Nothing makes me "return to monke" faster than my deaf kitten CLAWING at my butt and legs because I'm her safe space when she's in estrus.
How did I accomplish that? Extra head rubs and kisses on the noggin because I can't give her and her sister attention like I normally do when they're like that.
#I'm waiting until her and her sister grow a bit more#due to the potential side effects of the procedure#they're a year old and STILL under 8lbs#they've both still got their primordial pooches so they're not underweight#they're just small#the deaf one will shadow me and cling to me during hers#her sister will not stop trying to get in my face when hers happens#but ffs girls please at least get to 7lbs and STAY there so I can finally take you two to the vet#fucking epigenetics why you gotta do my baby girls dirty like this?#their mom is feral and likely their grandma and so on and so forth

A new treatment combining ReCET and semaglutide could eliminate the need for insulin in type 2 diabetes, with 86% of participants in a study no longer requiring insulin therapy. The treatment was safe and well-tolerated, and further trials are planned to confirm these results.
Groundbreaking research presented at UEG Week 2024 introduces a promising new treatment approach for type 2 diabetes (T2D) that has the potential to greatly reduce or even eliminate the need for insulin therapy.
This innovative approach, which combines a novel procedure known as ReCET (Re-Cellularization via Electroporation Therapy) with semaglutide, resulted in the elimination of insulin therapy for 86% of patients.
Globally, T2D affects 422 million people... While insulin therapy is commonly used to manage blood sugar levels in T2D patients, it can result in side effects... and further complicate diabetes management. [Note: Also very importantly it's fucking bankrupting people who need it!!] A need therefore exists for alternative treatment strategies.
Study Design and Outcomes
The first-in-human study included 14 participants aged 28 to 75 years, with body mass indices ranging from 24 to 40 kg/mÂČ. Each participant underwent the ReCET procedure under deep sedation, a treatment intended to improve the bodyâs sensitivity to its own insulin. Following the procedure, participants adhered to a two-week isocaloric liquid diet, after which semaglutide was gradually titrated up to 1mg/week.
Remarkably, at the 6- and 12-month follow-up, 86% of participants (12 out of 14) no longer required insulin therapy, and this success continued through the 24-month follow-up. In these cases, all patients maintained glycaemic control, with HbA1c levels remaining below 7.5%.
Tolerability and Safety
The maximum dose of semaglutide was well-tolerated by 93% of participants, one individual could not increase to the maximum dose due to nausea. All patients successfully completed the ReCET procedure, and no serious adverse effects were reported.
Dr Celine Busch, lead author of the study, commented, âThese findings are very encouraging, suggesting that ReCET is a safe and feasible procedure that, when combined with semaglutide, can effectively eliminate the need for insulin therapy.â
âUnlike drug therapy, which requires daily medication adherence, ReCET is compliance-free [meaning: you don't have to take it every day], addressing the critical issue of ongoing patient adherence in the management of T2D. In addition, the treatment is disease-modifying: it improves the patientâs sensitivity to their own (endogenous) insulin, tackling the root cause of the disease, as opposed to currently available drug therapies, that are at best disease-controlling.â
Looking ahead, the researchers plan to conduct larger randomized controlled trials to further validate these findings. Dr. Busch added, âWe are currently conducting the EMINENT-2 trial with the same inclusion and exclusion criteria and administration of semaglutide, but with either a sham procedure or ReCET. This study will also include mechanistic assessments to evaluate the underlying mechanism of ReCET.â

Note: If it works even half as well as suggested, this could free so many people from the burden of the ongoing ridiculous cost of insulin. Pharma companies that make insulin can go choke (hopefully).

The Nurse, Z-156
Also known previously as Andrew Laticdinae
Andrew before being subjected to the procedures from Urbanshade at the Hadal Blacksite was a nurse at the [REDACTED] hospital located within [REDACTED] [REDACTED]. During his round about runs a patient under his care, an elderly individual, known as [REDACTED], had passed after receiving a lethal dose of heart medication which sent the elder into cardiac arrest. The nurse responsible for the death was quick to pin the blame onto Andrew, and in his confusion, poor wording, and inability to afford a good lawyer, Andrew was charged with murder and sent to the [REDACTED] Prison.
It was here that he was eventually picked up by Urbanshade along with a select few other individuals.
Andrew during this time was put into a project which revolves around making agile, quick, deadly, and effective agents. He was one of the latest of these procedures, having been subjected to the mix of Nurse Shark and Sea Krait. The Sea Krait DNA provided Andrew with a scuted underbelly, a vicious venom [complemented with fangs], and a large paddle like tail that allowed him to comfortably, quickly and effectively navigate through the waters, able to Bob and weave between narrow spaces. The Nurse Shark mix also provided him with a primarily cartilage skeleton and a bite thatâs near impossible to pry off due to the suction like bite. Should an individual be able to pull Z-156 off, if the venom doesnât make quick work of them the large chunk of flesh that is pulled off along with Z-156 will certainly leave them in a world of hurt.
Andrew ended up as one of the more successful tests, however the animalistic appearance side effect was unwanted and needed to be worked out. After further study Andrew had been dropped, leaving him to ponder what his fate may become. In a desperate moment, Andrew pleaded to Urbanshade Personnel to allow him to opportunity to work as an on-sight-in-water medic, noting he had exponential experience before ended up in his current position.
It took days of back and forth [with help from his Docile nature] to finally get the Personnel to agree, granting him very very limited freedoms compared to the average experiment.
