“When she applied to run in the Boston Marathon in 1966 they rejected her saying: “Women are not physiologically able to run a marathon, and we can’t take the liability.” Then exactly 50 years ago today, on the day of the marathon, Bobbi Gibb hid in the bushes and waited for the race to begin. When about half of the runners had gone past she jumped in. She wore her brother’s Bermuda shorts, a pair of boy’s sneakers, a bathing suit, and a sweatshirt. As she took off into the swarm of runners, Gibb started to feel overheated, but she didn’t remove her hoodie. “I knew if they saw me, they were going to try to stop me,” she said. “I even thought I might be arrested.” It didn’t take long for male runners in Gibb’s vicinity to realize that she was not another man. Gibb expected them to shoulder her off the road, or call out to the police. Instead, the other runners told her that if anyone tried to interfere with her race, they would put a stop to it. Finally feeling secure and assured, Gibb took off her sweatshirt. As soon as it became clear that there was a woman running in the marathon, the crowd erupted—not with anger or righteousness, but with pure joy, she recalled. Men cheered. Women cried. By the time she reached Wellesley College, the news of her run had spread, and the female students were waiting for her, jumping and screaming. The governor of Massachusetts met her at the finish line and shook her hand. The first woman to ever run the marathon had finished in the top third.”

if you would like trans women to stop being suspicious of your intentions as a tme person you should probably take the very important step of not making it about you LOL like it actually really is not about you as an individual at all. part of having friends that are marginalized in ways you aren't - something that needs to be accepted to even get to this point - is listening to them discuss violence/oppression/control enacted on them by people in a group you belong to and accepting that they aren't fucking attacking you personally. how do you think people will come to trust you if you've positioned yourself to assume they look down on you specifically?

Love a female character who does illegal acts and is living her best life. Look at her killing people and smiling. Honestly, this is the best time she's ever had. Probably the best version of herself. Yeah ignore the viscera in the corner. Oh she just announced she's killing someone/ everyone? That's cool I mean look at her! This is the best her life has ever been! She had character development into a worse person (to other people) and a danger to society but this is the best she's ever felt before!!

I'm going to be real, I've been on testosterone for multiple years and my levels have been very consistently high and whatnot, and yet I haven't gotten to the point where my testosterone "makes" me act in possessive, creepy ways toward women. Not even the women who are drop-dead gorgeous to me!
And that's because it's not about testosterone. It's about the way you choose to interact with women. When you devalue them already, no amount of testosterone is going to influence you further.

Some fans: Eloise is such a fake feminist, doesn't she see how some girls and women enjoy marriage? Doesn't she see how her privileges give her luxuries others don't? She's so selfish. She doesn't even use her words to support other women!
Also same fans: I wish Eloise would stop talking, like her speaking about feminism at every turn is getting old. Can't she just be quiet and let everyone enjoy the fun? Like yeah talking about women's lack of personhood without a male figure in society, or how they can't go to university, or how sometimes they marry men who will only hurt them but need to for their status is sad to see, but THE ROMANCE-

There is too much hypocrisy in the statement “Rhaenyra always needed her daddy to support her.”
Must we bring up the subject of how Aegon wouldn’t have been anything but a waste of space his entire life if it weren’t for his mother’s scheming? She was basically the hand controlling the puppet.
I fail to remember when Aegon himself called a Council upon his father’s death, to assert his dominance and take the throne for himself. Oh right, I can only remember Alicent doing that for him.
Did Aegon arrange his own coronation? Nope. Alicent and Otto did that for him.
What about marriage prospects for him after Helaena died? Alicent handled that for him again.
Alicent has been holding her son’s hand throughout this whole war, and you’re going to criticize Rhaenyra for the fact that her father publicly and proudly supports her claim, as his chosen heir?
Rhaenyra Targaryen was the heir to the throne, and it was expected of her father, the King who named her heir, to support her until his dying breath (which he did).

Trans men. Never feel inferior to a cis man ok? You’re carving your masculinity out of flesh and bone. What did THEY do, inherit it from their parents?? Like nepo babies??
