For some paleo related fun, here's a huge Eurasian Pleistocene Big Cat sketchdump from 2023 when I was brainstorming for White Cat, Gold Plains

I still like a lot of these, though I was obviously trying to lean more into realism than I do in Kindred Also they're not Fleet Fangs, they're a different species within the same genera, Homotherium latidens and Panthera (leo) spelaea

Despite being named after the famous Muppet frog, Kermitops gratus here wasn't actually a frog itself. Instead it was a close relative of the common ancestor of all modern amphibians, part of a grouping of amphibian-like animals known as amphibamiform temnospondyls.

Living in what is now Texas, USA, during the mid-Permian, about 275 million years ago, Kermitops would have resembled a chunky salamander. Only its fossil skull is known, so its full body size is uncertain, but based on the proportions of related amphibamiformes it was probably around 15-20cm long (~6-8").

Although its discovery helps to fill in the very sparse fossil record of the early evolution of modern amphibians, it's also complicated matters more than expected. Previously it was thought that the characteristic skull anatomy of modern amphibians evolved in a clear sequence, but Kermitops has a unique mix of features that doesn't fit this idea – suggesting that there was a lot of convergent evolution going on in amphibamiformes at the time.

i somehow missed to share this or even react to it and i thought about making gif sets — but the video is so much better. gifs cannot do it justice. this is shared by rufeng ( 如枫飞舞 ) to commemorate 729. i’m pretty sure i probably saw a cut of a bit of this at a different angle, seeing it again is making me feel things for some reason. aside from me missing those days where they can promote a show together, which i’m sure they miss too— spending that time with each other and working with someone you adore.

they are in their own little world again. which is not new. from cql shoots, television show recording, interviews and even freakin concerts! lol. but something about this is just special. how xz leans in and wyb listens and reacts. how xz probably noticed something and just had to share it to yibo immediately. the eyebrow raise and shaking his head plus a smile — xiao zhan. you. stop it. then they both walk off, wyb was behind but xz had to gesture for him to come on. which is what he does frequently when they attended events together, always asking where yibo is, wanting them to be side by side. some are saying he looks jealous but i’m not gonna go there. he just needs his bobo beside him okay?

they are so perfect. look at them and their interactions. it’s plain to see. everything else is just noise. 🫶🏼

Okay but I am just starting to notice how fucking talented REO is and how no one talks about it?! That dude had probably been playing soccer for the shortest time there YET he was on the top tier team in the building. The team v REO could plan the games, and read the plays WAY better than team z isagi. And not only his soccer aptitude was high to begin with (i mean they way he won that match back in high school with those giants" team [yep, the one where he got spotted] was damn impressive to say the least) he also had enough skills to manipulate the team to become his....slaves. In a way.

Only if he didn't start out as "I need nagi to win the football cup" mentality he'd probably be called the prodigy. Which, i don't see why he doesn't deserve that tag. Being a jack of all trades is damn tough and he does a pretty good job at it. Those "fuck being jack of all trade, be master of one" preachers ARE AFRAID AF of him because he breaking through the "you can't be perfect at everything" stereotypes.