Though he was far from treated like an employee. Whenever he was to be out on his job, he was fitted with a muzzle to prevent any potential envenomation of divers, he could only eat within his room, was monitored around any medications and was heavily restricted on what he had access to as to prevent any potential attacks.
Despite it, Andrew preferred this over being cooped up in a room to rot or potentially worse, almost overworking himself some days out of fear. Even now a passing Expendable may find this friendly face sitting within the Blacksite, ready to offer up his services in exchange for Data. [This Data is given to Sebastian]
Mechanic Info
For 90 pieces of Data players can have their health restored from anywhere between 20-50 health. Do note though that this comes with a 25% risk of failure, in which the player will have 10%-20% of their health removed [this will not exceed 10 health however].
Players can also flash The Nurse a limitless amount of times on their first time meeting him, however continuing to do so with each meeting will result in him becoming short with the player. By the 7th - 8th meeting and flashing him twice, he will lash out and bite the player dealing a base of 10 damage. Though this in itself is fine, players will then receive 2 tickets of damage for up to 30 seconds. Players that were at 100 health will be knocked down to 30. This can be stopped with a medkit though or eating wall dweller flesh.
Nova Starr, Expendable
Just a self insert for me and Non-canon to my universe :3
False Alarm, Z-326
Also know previously as Nouvel Nebula
Nouvel lived a relatively bland life before Urbanshade, married to their husband Clayton Nebula [OC Owned by @cyanide-cafe], and working various odd jobs they could find. They were relatively lax and had little concern, so when they ended up thrown in prison alongside their husband after suspected of being an acquaintance in his murders and defiling via cannibalism, they were thrown for a heavy loop.
Even during these harder times the two were inseparable and this became further apparent once picked up by Urbanshade and delivered to the Hadal Blacksite.
Here, the two were put under similar genetic splicing with small differences in DNA for the purpose of testing fertility between spliced genetics. Despite the difference in spliced DNA, Urbanshade was capable of producing 3 living offspring using their gametes in a controlled environment via test tubes, only one of which however was able to escape their termination date and still roams the facility unbeknownst to their supposed parents.
It wasnât until their time in the Blacksite that Nouvel learned of the crimes that landed their husband here and, subsequently, themself, being absolutely horrified by the revelation and distancing themselves as much as they feesibly could from him during this period. The relationship became stiff and strained in this time, made further worse with the eventual separation of the two for their experimenting. Despite their disdain towards him at the time, he was the only comfort they had in this hellscape, falling deep into a mental spiral which further fueled their eventual sporadic behavior.
The extreme mental strain in this time from the constant experimentation, manhandling from personnel, separation and even occasional threats should they continue to lash out and attack, left them flitty about their behaviors towards Expendables. They seem to show more submissive behaviors when groups of 3 or more are around, being passive unless provoked, but the will quickly become incredibly hostile with groups of 2 or fewer.
Mechanic Info
False alarm is a small and agile monster, preferring to hide within dark rooms whilst waiting on unsuspecting Expendables to pass by. Though they are passive if groups exceed more than 2 players, flashing them will result in a hasty hit and run, where they damage the aggressor for 15 damage and then run off to a separate room.
If there are 3 or more in a party thereâs a rare chance that False Alarm will even provide a small bit of information about item whereabouts for Expendables lingering in a room too long. This could be vague hints about flashlights, medkits, high priced data, or otherwise.
If there are 2 or fewer Expendables around, False Alarm becomes hyper aggressive, doing multiple hit and runs for 5 damage per hit, targeting the player with the least amount of health. Flashing them successfully 3 times will get them to back off entirely, ending the encounter for the rest of the run.
Be wary when False Alarm is around, for their companion Real Alarm is not far behind..
Theo Nebula, 326-327-5
Theo Nebula is the last of 5 offspring that had come as a result of the project behind Z-326 and Z-327. Theo ended up the most human and most viable of the 5, with the first 2 offspring having never successfully survived after being removed from incubation and the more recent 2 having been long terminated before Theo, as they had no use and were more hassle than they were worth, being far more monsterous in appearance than Theo. Despite being the most human, they still showed several physical changes and even risked a shorter life span due to their rapid growth [Looking almost 13 or so despite being 4 at most]. The project itself at least proved it was possible for mutations that had occurred on individuals could be passed down, and with more proper tweaking may even be able to be further selective about what can and canât be passed down.
After Theo had been researched to their fullest extent and there wasnât much use for them anymore, they were set to be terminated just as their previous two siblings. Luckily for young Theo, a familiar face sent the Blacksite into mayhem after releasing the monsters, allowing Theo to escape their fate of being terminated.
From time to time they can be spotted rummaging around rooms or heard crawling in the vents in their search for food and fueling their curiosity of the Blacksite. Theyâre cautiously curious yet incredibly skittish and will quickly run off whenever approached by expendables. Itâs recommended to search where they were last rummaging through as this may provide Expendables with extra data or information

Oc lore post!!!
alright. this may be longer than the Sebastian post but ! i have a lot to say about this guy so here we go !!
This is Dr. Cameron Mallard (Often referred to as just Mallard)
Pronouns are It/its (sometimes He/him but. thats if i forgor/for lore reasons)
Lore dump, will be under the cut as per usual, as well as additional images!
Pre-game information
Mallard was in med school studying to become a nurse, he wasn't too far into the start of his course when he suddenly had a warrant out for his arrest. Turns out there was a doctor with the same last name going around and getting people killed with improper diagnosis/treatment.
