the entire band walk in on us, Eds.” You say. Your decision still stands, about not wanting the whole world to know of you and Eddie’s realationship. If you could even call it that, really. “But, maybe if we went to one of our bedrooms…” You trail off. Eddie doesn’t have to hear anymore. He is dragging you off to his room.
Eddie Roundtree: That was a good night for me. For us. I think it really made me realize what I wanted for us. Y/n still didn’t want to come out in the open with our realationship, which I understood. But that didn’t mean we couldn’t have something just between us. So I asked her to be my girlfriend that night. And she said yes. *smiles*

About two months or so after the Warren incident, the band was back in the studio recording. You were working with Teddy Price again. It was a miracle he let you back, considering how terribly the last tour ended. He suggested you bring in a new voice, someone who could bring more traction to the band. He suggested Daisy Jones. So, the band got to work on your new song Aurora, with the help of the wonderful Daisy.
One late night, the whole band was out with Daisy at Chateau Marmont. It was one of her many parties, which were always marvelous. You were wearing a short black skirt, matched with a white halter top with red floral detailing. You put together this outfit especially for a lipstick you wanted to wear, that was gifted to you by Karen, for your birthday. It was a gorgeous deep red color that complimented your skin perfectly.
You arrived at the Chateau a little later than everyone else, and you quickly found who you were looking for. Eddie. You made your way across the room to him. His face lit up with an all too familiar boyish smile. Eddie was standing alone next to the drinks, nursing a beer. He reached down to the cooler and grabbed you one, popping it open for you.
“Here you go, Y/n.” Eddie said while holding out his hand with the open beer. You took it with a smile.
“I’ve been looking for you all night, baby. Where have you been?” said Eddie. He takes a quick sip of his beer, admiring you. You can see his eyes flick up and down, from your legs up to your face. You could tell they lingered on your chest, which was exactly what you wanted. “I like this shirt.” He says, winking. You scan the room, making sure nobody is watching. You slowly take his hand and place a sloppy kiss on his lips. You start to lead him into a close bathroom.
“Are you sure Y/n? I mean we just got here, and you said you still wanted to keep us a secret.” Eddie says, looking at you concerningly. But you can tell, by how Eddie is looking at you and how he’s standing, with one hand holding yours and the other tight on your ass, that he really wants to sneak into the bathroom aswell. He was looking out for you, which was always something you admired about him. He was always considerate.
“It’ll be quick.” You smirk. You both make it into the restroom. You turn and lock the door behind you.
Around 30 minutes later, Eddie emerges from the bathroom. You both decided he would go first, just in case someone you two knew was by the door. This way nobody would become suspicious. He walks out back into the party, which has gained guests and volume while the two of you were away. He navigates through the crowd to find another beer. While searching for that, he finds two people from the band. Karen and Daisy were standing in the corner together. They wave Eddie over and he walks towards them.
“Hey Eddie, where have you been?” Says Karen. Daisy and Karen both smile at him, whilst exchanging looks. Eddie doesn’t catch it at first. He starts a conversation with them. But soon, after a while, Karen and Daisy burst out into a fit of laughter.
“What, what is it?” Eddie says, irriatated. Are they laughing at him? He hasn’t done anything embarrassing. Karen and Daisy don’t answer his question, they just continue to giggle.
“What’s funny?” Eddie restates himself. Now, he is just as much confused as he is annoyed. Did Billy tell them something? At this point, he was ready to leave and find somebody else to talk to. He was just about to walk away when Daisy grabs his hand.
“No, Eddie, wait,” She says between laughs, “We’ll tell you what’s funny.”
So, he turns backs around and crosses his arms. He could be doing much better things than being laughed at by two band mates. He looks around the room, impatiently waiting for their answer.
“Did you realize you have lipstick on your face, Eddie? Red lipstick?” Daisy says.
Oh.
That’s what they were laughing at.
“And it looks an awful lot like the one I got Y/n for her birthday.” Karen adds.
Karen Sirko (keyboardist): Oh my God! It was hilarious! Eddie comes out, and he has lipstick everywhere. His lips, his neck. And at first I was like, “Oh, good for him.” but then I realized that it was Y/n’s lipstick! The one i got her for her birthday, even. God, that was the highlight of my week.
Eddie reaches a hand up to his lips, and sure enough, deep, red lipstick residue is on his hands. The trail goes down his neck, too. He keeps trying to rub it off to the best of his ability. He laughs akwardly, looking down. Daisy senses the akwardness and tries to comfort him.
“Hey, i’m really happy for you guys. You two will be a great match, i’m sure.” She smiles, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
Eddie looks up, smiling back at her. “Would it be okay if you guys didn’t tell anybody for now? We aren’t ready to tell everyone yet.” He says.
Daisy Jones (vocals): Eddie and Y/n? They were adorable. You could just tell that he was in love with her. When he would play, the only person his eyes went to was Y/n. As for Y/n, she was the same. When he walked into the room, you could see her smile. If I wanted my future to be like anyone’s, It would probably be their’s.
Karen and Daisy both nod. Eddie felt really bad about them finding out. Y/n had asked him to keep it a secret and he was dumb and messed it up. But, hey, Warren already knows. So two more people shouldn’t be so bad? And Eddie trusts Karen. He wasn’t sure about Daisy yet, but Y/n seemed to love her. He’d have to tell Y/n soon.
Y/n L/n: I wasn’t mad at all. It was really my fault for not noticing the lipstick. I helped him wipe it off after that, and I have to admit, he looked really silly. I can’t believe he left the bathroom looking like that.

It was Julia’s first birthday. Camila had put together a celebration with balloons, banners, and an adorable little pink cake. It was all out together in their new house’s backyard. They had a housewarming party a while ago. It was one of the best parties you’d ever been too. Being surrounded by friends who loved you always made you feel better.
At Julia’s party, you and Eddie were playing with her. She had brought a couple Barbies outside and was acting out a scene with them. You and Eddie were doing it with her, going along with whatever she says. “We go swim!” Julia moves her Barbie over to a nearby puddle, grabbing both your hands and making you move yours over too. “Weeeeee!” Julia makes the Barbies jump up and down in the puddle. While they were jumping, she moves them around wildly in your direction and they splash your sundress.
“Woah! Julia!” You say, holding her hand to settle her down. “You got me all wet!” You joke, fake scolding. She giggles, apologizing, “I’m sorry Aunt Y/n!” You smile at her. How could you be mad at such a cute face? You grab Julia’s hand while standing up, and point in her dad’s direction. “It’s okay, Jules. Why don’t you go find your dad while I go clean up?” She follows your directions and runs over to her father, Billy.
You stand up, swiftly brushing the dirt and grime off your hands and dress.
“You’re really good with Julia, Y/n” Eddie says.
You smile widely at him, laughing happily. “You think so? I always imagined myself with kids when I was younger.”
“It just got me thinking. We could do that one day.” Eddie says, looking down at you fondly.
“Have kids?” You ask. It was true, you always thought you’d have a family. Two, even three kids. Maybe a dog, too. But that was all back in Pittsburgh. You weren’t sure if that life would fit into your life style now.
“Yeah. Big house, white picket fence. Some kids running around. Wouldn’t you like that, Y/n?” He says. You two were dangerously close, in the middle of Billy and Camila’s yard. Everyone you knew was there. But at the moment, it only felt you and Eddie were present. It was like the world closed in on you, and it was just him and you left. You liked the close, intimate feel. Even though you had been dating for around a year, you had never talked about your future outside of being in the band.
“Yeah, I think I would like that.” You say happily. You liked this side of Eddie. The warm, inviting side. You really were beginning to see a future with the blonde. The two of you stood, in the middle of the yard, just looking into each other’s eyes. Words didn’t need to be spoken. It was a silent “I love you”.
Eddie Roundtree: Yeah, I remember that day. She just looked so beautiful, playing with Jules. She was so kind, always was. You couldn’t help but love her. *smiles*
You are quickly snapped out of the moment by Camila calling to you.
“Hey, Y/n!” Camila says. She walks up to you and frowns. “I heard about your dress. I’m so sorry, i’ll talk to Jules after the party.” She apologizes.
“No, it’s okay. I’ll just wash it when I get home.” You respond. You look down at your blue sundress, taking a look at all the muddy spots. “I think i’ll go inside and try to find a washcloth. I’ll try to get some of the mud out.” You say. Camila nods.
“I’ll come with you!” She exclaims. You flash Eddie a sweet smile goodbye, and he winks in return. Eddie turns to go talk to Graham as you go inside with Camila. As soon as you shut the door, Camila starts to smile suspiciously.
“You and Eddie, hm?” She questions. You freeze, simply in shock. You were going to have to dig yourself out of a big hole. Plus, you were never good at lying, especially to Camila. It was like she could see through people. You always envied it about her.
“What do you mean, Cami?” You ask. You begin to make you way to the sink, avoiding her eyes.
“Don’t try to fool me. I see the way he looks at you, Y/n. It’s like you hung the stars and put the moon in the sky. He loves you.” Camila smiles. She digs through the drawers of her kitchen before handing you a white washcloth.
“I don’t,” You start. The question had totally caught you off guard. Was it love? Had you fallen in love with Eddie Roundtree? “I don’t know how he feels.” You stutter. Guess there is no hiding it now.
You begin to wet the washcloth, but your mind is anywhere besides this room. Is Camila right? You always knew you had something special with Eddie. But you’d never thought about it this much to be honest. With the baby conversation today and Camila’s conversation with you right now, you are seriously considering it. Things between you and the blonde wasn’t just hooking up anymore and it hasn’t been for a long time. It felt as if things were suddenly gettin for serious, and you were not going to say no to it.
“Well I think I know how you feel.” The girl says, poking you in the side. You laugh with her, moving your hip out of her reach. You shake your head in response, but the radiant smile on your face tells otherwise.
When you recover from the laughter fit, you begin to blot the muddy fabric of your dress with the cloth. Cami settles down as well. She peeks out the window and smiles, “Looks like everyone is about to sing happy birthday. I better go get the candles. Come out in a second, yeah?” She says. You nod, waving her goodbye.
Just before she is about to walk out the door, she turns around and teases, “Oh, and Eddie will be out there, too. You might want to hurry.” She winks at you mischievously before shutting the door and hurrying over to where Julia and Billy were.
Camila Dunne: Oh, Gosh, they were an amazing couple. I would’ve never known, but once I did, it just felt so obvious. They were perfect together, and I mean it. You could just tell by the way they looked at eachother. As soon as his eyes fell on Y/n, they turned into hearts. And vice versa.
Normally, you would be freaking out. You just gave away the secret of your realationship to yet another person. But right now you were on cloud 9. Eddie Roundtree might love you. And you might love him back.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
When Aurora was finally finished, the entire band was thrilled. Everyone had working together, and it turned out perfectly. You could feel it was about to be a big hit. The single, Look At Us Now, was already topping the charts. You had Daisy’s and Billy’s perfect vocal chemistry to thank for that.
Everybody was getting ready for the album cover shoot. It had been scheduled for weeks. After much bickering from Daisy and Billy, they decided on a desert shoot. The whole band was wearing tan, blue, and brown costumes, some more extravagant than others.
You and Eddie, though, had different plans. You snuck into his room late the night before. Everyone was staying in a hotel, as the photo shoot location was about 3 hours out of town and nobody wanted to drive that far so early. So, while everyone was getting ready, you and Eddie were lying in bed together, enjoying the solitude of the morning.
You were brushing stray hairs out of his face, to make sure you could see his beautiful eyes. Atleast you always thought they were beautiful. He was looking right back at you, with a dopey grin on his face. “I love you, Y/n.” He whispered. And you whispered it back.
After ten more minutes of this lovesick haze, you sat up, grabbing your watch that layed onnthe bedside table. Your face froze with shock.
“Shit, Shit, Shit! Eddie, it’s already 9:30. We were supposed to be down five minuetes ago!” With those words, the two of you flew out of bed, hurrily throwing on coats and blouses and brushing knotted hair from last night’s activities.
Meanwhile, downstairs, everyone was waiting on you two. Daisy, Karen, Warren, Camila, Billy, even Julia, all sat downstairs around a couple tables. They had finished breakfast a while ago, as it was now 9:45.
“Okay, where the fuck are they?” Billy said, tapping his foot. Karen and Daisy shared a look, Warren snickered, and Camila avoided his gaze. But Graham was clueless.
“I’ll go get them. I’m done eating anyway.” The younger Dunne brother said, hopping out of his seat next to Karen. He walks up to the elavator and steps inside, pressing the button of the band’s floor.
Meanwhile, you and Eddie were still frantically trying to get ready. You were applying a nude lipstick while Eddie buttoned up his shirt. You were no where near ready and you figured time was running out.
Suddenly, there is a knock on the door. You both freeze, making eye contact in the mirror.
“Probably just maintenance.” You reason.
“Yeah, just maintenance.” He agrees.
But you both quickly found out you were wrong when Graham’s voice sounded from the other side of the door. “Eddie, man, get up! You’re already thirty minutes late for photos.”
Oh, so it wasn’t maintenance. It was Graham. And Graham didn’t know. You and Eddie had started to consider telling everyone for good, but it had been so easy how it already was. You had settled into a routine of secrecy. It would just be so much harder to stop.
Graham knocks again, sounding impatient. You quickly pull out a curling iron to atleast get half your hair done while Eddie rushes to the door.
“Hey, just give me five more minutes.” He says before shutting the door in his face. Your boyfriend quickly rushes over to you in the bedroom, as you had given up on the hair curling idea after the front two pieces.
“What are we going to do, Ed?” you ask. He places a reassuring hand on your cheek, brushing a piece of hair away from your face.
“I’ll go out first. I’ll talk to Graham for a little before moving on downstairs. Then, he’ll go to your room next door and knock. You’ll slip out of here and try to walk a little ways down the hall so he doesn’t notice you came out of my room. Just pretend you were getting ice or something.” He says. You nod, trying hard to listen to exactly what he says.
When Eddie finishes speaking, you place a gentle kiss on his cheek. “For good luck.” you say. He smiles and embraces you quickly before heading for the door, motioning for you to hide on the other side of the room.
“Sorry about that Graham. Woke up late.” You can hear Eddie say from the other side of the wall. You press your ear up against the wallpaper trying to listen to more.
“I get it. I’m going to knock on Y/n’s door too. She must’ve overslept as well.” He pats Eddie on the shoulder before moving on to your door down the hall. You hear the steps of boots which you assume means he’s far enough away. You make your way to the door and open it very slowly. You manage to squeeze out of the half opened door. Now, you shut the door quietly before walking a little ways down the hall, like Eddie said.
“Hey, Y/n!” Graham calls out, and you stop in your tracks. “Where’d you come from?” He asks.
“I was just getting ice. Down the hall. At the ice machine.” You manages to sputter out. You’d never describe yourself as a nervous person, but right now, the nerves where like butterflies floating in your stomach, in your brain, and throughout your whole body. Graham furrows his brows at you, not very convinced by your efforts.
“I’m going to go ahead and get some breakfast.” You say quickly, speedwalking down the hallway. You thought you handled that pretty well.
Graham Dunne (Lead Guitar): She had come out of Eddie’s room. It was very obvious. Y/n was also always a terrible liar. I knew they were hooking up way before that ever even happened.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
Karen Sirko: I think everyone knew they were in a realationship by that point. Daisy and I had a bet on when they would tell us.
Daisy Jones: It eventually came out when we were on tour, so Karen won technically. But they were just so shit at keeping secrets we all figured out a long time ago.
Warren Rojas: I was actually best man at Eddie’s and Y/n’s wedding. It was probably the best wedding i’ve ever been to. But don’t tell Lisa that. *winks*

