In my headcanon, Zs’Skayr looked quite like Ghostfreak when he was a child, and the reason why Zs’Skayr ruptured the white skinn when he first escaped the Omnitrix was because he quickly went from a child like age (aka Ben’s) to his real adult one.

I also drew the werewolf!! That I arbitrarily named Ba-Bau. He is Zs’Skayr precious hound.

Using this new power was no simple task...

Bellomy struggled as he tried to get his left arm to work.. but he felt a burning pain, golden veins appeared as they spread through his hand...

He hissed as the burning grew but he saw his hand glow.. his eye began to glow as well when he tried to concentrate but the pain was still there... and he only got worse...

But he didn't stop.. he didn't want to give up.. he didn't want to let his new friends down.. they need his help... So with one deep breath.. he focused and then like that, his hand created something.. it was warm and heavy... but it wasn't heavy for him.. He looked to see what he created and he was shocked at the sight... Golden Chains flowed around him...

Incredible... he was in awe... he smiled softly under his skin as he turned to help his friends out with his new power...

Well, Happy Halloween everyone!! ((As I post this in the middle of the night before the holiday lol XD )) I wasn't too sure who to draw for this day but I have slowly fallen back on the Ben 10 Fandom lol, and well, I really wanted to draw Bellomy again! It's been awhile and since it's Halloween, it's a perfect excuse to draw him! ((Though I have drawing ideas now for him heh XD )) But yeah, I hope you guys like it and enjoy the little story for this artwork. In honor of Pride Month, do you have any LGBTQ+ worldbuilding headcanons for any alien species in the Ben 10 Cinematic Universe, whether biological or societal/cultural?

Biologically, I consider Pyronites agender at default (inevitably by process of space travel and meeting cultures in which gender is prevalent there will be Pyros who think social gender sounds awesome actually and promptly trans their gender), we’ve only seen Pryonite transformations and hybrids as full characters, leaving them up for interpretation in my opinion. Any two of the species can mate, in which they will mutually erupt in flame until a rocky body is formed from their combined material and a fire inhabits it.

(Which results in a very interesting kink scene for other species with a thing for burning)

Vulpimancers lack a social concept of romance. Which in a way means they have an aromantic society but also not because they have no reference of what romance is to consider themselves devoid of it.

Necrofriggians are an agender and sexless species we all know this.

Anur Transyl has a very prominent queer scene, it effectively goes hand in hand with accepting so many different cultures as a multi species planet.

On that note, Ectonurites are a sexless species that reproduces via apomixis. Though they do have a cultural understanding of gender that translates to our understanding of m/f, but it has nothing to do with anything thing related to reproduction.

Tetramand culture has a very prominent f/f culture in its history. Many of female Tetramand that were unable to be defeated by any man were instead eventually bested by a woman and were promptly betrothed. These pairs were typically renowned as images of strength. M/m couples took longer to be accepted, unfortunately, initially being regarded as both partners being too weak to court a female.

Polymorphs are biologically sexless and socially genderless. Single cell organisms don’t have much to work with.

Lepidopterrians are a tri-sex species. Sexualities are thought us which of those the individual is attracted to. Three for exclusive attraction to each one, three for any combination of two of them, and one for attraction to all and any. Which of the three the individual happens to be is not considered.

Piscciss Volanns have the natural ability to change their sex when their current environment necessitates. Now however, it is used also as a way to transition for bodily dysmorphic transgender Volanns. Due to the larger size and different physicality of the females compared to the males, it’s a long and rather strenuous process, but is met with much celebration when completed.

Planchaküle treat genderfluidity as the default. They love their adaptations after all. Can’t leave one thing as it is for too long.

Methanosians have four sexes. Two which produce pollen, pollination functions with only one of them providing the pollen, but the two of them joining together in the act results in more diverse offspring and is the social norm. The other two are the pollinated. The first of them will always bare offspring of the two pollinator sexes, while the other will always bare offspring of the pollenated sexes. Perhaps not the most streamlined reproduction cycle but it seems to be working for them.

Cerebroian Currmary all default to male as a result of their biological programming. This was unintentional of the Cerebrocrustians, but they would claim otherwise. Many decide they prefer to be female, neither, or both however.

Galvanic Mechamorphs don’t have sex, but they do base their gender off of the Galvan’s because they think it’s neat.

I can tell you ghostfreak is the best and scariest alien from Ben 10, this episode was his best spot light, after the zs'skayr episode of course, he's my favorite

Honestly I’d love to see the Ben 10 fandom go more in-depth as to what the galactic audience’s thoughts regarding interspecies relationships and what dynamics formed between different species are like. Is dating To'kustars or Galvans when you’re not a To’kustar or Galvan frowned upon due to the severe height difference involved? Are there debates on whether it’s ethical to date a Vulpimancer or not? Is a Galvan dating a Galvanic Mechamorphs seen as a power imbalance? What would a romantic relationship between a Petrosapien and a Tetramand be like, or a queerplatonic one between an Ectonurite and a Lepidopterran be like, or even a platonic/familial one between a Kineceleran and a Pyronite?

