Hate that my favorite character is usually the least fav in a popular ship. This happens to me so often that I can feel it when I read a fanfic. That my baby just isn’t as fleshed out as the other half of the couple, that they’re basic personality traits are off, that the blame of everything bad that happened in their canon relationship is on them. Duncney Headcanon ‼️‼️ about them getting back together after All Stars.

This actually was meant to just be a headcanon, like, a short little headcanon but um, I got carried away and it's... Paragraphs.

It was all friendly and all at first. They were both just kinda hated by a lot of people. So they were there for each other as friends.

Courtney was already messed up from the show. She'd never lost anything in her life before Total Drama, so losing four times in pretty humiliating ways made her feel REALLY bad about herself. Not to mention getting cheated on. By All Stars, she was feeling a little confused and lower than she had before. Then after All Stars, she was considered a villain, so she just felt worse.

So her and Duncan started hanging out several months to a year after the show. Even if he did break her emotionally, he was (surprisingly) there for her. Because why not? He was partially responsible for her hard fall. It's about time he own up to it. They become friends. And seeing her more vulnerable, Duncan was actually seeing her in a non-competitive state. And he started to fall in love with her again.

It took Courtney a while to accept that. She never fully lost interest in him, but he completely broke her heart. And she wasn't too good to him either. Things weren't right the first time.

But eventually she gives into their feelings and they start dating again. And they're better this time.

AND THEY ALL LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER THE END.