The bustling bar was a sanctuary of rhythm and revelry, a haven where music echoed through the air and laughter intertwined with the clinking of glasses. Its dimly lit interior exuded a vintage charm, with walls adorned by colorful posters of iconic bands from the era. The aroma of spirits and the familiar buzz of conversation enveloped the space, creating an ambiance that oozed with nostalgia and possibility.
Amidst the lively crowd, Eddie found himself drawn to the bar, its magnetic energy pulling him closer. His eyes fell upon you, the enchanting bartender who seemed to command the room with a flick of your wrist and a radiant smile. He approached the counter with a grin, eager to engage in their delightful banter.
"Hey there, stranger," You greeted him, a mischievous glimmer in her eyes. The word "stranger" was delivered with a playful lilt, a nickname that hinted at the connection they were about to forge.
Eddie leaned against the bar, his voice brimming with charm. "Well, if I'm a stranger, then let me be the one who gets to know you better."
You chuckled, your fingers gracefully maneuvering the cocktail shakers. "Oh, so you're a smooth talker, huh? We'll see about that."
As the night unfolded, Eddie and you engaged in a delightful dance of words amidst the ebb and flow of the bar's enchanting melodies. The clinking of ice against glass, the occasional burst of laughter, and the vibrant hum of conversation formed the backdrop to your blossoming connection.
Eddie would order a drink, taking in the eclectic playlist that filled the room with nostalgia. You, always attentive, would slip playful comments into your conversation, occasionally referring to him as "stranger" as a playful reminder of their initial encounter.
Over time, your flirty exchanges at the bar evolved into something deeper and more intimate. The magnetism between you and Eddie grew stronger with each passing day, drawing you both into a passionate liaison that extended beyond the confines of the club.
As the night grew darker and the bar closed its doors, you found solace in each other's company. Eddie's presence became a constant, a reassuring presence waiting for you after your shift ended. Together, you would slip away to secret hideaways, where the world faded into insignificance, and it was only the two of you.
In the hushed corners of hotel rooms or the hidden embrace of secluded spots, you explored the depths of desire and indulged in the pleasures of each other's company. It was a friends-with-benefits arrangement, an unspoken agreement that allowed you both to revel in the physical connection without the complications of a committed relationship.
The moments shared were passionate and intoxicating. The touch of his hands, the taste of his lips, the way his body melded with yours—each encounter was a symphony of sensations, a dance of unspoken longing and untamed passion. In those stolen moments, you found release and a refuge from the demands of the world.
But as the flames of desire burned brightly, so too did the risk of falling deeper. Moments of tenderness would slip through the cracks, fleeting glimpses of a connection that extended beyond the physical. It was in those stolen glances, in the whispered words of affection, that the lines between friendship and something more became blurred.
The arrangement of a friend with benefits relationship was both thrilling and bittersweet. It allowed you to explore your desires, to indulge in the heat of the moment, yet it left the door ajar for the possibility of yearning for more. Every encounter was an intoxicating blend of pleasure and the unspoken question of what might lie beyond the confines of your secret trysts.
Together, you walked a tightrope, balancing between the exhilaration of passion and the lingering desire for something deeper. The memories created in those hidden moments would forever be etched in your hearts, a testament to the connection shared and the complexities of navigating a relationship that blurred the boundaries of friendship and desire.
You and Eddie carried on with what you had, you preferred not to name something so good, you just lived and loved every moment, but the love of desire and fulfillment of it made you careless. You sat on the edge of gour worn-out couch, your hands trembling as you clutched the positive pregnancy test. Thoughts raced through your mind like a whirlwind, and a mix of fear and excitement coursed through your veins. You needed to share this life-altering news with Eddie, although the fear of his reaction filled your chest every second pass.
With shaky fingers, you dialed Eddie's number, your voice filled with urgency and vulnerability as you pleaded, "Eddie, please come over. There's something important I need to tell you."
Minutes later, Eddie arrived at your doorstep, his face etched with concern. As he entered the apartment, his eyes met yours, searching for answers. The air was heavy with tension, thick with the weight of the news about to be shared.
"You're scaring me, you called me by my name on the phone." Eddie chuckled until he took knowledge of your worried features. "Is everything alright?"
Your voice quivered as you handed him the pregnancy test, your fingers brushing against each other in an electric moment. "I just found out," you whispered, your voice barely above a whisper and your hands trembling. "I'm pregnant, Eddie."
Eddie's eyes widened, his breath catching in his throat. The room fell silent, the gravity of the situation sinking in. He stepped closer to you, his voice filled with a mix of awe and disbelief. "A baby?" he murmured, his eyes never leaving yours. "You're carrying our child?"
You nodded, tears glistening in your eyes. "Yes, Eddie. What the hell are we gonna do?"
Emotions cascaded over Eddie's face like a tidal wave. The initial shock gave way to a profound sense of responsibility and determination. He closed the distance between you, gently cupping your face in his hands. "Y/N, I know we didn't plan any of this, not at all, but I'm here to support you" he says, his voice filled with raw emotion. "And being honest with you, knowing that we have a child together, it brings me more comfort than having this baby with anyone else. Of course, if that's your choice... having the baby."
"I want to have the baby." You say crying and he hugs you closer, conveying comfort.
Tears spilled down your cheeks as you clung to Eddie's words, your heart swelling with a mix of gratitude and love. In that tender moment, they shared an unspoken understanding that this unexpected twist of fate was an opportunity for growth and a chance to explore the depths of their connection. And of course, you agreed to be your best selves for this child.
After hours of talking that morning, you decided that it would be better to cut off any romantic attitudes between you, for the sake of the baby it would be better not to confuse anything from now on.
With your hands entwined, you faced the unknown together, ready to embrace the journey of parenthood as a united front. Little did you know that this new chapter would not only reveal the strength of your love but also redefine your understanding of yourselves and the remarkable bond you shared.
You were feeling horrible, the nausea wouldn't leave you alone since last morning and your head ache as if a carnival float was giving a parade in it. Eddie was by your side all this time, helping you with everything you needed and if you were honest that messed with your feelings, you knew it was his duty as this baby's father, but the cold that grew in your stomach when he took care of you was inevitable.
You had your eyes closed but you couldn't sleep, you could hear Roundtree in the kitchen preparing something for you to have dinner and you decide to get up and go to him. You stop at the entrance to the kitchen, an involuntary smile spreads across your face when you see the way he was trying to understand the recipe.
You watched the clock on the wall pass the hours and your chest tightened at the thought of him leaving your place, his presence made you feel more relaxed about all of this. You involuntarily rest your hand on your belly that already showed your baby's development, you sigh loudly catching the bassist's attention.
"You alright there?" He asks, and you try to hold in a laugh when you see him in an apron. "Did our little bean let you rest?"
"Not actually." You smile weakly, approaching him. "Would you mind spending the night?"
Eddie's body freezes, he wonders several times if his ears had heard correctly, he turns to you analyzing every detail in your face for any sign of joke or humor, and when he doesn't find it he worries. "Are you that bad? Don't you want me to take you to the hospital?"
You roll your eyes and instantly give up making the invitation, maybe you had misunderstood what he felt. You leave the kitchen disappointed, "I'm going to my room."
Worried, Roundtree turned off the fire and made his way towards the bedroom, following the sound of your voice. As he entered the room, he found you lying on the bed, your eyes fixed on the ceiling, lost in your thoughts.
"I like it when you're here," you whispered, your voice filled with a mix of vulnerability and longing. Sensing his presence, you turned your head towards him, your eyes locking with his. Roundtree sat on the edge of the bed, his gaze attentive as he listened intently to your words.
"I want you to stay, but if you don't... It's okay, I understand," you continued, your voice tinged with a hint of sadness.
Roundtree's expression softened, his hand reaching out to gently stroke your leg. "You know I'll do anything to help you through the pregnancy," he reassured, his voice filled with genuine concern. "I'll stay with you."
Despite his words, an underlying sense of unease lingered on his face, his turmoil evident. He felt the weight of the situation, the frustration of not knowing how to improve things or make you feel better. "Look, I don't know what I did to upset you but–"
Before he could finish his sentence, you closed the distance between you, surprising him with an unexpected kiss. It was a passionate and spontaneous gesture, born out of the emotions swirling between you. Roundtree's initial surprise gave way to a reciprocated desire as he kissed you back, his lips meeting yours in a moment of shared vulnerability and longing.
In that instant, the worries and uncertainties melted away, replaced by the warmth of your connection. The kiss spoke volumes, expressing the depth of your feelings for each other, transcending the words that had gone unspoken.
"I want you to stay because of me." You say after the kiss, feeling his breath hitch on your face. "That's what I want, I want you."
"My precious…" He smiles, closing his eyes. "Are you sure?"
"I don't want you to just be my baby's daddy." You say frustrated, pulling away from him a little. "Stay with me..."
Eddie was holding back a smile, and you knew he wanted to make some joke of the situation, or of course, drop a line at you. "Just say it stranger."
"So you want me to be your daddy, uh?" The smirk that grew on his face made you let out a genuine laugh.
"You're ridiculous!" You exclaim pulling him down onto the bed. "Now cuddle with me."
Amidst the journey of pregnancy, you and Eddie found yourselves navigating uncharted emotional territory. The anticipation of becoming parents together brought a newfound awareness of your feelings, deepening your connection in unexpected ways.
As the months passed, you couldn't help but notice Eddie's increased affection and care towards you. He would accompany you to doctor's appointments, his hand resting protectively on your growing belly, his eyes filled with awe and wonder. The way he spoke to your unborn child, whispering words of love and promises of a bright future, touched your heart in ways you had never imagined.
One quiet morning, as the dawn cast a soft glow into the room, you and Eddie found yourselves sitting side by side on the edge of the bed. You placed Eddie's hand on your belly, feeling the gentle kicks and movements of your little one.
Eddie's voice was filled with tenderness as he addressed your unborn child. "Hey there, little one, they're kicking" he whispered the last part at you with a sparkle in his eyes and you can't help but smile, his voice carrying a mixture of awe and excitement. "You're growing stronger every day, and we can't wait to meet you. Your mom and I love you more than words can express."
You watched Eddie, your heart swelling with a mixture of joy and affection. "That's right, baby," you chimed in, your voice filled with warmth. "You're surrounded by so much love. We're here for you, every step of the way."
Suddenly, your baby let out a particularly enthusiastic kick, causing you to laugh. "Looks like our little kicker is ready for some action," you exclaimed, a playful gleam in your eyes.
Eddie chuckled, his hand still resting on your belly. "I think our future rockstar is already rehearsing for their first concert," he joked, his voice filled with amusement.
You playfully nudged Eddie's arm. "Well, just don't let Warren know about it cuz since I told him that the baby won't stop kicking, he's been to like twenty different stores looking for a mini drum set," you say, laughing as you remembered the drummers words.
Eddie feigned a hurt expression, placing a hand over his heart dramatically. "It's not like my child is going to play the drums, it's business will be string instruments, right little bean?" he retorted, kissing your belly, a twinkle in his eyes.
You both burst into laughter, your shared humor creating an atmosphere of joy and lightness. In that moment, you realized that amidst the seriousness of pregnancy and impending parenthood, there was room for laughter and playfulness.
As the first rays of sunlight peeked through the curtains, you and Eddie sat in laughter-filled silence, your hearts intertwined with the tiny heartbeat within your womb. The sunlight hits your naked body and your boyfriend admires you as if you are the most beautiful work in the world, you feel a flush on your cheeks and you look away.
"Are you embarrassed now, my precious?" He says laying closer to you, kissing your cheek. "After everything we did tonight?" He says with a sly look and you smack him on the arm, burying your face in the pillow.
"I need to sleep, the baby hasn't been quiet all night." You close your eyes pretending to sleep.
"Hey baby, let your mother sleep, daddy tired her today" Eddie whispers close to your navel, as if sharing a secret with your child.
You sit up with a serious look on your face, your face now hot with embarrassment. "Hey! Don't talk about these things with the baby."
"My bad my bad." He says after a series of laughs from you, pulling you closer to him. "Now come sleep in my arms, my precious." He kisses the top of your head and you feel safe and sound.
Inside the bustling recording studio, Daisy Jones and the Six poured their hearts into the music, unaware of the impending news. Eddie's fingers glided across the bass strings, his mind fully absorbed in the melodies.
Suddenly, Teddy Price, their producer, burst into the room, his face flushed with urgency.
"Eddie, I've got something important," Teddy called out, waving for them to stop playing.
Eddie takes off his headphones, waiting for the older man to tell him what was going on. "Y/N's waters broke. She's on her way to the hospital. It's time," he announced.
"What?!" Warren yelled, jumping from his drum set.
Everyone turns to Rojas with raised eyebrows, he was excited about the idea of being godfather from the beginning of your pregnancy. Eddie felt his heart pounding like a wild animal, it was time, he was going to meet his baby.
Desperate they go to Warren's van, the streets of LA were congested with people returning to their homes after a long day at work and Warren felt he was going to have a breakdown.
"¡Vete a la mierda, cabrón!" Rojas cursed yet another driver who passed in front of him, his hands were sweating and he was struggling to concentrate.
"Warren is already the second exit you missed." Billy says irritated, he saw Eddie desperate in the passenger seat. "Let's change places."
"It's not your goddaughter being born, I'm the one driving!" Warren speaks sullenly at the situation.
"First of all, we don't even know if it's a girl, second of all...Quit being reckless!" Billy gets up from the back of the van taking Warren's belt off.
"Do you want to kill me?" Rojas says as he feels the grip of the feeling released from him.
"Get out of there Warren!" Billy pulls the drummer to the back of the van as the vehicle stops at the light.
"Okay okay, but only because I wanted to!" He says switching places with the older Dunne, Eddie makes a face when he sees Rojas' ass on his face during this change of places.
Eddie stepped into the hospital, his heart pounding with a mix of anticipation and nervousness. The scent of antiseptic hung in the air, mingling with the faint aroma of flowers brought by well-wishers. The walls were adorned with faded paintings, remnants of an era gone by, while the sound of muffled voices and beeping machines created a symphony of activity.
He followed the signs that led him down a long corridor, his footsteps echoing against the tiled floor. The atmosphere was hushed, the occasional sound of a baby's cry punctuating the stillness. The soft hum of conversations between doctors and nurses drifted through the hallways, adding to the sense of purpose that permeated the space.
As Eddie approached the door to the labor and delivery ward, he paused for a moment, gathering his thoughts. The sound of his own heartbeat filled his ears, the weight of impending fatherhood settling upon his shoulders. He took a deep breath, finding solace in the knowledge that you were just beyond that door, bringing your child into the world.
Roundtree pushed open the door to the labor and delivery ward, and his eyes immediately fell upon you, lying in the hospital bed. Beads of perspiration dotted your forehead, evidence of the intense physical exertion you were going through. The room was filled with a symphony of sounds—the rhythmic beeping of monitors, the hushed whispers of medical staff, and your own deep, controlled breaths.
Your face was a canvas of mixed emotions, a cocktail of determination, pain, and anticipation. Your brows furrowed with each contraction, the waves of discomfort coursing through your body. The lines of your face tightened, and your grip on the bed rails tightened in response to the increasing intensity.
The air in the room seemed to hum with a sense of purpose and urgency. Nurses and doctors moved around you, their voices soft and comforting as they offered encouragement and monitored your progress. Their gentle touch and soothing words were like anchors, providing a sense of support in the midst of the storm.
As Eddie approached your bedside, his heart ached seeing you in this state. He took your hand in his, intertwining his fingers with yours, offering a steadying presence. He could feel the strength of your grip, a testament to your resilience and determination. His eyes never wavered from your face, his love and admiration shining through the concern etched on his features.
Each contraction rippled through your body like a storm, intensifying and then subsiding, leaving you breathless but resolute. The pain etched lines of raw vulnerability on your face, but there was also an undeniable beauty in the strength you displayed, the unwavering commitment to bring life into the world.
Amidst the physical sensations that consumed you, your eyes met Eddie's, finding solace in his presence. In that shared gaze, unspoken words passed between you, a silent acknowledgment of the journey you were on together. His touch and unwavering support were a lifeline, grounding you in the midst of the whirlwind of labor.
As the medical team continued to guide you through each contraction, their voices blending with the symphony of beeps and your own primal vocalizations, Eddie stood by your side, a pillar of unwavering support. He whispered words of encouragement, his voice a gentle melody amidst the chaos, reminding you of the strength within you.
In that labor and delivery room, time seemed to bend and sway, as if the world outside ceased to exist. The pain and intensity were all-consuming, but through it all, a glimmer of hope and anticipation shone in your eyes. Eddie, witnessing your strength and perseverance, knew in his heart that together you would weather this storm, emerging on the other side with a precious gift—a new life, their baby, a testament to the love you shared.
Amid the pain that fills your body like a devastating wave you hear your baby's cry and such a sound in your eardrums makes you cry too. The doctor announces the arrival of his daughter and Eddie smiles widely when he sees the crumpled face of the baby, Aurora Roundtree, his new reason to live was right there for just a fell second and changed everything for him.
"You did it, my precious.” He kisses the top of her head. “Our daughter is beautiful."
You didn't know what to expect, after all everything with your boyfriend's band was always beyond any kind of imagination and possibility. Although you took care of your newborn together with her father, you feared what the presence of your friends could bring.
"Warren is the last I tell you." You say into the phone, as Eddie naps your daughter. "If you bring weed over here, I'll rip you apart."
Eddie starts laughing softly, trying not to wake up little Aurora who was sleeping peacefully in his arms. When she finally falls asleep he puts her in her crib, then hugs you tenderly.
"Don't you miss some weed darling?" he asks in a playful tone and you pat his chest.
They didn't take long to arrive, Camila Billy and Julia were the first. The little toddler approaches you with a gift and hands it to you with a shy smile.
"Thank you Jules." You say bending down to pick up the package. "Do you want to see the little bean?"
The little one waves shyly, hiding behind her father's leg, you hold out your hand for her to lead her to her daughter's crib. Julia stands nearby admiring the baby curiously and you stand beside her while Billy, Camila and Eddie talk.
Some time later Daisy arrives with Karen, both with their proper gifts in hand, you thank them and introduce the little one to them and as time goes by you talk and eat the snack prepared by Eddie moments before they arrive.
When the sound goes down, you notice the delay of Graham and Warren and you get worried, both of them didn't answer the phone at the house in Laurel Canyon and that increased the anguish of not knowing where they are.
You hear the classic rumble of the van's old engine and it automatically quiets your heartbeats, but before it becomes a pattern you hear a loud noise followed by an "Ouch".
Interestingly, everyone leaves for the front door of the house, finding Warren with his hands on his toes, Graham scratching his head and a relatively large box with a sticker that says 'Fragile.'
"What the fuck is this Rojas?" You question while laughing at the situation.
Warren ignores the pain shooting up from his toes into his body, spreads his arms and points to the box with excitement. "Guess who found a mini drum set?"