Unfortunately, Mallard wasn't able to prove his innocence and was sent to prison and eventually was swooped up by UrbanShade with promises of freedom and a clear record. which, of course knowing UrbanShade. never happened.
Mallard was subjected to very not fun testing, an idea UrbanShade having about avoiding missing limb incidents was to make it so those affected could just grow back their limbs, and while there was a few options for what DNA to take from, it was decided that an Axolotl was the best option, mostly for the underwater nature of the Hadal BlackSite.
Of course, these tests never come without some pain, and once UrbanShade knew Mallard's body had accepted the DNA and was producing it, they needed to see if it worked.
So, they started with seeing if it was possible to reattach missing limbs, starting with two procedures.
His Right hand, and left leg.
They started small, removing his right hand, of course leaving it be for some time to simulate an actual amputation, before they eventually reattached his hand, the results? It worked! However; The hand that had been removed was weaker, with delicate nerves and blood vessels being cut it was near impossible to reattach all of them, so it left his hand weaker, paler and unable to function to its full potential.
Even with this minor setback, UrbanShade had learned a lot and proceeded with the same thing on his left leg and while results were similar, they were improving. His leg being stronger than his hand by comparison but still not back to how it had been previously.
They then let Mallard have time to heal, not a long healing period since they also decided to continue letting him Study though now he was studying to become a doctor instead of a nurse, UrbanShade figuring how durable he was now would make dealing with certain Z-class way easier if they could just stitch him back together and be good as new
once he had healed from those two procedures, they continued, upping the levels of DNA than they had originally given him to see if more of this DNA would help the healing process go faster
The next procedures would get more ambitious;
they removed a majority of his left arm, and opened him up, seeing if organs could be more easily replaced.
He was given several Organ transplants, none of which he actually needed, but due to everything his body accepted these new organs. A win for UrbanShade.
once his arm was also reattached some adverse side effects began to show, now that he had so much Axolotl DNA in him he was starting to develop gills and a tail, awesome! now he can be used for work underwater as well, so UrbanShade cultivated this and allowed for the changes to happen
they may have done a few more procedures on him for aesthetic reasons too, his original colourations were just black but he was eventually made into a Chimera Axolotl instead. for the silly. Literally that was only done for the aesthetics.
The very last procedure they conducted was probably the worse by far, they wanted to see just how far they could push the limits of Mallards body and newfound healing abilities.
So, off with his head.
I'll spare you the Gorey details, this was mostly done to see if it was even possible. and it was.
This however, affected his eyes the most, as like the rest of anything removed from him blood supply was low, and while they were able to make sure his brain suffered no harm, hes a doctor in training after all, his face suffered the short end of the stick
Luckily his eyesight remained, however the ability to make complex facial expressions or move his eyes around in any meaningful way was heavily affected, giving him a constant blank expression (or resting bitch face, depending on who you ask) this procedure ended Mallard up with the nickname "The Chimera" and the Z-Classification of Z-50
And as for the scar around Mallards neck.. He doesn't want to talk about it.
And while things are mostly healed up now, if agitated enough some of the stitching along each of his dismemberment's will bleed a little, not enough to be concerning but enough to look kinda morbid.
Everything had taken a toll on Mallard. He didn't feel like the same man that had come to this place with hope of finally having the truth spread.
It was a lab rat. a mere toy for UrbanShade to play with. It was nothing like it had used to be.
It didn't feel like a person anymore.
Current day
After the containment breach and lock down of Blacksite, the evacuations didn't seem to have any plans for Mallard, while he hadn't been a practicing doctor for very long his Z-Class status was enough for UrbanShade to leave the poor man behind, abandoning it before it even knew what was happening to the place.
It ended up having to break through the glass of its containment cell, ending up wandering the halls of Heavy Containment for a while before it found its way towards some of the earlier doors, which didn't end up well as it then discovered that not every Navi-AI marked door was exactly the correct one, and after one unpleasant meeting with The Mask of Sadness (Good People / Z-96) its right leg was injured pretty badly, and while it healed up relatively well the scar is a nasty one that occasionally still brings it pain.
It can now usually be found just before the Oxygen Gardens, its hideout only labeled by a broken Navi-Path screen. it more often than not avoids most folks, its trust in anyone working for UrbanShade right down the drain.
More recently, it had another unfortunate experience with The Mask of Sadness, getting another pretty bad wound on its side this time, though nowhere near as bad as the one on its leg.
Art breakdown / TLDR
okay, so i know that was a lot of words but i needed to write it all down, so, if you want the short version on some of the facts about Mallard here's a quick little thing about it as well as another one of my little art note pieces
going from top to bottom.
Different colours: Its gills and tail are split between two colours, Black and Pink. This was an aesthetic change made my UrbanShade scientists. This little part has dubbed mallard as "The Chimera"
Axolotl Gills + Tail: This was a side effect cultivated by UrbanShade, as the ability for it to breathe and move underwater would help it work with certain Z-Class that needed to be constantly submerged, as well as aiding any personnel who may have gotten injured under water.
Discouloured skin: The skin on certain parts of Mallard are from procedures done to test its ability to accept removed body parts to see if UrbanShade could cut down on the amount of amputations needed. These parts of Mallard are weaker and dont have as much feeling in them as any normal part of its body
Stitches: These stitches have stayed in mallard long after parts were reattached, as occasionally under stress some of the old wounds may re-open and bleed. Mallard maintains the stitches and changes them regularly.
Scar: The scar on its right leg was obtained from The Mask of Sadness in an unfortunate encounter just after the Lock down had happened. This wound is for the most part healed but It deals with a lot of chronic pain from the severity.
