Im really wondering why Jayce decided to take Viktor to their lab instead of like.... get medical help i guess? Besides his desperation and fear for his life i mean.

All the subjects before died when "connected" go the hexcore. I know Jayce recognises Viktors altered body parts as hexcore mcfuckery but like thats such a GAMBLE to take man.

It kinda makes me wonder if his injuries were That severe or if Jayce was just too panicked to think about the existence of a hospital

I'm so glad these two weren't just shelved with no acknowledgement of their time together in 2.2, I'm so happy. Dan Heng had zero hesitation about contacting Boothill for this, and the fact that he trusts him enough to rely on his word alone is already dearly beloved to me, but it's also the fact that like. Dan Heng is notoriously antisocial.

Yanqing worries that he's offended him, March 7th used to complain about him not opening up or talking more, he's completely silent in the group chat with Bronya, Sushang develops the world's funniest nickname within like minutes of meeting him.

Even his signature on his text messages. Instead of anything personal or a friendly greeting like most people, Dan Heng's just mentions his job as an archivist.

It's not that he doesn't like people! And it's not that he's trying to be rude or anything! Dan Heng just. Doesn't like chatting.

But that's part of why I think it's really cute that he wanted to ask Boothill something, and immediately pulled out his own phone to do it. In 2.3, we had the huge group chat used to disarm the bomb on the Radiant Feldspar, which included the dango trio and Boothill. So we know all four of these people must have each other's contact info. Dan Heng could have just as easily turned around and asked the Trailblazer or March 7th to text Boothill. But no, even though Dan Heng never likes to talk unless it's absolutely necessary, he decided he wanted to do it himself this time. ♡

when I started orv I expected it to be a story where lots of main characters die, like i was coming at it as someone who's read homestuck, I fully expected a lot of major character death, I expected no one from that first subway car to survive. and then as I kept reading, it really struck me just how many people survived and how aside from kim dokja dying a dozen times, no one in the main party has died, and now I've realized that is extremely intentional. this is a story where a lot of people are supposed to die, it's a story that's supposed to force repeated sacrifice, and kim dokja looked at that story and went "absolutely the fuck not, that's not the story I want to tell" and pulled that burden of sacrifice onto himself over and over because he refuses to be part of a story where his friends die

so instead of a drawing todays art is Babys First Embroidery

it is in reference to the fact that i recently found out my state has a program that provides free naloxone to anybody who wants to carry it, no prescription necessary.

if you aren’t familiar, naloxone (brand name Narcan) is a medication that can be used to reverse an opioid overdose almost instantaneously in an emergency. in my state it is provided in the form of a nasal spray, but similar programs in other areas might offer auto-injectors, or other subcutaneous delivery methods.

BUT what i want to get across is that there are A LOT of these programs out there! if you’re curious, just google “free naloxone [your location]” and you might be able to get your hands on free or extremely reduced cost doses of naloxone to carry with you. most programs will train you how to administer the medication, and how to recognize signs of overdose.

harm reduction for drug users is important to me, regardless of who is using them, or for what purpose. and you can be part of that effort in your community SO easily by adding this to your first aid repertoire. it’s a bit like getting cpr certified! only literally so fast and cheap and easy like in my case i was in and out of the pharmacy in 15 minutes!!! you can literally save somebodys life with this, it is so so worth it.