Hi! I was wondering if you could write about Billy dunne, there isn't a lot about him. Him and the reader have known each other since they were kids but dont really interact much and Billy is so crazy about her but the reader hasn't ever considered romantic feelings for Billy. He wants to impress her and win her over bad. Basically follows what happens in canon except there is no cheating drama, its just drama between Billy and reader. I don't know how clear this is but thanks i appreciate it!
what's with my djats stories being so long?
sorry this took so long to get out, i started to lose motivation for it after i realized the idea in my head would make this WAY longer than it needed to be. sorry if the end is a little rushed 😭

It Was Always You
pittsburgh didn’t have much to offer anyone looking to explore the music scene. there were no big opportunities, and limited ways to get noticed. the six, formerly known as the dunne brothers, needed to move out of pittsburgh to somewhere they could make it. somewhere like california.
and you were the reason they got there.
you lived in the same neighborhood as billy and graham and went to school together, and you were the same age as graham. you and graham were friends, not great ones, but friends nonetheless. despite you being a friend of his brother, billy couldn’t help but keep a watchful eye over you.
even since you were in middle school, billy had some kind of adoration and fascination with you, and you barely knew of his existence. if you were taking a walk through the neighborhood, billy was at his window watching. you always knew it wasn’t in a creepy way, it felt different than that. you couldn’t tell what it was that made him watch you, but you felt flattered more than anything.
when you caught word of graham wanting to start a band with eddie, warren, chuck, and billy, you knew you wanted in. even though music was not your specialty, you could do other things.
during one of the band’s first rehearsals in billy and graham’s garage, you walked over to scope out the band. billy noticed you first, and his eyes widened a bit. graham noticed you shortly after.
“oh, hey Y/N.” graham started.
you smiled and waved. “hey graham,” you said, looking around at the rest of the boys. “and warren, eddie, chuck, and…” you said while giggling, trailing off when you got to billy. he looked at you like he was waiting for something important. “billy, right?”
you thought you saw him sigh of relief, but he covered it well. he smiled at you and reached out his hand. you took it, and noticed he held on for a few extra moments. “yeah, i’m billy dunne, graham’s brother. it’s good to meet you, Y/N.” after he released your hand, you noticed he never broke eye contact.
“what brings you here?” warren asked, taking a sip from his water.
“i actually had a question for you guys,” you said, suddenly getting nervous.
“let’s hear it,” billy told you.
you took a small breath. “i was, uh-i was wondering if you would consider letting me be apart of the band. i’m not musical in any way, so i don’t expect to be in the band, but i’d love to be apart of it some other way.”
the band stared at you, not in a threatening way, but like they were considering it. they couldn’t decide what to make of you.
“what, you want to be our groupie or roadie or somethin’?” eddie asked.
“actually, i was thinking manager.”
the group made surprised expressions. billy stepped forward to you. “why should we let you be our manager?”
“well, for one, i’m very organized. i can keep everything on track and on schedule with the band. i’m also very persuasive, and i could get you guys a lot of gigs for good money. and although i can’t play music, i know a lot about it. i’m also good at photography, and can get some good shots of you guys.”
the band once again considered you. you felt small under their glares, but the harshness was broken by billy’s smile. “you got the time for us?”
you smirked. “always.”
billy bit his lip. “welcome aboard.”
you smiled wide. you couldn’t believe they actually took a blind chance on you. you half expected them to turn you down.
“wait, aren’t we going to talk about this?” eddie asked.
billy annoyedly turned to eddie. “you guys put me in charge, so i call the shots, and i say she’s in." he paused, turning to warren. "warren, count us in,” billy said as warren began counting. billy sent you a wink as they played, and you noticed eddie rolling his eyes.
you grew closer with everyone in the band. graham quickly became your go to guy, and you became best friends. warren was like your annoying brother that you constantly got fed up with but loved regardless. eddie acted like he didn’t like you as the band’s manager, but you were always the first one to call if he needed help with anything. you never really grew close with chuck, but you tolerated him and he tolerated you. your relationship with chuck didn’t matter much, since he left the band early.
billy, however, felt different. you could tell something was off about him. you rarely talked, but it always seemed like billy had something to say to you that he never let out. it always felt like he was hesitating around you, and he wanted to make sure you were watching him during your performances. it was clear to everyone in the band that you had some sort of hold on him.
over the next few years in pittsburgh, you lined up gigs at proms, weddings, and graduation parties for the band. you adored what you did. you got the thrill of watching your friends perform and the crowd cheering without the stress of playing. also, you felt like you were good at what you did. you always knew how to be timely, organized, and respectful, all qualities which made you fit to be their manager. you also used your photography skills to take up close photos and videos of the band performing and practicing, which you would later use to advertise for the band.
after chuck broke the news to the band that he would be leaving, he went back into his house, leaving your disheveled band down a member.
you could tell billy was thinking hard. with his brown furrowed, eyes pointed to the ground, the rest of the band waited for his direction. then, out of nowhere, he grabbed your wrist and took you out of earshot from the boys.
“billy, what’s this about?” you said, keeping your voice low. you knew there was a reason billy pulled you and no one else aside.
“i need your help. i don’t know what to do,” he said, avoiding eye contact.
“why’d you need my help? i mean, you have graham, you own brother. i’m sure he’d know-”
billy looked up into your eyes sharply, and you immediately stopped talking. “i trust your opinion more than anyone else’s, Y/N.”
you nodded. you glanced at the band, who was clearly trying not to watch the sight unfolding in front of them. when you looked at them, they turned away quickly.
“eddie’s gonna hate us, but i think he should switch to bass,” you suggested.
billy slightly smiled. “you think?”
you nodded. “yeah, you just need to stay focused on being a great leader for this band. i wouldn’t want you straining trying to figure out bass while also trying to be a kick ass front man.”
billy blushed and bit his lip to suppress a smile, then patted your shoulder. “you’re too nice to me.”
you both walked back to the band, who was anxiously awaiting the solution to their problem. when billy broke the news, eddie scoffed, bluntly saying, “no, absolutely not."
“which one of you came up with that idea?” eddie continued. it seemed like one wrong move could completely set him off.
billy stepped up. “it was me. i-”
the band was only beginning. you couldn’t let their relationships already fall apart before the band even gets big. you knew billy was trying to take the blame for you, but it wasn’t necessary.
“it was me.”
his eyes softened at you. he seemed almost offended that you gave up his role as rhythm guitarist, but since it was you, he knew he couldn’t blow up at you. you were too beloved by the band.
eddie rolled his eyes. “for how long?”
you and billy looked at each other smiling. “we owe you one, eddie.”
*
not long after eddie switched to bass, you were opening for the winters. as you watched the winters perform on stage, you noticed graham eyeing the blonde keyboardist singing harmonies.
you nudged his side. “make a move.”
graham looked down at you before looking back at her. “i-what do i say?”
you shrugged. “i don’t know, compliment her music or something,” you paused. “make small talk. she’s cute, graham, you can do this.”
you smiled at him before walking away to talk to eddie. however, you felt a pair of eyes burning into your side, and without looking, you could tell billy was the culprit.
after the winters’ set, you caught the keyboardist shortly after she got off stage. you introduced yourself as the manager of the dunne brothers.
karen smiled at you, introducing herself before walking away. before she could, you decided to help graham out a bit.
“graham dunne, the guitarist of our band, really liked your sound.”
she turned around to look at you. “yeah, we’re good at what we do.”
you amusedly grinned. “he didn’t just like the band’s sound, he liked yours. you should go talk to him,” you said before winking and walking away.
not long later, as you were helping the band set up, graham came up behind you. “Y/N, we talked.”
you looked over your shoulder and saw him grinning from ear to ear. you couldn’t help but laugh to yourself, and you turned around. “earlier, i may have… told karen that you liked what she did on stage. i don’t want to take all the credit for your interaction with her, but,” you said, pausing slightly. “i definitely contributed.”
graham’s jaw fell slightly, and he began laughing. before you knew it, he picked you up in his arms and gave you a big hug. you giggled and wrapped your arms around his neck as graham thanked you, and your eyes drifted outwards where you saw billy’s eyes staying locked on your hug with his brother.
after their set, you billy caught up to you backstage. “hey, Y/N,” he started. you could tell he sounded a bit nervous.
you turned around to meet him. “billy, what’s up?”
he looked around to make sure the rest of the band wasn’t near. “so, you and graham?” billy asked. he sounded apprehensive, and almost stern. he looked everywhere but at you.
you squinted. “what do you mean?”
billy shook his head. “i saw that hug earlier. and not just that, y-you’ve been with him a lot. which, i don’t really mind, i just want to know. i don’t want the band to be ruined by this.”
you stared back at him, and all you could do was start laughing. he looked at you, a bit dumbfounded. “what’s so funny?”
“you, billy. you’re funny,” you said, walking closer to him. you watched as his cheeks grew red. “there’s nothing going on between graham and i, seriously. he’s like a brother to me, i wouldn’t dream of looking at him romantically. besides, he has another lady in mind.”
billy looked down at you, wanting to believe you. “okay, i get it,” he said with a slight smile.
you lightly placed a hand on his chest. “i wouldn’t dream of ruining this band,” you said before walking away. you couldn’t see the giddy smile creep onto billy’s face.
*
from that point on, billy’s mood around you seemed to lighten. he always had a way of making you notice him. you began to get the vibe that this was all on purpose, that he wanted you to compliment him or give him attention. you wondered if he ever looked at you romantically. sometimes, billy’s odd behavior around you could only be excused if he was interested in you. you couldn’t decide if you were interested in him, but you didn’t want to be involved with a member of the band. things could get too messy.
after meeting rod after the night opening for the winters, the band made the decision to move out to california.
you loved the band, and would do anything for them. but, moving out to los angeles on a whim was risky. you knew they could go the distance, but you were being expected to leave your entire life behind to start a new one. besides, with the new move, they needed you to be an even more present manager than you already were. sure, you could handle managing an up and coming band from pittsburgh. but you felt less than qualified for the job of a big time manager of a growing rock and roll band on the infamous los angeles music scene. someone else could do better and take them farther, and they deserved it.
one day, shortly before they left, you expressed your thoughts to the band. you sat on the floor in billy and graham’s garage as the band stood by their instruments.
“guys, i don’t know if i’m coming with you to california just yet,” you said quietly, looking down at your hands. you could feel the glares of the boys burning into your body.
“what?” graham asked.
you stayed quiet, and heard shuffling footsteps come closer to you. a tear fell from your eye, and you tried your best to hide it. “i-i have to leave my life, my family. which, i can do it, but what’s the point?” you looked up to find the band hovering over you, concerned. “i don’t know the ins and outs of music there like i do here. i’m afraid i won’t be able to take you guys all the way.”
billy stepped closed, and bent down to meet you gaze. you noticed that he still seemed to tower over you, despite him meeting you on the ground.
“Y/N, don’t think for one second that we don’t need you,” billy said. “you’re the only one we can see doing this for us.”
graham bent down next to billy. “you’re like our sister, and you’ve done so much to help us grow. you can keep doing this. we all know you can.”
staying standing, warren nodded at you. “we can’t do this without you. don’t quit on us now.”
even eddie agreed. “you make us better, Y/N.”
billy took your hand in his as another tear escaped your eye. “what do you say?”
you couldn’t leave these guys. even if you were the reason they failed in the future, at least you failed with them. they were your family.
you smiled to yourself. “okay, you’ve convinced me.”
billy smiled, and with the hand that still held onto your fingers, he pulled you into his arms, wrapping you in a hug. you were taken aback by this change of character, as he very rarely showed affection like this to anyone. you hugged back, leaning your head on his shoulder.
before you knew it, warren wrapped his arms around the side of you, then graham joined the party. finally, eddie did too. for a few moments, you all stayed in that position, with you in the middle of the group hug. that was when you knew this was where you were meant to be.
a few days later, your belongings were packed and loaded as you climbed into the back of the warm, cozy van while the rain poured outside.
“look who it is!” warren exclaimed as you sat down. eddie stood outside packing the luggage onto the top of the van.
billy smiled widely at you. “i’m glad you’re coming.”
you blushed at his sincerity against your will. “me too.”
the road to california was long, but the building excitement in that van was infectious. everyone knew something big was coming.
upon arriving in los angeles, the band contacted rod reyes and built their first connection in the music world. with rod’s help, he gave you the number to contact filthy mcnasty’s on the strip and gave you another piece of information; karen’s phone number.
“graham, i have a surprise for you,” you said excitedly, dragging out the “you”.
“what?” he asked, confused.
you smiled. “i got karen’s number.”
*
not long later, you moved into a shabby house with the band in laurel canyon, and recruited karen sirko to be the new keyboardist for the dunne brothers. along with the new edition came a new venue to play in on the strip.
there, you saw billy really begin to fall in love with his music and performing. the way he interacted with the audience, and with you, was electrifying. you found yourself getting flustered if he sang to you while onstage, and you questioned why you felt so strongly. you didn’t have feelings for him, at least you thought. the butterflies in your stomach as he looked at you while singing on stage were trying to tell you something different.
one day, after billy came home with the legendary teddy price’s business card, you had sealed a deal to play for him, and the energy was beyond exciting. they played for him as you watched, and you kept getting those butterflies in your stomach as billy performed. they were getting harder and harder to ignore.
after teddy named the audition a success, the pure joy in the van afterwards was infectious. as the band drove away, you and the band were giddily laughing and hugging like children. billy was the first one you hugged.
you wrapped your arms around his neck first, and you could feel him get caught off guard for a moment, but he soon reciprocated. your heart felt like it was going to pop out of your chest.
“i’m so proud of you!” you said to billy as he squeezed you tighter. you pulled away from each other, faces red and smiling. your arms lingered on each other, not fully pulling away.
“we couldn’t have done it without you, Y/N,” billy said over the commotion.
one night, after a gig at filthy’s months later, the band finished playing and walked out onto the strip. you saw billy and teddy talking, and when you walked over to them, you heard the words you’ve been waiting to hear forever.
“if the label agrees, we’ll get you in the recording studio.”
billy stepped back, shocked. he looked at you, then back at teddy. “shut up.”
teddy shrugged. “it wasn’t all me. Y/N has been on my case about this deal for a while now. if it weren’t for her, this might not be happening.” that was true, the past few months was a pain trying to get teddy to budge on a deal.
billy looked at you. he had the widest smile you had ever seen, and in that moment, you thought you’d never seen anyone more handsome. he wrapped you in a hug, picking you up from the ground and spinning you as you giggled. you didn’t even care that he was drenched in sweat.
he put you down and tried to go hug teddy. he turned to the band, who was confused at the commotion. “guys, we’ve got an album!”
the boys jumped up, running to you and teddy, enveloping you both in a sea of hugs. teddy wasn’t as fond of hugs as you were, but you welcomed them sweat and all with open arms.
*
billy had always considered you vital in the band, but during the first album sessions, you were involved more than ever before in creative decisions. billy was running the show, but he trusted your opinion just as much, if not more, than teddy’s. given that billy wanted you involved in the music just as anyone else, it made your interactions much more intimate. you found yourself spending a lot of alone time with billy.
