#TBT to some photos I shot back in 1940 (only joking, ho ho 🤡). Atmospheric images of reenactors photographed on a frigid February day at Dover Castle for an English Heritage exhibition to mark the 80th anniversary of the Dunkirk evacuation. Unfortunately, the events and exhibition were lost to covid so these are previously unseen images. Come to think of it, I’ve not heard the Prime Minister reference Dunkirk so far in speeches made since the start of the pandemic, but it’s only a matter of time. I think he’s saving it for a big announcement. Happy anniversary!!! About a week ago I was in Calais which is not too far away from Dunkirk and I FELT THE SPIRIT!! A car ferry took me to Dover and I was staring at the sea daydreaming about our beloved movie characters. I also went inside Westminster Abbey and saw the window glass they made to honour the RAF and the soldiers on the glass all looked like Collins. I thought I shared this with you;))) Have a nice day and thank you for running this blog!!!
