(apologies for outing myself as a fragrance enthusiast on main, but) i collected my order of niche samples today & although i haven't Experienced them properly yet, my opinion that le labo really /is/ a vastly overrated (and gimmicky. and overpriced! god.) house still stands.

#i know i'm the n-th person to say this but. santal 33 truly smells like dill pickles.#whereas another 13 comes across as... weirdly corporate.#but in a somewhat dystopian way? or rather: even more dystopian than the term already implies.#i kid you not; my first association upon smelling it was severance (the apple tv+ show).#however i did like noir 29! definitely reminiscent of black tea.#but nonetheless: it's still (horrendously) overpriced and (fairly) overhyped (and i'm saying this as a tom ford private blend enjoyer).