Extra art
this is just a small collection of extra art pieces that ive made !
#roblox pressure#pressure oc#long post#sorry for how rambly it is i really needed to get this whole thing into writing#enjoy !#đ©·đ€#blood#ask to tag

Could Gallifreyans donate organs to humans, and, if so, would human's need immunosuppressants?
Can humans donate organs to Gallifreyans, and how would this affect regeneration since it is not tissue that is Gallifreyan?
Hows does organ donation work between Gallifreyans and humans?
Now we're getting into the really fun stuff :D Let's explore what organ donations might look like between humans and Gallifreyans.
𧏠Gallifreyan to Human Organ Donation
Gallifreyans can donate certain organs to humans due to their unique physiology, which isn't limited by the typical biological barriers faced in human-to-human transplants.
1ïžâŁPreparation
Gallifreyan organs must first be conditioned to process and 'understand' human blood, which can be achieved through:
Blood transfusions from the recipient for a few days;
Direct injections of the recipient's blood into the organ while the organ is still in the Gallifreyan;
A spacey-wacey magic machine that does this step.
This allows the organ to see and understand human blood cells before encountering them in situ. Also, the organ will be marked with a little genetic code from the recipient, resulting in much better chances the human body will accept it. This wouldnât be a pleasant experience for the Gallifreyan by any means. For a nicer experience, the Gallifreyan can retreat to a trance or a healing coma state to allow their body to focus on processing.
If this isn't done:
The chances of rejection are dramatically increased;
If the organ is part of processing like a kidney, it could start trying to break down/eliminate red blood cells and white blood cells, leading to hypoxia and severe immunodeficiency for the human, inevitably resulting in death.
2ïžâŁSurgical Transfer
Transplant operations are similar to human procedures, with a few extra notes:
đAnaesthesia: Anaesthesia needs to be adjusted very precisely for a Gallifreyan to adequately sedate them, else you could just end up paralysing them throughout the whole thing or killing them altogether.
đȘšDurability: Gallifreyans need a little more gusto to get into due to their durable skin and muscle layers.
đ©čMore Heals: Their healing rate means the operation must be fast. Very fast.
3ïžâŁPost-Operative Adjustments
Human recipients might experience initial fluctuations in the organ's function as the Gallifreyan organ tries to adjust to a far less efficient environment. However, they'll benefit from an overall improvement in their biological functions in the long term.
âPotential Organs
đ«đ«Hearts: Gallifreyans hearts are symbiotically linked and donating one is extremely complex and dangerous. The donor will lose significant biological advantages involving healing and energy, and if it really goes wrong mid-op, there could be a permanent death. Not to mention the heart has a slightly different structure to a human heart.
đ«Kidneys: This is one of the easier transplants to perform from Gallifreyan>Human, and the least complex.
đ« Liver, Lungs, etc.: Theoretically possible, but each Gallifreyan organ will have its own unique challenges and side effects.
đ©ș Human to Gallifreyan Organ Donation
Donating human organs to Gallifreyans is more problematic due to the advanced and different nature of Gallifreyan physiology, not to mention a little bit pointless.
đ«Inadequate Function: Human organs probably won't meet the physiological demands of a Gallifreyan body, so they're not much help.
đRegenerative Impact: Introducing human organs into a Gallifreyan could interfere with their regenerative abilities, potentially causing rejection or failure during a regeneration cycle, which isn't going to be pretty.
đ±Regrowth Through Healing: If the Gallifreyan has an elevated level (i.e., just after regeneration or some form of lindos therapy), it could be possible to regrow the organ using lindos, so chances are they won't need it anyway.
đ Immunosuppression and Rejection
For Human Recipients:
Usually, in humans, the body will identify a donor organ as an infection and order the immune system to attack itâthis is why donor recipients take immunosuppressants to inhibit the immune systemâs function.
Immunosuppressant medication is not actually required here. A small, regular dose of artron in the form of an IV infusion (every month) will hugely reduce the risk of acute or chronic rejection. If this artron IV is unavailable, a blood transfusion from any Gallifreyan will be a good replacementâfrom the original donor, it's even better. If that isnât available, immunosuppressants can be used, although it isn't ideal. If that's a no-go, then the kidney will be rejected.
For Gallifreyan Recipients:
While theoretically transplantable, human organs would likely be inadequate without significant modification and support, possibly involving Gallifreyan technology to enhance function and compatibility.
The risk of rejection is heightened, with severe consequences for the Gallifreyanâs health and regeneration capabilities.
đ« So ...
Organ donation between Gallifreyans and humans, while theoretically possible, involves a bit of thought. For Gallifreyan to human transplants, it's very much a yes, but human to Gallifreyan organ donations are just a bit non - it's possible, but there are much easier ways to go about healing the Gallifreyan than giving them your lung.

Understanding Dexketoprofen Trometamol - Uses and Benefits
The field of pain management has evolved significantly with the advent of various analgesics designed to alleviate acute and chronic pain. Among the most effective non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) is Dexketoprofen Trometamol. This fast-acting pain reliever has been extensively used in treating musculoskeletal pain, dental pain, and post-operative discomfort, providing relief without the high risk of dependency that accompanies some stronger painkillers.
In this blog, we will delve deep into the uses, benefits, and broader applications of Dexketoprofen Trometamol, particularly focusing on the 25 mg oral solution. We will also explore its role in the pharmaceutical industry in India and discuss why it has become a vital product for medicine manufacturers and suppliers in India.