Heheh, I really like thinking about the interplanetary community and it’s dynamics throughout the cosmos in the Ben 10 series, because I dunno it’s like rife with potential for worldbuilding and I guess political drama? Because apparently I like fictional political drama? I guess when it’s fictional it doesn’t affect anyone so it can be played around with in interesting ways.

Got some talking points down below hehe-

I have like SO MANY headcanons about how the interplanetary community treats vulpimancers, though to be fair I have like an unrefined list of notes about the chronology of Vulpin politics and ideologies that I haven’t neatened up yet, and one of those headcanons is the difficulties they face trying to prove themselves just as sapient as the other species; amongst all the bullshit that does bring, interspecies relationships are also affected by that bias. And the fact that you bring up the implied dynamic between creator (the galvan) and creation (galvanic mechamorphs) is interesting too because also, you can kinda also have debates about ‘is it ethical to date the first generation of a species’ especially in comparison to galvans who seem to have quite long lives, ‘is it ethical for a long living species to date a species by all means younger in their entirety than they are’ type questions-

It also isn’t just like the general interplanetary community though it’s also just the differing planetary communities (with their differing nations etc etc until we get to the individual) that also butt heads with each other- an ectonurite’s family really REALLY pushing for them to ‘get together’ with their queerplatonic lepidopterran partner before they have to host a funeral one day vs the lepidopterran having to explain to their hive that they’re happy with their ectonurite partner especially without the pressure of it being romantic there’s so many others that can and do *coughs into hand* ‘contribute’ to the hive population! Or or! The kineceleran not giving two shits about their pyronite sibling from another… pibling? Ah whatever- being so frickin’ slow because they can both bond over sports vs the pyronite wanting to share one of their thrill seeking traditions from back home with a race in their stunt car against their kineceleran cuz’ own personal wheels!

Lowkey I kinda made at least a concept for a tetramand/petrosapien couple which I based on a pseudo sumo wrestling match I saw at school once where one of the participants was slammed into the ground but they quickly switched their positions to roll the person on top so fast the crowd thought THEY were the one to win and not the person they flipped who won first- I mean! In my sphere of headcanons about petrosapiens and Petropia is that they barely got much chance to interact with the universe at large (being cracked open by the fulmini before Plumber intervention set them off plus doing something similar but… a little MORE to what they did on Revonnah) and so modern interplanetary discussions about any petrosapien relationship is ‘i thought they were extinct?’ and especially with tetramands intense courtship it may even skip straight to ‘oh they might as well be extinct’. Not exactly pleasant to hear, compounded by the rare potential someone happens to know - to put it in gross terms - a ‘suitable mate’ with the opposite sex of the petrosapien they’re pestering. At that point you’d better hope it wasn’t the tetramand/petrosapien pair because if the petrosapien doesn’t stab you over the offence, the tetramand would put you in your place, as legally able to as they’d can just to piss them off :P

Do you think if a galvan and a to’kustar were dating it’d be considered a ‘long distance relationship’ :P?

Baby ectonurites are all tail and a featureless head. They stay in the pouch of the parent until they open their eye.

While adults don’t have natural predators, babies and preteens aren’t safe from the angry fauna of their home planet. Most parents move to more civilised regions after the babies have started wandering around.

no but for real!!!! auughhghh. like, i personally love to make a mishmash of canons bc i find "he is for real actually a clone of superman" a very fun space to play in (and its like, implicitly true in rots like where lois compares him having only a few of clark's powers to cyborg superman saying he had all of them at kon's age, which she knows clark didn't. like i know it's ambiguous and in aos #506 it's explicitly made untrue, but nonetheless it's fun to me hehe)

but his relationships with cadmus staff and how he feels about paul westfield and all his opinions on clone rights and personhood and. augh. auGHHG!!!!! theyre important and theyre also so unique to him and his situation and. aaa ! ! ! !! ! ! his feelings towards all the other clones like the one in annual #2... the way he already HAD the "if someone shitty was involved in my creation does that reflect on me?" concerns and talked it out with clark (i was gonna say "geoff dni" but i think thats the problem. he did not read with his brain. like he may have read it but it sure wasnt with his brain or even eyes i guess :/ anyways.)

that's just all So much more interesting (and unique!!!) than any of the lex stuff. kon's barely had any comics since tt03 that didn't shoehorn in lex plots (looking at you, adventure comics '09. as much as theres stuff i love in that comic, there's also just... so much that made me sigh and/or roll my eyes). (superboy 2011 my beloved. more weird shit going on in smallville with kon and his group of small town queers please.)

like putting in lex as a dna donor (let alone. 50%. throws up. also throws a dictionary at geoff johns's head.) turns it into yet another "child with an evil parent trying to be good" situation. which isn't inherently bad, like. points at cass cain. rose wilson. etc. but it DOES strip away the uniqueness of kon's clone origin and all his scifi themes as well. it's just... boring, to me.

also i just looked at That Part of annual #2 and im once again sad. hims little face.