one night at the house after a long day in the studio, you and billy sat outside and drank some beers. your chairs were facing in, and it took some effort to not longingly stare at him.
“how do you like it so far? i mean, the album?” billy asked you nervously, looking down.
you smiled to yourself and bit your lip. “you’ve been wanting my approval more and more recently. what’s that about?” you asked, leaning back in your chair. “you’ve always been looking for my validation, but i never thought much about it until now.”
billy took a deep breath in. he looked like he was contemplating something, and he took a sip of his beer before looking at you again. “do i really have to say it?”
you furrowed your eyebrows slightly. prompting billy to start, he closed his eyes before talking again. “Y/N, i think i may be in love with you.”
your heart seemed to fall into your chest. you’ve had suspicions for a long time now, but you had always assumed you were looking too far into it. you thought that was just his personality. until recently, you had never even considered him romantically. it wasn’t until he really starting honing in on his craft that you saw a side of him that you could potentially like.
“billy dunne in love with me?” you asked playfully. you couldn’t believe it.
“i know you don’t feel the same, and i’ve accepted that. maybe it’s the alcohol talking, but i’ve been pining over you for as long as i can remember. i value your opinion because your ideas and thoughts are the only ones that truly matter to me.”
the heart beat in your chest sped up. you felt your face grow red and you hoped billy couldn’t see how absolutely flustered you were. you took a sip of your beer.
billy then waved his hand like he was brushing his thoughts away. “forget it, this was all stupid. i shouldn’t have said that, i’m sorry.”
your eyes softened as billy looked away, embarrassed. you scooted forward, gently placing a hand on his knee. “billy,” you started. he reluctantly turned to face you. “i want to explore where this could go.”
he smiled at you, a wide and endearing smile that made you immediately grin back. “i’ve waited a long time to hear that.”
after that night, it didn’t take long for you and billy to become inseparable. the band eventually caught on to what was going on, no one had to explain your feelings to anyone; everyone seemed to know. the often caught you making out in secret in random places in the studio.
after recording the album, it was time to go on tour. you and billy started dating after the first show on tour, and you were truly happy for the time being.
however, a lot of that initial glee faded as the tour continued, as the band was heavily using drugs and alcohol to escape the pressures of the tour. billy seemed to take it especially hard. most nights, he would do a line of coke right on stage and finish the show by washing everything down with alcohol.
“billy, don’t you think you should… slow down a little?” you asked gently once you were back in your hotel room. billy was opening another bag of coke.
he looked at you. “this is rock and roll, Y/N.”
you sighed. you were worried for him, everyone was. “you’re not yourself, billy. this isn’t the billy that i know,” you said, your tone getting harsher. when he looked away back to his bag of coke, you walked over to him.
“look at me,” you said, standing in front of him between him and the coke. he obliged, and blankly stared back at you.
it hurt you to see him like this. he was falling apart at the seams. “don’t fucking blame this on rock and roll. you’re addicted, billy. you have a problem. you better clean up your goddamn act soon or i-” you stopped, your voice cracking. tears were forming in your eyes. “or i can’t be with you any longer.”
billy blinked, almost unfazed. after a few moments, he nodded.
you looked up at him and shook your head. “clean yourself up.”
after that night, billy tried to cut back, but he always found his way back to the drugs and the alcohol. for a while, it was okay. he only did a line before a show and kept his alcohol for after the show. you still didn’t like his heavy consumption, but at least he was making an effort for you and your relationship.
then, just as it was getting better, it got worse again. he was fully addicted now, and was stumbling all over the stage. he couldn’t hold notes in the songs, and the band looked between themselves, confused.
“Y/N, what are we going to do with him? karen asked after a show, leaning into your ear as you watched billy open a bottle of vodka. you stared as tears fell down your face.
“there’s only one thing to do.”
you forced billy into your car, giving the band members hugs before you drove off.
“w-where are we going?” billy asked, dazed.
a tear drop fell on your leg as you drove, and billy’s eyebrows furrowed.
“you know where,” you whispered.
“Y/N, i’m sorry.”
“i know you are," you replied numbly.
you heard billy sniffle, like he was also crying. you couldn’t bring yourself to look at him. “i can’t live without you. you’re all i ever wanted, and now i’ve thrown it all away.”
you bit your lip as you suppressed your tears. “i know.”
you pulled up to the rehabilitation center, and got out of the car with billy. you stood in front of him, close to him. he looked down at you with melancholy, and you looked up at him.
“take care of yourself, okay?”
he nodded. “i-i’m sorry, Y/N.”
you nodded as the tears fell harder. you were leaving behind one of the greatest things that has ever happened to you.
you turned away before you could hesitate and headed back to your car as you watched billy enter the front doors of the center. when he was out of sight, you broke down, releasing the sobs that were hiding in your body.
*
the rest of the tour was cancelled, and back at laurel canyon, the band wasn’t sure where their future stood. not having billy around had left a hole in the group, and you fell into a pit of depression not having him around. the band tried their best to cheer you up. whether it be graham offering to play games with you, or warren buying you useless knickknacks, or even just crying on karen’s shoulder, you appreciated their efforts but you couldn’t seem to get billy off your mind.
when you got the call two months later that billy was coming home, you felt excited and scared all at the same time. you were looking forward to having him back, you needed him. but confronting everything that had happened seemed too overwhelming.
graham brought him back to the house, and he got out of the car to greet the band. warren showed him his mustache he had been growing, and eddie showed billy his bass he had built. karen squeezed your hand before going up to billy and hugging him.
you stood behind the rest of them, afraid to make an appearance. billy was trying to look for you, and when warren noticed, he stepped away so you were visible to billy.
you could tell billy was feeling the same as you were. you watched as guilt flashed across his face, then nervousness, then eventually, relief.
you stepped forward at the same time, and he wrapped you in an endearing hug. it felt nice to be in his arms again.
“i’m never letting you go again,” billy said into your hair. “i’m staying clean for you.”
you pulled away so you could look at him, your arms still loosely around each other. “you get one more chance, dunne. one more slip up and whatever this is is over.”
after settling into normalcy again, you felt like you were getting to know billy all over again. you were rediscovering why you began to like him in the first place. you missed him.
not long later, you watched as graham angrily stormed out of the room with billy in it. you frowned and peered into the doorframe, finding billy with his head down.
“what’s wrong?” you asked, sitting down next to him. you placed a hand on his thigh, and he stared at it.
“i’m quitting the band, Y/N,” he said quietly.
your jaw fell slightly. “what?”
billy scooted away from you. you could tell he was emotional right now, and was pushing you away not because he didn’t want you there, but because he didn’t know what else to do.
“i love music, but i can’t keep doing this. there’s too much temptation, and i can’t go through that again. i can’t lose you again.”
you softened. billy was willing to do anything for you, but this was one act of selflessness that you couldn’t let him get away with.
“billy,” you started. “you’re the strongest person i know. i trust you. i’m not going to let you quit on this band because of me, you’re just getting started. please, at least think about staying. i won’t be able to do this without you.”
he continued looking down. he paused, and you could tell his hard exterior was crumbling around you. “i’ll think about it.”
and he did. only a few days later, he came to the band with a new song in a new direction that he was ready to get recorded. it was a beautiful song that he called honeycomb, and when he first played it for you, you had some thoughts.
“it’s good,” you said, nodding your head as you sat down on the couch next to billy.
“but…” billy asked, sensing your hesitation.
“it’s missing something.”
billy squinted, a devious smirk forming on his face. “like what exactly?”
“i don’t know, it just sounds too… hopeful, maybe?” you said.
billy looked at you with genuine confusion. “what’s wrong with having hope?”
“nothing, nothing at all, it’s just-” you paused. “no one wants to hear a song about hope. people like to hear things that are messy, and dark, and imperfect.”
billy rolled his eyes and kissed your cheek. “Y/N, you know i love your opinions, but i think you’re wrong about that one.”
you giggled. “i can guarantee teddy will tell you the same thing when you get it recorded.”
“is that a bet?”
you smiled. “hell yes it is.”
then you shook on it, and as it was, you ended up being right. in the studio, teddy told billy it was a good song, not a great one, and you and teddy had a new artist come in to sing vocals on the track named daisy jones.
billy was less than welcoming at daisy’s arrival, and they clashed over everything. billy wasn’t informed that daisy had changed his lyrics, and he stormed out of the studio, taking you with him by the wrist.
“billy, what the hell?” you said as you stumbled behind him, finally coming to a stop when you were outside.
“i can’t fucking believe this, Y/N, you and teddy are ruining my song by adding daisy. it’s not supposed to be a duet, and it’s suppose to be about hope,” billy said harshly.
“daisy adds more layers to that song whether you like it or not. she makes it better, and it gives the song a story.”
“no, she’s not. i wrote a beautiful song, and it’s being taken over.”
billy was frowning, and you stepped forward so you were right under him. at this point, you were frustrated too.
“stop being so fucking stubborn, billy. your ego is getting in the way for the success of this song. we’ll record it daisy’s way, and then we’ll record it your way, okay? we can decide which one sounds better later.”
billy paused, and looked down at you. you could see his harsh eyes soften a bit, and then he nodded his head.
you never did record it his way.
with look at us now came a rush in popularity and invitations to perform at festivals. at the diamond head festival, you saw for yourself the magic on stage that was billy and daisy together. daisy wasn’t a want, she was a need. that is, until billy made a particularly snide remark about daisy to the news following their performance.
“billy, are you crazy?” you asked when you had a private moment after the interview.
billy seemed confused. “what are you talking about?”
“billy!” you exclaimed. “you could have been a little nicer to daisy in that interview.”
billy looked at you, shocked. “i was! i couldn’t have been nicer! seriously Y/N, what’s the big-”
“the big deal is that daisy makes you better. she makes all of you better. you didn’t even give her any credit for the song.”
billy stepped closer to you. “it was my song.”
“daisy wrote the part that everyone remembers.”
billy paused. “she will ruin us.”
you shrugged. “you’ll never know until you try.”
for a while after that festival, things went back to normal, but you knew your work with daisy wasn’t done. you and billy were throwing a house party, and you invited daisy to try and work out the bad blood between the two. getting them to work together was not an easy task, but by the end of the night, they found common ground. it didn’t take long for daisy to be formally invited into the band.
you noticed daisy and billy continued to be unwilling to work together, despite all your efforts. finally, teddy sent billy and daisy away to write material together, and the pair didn't come back until the night time.
as the band recorded let me down easy, you could tell something special was building. as billy sang into the microphone, you hoped he would catch your eye so you could give him a proud smile, but his eyes stayed locked on daisy. you didn't think much of it at this point.
billy and daisy found their groove, and the two would walk into the studio after a day of writing laughing and giggling like children. you remembered when billy would do that with you. now, it seemed like a distant memory.
"karen, can i ask you something?" you asked karen once when you were the only two in the lobby of the studio.
"anything," she replied, putting out her cigarette.
"do you think something is off will billy? like, with me?" you asked sheepishly.
karen frowned. "what do you mean?"
you looked down. "he hasn't been the same since daisy has been in the picture. i rarely see him anymore, and when i do, he's not all there," you said. "and i felt so involved in the last album. i was involved in all of billy's decisions, and now it's daisy. should i be worried about..." you trailed off. "you know?"
karen looked at you, her eyes softening at your worried expression. "i know what you mean. billy's a great guy, Y/N, and i think you can trust him. if you're worried, i would talk to him sooner rather than later."
you nodded. "i'll see if it gets any worse, and if it does, i'll talk to him."
you hated that things were getting worse between the two of them. you could tell he was hiding something, and a part of you always knew that those two had some type of connection. they had to, for the sake of the music.
you tried to trust them and let him run off with daisy, knowing that they made each other better. but you knew he wasn't telling you something.
you didn't realize how far along their connection was until daisy and billy stormed out of the studio while recording more fun to miss.
you followed them out, a few paces behind them, to make sure everything was okay. as soon as you stepped out onto the pavement, you watched as daisy yelled something at billy, close to his face. then, you watched as billy pulled daisy closer, leaving a kiss on her lips.
you gasped, and the two immediately broke and turned to look at you. billy went as pale as a ghost, and you stood horrified.
"Y/N, this isn't-" billy started, walking closer to you.
you put up a hand, stopping him in his tracks. "don't."
billy paused. "daisy, can we get some privacy?" he asked sternly before daisy hurriedly made her way inside.
"can i explain?" billy asked quietly.
a tear ran down your face. "what is there to explain? i know what i just saw."
billy nodded understandingly. "i know, i know what this looks like, and i'm sorry. but truthfully, there's absolutely nothing going on between us."
you laughed. "you call that nothing?" you asked, raising your voice. "you kissed her, billy! and god knows what else you've been doing behind my back all this time. there's a reason you came out here to do this, so i wouldn't find out."
billy put his hands on your shoulders. "there's nothing of substance between us. this is all an act, we're building our connection so fans can see it and believe it onstage. that's what the fans want. please believe me, there's nothing between us. there never was, and there never will be."
you shook your head, tears streaming down your face harder. "and you expect me to believe that?" you asked quietly, walking away into the studio.
you had locked yourself in a storage closet for some privacy, and you could tell the band, minus billy and daisy, was looking for you around the studio. you sat on the floor crying, thinking about all the times billy left you to be with her.
you felt so stupid for letting this happen. you should have known something was off. you couldn't believe what billy did, but you couldn't believe that you fell for him the way you did. this should have been expected.
suddenly, you heard a faint voice from outside the door, down the hallway. "daisy, we need to talk."
footsteps. "don't tell me what i think you're going to tell me," she replied.
"we were a mistake. we never had anything, and we never will."
a pause. "you're a big fucking liar, you know that?" daisy asked him.
"Y/N is the one i love. she's the one i will choose every time."
"so that kiss just now meant nothing?" daisy asked, getting angrier. "you did that just so i'd sing like that on the album?"
"i did what i had to do," billy said, matching her tone. "this is all an act, for the music. we had to build chemistry so the fans will believe it. none of this is real." there was a pause before billy spoke again. "i refuse to lose Y/N. not again."
there was another long pause, before a loud "fuck you" and the sound of daisy's heels walking out of the studio doors.
your heart was beating fast after hearing that exchange. you wanted to trust the man that you had grown to love again.
you quietly unlocked the door, stepping out and finding billy down the hall. he looked at you and his harsh features softened when he saw your tear stained face. "hey, i've been looking all over for you," he said sweetly.
you stood in front of him, and he put his hands on the sides of your face, forcing you to look him in the eyes.
"i'm so sorry, Y/N. for all of this. temptation got the best of me, and i lost sight of what i wanted and needed. you're it for me, and you always have been. even before you knew i existed, i knew i wanted you and no one else."
you rested your forehead on his, briefly staying quiet. "never do anything like this ever again, okay asshole?"
billy smiled. "you have my word."
you kissed him, and it made you forget everything that had just happened. you could tell that he truly meant what he said to you through a single, meaningful kiss.
he made all of your worries dissipate in an instant.