What is Dexketoprofen Trometamol?
Dexketoprofen Trometamol is a potent NSAID used to relieve mild to moderate pain. It is the trometamol salt of dexketoprofen, which is the active enantiomer of ketoprofen. This drug works by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are compounds in the body responsible for causing inflammation, pain, and fever.
One of the standout qualities of Dexketoprofen Trometamol is its quick onset of action. Its oral formulation begins working within 30 minutes, making it a go-to option for fast pain relief. Due to its effectiveness and minimal side effects, it has found wide acceptance in the medical community.
Primary Uses of Dexketoprofen Trometamol
1.        Pain Management in Musculoskeletal Disorders
Dexketoprofen Trometamol is particularly effective in managing pain arising from musculoskeletal conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. These conditions often result in chronic pain, and NSAIDs like Dexketoprofen Trometamol play a crucial role in alleviating this discomfort by reducing inflammation at the source.
2.        Post-Operative Pain Relief
After surgeries, patients often experience significant pain, which can hinder recovery if not managed well. Dexketoprofen Trometamolâs ability to quickly reduce pain makes it an excellent choice for post-operative care, ensuring patients experience less discomfort and can recuperate more smoothly.
3.        Dental Pain
Dental pain, whether due to tooth extractions, cavities, or other dental procedures, can be extremely uncomfortable. Dentists often prescribe Dexketoprofen Trometamol for it's fast action and effectiveness in reducing dental-related discomfort.
4.        Dysmenorrhea (Menstrual Pain)
Many women suffer from severe menstrual cramps, which can severely impact their daily lives. Dexketoprofen Trometamol provides rapid relief, helping to alleviate cramps and associated symptoms such as back pain and headaches.
5.        Migraines
Migraines are known for their debilitating impact on individuals, with symptoms ranging from intense headaches to nausea and sensitivity to light. Dexketoprofen Trometamol has proven to be effective in managing migraine symptoms, offering quick relief from pain and associated discomforts.
Benefits of Dexketoprofen Trometamol
1.        Rapid Onset of Action
One of the standout features of Dexketoprofen Trometamol is its rapid onset of action. When taken in its oral solution form, it can provide pain relief in as little as 30 minutes. This makes it an ideal option for acute pain management.
2.        Effective Pain Relief
Dexketoprofen Trometamol is highly effective in managing various types of pain, including musculoskeletal pain, dental pain, and post-operative pain. It's ability to inhibit the production of prostaglandins ensures that inflammation and pain are kept in check.
3.        Minimized Side Effects
Compared to other NSAIDs, Dexketoprofen Trometamol is known for causing fewer gastrointestinal side effects. While no drug is entirely free from potential side effects, this medication is considered to have a safer profile when used under proper medical guidance.
4.        Versatility in Treatment
From migraines to dental pain, and from musculoskeletal pain to menstrual cramps, Dexketoprofen Trometamol has proven effective in a wide range of painful conditions. Its versatility makes it an essential tool in pain management for both acute and chronic conditions.
5.        Oral Solution Form for Ease of Administration
The 25 mg oral solution form of Dexketoprofen Trometamol is particularly convenient for patients who may have difficulty swallowing tablets. This form ensures rapid absorption, enhancing the quick relief that the drug provides.

Understanding the Long-Term Effects of Ulcerative Colitis
A chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that affects the colon (large intestine) and the rectum is called ulcerative colitis (UC). Many individuals get treatment to deal with their side effects, this medical condition can have lasting effects that affects many pieces of a person's life. The long term effects of the condition will be discussed in this article, with possible risk and the management techniques.
Effects of Chronic Inflammation
Inflammation over time in the colon causes long-term damage, which is one of the main concerns related to ulcerative colitis.
Risk of Colorectal Cancer: People who experienced UC for longer than 8 to 10 years are more likely to develop colorectal cancer due to ongoing inflammation of the colon.
Tissue Scarring: Prolonged inflammation can result in colon tissue scarring, which can lead to problems like strictures (colon constriction) and restrictive symptoms.
Severe Flare-ups: As UC progresses, a person's colon may enlarge rapidly and more frequently. This can result in challenges including toxic megacolon, a potentially fatal illness.
Effects on the Digestive Systems
Ulcerative colitis can cause major, long lasting changes to the digestive system.
Nutritional Deficiencies: Iron, calcium, and a lack of vitamin D can result from impaired nutrient caused by steady irritation and recurrent diarrhea.
Dehydration: UC patients frequently struggle with dehydration, especially during flare-ups, which can be set on by tireless diarrhea.
Changes in Bowel Function: Many UC patients could require a medical surgery to remove all or a part of their colon, which will modify their capacity to pass stool. The body's ability to control the digestion of water and supplements might be affected by this.
Systemic Health Improvement
Ulcerative colitis doesn't just affect the colon; it can also affect different regions of the body.
Joint pain (Joint Irritation): A great deal of people with UC experience joint inflammation, which brings side effects like joint inflammation.
Skin Conditions: UC can lead to skin issues like difficult red bumps known as erythema nodosum and ulcerative skin lesions called pyoderma gangrenosum.
Inflammation of the eye, like in uveitis and episcleritis, is more common in patients with ulcerative colitis.
Impact on the Brain and Heart
A constant sickness, for example, UC can negatively affect one's mental health.
Stress and Tension: Dealing with a condition with painful and unpleasant side effects that is unstable brings higher pressure and nervousness.
Depression: There is a higher possibility of creating depression because of the chronic nature of ulcerative colitis (UC) as well as expected limitations on everyday activity and interaction with others.
