Jessica and Leto Atreides x physical touch - Dune, Frank Herbert │ Dune (2021) dir. Denis Villeneuve
"This is the way it had to be, Leto, she thought. "A time of love and a time of grief. She rested her hand on her abdomen,"

Finally finished Dune book, and as someone who watched the movies first, I have two general thoughts:
The first movie was actually pretty accurate to the corresponding book parts, even some portions of dialogue were taken straight from the book. The second movie though, was mostly based on the vibes and general idea of the events that followed the first parts (which I ultimately think was a good call from Villeneuve, even though I was oftentimes surprised by things that were changed or omitted)
The movies really help with visualizing the entire planet and the world in general, but the book describes interesting details and explains things that are kind of considered as a given in movies. So I would recommend reading the book if you only watched movies, as you might end up appreciating them even more.

If there's ever another Dune adaptation in the future they should switch things up and make it an animated musical where nothing is taken as seriously as it probably should be. Send tweet

🌌 Exploring the Epic World of Dune by Frank Herbert 🌌
Today, let’s dive into the intricate and mesmerizing universe of Dune by Frank Herbert. This science fiction masterpiece is more than just a tale of politics and power; it's a richly woven tapestry of ecology, religion, and human ambition.
Why Dune is a Must-Read:
Complex Characters: From the enigmatic Paul Atreides to the fierce Fremen, each character is deeply developed and integral to the plot.
Intricate World-Building: Herbert’s creation of the desert planet Arrakis, with its unique ecosystem and spice economy, is nothing short of brilliant.
Themes of Power and Corruption: The struggle for control over the spice melange mirrors real-world issues of resource scarcity and political intrigue.
Philosophical Depth: Dune challenges readers to think about destiny, leadership, and the human condition in profound ways.
Whether you're a seasoned sci-fi aficionado or new to the genre, Dune offers an unforgettable journey that will leave you pondering long after you've turned the last page.
Have you read Dune?