the way i loved you || eddie roundtree x reader
Tumblr media
tw : kissing, making out, profanity.
synopsis : jealousy isn't the best between eddie and you...
words : 932
Interviewer : Do you miss anything?
Y/N : Yeah. I do miss screaming and fighting and kissing in the rain.
Camila invited all of us over for her house party. The rain had cleared away as I sat in my taxi, giving me the perfect opportunity to run across the street without getting soaked.
The party was packed. People jammed in the house or outside in the backyard.
I looked around, desperately trying to find someone I recognized. I could only look for so long before a body was thrown on me and brown hair covered my vision.
“I’m so glad you made it, Y/N!” I could instantly recognize it as Camila.
“I’m so glad to see you, where are the others?” I asked as she was being pulled away by a mob of people.
“They might be outside. At least that’s where I saw Eddie and Graham last!” She yelled over the loud music as she was pulled with everyone.
I made my way outside as I saw the group of boys all huddled together. Except it was only Eddie and Warren.
“Y/N!” Warren exclaimed as he ran up to me, engulfing me in a hug.
I hugged him back, “Where’s Karen?”
Eddie sighed, “Her and Graham went off somewhere.”
I knew what was going on between Graham and Karen. They both liked each other, and they were terrible at hiding it.
The night went by and groupies came and left. They flirted with Eddie and Warren as I attempted to keep my eyes away from Eddie. It wasn’t a secret that I liked Eddie. I’m guessing most people knew, but it made me even more jealous the way he’d look at the girls that would sit on his lap.
I don’t even know how or why I started liking Eddie, I just did. He attracted me. I’d get butterflies if he’d touch my hand while trying to teach me with the guitar, or when he touched my waist when he would move around in the kitchen.
I sighed loudly before getting up and walking over to grab a drink. Everyone was with someone else as they danced and partied.
“Hey, you’re Y/N L/N, right?” A man’s voice said as he brought me out of my gaze.
I looked over to him, seeing a quite attractive man. I smiled, “Yes, that’s me.” The two of us continued eye contact.
The man grew flustered at my smile, “I’m sorry, I've heard a lot about you, and I’ve seen you in newspapers, wow.” He stammered.
The next hour went by in a blur. We madeout and that was that. I mean, it was a lot. I didn’t fully think of my decisions, do I regret them though? No, of course not.
After he had left (his name was Thomas), I went to the restroom, fixing myself up. My lipstick was smeared and my hair was a wreck. I didn’t get banged, but it looked like I did.
I took off the lipstick and patted water on my head, trying my best to look as presentable as I could.
The boys sat inside now, in the dark after the power had gone out. There were candles that were lit and blankets being handed out.
“Woo! Where have you been, girly?” Warren asked as he watched me walk down the stairs towards the couch. It was obvious something had happened, especially if my lipstick was off. Warren raised an eyebrow and smirked in response, which I rolled my eyes to.
“Nothing.” I said, flashing him a smile.
I looked over to Eddie who didn’t say anything, he just looked at me with disgust, he too rolled his eyes. I watched as he got up abruptly, bumping into people as he made his way out of the house
Warren sighed, “You should follow after him.”
The rain was pouring down hard. Harder than what I expected for LA. I could barely see Eddie’s figure in the rain, he seemed to be walking fast.
“Eddie!” I yelled over the rain. “Eddie!” I yelled again, running to catch up with him.
He turned to me angrily as we were inches apart. “What, Y/N? What now?”
“What has gotten into you? Why are you all of a sudden so mad at me?” I questioned as he held clumps of hair on his head.
“Nothing, Y/N! Nothing. Nothing is wrong because nothing happened.” He yelled.
By now, the rain had drenched both of us, and I shivered from the cold.
“If it’s nothing then don’t act like a dick.” I said to the brunette.
He only sighed loudly, “Fine, maybe it’s because you made out with that guy! Okay? You don’t understand.”
I scoffed at his response “You’ve made out with a million groupies and I don’t do shit about it. Eddie for fucks sake I’ve liked you for so long. You’re the one that doesn’t understand.”
I couldn’t deal with him anymore, so I decided to walk away from him.
I felt Eddie grasp onto my wrist as he brought me back to him, his hands had found their way to my cheeks as he desperately kissed me. I sunk into the kiss as the rain poured down on us. It was peaceful, no fighting and just us.
I pulled away slowly, allowing myself to breathe.
“You don’t know how long I’ve been waiting to do that.” Eddie said as he touched our foreheads.
I laughed quietly, “You don’t know how long I’ve been waiting for you to do something.”
Eddie : She misses me?