Body Image Issues: Certain people may have issues with their body image because of weight loss, actual look of their condition, or medical surgery, (for example, a colectomy or the requirement for a stoma).
Perspectives Affecting Quality of Life
An individual's personal satisfaction can be affected by UC in various areas of day to day existence.
Physical Restrictions: Exhaustion, continuous bowel movements, and pain during eruptions can cause limitations on actual work and create some issues for social or professional commitments.
Dietary Limitations: To control their side effects, many people with UC should stick to diets that reject explicit things that could cause eruptions.
Surgical Results: A colonoscopy, or the expulsion of the colon, might be important for specific UC patients at some point. This procedure can change a patient's bowel designs and require long lasting modifications.
Extended-Term Care and Therapy
Ulcerative colitis cannot be cured, long-term care can greatly enhance results.
Medication: Immunosuppressants, biologics, and anti-inflammatory meds are habitually used to reduce inflammation and treat side effects for an extended timeframe.
Continuous Monitoring: To follow the course of the condition and identify any possible issues, like colorectal disease, from the beginning, patients should have routine colonoscopies and other diagnostic testing.
Way of life Changes: Reducing pressure, eating a balanced diet, practising habitually, and stopping smoking are great ways of working on the side effects of ulcerative colitis (UC) and reducing its eruptions.
Don't forget to read our next article on''Ulcerative Colitis: Causes, Symptoms, and Key Factors."
There is something else to ulcerative colitis besides eruptions and side effect the board; it is a persistent sickness. Dr Nisarg patel best gastroenterologist in sids hospital surat, will give you the best advice and cure for your IBD issue. Patients and medical care experts can make better designs for decreasing complexities, upgrading personal satisfaction, and deflecting risks by having a better understanding of the disease's drawn out effects. Living with ulcerative colitis can be figured out how to consider a satisfying existence with the right care, checking, and lifestyle changes.

My dear, disabled refugees in a post-apocalyptic world carrying in their bodies surgically alchemical intervention that makes them able to harness elemental magic (with too many side-effects):
Zephyrus is a peregrine falcon, with severe apraxia at his wings as a results of the experimental nonconsensual treatment implanting the alchemical marks to his body. He harnesses the ability to summon and control flame at a pretty nasty cost to the quality of his overall health. Star is a stray black cat with a mutation giving her a split tail and hearing loss in her right ear. Due to the complexities of the experimental procedure and being emotionally vulnerable, Star's mental health is not the greatest to say lightly. She carries the ability of manipulating water and ice, the crystal pendant she is wearing helps to stabilize the potential unstable abnormalities of the alchemical side-effects by centering the magical energy to itâs core and dispersing it evenly through itâs structure. Star does not feel secure to even attempt activating her powers without it. The neurology of both of them (and all fellow victims/experiments/mutants) has been impaired as it has been tied to the alchemical elements new to their bodies, which causes frequent migraines, fatigue and spasms after using their powers.

Lasik Complications
I created this account to share my story with Lasik. I hope my experience informs others of the truth behind the Lasik industryâits deceptive marketing practices, medical negligence culture and hidden complication rates.
I got Wavefront Optimized Lasik in 2023 with the ex500 laser with an Ivy League faculty surgeon in the USA. My myopia was between -5.00 and -6.00 in both eyes beforehand. My astigmatism was minor and uncorrected beforehand, between -.25 and -.50. I actually didnât even know I had astigmatism before getting Lasik. Since that is a normal amount for most people, it is not noticeable or corrected. My prescription had been stable for over 3 years before proceeding with Lasik.
I have many complications after Lasik and it has been traumatic both physically and mentally. It is singlehandedly the most devastating thing to ever happen to me.
The surgeon should be discussing the risks with you in relation to your specific screening and eye health history during the initial consultation, but the problem is that many do not, rather they just send you a consent form after approving you as a candidate, without explaining why thoroughly. It is solely up to you to educate and inform yourself of the risks beforehand, but you are not an expert in the field so may not know what to look for in your own research.
Below are the things I wish I had known before going through with the procedure.
1) The risk of ectasia in relation to your individual screening results (corneal thickness, age, prescription, etc.). How corneal thickness impacts possibility of retreatment down the line if needed, how further treatment would greatly increase the risk of ectasia by further thinning the cornea. The risk is also very dependent on your current prescription and current corneal thickness. Higher prescriptions require more tissue removal.
2) Dry eye risk in relation to your screening. Explanation of how Lasik severs nerves which causes dry eye, risk of corneal neuralgia if nerves do not heal adequately. Explanation of how nerves never return to preoperative levels.
3) Loss of best achieved/corrected visual acuity and loss of contrast particularly at night due to pupil dilation.
4) Risk of starbursts/halos at night in relation to the patientâs pupil size vs. treatment zone.
5) Risk of under and overcorrection, and irregular astigmatism.
6) Explanation of what the Lasik flap is, scarring risk and permanent loss of corneal strength. Comparison of risks to other procedures: PRK and Smile.
7) Risk of floaters in relation to myopia, lattice degeneration, and risk of retinal detachment or early posterior vitreous detachment due to trauma caused by suction used during procedure.Â
8) Risk of rainbow glare due to laser pattern.
9) Explanation of how Lasik increases higher order aberrations which are uncorrectable through regular glasses/soft contacts and lead to visual side effects such as irregular starbursts, etc. There is no guaranteed fix--one can try topography guided retreatment, but it may not work. Scleral lenses can potentially correct but not cure.
