Describe a beloved wacky communist-era low-budget fairytale movie, go!
I'll start
A princess is, somehow, born with a wind-up clockwork mechanism meaning that unless someone turns the key, she cannot move. Marries a very neurodivergent prince-inventor who tries to make a better key so she won't have to freeze up so often. Manages to lose the key just as she freezes up. While searching for it, he gets distracted and forgets about the problem. Princess breaks her curse with the power of rage and hunger. There is a subplot of greedy royal advisors trying to steal shit from the castle.

#this one doesn't have a caption#i took this picture as evidence of lupin's slav squat#except i didn't fucking include his feet in the picture#you can still kinda see from the angle of his ankles that his feet must be flat on the ground#so it's likely he was raised in japan or by japanese people rather than in france#yes i am the kind of insane nerd who tries to analyse a character's place of origin/upbringing by the way they squat#(for the record: slavs and east-asian folks tend to squat with their heels touching the ground)#(whereas westerners squat with their heels in the air)#lupin iii#twcfm#The Woman Called Fujiko Mine#takeshi koike

GLORY TO THE GODDESS VESNA.
Vesna, goddess of Spring. The warm one, the Lady of flowers, hills, and sister of cold Morana. Make your presence known this spring and summer. Let us feel your warmth and gentle touch of your spring wind. From the warm beaches , to the cold mountains, make us feel your love and warmth.
Glory to Vesna.

Maybe I like the history of the Byzantine Empire so much because I too am in a constant state of disaster
#Byzantine history is just 'Emperor whoever reconquered the lands they lost 50 years ago...then they got invaded from the other side'#'5 years later they lost the lands they had just regained'#'then they got hit by a plague and 3 earthquakes'#'then the slavs invaded from the west and the persians from the east'#'constantinople was besieged yet again'#'then they recovered some land...and then the Arabs invaded'#'they regained these provinces but then the emperor died and they fell into internal squabbling and lost them again in the meantime'

Countries' jobs and skills
WARNING: Some of the names mantioned are the same as the names of historical figures. The plots are not about the real people, but about the nations. To make things easier and have names that make sense for the nations some names match with real people, but it's not about them. In my bio I also have this warning, but I will keep putting it just in case.
In my last post, I gave my opinion on the proto-bulgarian calendar (which was that at the very least it wasn't recognized by UNESCO).
With that in mind, I still think that it would be interesting to see Nikolay (Bulgaria)'s father (Old Great Bulgaria) explaining physics and astrophysics to him.
My plots regarding the countries' interests are (for the most part) not based on a common interest within a nation or something that it is known for or has a lot of achievements in.
/Especially considering the fact that proto-bulgarians had (as many nations back in the day) their religion explaining astronomy (again I am not a historian so don't quote me on this) for example when they go to a battle and the moon gets smaller they thought that it meant that they were going to lose even if they had an advantage/
In my plots when the dead nations come back they are given the modernized knowledge of the things they knew, were good at or used constantly.
That's why, for example Rumen (East Rumelia) and Kotrag (Volga Bulgaria) are doctors even in the modern world and have the knowledge of today's family doctors (both of them are family doctors).
As I said, in my plots Old Great Bulgaria is good at physics. He is also a retired army general /proto-bulgarians had amazing battle tactics, because of which they won so many battles against such strong enemies/. He also as the Great Khan of Old Gread Bulgaria has a lot general knowledge in many fields. Even though he isn't a master in many of them, the amount of knowledge he has is the reason for his sons to go to him first whenever they need help.
Bayan is a police officer,
Kuber is a softuare engineer and Alcek is a singer/actor.
Nikolay's mother (she is also the mother of the rest of the south slavs and had raised Nikolay's brothers that she isn't biologically connected to /if you have any names (human and for her as a nation/group) please tell me/) is also a retired soldier. In Old Great Bulgaria the women were protecting the cities while the men were away and I think that she would also be a general /and be able to kick Old Great Bulgaria's ass (even though she never had a reason to, but that's for another post)/

I thought saga of viera slavbaited me bc of the name but it's so much worse. The only vaguely-slavic looking clothing item is the holy maiden's headpiece, and yet the names are like "zoya" and "olga" and the towns are "lena" and "viera" so i wasn't baited they just dropped the ball. Smh.
#there's a fit similar to folk clothes in dancing on ice tho but i'm not really into iceskating so i don't feel like buying it just for one#fit. and besides the fit is very east slavic and i'm a south slav

oddly i have heard bizarre statements from racists in the us as well that russians are ALL ethnically asian (specifically evil mongolians too, guess its a popular racist stereotype) and that's why they're inherently violent compared to british people
dude there's unironically propaganda going around about Russians not having/knowing how to use toilets???? and I initially thought it was just gonna be a USamerican lib talking point BUT IVE HEARD IT MULTIPLE TIMES OVER HERE. I feel like I'm going crazy
#asks#racism#my mom likes to say people 'look Russian' as an insult and has said it about multiple people whose ancestors have never gone further east#than like. Slovakia.#like are you sure my bestie from Poland 'looks Russian' or do you just hate Slavs and make shit up?

the other day i was chatting to saf abt how i based a lot of facial features for anica and serghei to represent influences from the south and the north respectively, while also trying to make sure they still look related. and i feel i’ve succeeded with that!
she then brought up anica’s face reminding her of türkan şoray and hold on fellas hold tf on
i see it!
#when i say differing influences i mean more like:#more south slav/mediterranean influences in anica's face#and more east slav in serghei's. but again making sure they look like siblings!#so this owns. i'm making notes.#mâna autorului ✧ ooc

Do you know something about interslavic language project btw?
прывітаньне з Беларусі!
Hello and здраво пријатељу!
Поздрав за Белорусију из Србије!! 🇷🇸🇧🇾
Unfortunately, my knowledge about the interslavic language Project is quite limited! All i know is a few words that i saw from my favorite language learning channel and also just the whole purpose of the project.
I know that the project is made to connect slavic people even more, linguistically speaking, as we are already really connected even now, centuries after being divided! And to show us how we can understand one language that is based on all slavic languages so easily! One day, i wish to learn interslavic! But for now, as i need to practice my english for university (i am planning to attend the English faculty at the national university of Philology) so i need to focus on that LOL. But maybe in a few years i will start learning! And i am sure the interslavic language Project is gonna be rising in popularity then!!! But for now , i can only research!
Thank you for asking! My inbox is always open to questions and stuff!! ☺️😁
