Elizabeth stood among the carnage of the battle, wounded allies and enemies alike surrounding her. The blood coating her clothes and skin painted a morbid picture. Blood-Stained Ellie, Hendrickson had learned the demons had once called her. The blue of her eyes had vanished. In its place was the sharp orange of a goddess. Massive white wings spread behind her, ready to take flight at a moment’s notice. Her clenched fists shook. Her gaze was locked on Meliodas’ fallen form as another wail broke past her lips; the anguish turning into wrath.

This one is called Wrath of Light, it's one of my Febuwhump fics (yep, still working on those XD). It's for Day 23: “You’ll have to go through me”. So it'll still be a while before this one's completed, but I think you'll like it.

7. What is your favorite scene you’ve written so far?

Okay this took Ages because I had a really hard time picking a favorite scene. I think there's two types of favorites 1) is the overarching scene itself is good and then 2) the scene is really well written in a way that's lovely.

I went more with the former. I'll add some of the scene below under the cut. Essentially, though, Jake (main character) had promised his best friend that he would tell his crush (Asher) that he likes him. Only instead Jake tells him he's trans because he's messy like that.

Talk to Me About the WIP I’m Currently Writing

“It’s all right. I like listening to you talk. And you telling stories and learning more about you.” Jake stops, the words are in his throat, they are so close to coming out. ‘I like you.’ Three words. He can do it. Saying it isn’t going to hurt anyone or ruin anything. He can do it.

I.

Like.

You.

He takes a deep breath and looks at Asher, but can’t look at him right in the eyes. He instead focuses of Asher’s nose. Jake wishes there was any part of Asher that wasn’t attractive, if there was one spot he could focus on that wouldn’t make him want to melt into a million pieces.

Jake can tell Asher’s eyes are still on him. He appreciates Asher not rushing him. He appreciates him waiting, allowing him to say this in his time, not needing Jake to fit into Asher’s schedule.

He takes another deep breath and holds the words close to him, holds them in heart, tight, before he opens his mouth. He tells himself; he tells the words, that it’s okay to be out. It’s okay to free and open. He tells them he doesn’t have to keep them to himself.

“I…” he starts and then stops. The words stuck in his throat, a painful lump he can’t seem to swallow down. He tries a few times, though, determined to do it. Determined to let it out, let it go, and…

“I’m trans.”

The words are out before Jake processes the thought. The words hang, heavy, and Jake doesn’t know what happened. That’s not what he had intended to say, not what he wanted to open up about, not what he was expecting to have set free.

Hello and welcome to my little sideblog! I’m Marijn, my pronouns are they/them, and I’m 26. I’m also white, USAmerican, and raised Christian (not evangelical, thankfully), if you’re curious as to where I’m coming from. My main is @earmo-imni. I’m currently in a weird place in life where I know I want to convert to Judaism, but due to a combination of various factors, I’m struggling to start the conversion process.

Until I can officially start that, I’m making do with learning what I can about Judaism on my own and reblogging stuff here. This will probably also be where I talk about my thoughts regarding Judaism, and my conversion journey, once I start it.

Any recommendations for books/videos/etc. are welcome! So is advice on converting to Judaism!