Hey, love your work :) Maybe you could write something for Eddie along the lines of him having a crush on the reader, but thinking the reader and Graham are in a relationship bc they are so close, but the reader also has a huge crush on Eddie and they have some sort of fight or talk, where they realise they both have a crush on each other :)

a/n: yesyesyes! Thank you so much by the way, I try :,). I've never written something like this before, so give me a chance here. Some slight deviations from the story we know and love. Thank you for the prompt <3 sorry it took like 5 months to get it done!!
─── ・ 。゚☆: . . :☆゚. ─── ➶ ─── ・ 。゚☆: . . :☆゚. ───
Graham’s arm wrapped around your shoulder, pulling you against him as you lounged on the couch together, whispering like you usually did. You whispered something to him, making him laugh so loud that Eddie could hardly keep pretending to focus on the TV set. He rolled his eyes, readjusting himself on the love seat as he tried to drown out the laughter of you and Graham.
“You know, there’s rooms all over this house you two could go to if you need some time alone.” Warren laughed, teasing the two before sliding himself down next to Eddie, pushing his legs off.
Eddie couldn’t help but glare at him, rubbing at his temple. A few hours ago he had felt so good, so refreshed when you came walking through the door, bags in hand for a two week visit from upper Cali. Eddie had been home with Warren, watching some sitcom, bored out of his mind. When he saw you standing in the doorway he almost knocked you over by how quickly he wrapped his arms around you, burying his face in the crook of your neck.
“God, I’ve missed you.” He sighed, pulling away enough to look you right in the eye.
You couldn’t help but look away in an attempt to hide the heat rising in your cheeks. You smiled, taking in the way his fingers pushed against you, the way he carried this glint in his eye that you swore he held only for you. “Could say the same for you.”
Warren entered the room with open arms asking where his hug was. You placed a hand on Eddie’s cheek before pulling away to give Warren a much more casual hug. You’d spend a few hours with the two, mostly answering questions asked about what you had been up to, if you’d been booked lately, how long you would be around. Then the Dunne brothers had arrived and Graham had all but scooped you off the couch, the two of you laughing and quick to fall into step in order to catch up on everything you’d missed while being away.
So now Eddie was stomping around the house like some big kid, making his annoyance known. And you picked up on it, watching from your peripheral as he paced around the kitchen, picking at the leftovers in the counter and cold beers in the fridge.
Graham leaned over to you, poking at your shoulder before whispering another joke into your ear that made you giggle.
“I’m going for a smoke.” Eddie muttered, slamming the fridge shut and walking out to the balcony. You bit your lip as he walked out, contemplating if you could go join him.
You went to the kitchen and grabbed a beer. Warren waltzed in and grabbed a box of cereal, pouring a bit into his hand and giving you a goofy smile.
“Hey, need help?” He pointed at the bottle in your hands which you handed to him gladly, glancing out the back door to Eddie who was leaning against the railing, the cigarette glowing a soft red against the low light.
“He’s had the biggest crush on you forever y’know?” Warren laughed, popping the lid of the bottle and returning back to his cereal.
You whipped your head around to look at Warren, eyes wide. “What?”
You asked, trying to figure out if you may have been hearing things. Warren was high, that's why he was eating cereal out of his hand and giggling like a mad man.
“Dude, you’ve never wondered why he always looks like a ray of sunshine everytime you come around? Or why is he the first one to get up and hug you like it’s the last time he’ll do it?” Warren shook his head, grinning. “That’s not just because he wants to.” Warren walked away, leaving you to consider what he told you.
One one hand, he was high, and giggly with or without the leaf. On the other hand, there was something about the way Eddie held you, the way he kept you near him even if some model or groupie had her arm slung around him.
Eddie looked back, quickly straightened up when he saw you coming through the door, smiling softly when you leaned against him. The two of you remained silent until you plucked the cigarette out of his hand, taking a hit of it before stomping it out under your foot.
“Those things will kill you, you know?” You asked, looking up at him. He smiled down at you and motioned towards the beer.
“You aren’t doing much better, how long do you think casting directors will let you get away with the drinking?” He teased, referring to the booked shoots you had told him and Warren about.
Your smile faltered a bit, something he was quick to pick up on. “What’s wrong love?”
“Oh Eddie,” you teared up but quickly wiped them away and bit your lip to try and deter the tears, “I haven’t gotten booked in months. My mom’s threatening to send my brothers to come get me, doesn’t want me to be up here anymore, not if I’m not working.”
“Why didn’t you say anything?” He asked, eyebrows furrowed as he hesitated to wrap his arms around you. You leaned against him, tears still rolling softly. His hands ran themselves against your hair, doing his best to comfort you. “Does Graham know?”
You nodded a yes. “It doesn’t matter. He thinks it would be good for me to see my family for a bit, and maybe stay there. I was never made for the California lifestyle like you guys.”
Eddie scoffed, shaking his head. He pulled away from you, walking back towards the balcony. “Well that’s a shitty thing. Why would he encourage you to go back? Doesn’t he love you enough to try and keep you here, help you anyway he can?”
“You guys have so much going on with the band- I mean you’re on the brink of hitting it big, I don’t wanna be a bother either.”
“No.” Eddie walked back to you, gently taking your arms into his hands as he held you softly. “You could never be a bother okay? Not to me, never. I-” He hesitated, choosing his next words carefully. “I’d do anything to have you stay by my side. Anything.”
Your breath hitched. For a second you forgot that you and Eddie weren’t alone. You forgot that a few feet away your friends sat drinking and smoking and that the balcony wasn’t your own oasis to share with the boy you were sure you had loved since you were 16, the first time he performed on a stage that wasn’t set up in someone’s backyard and there had been something more than just a passion for the music.
“Eddie…I really like you.” You smiled, watching his face for any kind of reaction.
His eyebrows furrowed and he stepped back slightly. How could you say that? How could you admit that you had feelings when your boyfriend was sitting feet away from the two of you. “What about Graham?” he asked, eyebrows furrowed.
You follow suit, looking back at the house then back at Eddie. “Why do you keep asking about him?”
Eddie stayed silent, a blush rising to his face as he pushed his hair out of his face, looking out towards the city. “I thought the two of you were going steady.”
You stood there not really sure how to react. You wanted to laugh, ask him if that’s why he’d been so sour the minute the Dunne’s had arrived. But the more overwhelming sense in you wanted to grab him and kiss him, show him that you and Graham had never been anything but best friends and that he’d been the one you thought about late at night. Eddie was the one that you had dreams and hopes for, more so than the boys you’d known since birth.
And so you did. Before you even knew it you captured Eddie’s lips against your own, your hand resting gently against his cheek as his hands found their way against the small of your back. And he smiled. He smiled against your lips like he was the happiest man in the world. When you both pulled away you looked up at him but his eyes remained closed.
“What’s wrong?” “Just scared I’ll open them and it’ll be a dream.”
You laughed, hitting against his chest softly. “Why didn’t you say anything?” “Was worried about losing you.”
“Hey”, you wrapped your arms around his shoulders. He looked down at you, his arms finding their way around your body, like it was the most natural thing to him. “Not one person is more important to me than you.”

Studio Time
Daisy Jones x Reader
Summary: Daisy decides to stay behind with you while you work.
warnings: none, pure fluff.
(a/n: trying to normalize random daisy fluff)
masterlist | taglist | requests: open
Tumblr media
You first met Daisy when Simone introduced you to her at a party. It was really dark but you remember noticing her eyes first, then her hair, then her smile. She couldn't look more gorgeous.
You had known Simone through Teddy, one of the best guys you work with. He's like your best friend and father figure trapped in one and plus you make music together so you've had a bond that's like no other.
You knew Daisy because you heard "Look At Us Now" on the radio and fell in love with her voice, you have been begging Teddy to let you meet her.
Daisy was absolutely love-struck when first meeting you, but didn't show it. She hadn't heard of you before meeting you but she couldn't get enough of you when she first met you.
Daisy didn't leave you alone for the rest of the party. She sat with you and talked from music to what she had to eat last night, she felt like an open book with you and that's something she felt like she couldn't get from anyone else.
She left with you in the middle of the party, you couldn't help it. Daisy woke up in the middle of your soft king-sized bed, the sun shining through the hills of your neighborhood.
She found you making breakfast and watching the news and couldn't get enough of you.
You two ended up skinny dipping in your pool while on acid.
Now it's been eight months since you and Daisy have been dating, publicly. Everyone knows if they see you, they should see Daisy wandering around behind you.
Daisy has, for the most part, moved into your home. She spends all weekend from Friday to Monday morning when she goes for studio time for Daisy Jones and the Six.
And you couldn't get enough of her during work either, because she would be in the same building as you while you were recording with another artist. Daisy would visit you for a little while you work or you would join the band with her.
The band also loved you, you got along really well with Warren, Camila (even if she isn't in the band), and Karen. Billy respected you the way he respected Teddy, and you wanted nothing to do with him.
Daisy was obsessed with your artistic point of view so she would always try to get you to listen to the bands' music. She would want your opinion on every song she wrote and loved to hear everything you would work on.
That's why, when you stayed behind an artist and were fixing some of the recordings, Daisy stayed behind with you.
"Daisy, it's late, you should go home and rest," you say to her, moving the headset from only one ear.
"But... I wanted to stay at your place tonight" Daisy said, you realized she planned this after she couldn't stay over at your house the past weekend because of a little show she performed.
Daisy was currently laying on a couch on the side of the recording booth, reasonably close to you so you were able to see her cute tired face smooshed up. You knew all this haze was the after-effect of the pills you gave her an hour ago and the lines you snorted off the booth.
You got to work for a little before you felt a hand on your shoulder. You look up and see Daisy, "Can I sit with you?"
You move the chair back and she sits in your lap and you take off your headphones.
"You okay?" you asked, worried she didn't feel good.
"Just wanted to be with you"
You nod and get back to work, you let the music run through the studio so Daisy could hear.
You smile as you feel her breath on your skin, happy with just her here as you play music. You knew Daisy when she felt safe, and this was her.
This wasn't her when she was with Billy when she would pick at everything and was impossible to be with. She has no worries when she's with you and you knew this.
Her arms were wrapped around you and you were rubbing her back with your non-dominant hand, as your dominant hand was working the booth.
"That sounds really good" Daisy whispers to you. If she wasn't sitting on top of you, you wouldn't have heard her.
You smile harder, then lean down to kiss Daisy's head.
It was a few minutes later when you heard the door open quietly. You look over and see Teddy at the door, he smiles at you and dims the lights for Daisy.
Daisy pushes her head further into you and breathes in your scent.
You knew Daisy would rather be here than anywhere else on the world right now, and it comforted you to have her. Daisy knew you grew up alone like her, no siblings and no family, so she understood you and you understood her.
“Are we actually going to stay the night here or are we going home?” Daisy grumbles into your neck and you laugh lightly.
Home, you think.

JOSEPH FRANKLIN (biographer, author of Juliet Opal: One of Six): It was during this tour that people started noticing Juliet. She wasn’t hidden on the back of the stage anymore, she sang a few songs alongside Billy, people really started liking her.
ROD REYES: I wanted Juliet to be more of a frontman than she was when I first saw the band, if you have some college girls going out to see music and have to pick between two bands they don’t know, nine times out of ten they’re picking the band with the girl in it solely because they’re doing something new. I wanted Karen more in the front too, but she didn’t like it, Juliet fit the role more.
JULIET OPAL: Billy had me backing him on more songs and he added random lines for certain ones for me to sing alone, a lot of them were randomly added and kinda skewed the message of the songs, but he wasn’t willing to give up any of his lines, so I took what I could get. He had me sing a decent amount in Susie-Q, something about trying to get in the female perspective, I don’t know. All I know is that I hated that goddamn song.
The band was on tour for a few weeks before things got bad, Billy started picking up drinking as a go-to habit. He started disappearing with groupies after shows, Juliet tried her best to dismiss it, he would always turn up before things got serious and she never expected him to do anything that would hurt Camila. It wasn’t until when one night on the phone Camila told her that Billy had kept forgetting to call her that she started to get worried.
After finishing a show in Houston, Juliet wandered up to the floor of the hotel where the band was staying and searched through the rooms of each member in search of Eddie. There had been a series of people invited back to various groups of parties by the band, but most of it had died out by then and people had returned to their rooms, some with their respected partners for the night. When she raised her hand to knock on one of the doors, she heard a bit of commotion from inside the room across the hall. She stopped her motion, assuming that the noise was either Eddie or someone who would know where he was, she turned and made her way over to the door, twisting the handle and pulling it open.
JULIET OPAL: I found Billy in a rather.. uncomfortable situation.
“What the fuck do you think you’re doing,” She made her way across the room, throwing clothes at the few girls spread littered the room. As his guests piled out the door and took their things with then, Juliet approached Billy, who was slumped across one of the white blanketed beds, and slapped him across the face, grabbing him by his collar in an attempt to wipe him out of his drunk stupor, “You have some fucking nerve, cheating on your pregnant wife, cheating on Camila!”
She let go of his collar, pushing him against the headboard of the bed, before storming out of the room to find Eddie and Graham in the hallway, having heard the commotion.
“Hey, what’s going on?” Graham questioned, stepping in front of her and holding up a hand to stop her from going any farther.
“Have you two been covering for him?” She asked, more demanded than asked, and shoved him away from her.
“Julie, listen-”
“Don’t fucking talk to me like that, Eddie! How dare you? You knew and you said nothing,” tears started welling up in the corners of her eyes as her voice stuttered, “Camila is back at home, depressed that her husband isn’t putting in the effort to pick up the fucking phone, and I’m sitting over here promising her that everything is fine, he’s just busy, and you’re just letting him do this? I pity the poor fucking woman who you end up with, having a husband who thinks doing that is okay.”
She stormed off down the hall, closing her hotel room door and locking it before throwing herself onto the bed, collecting herself before making her next move. After a few minutes of collecting herself, she stood up and approached the phone on the nightstand on the opposite side of the room. Nervously, she tangled her fingers in the cord while dialing the number of their house in Topanga Canyon.
“Hey, Cami?” She did her best to not sound like she had been crying when she spoke next, doing her best to paint a smile on her face that she hoped would sound through the phone, “I really think you should come out and spend a while out here with us. I-”
“Is everything okay, Julie?” That was it, she broke.
“No,” she spoke, clutching the phone cord in her left hand, “You need to get out here, as soon as humanly possible.”
JULIET OPAL: She flew out the next morning and met us before we left for our next stop.
The Six crowded into their van as they left for the next city on their stop. A heavy silence coated the air, Warren could’ve cut the tension with a swing one of his drumsticks. Eddie and Juliet were leaning against the back doors of the van, distant from the rest of the group who was at the front of the trunk, leaning into the front seat to try to create conversation.
“I’m still mad at you, y’know,” Juliet muttered, pursing her lips and staring out the window on the opposite door in an attempt to avoid eye contact with him.
“I know you are,” he put his arm around her, pulling her in closer and leaning her head against his shoulder, “I hope a piece of you understands where I was coming from not telling you.”
“I don’t, don’t think I ever will,” she licked her lips, “Unfortunately, given our circumstances, I don’t think it’s possible for me to stay mad at you much longer.”
“Oh, yeah?” A smile pulled across his face, turning to look at her as she still avoided his face, “How much longer are you thinking? Maybe through our next show?”
“I was thinking more until the next gas stop,” she smirked, “but if you prefer I wait until then..”
“No,” he cut her off, letting a breathy laugh slip, “until our next gas stop works fine for me.”
“Well in that case,” she readjusted herself against him, leaning more into his shoulder, “Wake me up once we’re back on the road.”
She closed her eyes and folded her arms as her head rested against him. He laughed and pressed a kiss into the hair on the top of her head, before moving his arm from her shoulders to around her waist and pulling her closer into him.
Soundcheck started at four that night, meaning that Juliet and Warren made their way inside at 3:45, never later, never earlier. The same routine, the only difference this time was that Eddie walked in alongside them, his arm looped around Juliet’s shoulders, leaning against her for support as they stumbled their way onto the stage, preparing to spend the next fifteen minutes messing around onstage.
Post-show, the band spread themselves throughout the bar in their hotel lobby, deciding who to invite to their actual party once the forced socializing was done. Juliet had herself leaned against a barstool, where she was chatting amicably with a young girl who went to school a few blocks from the venue and had heard about the band from her roommate.
“It’s good to know we’re actually expanding our audience, I’m sick of the same pervert guys who only come for a chance to get a peek at Karen or I in the bathroom,” Juliet leaned in and whispered, avoiding the listening ears of the group of college guys huddled around the pair, engaged in their own fake conversations. The girl, who had introduced herself as Susan, snorted in response, nearly spitting out her drink.
“I really don’t think you’ll like it if I tell you that my roommate heard about your band from her ex-boyfriend,” she laughed.
“Oh, you’re so right, I really do not like that,” she sighed, shaking her head as she laughed, “Whatever, all publicity is good publicity,” she raised her glass to Susan’s.
“Listen, I know this is kinda far shot,” Susan started, finishing her drink before sliding her coat on, “but I really have to get back to my room, but I like you. It’s so hard to find actual good friends and I know you’re like on your way to being a rockstar or whatever,” Juliet playfully rolled her eyes at the comment, “but could I maybe get the number for your house back home? Maybe next time you’re around here, I can come see you again?”
“Yeah, totally,” she scribbled out the number on the receipt the bartender had brought by when he saw Susan put on her coat and handed it to her, “I make no promises on when we’ll actually get back, but my friend, Camila, will be there so she can keep you as updated as possible and take a message if it’s really important.”
Susan said her final goodbyes and hunted down her roommate before leaving the bar, waving a final goodbye to Juliet as she did so. Juliet then made her way across the bar, hunting for anyone she knew who she could continue talking to.
“Hey,” a man stopped her in her efforts, handing out an opened beer for her to take, which she waved off and shook her head at, “you’re the girl who was singing up there right? You had the guitar, too?”
“Oh, yeah,” she extended her hand to him, smiling a bit, “I’m Juliet.”
“David,” he shook her hand, smiling down at her, “you were good up there. You guys have any more gigs lined up?”
“Yeah, we have a ton more shows, we’re in the middle of a tour right now, some fan you are,” she rolled her eyes, smiling at him as he laughed at her teasing.
“I must admit this is my first time hearing of you guys, but you’re good, hopefully it won’t be the last,” he smirked down at her.
“I mean, I can get you a copy of our tour schedule,” she laughed at his flirting, “you should be expecting to make a drive.”
“It might be easier if I just gave you my phone number? You could give me a call and let me know when I could come see you again.”
“That would be easier, wouldn’t it? I’ve never been into easy though,” she smirked, winking at him and brushing his shoulder as she slid past him and back into the crowd.
“What’d that guy want?” Warren asked, as she slid next to him on a leather couch in the corner of the room, he put his arm around her, briefly turning his attention away from the crowd of girls surrounding him.
“To fuck me,” she said bluntly, “luckily for me, I’m better at reading people than he thought. Have you seen Eddie?”
“Yeah, he went upstairs.”
“Like, with someone?” She asked, seemingly surprised by his response.
“Nah, just said he had a headache,” she settled back down and Warren raised an eyebrow at her, “Why? You’d be jealous if he had?”
“What? No,” she seemed surprised that he would even ask, “We’re not together.”
“Mhm,” he muttered, “to both of your dismay,” he turned away from her, placing his attention back on the girls that were swooning over him right next to their conversation.
“Whatever,” she muttered, standing back up and braving the crowd, to go find Eddie upstairs and talk to him about her night.