10) Explanation of how Lasik makes cataract surgery harder to get if needed down the line. Patients getting Lasik should hold onto all previous eye records and topography scan for future cataract surgery. 11) Explanation of how Lasik leads to falsely low IOP measurements which may increase risk of undiagnosed glaucoma
Of these possible short-term and long-term risks, I currently have the following.
Rainbow glare, a rare side effect caused by the laser pattern. Usually transient over 2 years but not for all. Retreatment can fix it but cannot do due to post-Lasik dry eye syndrome and suspected corneal neuralgia.
Massive, irregular starbursts and halos at night, making night vision significantly poorer than before. I was told after the procedure during a second opinion consultation that I have larger than average dilated pupils, causing light to enter the untreated area at night which causes these visual disturbances. Only temporary pupil constriction drops can treat it, or risk topography-guided retreatment to widen the treatment zone, which may not work either. I'm not sure why I was approved for Lasik given my pupil size, but they told me nothing.
Diagnosed under correction, diagnosed worsened astigmatism after the procedure by .50 diopters in left eye
Diagnosed severe flap scarring
Diagnosed Higher order aberrations (HOAs). Spherical and coma in particular as shown by aberrometry. In only one eye I see diagonal streaks of lights on cars even during the day time, and ghosting at night making it hard to read subtitles, digital clocks, any text on dark screens (can no longer use my phone in dark mode, for example). I also see starbursts and halos at all times of day but they are massive at night. Again, HOAs cannot be easily corrected. Topography guided retreatment may or may not fix it, could make it worse, and scleral lenses may or may not help.
Floaters: I thought I had retinal detachment given all the floaters gradually appearing 1-3 months after Lasik, so I had an emergency appointment. The ophthalmologists cannot explain definitively why Lasik causes more floaters. I have been told that Lasik may just make them clearer. Another has said that the suction during the procedure stirs them up, and may damage the retina. Another has said that Lasik isnât âsupposedâ to cause floaters the way cataract surgery does. But no one could provide a concrete answer. However, studies show that Lasik can lead to early Posterior Vitreous Detachment and and Retinal Detachment is a known risk of Lasik, so damage to the retina caused by the suction makes the most sense. In the most recent laser information, all of these are now listed as side effect so I was lied to.
Post-Lasik dry eye and corneal neuralgia. My nerves may or may not regrow adequately over the course of 18 months. I am currently being treated with serum tears which cost around $300 (not covered by insurance) for a 3-month supply. Serum tears are made from your own blood. Another treatment option is IPL which can be around $450 a session (also not covered by insurance). Previously tried prescription Xiidra eyedrops which is around $60 a month with insurance. Before Lasik, I rarely used eye drops. I now use them daily alongside frequent painkillers, nerve medication (Gabapentin), warm compresses and icepacks. I was told I likely had Dry Eye Syndrome before Lasik by an outside eye doctor, but wasnât aware. I had thought I was becoming intolerant of contact lenses due to allergies. The ophthalmologist should have seen my dry eye during the Lasik screening, but if they did, they didnât say anything and still approved me as a candidate. Many doctors will also say that Lasik âonly causes dry eyes for the first few months,â but this is not true for many people. Some develop long-term or permanent dry eye syndrome and corneal neuralgia due to poor nerve regeneration. My life is very different than it was 8 months ago due to the daily discomfort and pain caused by dry eyes. This is the most devastating impact of Lasik so far. I would strongly advise against getting Lasik if you already have dry eye symptoms.
All this to say, I also knew around 10 people who got Lasik, PRK or Smile before I went through with it, and none had serious complications. Only one regretted the procedure due to regressing with his astigmatism a few years later. Another got Lasik in 2000 for -4.00 myopia and is still 20/20 today without side effects.
But given my side effects, I am shocked to be the â1 in 11.â I have wondered if the statistics are really accurate that most fare well. Even if I am the unlucky one, the 1 in 11, I would still argue that this probability is still way too high for such devastating risks.Â
When I did the procedure, I was mostly basing my faith on the people around me who had gotten it, rather than digging deeper into the research, data and stories of those with complications.
A report from the FDA in 2022 highlighted some statistics around Lasik side effects/complications and they are actually quite high despite the overall short-term satisfaction rate: https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/lasik/lasik-quality-life-collaboration-project#:~:text=Questionnaire%20with%20Filenames-,Study%20Results,halos)
The study also admits it doesnât have much data on long-term side effects, long-term risks and satisfaction.
In general, the marketing around Lasik is that it has the highest satisfaction rate in the world, and is a quick and casual miracle. Given that Lasik is an elective, expensive, privately paid procedure, I believe that this is why many clinics donât adequately discuss these risks or review the patientâs screening with them in detail.Â
I am now in a Lasik support group with a lot of people who have both similar and different issues from the procedure.
The consequences of Lasik are honestly the hardest thing I have ever gone through, so I want to make sure the next person considering Lasik is more well-informed than I was, and knows their risks in relation to their individual screening and health history. If I could go back in time, I wouldâve stuck with glasses and contacts.
All in all, the effects of Lasik on my physical and mental wellbeing have been truthfully devastating. My outcome and experience thus far is something for me to adapt to, cope with, accept and move forward from.Â
Thank you for reading.

Understanding Derma Fillers: A Comprehensive Guide
Derma Fillers, also known as Dermal Fillers, have revolutionized the world of aesthetic medicine. These non-surgical cosmetic treatments offer a quick and effective way to rejuvenate the skin, smooth out wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. But what exactly are derma fillers, and how do they work?
