Another continuation of EAH names, but this time, it's the children of Robin Hood's Merry Men.

Warning, puns abound. Enjoy!

First, Robin Hood and Maid Marian son's Sparrow Hood. You already know him so I'll skip the introduction and just drop his picture down below.

Next the son of Little John, John Little, Jr. (also called "Johnny" or "Junior" by friends and family). Like his father, he's tall. Like, really tall. He's the same age as Sparrow, but is a few months older. He's been handling Sparrow's ego from a young age and is the only one who can really get him off of his high horse and back to the real world. He also acts as the band's roadie/manager.

Now we have a semi-familiar face, Tucker Friar (also called "Tuck" by his friends and family), the son of Friar Tuck. He was only mentioned in the books and is one of two Merry Men we see in the webisodes, but everyone has pretty much dubbed this one (pictured here) Tucker Friar. He's like John in that he can bring Sparrow down from one of his ego trips. He either plays the bass or guitar in Sparrow's band.

Now, the only other Merry Man we were shown in the webisodes, the one with green hair, I have dubbed as the son of Reynold Greenleaf, Ray Greenleaf. He either plays the bass or guitar in Sparrow's band.

Another one you might recognize is the Orange Haired backgrounder. As previously stated, she could be the daughter of Alan-a-Dale or Will Scarlet. As Alanna Dale, she could be a skilled musician, like her father, with a harp or a lute. If she is Wilma Scarlet, she could not only be a skilled musician, but also a skilled swordsman, like her father. The two could often be mistaken for each other, even among the Merry Men, because they have the same hair color.

Next, we have the daughter of George-a-Greene, Georgia Greene. She has a lot of animals that are actually strays or lost pets that her family keeps impounded on their family property. She is also a great watchman like her father, keeping watch over their family property and Sherwood Forest.

Now, the child of Gamble Gold, Gable Gold. Like all the other Merry Men, they are skilled in combat, like archery, swords, and quarter staff.

Much the Miller's Son has a son of his own, Michael Miller. Not only can he mill, but he can also use a bow and arrow and is very skilled with a knife as well.

Gilbert Whitehand (or Gilbert with the White Hand) has a son named Robert Whitehand. Like his father, and the rest of the Merry Men, he is skilled in archery and swordsmanship.

Swaney the Scot's son is named Wayne Scot. Like the rest of the Merry Men, he is skilled in archery, swords, horseback riding, and has other skills that a Merry Man would need.

Will Stutely has a son named Bill Stutely. He has the skills a Merry Man would need, but he is also a spy for Robin Hood, gathering information on the Sheriff and his plans.

David of Doncaster's son is named Daniel Doncaster. He has the skills of a Merry Man, but he can also use a quarter staff and is a skilled wrestler as well. As such, he's a bit larger than the average man.

Lastly, we have Arthur a Bland's son, Archer Bland. Despite his name, Archer is a skilled tanner and fighter, along with the other Merry Men. He grew up together with Sparrow and the other Merry Men's children.

We have created EAH-Community-Made children of The Merry Men OCs!

Here is proof that their (gender and) appearances, thus far, have been voted on.

I’m not done by any means, but we needed a refresher on what these teens look like, didn’t we?

All Merry Men OC’s except the son of David of Doncaster and the daughter of Much the Miller’s Son (Midge) will have [a] nose piercing(s).

So there’s 9 Merry Men we’re creating, plus Tucker (son of Friar Tuck) and who we decided is the son of Little John, so 11 altogether.

We’ve decided Willbur Scarlett, son of Will Scarlett, is a cis boy and Midge Millerson, daughter of Much The Miller’s Son, is a trans girl.

I’m going to keep the group mainly boys (including trans boys of course), so that means overall there needs to be at least 6 boys and 5 others.

So far we have 3 boys (Willbur, Tucker, & Little John’s son) and 1 girl (Midge).

If anyone dorms with Sparrow, it’s at least Tucker and Jonah, as they are the closest to him.

*Keep in mind that regardless of the space you think the treehouse has, they could still sleep two per room.

I’ve been looking for the version of the Robin Hood story I read once, where Reynold and John were two different people, and I can’t find it. Now every version I find has Reynold Greenleaf as a name Little John went by for a time.

So I’ve decided the Merry Men OCs, Jonah Little and the child of Reynold Greenleaf will be cousins.

I’ve also been reminded while reading that Will Scarlett is the nephew of Robin Hood. Robin’s older sister is Will Scarlett’s mom.

So for Sparrow and the child of Will Scarlett to be in highschool together, either Robin and Marian had a child very late or Will Scarlett and his lady had a baby very early.

is there a reason you're deciding to do hair dye options before hair style options? i feel like we could get a lot more creative with it if we did it after hairstyles. eg if we chose to give a character braids, mohawk, side shave, undercut, all of those could affect how their hair might be colored. even giving a character bangs or not might affect people's opinions. this isn't hate! just pondering

Once a poll is done I take a picture to save it and then delete the post so it doesn’t clog up the eah tags. I was looking at the previous polls we had done that I had saved and wanted to finish up the dye ones for the grouping to be cohesive.

Thanks for your input! I guess I just don’t think of complicated hairstyles because I don’t really do anything with mine. 😅 Thanks for the clarification on the pondering too, I appreciate it as someone with anxiety.

I think this will be okay though? One’s a buzz cut, so no styling there. There’s chin length and ear length, which doesn’t leave too much room for styling anyways…

The shoulder length and the mid back length ones might be tricky?

I guess I made the assumptions that these guys would be lazy teens and not do anything too dramatic with their hair, or not think it through themselves…

And like the girls in the show change hairstyles for different occasions, so would the Merry Men right? So the dye jobs would have to work for more than one hairstyle? Like how Jonah & Tucker do their hair differently for Thronecoming?

We’ll have to see how it goes, I guess?

what other polls will you do for the merry men kids? sexualities? royal/rebel? i'd assume they all have similar beliefs on destiny to sparrow. styles? instruments/ role in the band? id assume not all of them are active performers, some would be techies, + whatever else. idk how you'd do personality polls but something like that. friends outside of the merry men? best friends within the band? once that's decided backstories for their friendships?

There’s a lot to consider! I probably will do a lot of these!

(To answer about Royal/Rebel, it’s canon that there is conflict among the children of The Merry Men because some are royals and some are rebels, so they don’t all hold similar beliefs)

But I’m not done with physical descriptions yet! What about hair length? Hair texture? Style? Do they dye it? What about piercings? Do they wear makeup? What about birthmarks or freckles or beauty marks? Do they paint their nails?

I know I’m going crazy with polls, but I want as much to be up to the public as possible!

I want them to have names though! We have 4 names out of the 11. I’d go ahead and just do polls on them, but I want to give people a chance to suggest names! I want to hear from others!