For any of my sapphic or wlw girlies, Karen Sirko x !muse reader are so “Good Luck, Babe!” By Chapell Roan coded.
You’d be sitting in your car with probably Billy tbh, who you’re too attached to to leave, and it’s after the band has already broken off and done their own thing and her song comes on and you immediately know it’s about you and her and how you’re too scared to leave Billy.
I have lots of more thoughts abt this but imma leave it at this in the event that this gets no likes 💋

Karen Sirko x Fem!Reader: I Love You, I'm Sorry
Inspiration is from the name of the song, I Love You I'm Sorry by Gracie Abrams lol
Y/N = Your Name * I do not own any of the DJATS characters or plot *

Your POV
You were the sound technician that traveled with the band, Daisy Jones and the Six for years. You went on two tours with them and both were cut too short. It was sad, sure. But those two opportunities helped you in the music industry and you made so many friends. One was Karen Sirko.
Enter Karen Sirko. She was the keyboard player for the band and your eyes were drawn to her as she played every time. Unfortunately for your job, you had to pay attention to the rest of them too.
You still remember the first time you two kissed. It was at a party.
The party was a Halloween party and you had dressed up as a zombie with your friends who were crew members for Daisy Jones and the Six. You hug Camila as you enter the party and grab drinks with friends. One of your friends leans over and says, "I think Karen keeps looking over at you." You reply, "Maybe she just likes my costume?" Your friend answers, "Uh I would say that, but she watched you at rehearsal all week for the upcoming tour. And oh she's walking over." You reply, "You and gossip, geez." You hear, "What gossip?" You see Karen standing there and you answer, "Uh just two crew members hooking up." Karen replies, "Really? Huh? Good for them I guess. Can I show you something, Y/N?" You answer, "Sure thing." You follow Karen and you realize that you're walking to her room. OH... show me what now!?!? Karen lets you in her room and then shuts it behind you two. Karen then says, "I think we should kiss. It makes sense. We practically eye fu** each other every day anyway." You reply, "Sure." She then pushes you against the wall and kisses you.
You sigh. You would've done anything for Karen at the start of your secret relationship. You were both so happy. You would often sneak into random closets or random rooms to make out. There was one close call and then Karen started pretending to date Graham in front of her band, so no one would get suspicious. Graham thought it was all real. You think Karen started believing she loved Graham at one point too.
You're grabbing food from the table for the crew and you start eating as you walk. Karen appears next to you, smiling widely. She holds out her hand and says, "Follow me." You reply, "Hi, uh I was going to eat. We could eat together instead." She pulls your hand and says, "You know I can't do that. Come on." She pulls you into a random room and you set your food down. Karen pulls you closer and starts kissing you. You lightly push her off and say, "I don't think I can do this anymore." She pulls away and gasps, "What?" You answer, "I love you, I'm sorry... I know we were keeping it casual, but I love you. I don't like being your little secret, I want to show you off as my girlfriend." She sighs and says, "Babe, come on. You know this band is only a small stepping stone for me. And, this relationship is something I want to keep casual. I just don't want to tell anyone." You say, "Ok that's fine then. But, do you love Graham?" She replies, "No, but it's very easy with him. It's nice." You pick up your food and say, "I wish you all the best in your future with Graham and with your music goals." She half-smiles and you leave the room. You see Graham in the hallway and say, "Your girlfriend is in that room on the left by the way." He smiles and thanks you.
You ended up being transferred off the Daisy Jones & the Six tour to another band's tour because you were the youngest and newest. That was their reasoning and honestly, you were not mad. You wanted space from Karen.
You later found out that the Daisy Jones and the Six tour ended abruptly not to your surprise.
You moved on with a new girl and you were having fun living the life you wanted. It was all good.
You saw the Daisy Jones and the Six documentary in theatres. It was engaging and beautifully done. You noticed yourself in the background a few times. The ending when the band was reflecting on things, well it shook you and messed your life up.
Karen was interviewed and the narrator asked if she loved Graham, which she admitted she did. She said she lied to him because she wasn't ready to settle down and she knew he deserved someone who wanted that now. The narrator asks Karen if she's been in love since and she admits that she never knew she loved Graham if not for you. Yeah, she said your name and admitted she loved you too.
Your brain was spiraling and you were freaking out after learning that.
You end up breaking up with your girlfriend because you realize you still love Karen.
You're sitting at a bar drinking when you hear your name next to you. You turn and there is Karen. She's smiling softly and she takes the seat next to you. She exclaims, "Hi Y/N." You reply, "Hi Karen... I saw the documentary." She takes a deep breath and asks, "And what did you think about it?" You answer, "I thought it was honest and real and beautiful." She asks, "Did you stay until the end? What did you think about that?" You answer, "Uh I thought you were brave to admit that to the world." She asks, "I love you Y/N, I'm sorry I lied all those years ago... if you're okay with it, I would love to take you on a date." You agree and you leave the bar then go on your first date.
You're happy that Karen loves you and you love her.

You Intrigue Me
Billy Dunne x Fem!Reader
✧.* part two — is there something lost in the sky?
✧.* requested by anon — Hi! If you're still taking requests can you do one for Billy dunne? The reader is a pretty popular well liked girl in the same way Billy was and she's basically the one for Billy but they never really cross paths so she doesn't know he likes her like that, they just stay friends. She's not in the band so she doesn't see them often but when she visits during the tour daisy realises she's who Billy's crazy about. Thanks in advance!
✧.* summary — He made you curious in so many ways and you wanted to know why, it was like looking at yourself in a mirror. It was curious how you mirrored each other and at the same time showed each other a new world.
✧.* warnings — none.
✧.* word count — 4.6k
✧.* 🎤 — Billy Dunne's masterlist
✧.* mandy's notes — I didn't put Camila in this story because I didn't want her to be cheated on or have her heart broken, so we're left without her in this universe :)

There were layers in you that weren't easy to access, not even for you, moments and experiences that shaped your being that were so complex to disentangle that just guide you along the way to where you are. Every passion, frustration and new encounter arising in your being during your life was demonstrated by you to others in only one way: music.
You've always shown everything you felt in music and you knew that's what you wanted to do in life from the beginning, and you followed that path with perseverance until you conquered where you are now.
Every chorus the audience screamed at the top of their lungs reverberated through your body and made your bones tremble, while your band played the songs you knew by heart since you were fourteen when you started creating them in your room, you danced around the stage, interacted with the audience and gave your all for each of those individuals who made you so proud of your work.
They jumped up and down as if it was the last night of their lives, the signs with funny phrases, praise for you, and of course several lyrics of your songs, some looked at you with tears in their eyes others with so much emotion that you couldn't help thinking that some drug was involved, but who were you to judge if the one you had this morning was still on your system?
Those were usually the best nights of your life, you loved the shows, the energy of the audience vibrating so intensely full of energy feeling every lyric just like you felt living what you write and sing on each album. It was her way of connecting with the world, of feeling seen by someone, of being heard. And it seemed to work when you looked at those faces.
The spotlights focus on you for a few seconds while you sing the last notes to finish, you close your eyes feeling that adrenaline through your veins once more, it was good to be sober to witness the ecstasy of it, the wonder it was to hear the applause and achieve what you'd always wanted.
You walk backstage with a washcloth slung over your shoulder, panting from everything you've just experienced. Someone from the staff you don't recognize because of the dark offers you a bottle of water and you gladly accept it, taking quick sips eager to quench the thirst that has grown in you since the fourth song. Your back was leaning against some speakers while you caught your breath, from time to time wiping the beads of sweat that descended from your forehead, you heard a few steps behind you and opened your eyes in curiosity.
"You were rocking up there." A man with curly hair and a waistcoat says with a broad smile, Warren Rojas, you'll soon recognize it.
"Thank you Rojas." You say while nodding your head, soon the other band members join you.
You knew very little about The Six, they were new to your label and they were buzzing around, you were happy for their success, after all it wasn't easy to get off the ground that way in the first place. But no one in their right mind could deny that 'Look Me in The Eye' was sensational, they were very good and deserved the recognition they gradually gained. They were on their first tour and Teddy Price had asked you for a favor to open their first show, you were a little reluctant to accept because you didn't know if your songs fit theirs, but something inside you told him to accept the invitation.
It was their first night and you could see the nervousness mixed with the longing to meet their audience, little by little they headed to the stage and again the crowd was agitated amid screams and applause. You tried to ignore the heavy presence of Billy Dunne a little far from you, he looked thoughtful, as if thousands of things danced in his mind driving him crazy with their jumps and twirls. You think about approaching him but are reluctant... There is something so intimate in his figure, almost similar to a mirror.
You had never talked much, and you weren't sure if you wanted this closeness with him, something in you said that getting closer to him meant getting in touch with those layers in you that were so unreachable. You blatantly stare at him, and when he looks back at you it's like a vulnerability attacks your body, you straighten your posture.
"They're waiting for you." You say nodding towards the stage exit, The older Dunne looks straight into your eyes and sighs. "Look, I know it sounds scary, but when you get there, the music takes you with it. At least that's how it is with me."
He listens to you, which surprises you, on the outside he doesn't seem like a good listener at all. Something inside you gives a twinge, you recognize yourself in his eyes in a way.
"They are here for you, take your moment and feel that energy in your bones. I assure you there is nothing like it." You say lighting a cigarette and bringing it to your lips, your words emboldened the word him and you could see it by the way he took a deep breath.
He walks up the stairs listening to the crowd cheer as Warren begins the countdown to the entrance of the song noticing the figure of Billy at the foot of the stage, he looks at you before putting the guitar around your neck.
"Thank you." He murmurs, you just smile.
The show had been spectacular, it had been a while since you had witnessed such energy as an audience and you had to admit that you had been ignorant to think that your music styles didn't match theirs. From the balcony of your hotel room you could hear the city quieting down, there is something curious about the early mornings that make your thoughts wake up, it was always difficult to fall asleep during these days on the road, it was like a constant reminder that moving through various cities was more belonging than what you called home.
When the energy of the shows wore off and you found yourself alone in that hotel room at your own mercy, it was almost bizarre how you managed to entertain thousands of people but never yourself. The early morning breeze hit your skin like a call to the earth, bringing you back to the scene in front of you as you felt your hair stand on end in the frigid air. Your gaze goes to the clock, three in the morning.
You sigh, engaging your body in a hobby, deciding to go for a walk when you notice that you wouldn't quiet your thoughts so easily. Yellow lights illuminated the hotel lobby, you can see the surprise of the two employees who were behind the counter when they saw you exiting the elevator, you offer them a small smile and head for the exit.
It wasn't much different from the balcony in your room, maybe just a little cooler. Maybe now it was more vivid to be able to notice the details of what you admired from afar with a better perspective. At the same time that environment is so distant and apathetic towards you, it brings you a strange comfort.
There is something admirable about silence, about questions that cannot be answered, about the curiosity that surrounds each individual. Being there in the insignificance of your being through the greatness of it all, was a call to question yourself every time you caught yourself admiring the sky too much. Was there any purpose in this relentless pursuit?
"Is there something lost in the sky?" A low voice brings you back to reality once more, you bring your attention to the man with long hair who slowly approaches you.
"Not that I know of." You shrug, opening a small smile. "But there probably is, if I'm lost here, imagine whoever is up there."
You didn't understand why you were being so honest with him, it was the second time you interacted with him but it felt natural, and necessary. Billy looks at you in curiosity, understanding you, you notice.
"Do you think there's someone up there?" He asks, the question makes you think, you shrug deciding not to answer. He looks at you arching his eyebrows. "You intrigue me Y/N."
You light a cigarette, offering him another, he accepts. "And why's that?"
He takes a long drag, you watch the way his lips wrap around the object and that for some reason captures your attention. "There's a fine line between identifying with someone and wanting to be like them." He blows the smoke to the other side, "I don't know how I feel about you"
His answer makes your legs weak, you swallow hard trying to understand if the intensity of your day confused the discernment you were having of this moment, or if it was those eyes that simply made it impossible for you to respond.
"I just think you're an interesting person." He adds, you can't help noticing that now he was looking at the sky like you. "You know, I would love to write a song about you."
This captures your attention more, you turn your body fully towards him now, turning your face in curiosity. "Look, it usually works, I've been doing it for a few years."
Your comment makes him laugh, you notice that such a sound warms your stomach, it was good. "But I doubt you can do a better job than me." You shrug, he smirks at you with a curious look in his eyes.
"It's a challenge?" You can see that he was shivering a little, probably regretting his choice of outfit as he left his room.
You cross your arms with a bigger smile on your lips, the cigarette was already ending at this point. "Let's do it like this, I write about you and you about me. And we will see which album does better."
His eyes gleamed with the idea, it wasn't a fight between you, but a competition surrounded by curiosity and eagerness to see where it would all go. You were full of talent, reigns of genius in every line and musical note, from there wonderful things would come out for the music industry for sure.
"It's a deal!" He extends his hand towards you, you notice his calloused fingers probably because of the guitar, you shake his hand.
"See you around Billy Dunne." You throw your cigarette butt in the trash can next to you, entering the hotel once again.
The "See you around Billy Dunne" was in fact a prediction of what would happen in the coming months, you didn't have much time together even more with the continuation of the 'SevenEighNine' tour and later your own. You exchanged glances and several conversations during some early mornings from time to time, as time went by the line that connected you two was gradually pulled closer and you strangely loved it.
When you returned to the day of the record company, you saw each other in some meetings and among the halls of the place, the tension grew with each look, with each simple touch between you, with each non-verbal conversation. It was like a growing need that yearned to be satisfied, and how to satisfy that? You two had an escape from such needs, a way to demonstrate what words themselves could not do, it was the melodies that you showed all of that.
Each new song was a new hook to create more, a quest to light and increase that flame, it was addictive and you loved it.
You hummed softly as you strummed the guitar in the empty sound room, from time to time removing the pencil that is resting behind your ear to write in the notebook in front of you, days like that were good... Being inspired and proud of what you created was sensational.
A sound makes you come out of the trance, your eyes go to the big door that is opened by the figure of Billy Dunne, surprised you raise your eyebrow without saying anything. He tosses a notebook above yours, sitting by your side, you remain silent he then runs his hands through his hair.
"I wanted you to see this one." He says with a sigh, you open a small smile taking the object in your hands.
His handwriting was complicated, but you decide not to comment on it, making an effort to understand his notes. You feel his gaze on you, you know exactly what that feeling of vulnerability was, having your writing in someone's hands at the mercy of their judgment is as vulnerable as sex. He was nervous to know your opinion, his eyes analyzed every corner of your face in search of something that showed what you had found, you made sure not to let it show.
The lyrics were like the mold of his core, it was deep, delicate, at the same time harsh and brazen, it screamed at you while holding you in its comfort, it made you think and question and be sure about the little you already know. It was like delving into his soul, it was intimate and vulnerable, the feeling that you know so much about someone while not having exchanged a word with him in your life was peculiar. With each verse you delve deeper and deeper into the knowledge and meaning it brings to a new vision, and you understand that the magnitude of such sets was not just for being a demonstration of his vulnerability but also because it made you question and go in search of your own vulnerability. The peculiar thing was that, you felt like you knew about him when in fact the music was leading you to yourself from the beginning.
You only notice that you are crying when your tear hits the page, you are quick to suck your cheeks trying to recover from the wave of emotions that invaded you after the bridge of the song, how he did it you had no idea but he was able to access the layers you never got in yourself. You bring your gaze to him, a small smile on his face shows he is proud of his work.
"You intrigue me Billy Dunne." You quote him, then applauding what he had read. "Do you already have an idea for a melody?"
"Daisy is helping me with this, I mean, we fight more than we help each other but..." He says through a weak laugh. "I'm sure it will come out eventually."
"I want to be the first to hear it when it's ready." The smile on your face was inevitable, as was the need to be closer to him. For an instant you swear you can swim in the depths of his blue eyes.
His sapphire eyes wander in looking at yours and your lips, he slowly approaches you, another silent need hovering between you, but it was no secret to either of you that there was little left for that line to be crossed, his hands gradually approached your thigh and you allow him to touch you, feeling the great wave of electricity through you.
You take one of your hands to his cheeks, and kiss him unprecedentedly. As your lips meet, the atmosphere around you crackles with an electric charge. The kiss is a fusion of urgency and tenderness, a long-awaited culmination of desire. Your hands find their way to each other, intertwining and exploring with a delicate, passionate touch.
The kiss is a revelation, a meeting of souls that transcends words. It is an exploration of unspoken desires and hidden depths, an intimate connection that takes both of you by surprise. Time seems to stand still as your lips dance in perfect harmony, each movement deepening the connection between you.
The taste of the kiss is intoxicating, a blend of sweetness and longing that leaves you craving more. It is a sensory experience, heightened by the touch of your hands on each other's bodies, creating a symphony of sensations that sends shivers down your spine.
In that moment, the world outside fades away, and it's just the two of you, lost in the intensity of the kiss. It is a meeting of minds, a collision of emotions, where every touch and every breath speaks volumes. The chemistry between you is undeniable, and the passion that courses through your veins is palpable.
As the kiss reaches its peak, a mixture of desire, vulnerability, and connection fills the air. It is a moment of surrender, where inhibitions melt away and the depth of your connection becomes undeniable.
As the kiss slowly comes to an end, you find yourselves breathless, your lips tingling with the remnants of the shared passion. The silence remains, almost as present between you as the other feelings, he licks his lips and soon smiles, picking up his notebook.
"I'll call you when it's ready." He speaks in a hoarse voice, you open a big smile watching him leave through the same door he entered.
For Daisy Jones, Billy's creativity operated in a very complex and different way from her own, after all, she rarely did this sober. For her it was like seeing a rare phenomenon happen before her eyes, and besides, it was very curious to know what was the basis for such inspiration in the songs that were entrusted to him. He was a quiet person, he didn't even open up to his brother who had been there forever, so Jones's biggest hobby together with Warren was to go in search of who was the inspiring muse of the older Dunne.
They had become addicted to it, searching for little clues and hints Billy left in the lyrics, or analyzing every change in attitude, every longer exchange of glances, but they had nothing but big guesses. Warren swore it was one of the helpers Teddy had hired over the past month, but Daisy maintained that the songs were too deep to be about someone the Dunne knew for such little time.
But the redhead didn't know you, she couldn't take her guesses to you because she had no idea of your existence until that day. Eddie played around doing some riffs, catching Graham's attention, who wrote it down in a notebook nearby—noticing only later that it wasn't his, but Warren's. Karen hunched over the keyboard sleepily waiting for Billy to show up, Warren had gathered several cans and was drumming on them as he talked to Daisy, both of them smoking cigarettes.
When opening the studio doors it was like shouting at a room that had just entered, because everyone immediately turned their eyes to you, you smile small as a way to avoid more extensive hellos, Billy doesn't take long to come after you with a huge smile on his face, which does not go unnoticed by Daisy.
She looks at Warren with wide eyes, as if begging him to understand what she was trying to say, Rojas doesn't even notice. She rolls her eyes and walks over to her microphone putting her headphones, the musical aura has always been a home for you so it's not uncomfortable being there with these people at any time.
You really wanted to hear how they had shaped those lyrics as a team, creating and bringing music to life was always and will be the best art form for you, and to see that magic happen before your eyes was always spectacular. The song didn't disappoint you in any way, you were too proud of what they had done there, you wanted to cry again but maybe it was too intimate for you to let that happen there.
You close your eyes letting the melody invade your eardrums, your hair shivers, the butterflies in your stomach grow again and you feel like you belong. When the melody drops and you notice the song gradually fading away, you applaud them with a gigantic, proud smile. Interestingly, Teddy does the same on the other side of the glass.
Daisy comes to her senses then, she notices the look in the older Dunne's eyes, the way he seems light in her presence, the way he seems to involuntarily reach out to you. She asks Teddy and Tobias if they had finished recording and they release her, she doesn't take long to grab Rojas by the hands and pull him out of the room.
"What happened?" Warren was high, she could tell because she was coming off her own.
"It's her!” Jones exclaims, pointing to the room that had the doors closed beside them. The drummer frowns, she sighs. "Billy's inspirational muse is that girl inside."
"Y/N?" He questions as if trying to connect the dots, he moves his fingers as if he's doing the math. "You think?"
"I'm sure!" The redhead exclaims excitedly, it was as if looking at you she could read Billy's lyrics. "I've never seen him smile like that."
"It must be because he hates you." Warren shrugs, smoothing his mustache. She frowns. "Are you sure it's not Gabriela?"
"He never exchanged a word with her Warren!" Daisy looked irritated, the drummer thought it was funny.
"You never saw the two of them talking either." He snaps his fingers pointing to the door like he's made the best argument in the world.
"Looking at her is like I'm looking at songs from this album, Warren!" She says hitting the key of her argument, Rojas is thoughtful. "I mean, apart from my songs."
"I still don't think we can rule out the idea that Gabi..." He starts to speak but is interrupted by the door being opened.
You walk out the door with Billy Dunne at your side, you guys laugh at something he had commented about Graham inside, it was curious how good and comfortable you felt next to him. Daisy looks at Warren with emphasizing what she had already said with just a fixed look, Warren closes his eyes still uncertain.
"Teddy gave us a few minutes to spare before the next round." Billy clarifies, running his hands through his hair. "We're going to the diner nearby, do you guys want something?"
"No no, enjoy." Daisy smiles small, almost like a smirk on her lips.
"I want a natural sandwich, an orange juice and if you can, bring me a granola bar too." Rojas says adjusting his vest, getting a chuckle from you, an annoyed look from Billy and an incredulous one from Daisy.
The background music was yours, you smile small with pride in your chest but try not to show it. You decide to sit at a table farther apart, avoiding prying eyes, you both knew you weren't very talkative people at times like these. Billy asks what he wanted to eat, you do the same and remind him to order for Warren too.
"And? What do you think of the result? "He questions drinking some of her juice. Looking deeply into your eyes.
"It was perfect, I had no doubt it was going to be so fucking good." You say, biting the sandwich that rested in front of you.
"To hear that from you means a lot." He sounded sincere, you decide to believe him. "Don't ask me why, it's complex."
You raise your hands in surrender, causing him to chuckle. You then open your bag and take out your notebook, he watches your every move with curiosity.
"My turn to surprise you." You hand it to him gently, you felt very vulnerable now, he accessed his layers slowly and it was scary, but it was good when it was done with him.
As Billy receives the notebook from you, his eyes flicker with a mix of anticipation and curiosity. He holds the notebook gently, his fingertips tracing the worn cover before opening it, revealing the pages that hold your musical creation.
As he starts to read the lyrics and notes, a range of emotions flicker across his face. His brows furrow slightly, indicating deep concentration as he absorbs the words and melodies you've crafted. The lines etched on his forehead soften, transitioning into a subtle smile that tugs at the corners of his lips.
You notice a glimmer in his eyes, a spark of recognition and appreciation. It's as if your song has struck a chord within him, resonating with his own emotions and experiences. The way he leans into the notebook, immersing himself in your creation, speaks volumes about his genuine interest and investment in your art.
He takes a moment to collect his thoughts, his gaze shifting between the notebook and your expectant face. When he finally speaks, his voice carries a mix of awe and reverence.
"This is incredible," he says, his voice filled with sincerity. "Fuck Y/N… This is indeed a masterpiece."
A smile spreads across your face, mirroring the warmth and pride that swells within your chest. His genuine admiration and appreciation for your work validate the vulnerability you felt in sharing it with him.
"I still have things to polish on it." You make it clear, taking another bite of your sandwich. "But I think something really good is going to come out of it."
"You think? I'm sure." He looked proud of you, it was a good feeling.
Billy looks up at you, his eyes shining with admiration and gratitude. He reaches out to place a hand gently on yours, a silent gesture of connection and understanding. The unspoken bond between you deepens in that moment, as your artistic expressions have transcended words and touched something profound within him.
His reaction is a testament to the power of your song, and you feel a surge of confidence and joy. This exchange of creativity and vulnerability strengthens your connection, reminding you both of the unique bond you share as artists and individuals.
"When is the album ready?" He asks, the french fries in front of him didn't look very good but he kept eating them every now and then. "I don't want to rush you or anything, I just want to hear you sing again."
"You don't need any excuse to hear me sing Billy Dunne." You smile small, admiring his beautiful eyes.
He doesn't know much what to say, so he watches you intrigued, trying to decipher where you're going with this.
"Meet me tonight at the studio, I'll sing for you." You offer by opening your purse and leaving money on the table for your order.
"Are you asking me on a date?" He asks without taking his eyes off yours, you feel your legs go weak.
"Come and find out." You wink at him leaving the room.
Daisy pushes Warren a little to the side, he complains about the slight pain he feels in his arm but continues with his role of observing the table of the two from afar.
"You see? They're clearly having something!" She says proudly at having figured out her big mystery.
"I never would have guessed, really." He shrugs, playing with one of his curls.
"What the fuck are you guys doing here?" Billy asks when he notices familiar voices when he goes to pay the bill.
"Eating dinner?" Warren tries to coax him with a wide smile. Billy rolls his eyes, leaving the place. "Hey wait, did you buy my granola bar?"