Derma Fillers are injectable substances used to fill in wrinkles, fine lines, and hollow areas in the face. They can also be used to enhance the lips, cheeks, and other facial features, providing a more youthful and refreshed appearance. The primary ingredient in most derma fillers is hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the skin that retains moisture and adds volume. Other types of fillers may contain calcium hydroxyapatite, poly-L-lactic acid, or polymethylmethacrylate beads.
The procedure for receiving Dermal Fillers is relatively simple and minimally invasive. A qualified practitioner injects the filler into the targeted areas using a fine needle. The process usually takes around 30 minutes, depending on the number of areas being treated. Most patients experience little to no downtime, with some mild swelling or bruising that typically resolves within a few days.
How to Remove Derma Fillers from the Face: A Comprehensive Guide
While Derma Fillers are a popular and effective way to enhance facial features and rejuvenate the skin, there are instances when individuals may want to remove them. Whether due to dissatisfaction with the results, complications, or simply a change in aesthetic preferences, removing derma fillers is a process that requires careful consideration and professional intervention.
1. Consulting a Professional:
The first step in removing Derma Fillers is to consult with a qualified and experienced medical professional. This could be the same practitioner who performed the initial procedure or another specialist in cosmetic treatments. During the consultation, the practitioner will evaluate the type of filler used, the areas treated, and any specific concerns or complications.
2. Understanding the Filler Type:
The method of removal largely depends on the type of filler used. Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, such as Juvederm and Restylane, are the most common and can be dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase. Non-HA fillers, such as those made from calcium hydroxyapatite (Radiesse) or poly-L-lactic acid (Sculptra), cannot be dissolved and may require alternative approaches.
3. Using Hyaluronidase:
For HA fillers, hyaluronidase is injected into the areas where the filler is present. This enzyme breaks down hyaluronic acid, allowing the body to absorb and eliminate it naturally. The effects of hyaluronidase are usually noticeable within 24-48 hours, and additional treatments may be necessary to achieve complete removal. It is essential to have this procedure performed by a trained professional to avoid complications and ensure the desired outcome.
4. Alternative Removal Methods:
For non-HA fillers, removal can be more challenging. In some cases, the filler may gradually break down and be absorbed by the body over time. However, if immediate removal is necessary, surgical excision may be required. This involves a minor surgical procedure to remove the filler material manually. This method carries higher risks and potential for scarring, so it is typically considered a last resort.
5. Managing Expectations and Risks:
It is crucial to have realistic expectations and understand the risks associated with filler removal. Potential side effects can include swelling, bruising, and infection. A thorough discussion with the practitioner about the potential outcomes and risks is essential before proceeding with the removal process.
In conclusion, removing Derma Fillers from the face is a complex procedure that should always be handled by a qualified professional. By understanding the type of filler used and exploring the appropriate removal methods, individuals can achieve their desired results safely and effectively. Whether using hyaluronidase for HA fillers or considering surgical options for non-HA fillers, professional guidance and care are paramount to ensure a successful outcome.

The Dark Side of Beauty Websites
Unveiling the Harmful Impacts
In the digital age, beauty websites wield immense influence over how individuals perceive themselves and others. While these platforms can provide valuable tips and product insights, they also harbor a myriad of negative impacts that often go unnoticed. From underage usage and misleading information to perpetuating unrealistic beauty standards and promoting the misuse of products, the darker facets of beauty websites deserve critical examination.
**Underage Use and Vulnerability**
One of the most concerning aspects of beauty websites is their accessibility to underage users. Preteens and even younger children are increasingly drawn to these platforms, seeking advice on skincare, makeup, and fashion. While some guidance may be harmless, exposure to complex beauty routines and product endorsements can lead to premature concerns about appearance and self-worth. Moreover, the pressure to conform to adult beauty standards at a young age can result in self-esteem issues and unrealistic expectations.
According to 3 different POVs It reveals 3 different variety kinds of answers,
According to Gwen, she reveals that it is very common, especially in public schools, skincares seems to be the daily life topic and activities, Uma said that we should only use skincare at the appropriate age (12-13) years old or after puberty because little kids don't need skincare. Meanwhile, for Maurene's POV she believes that some areas that have experienced the phenomenon with preteens, are dealing with skincare at a very young age and because of social media on products including colorful packaging and the influence of beauty influencers.Â
**Misleading Information**
Beauty websites often tout miraculous transformations through products or procedures, presenting them as universally effective without adequate scientific backing. Misleading claims about the benefits of certain ingredients or treatments can lead consumers to spend money on products that may not deliver promised results or, worse, could be harmful. The lack of regulation and oversight in this digital space allows misinformation to proliferate unchecked, potentially endangering the health and well-being of users who trust these sources.
Maurene believes that, some advertisement are bringing bad impacts toward the wrong audience, because most preteens are not fully aware to what the skincare their using like chemical reaction or irritation and it's the worse scenario when you advertise a products and it reaches the wrong audience, Gwen said that they are trying to achieve that standards, because it is not needed in daily life, especially the campaign persuades the buyers due to marketing. Uma said that Kids these days are looking at social media seeing other girls have clear skin and no acne and they thrive to want their skin to look "perfect" but it's all actually filters and no one actually has "perfect" or "imperfect" skin, the negative impact is their spreading lies and insecurities
**Perpetuating Unrealistic Beauty Standards**
Perhaps the most pervasive issue with beauty websites is their role in perpetuating unrealistic beauty standards. From flawless skin to perfectly contoured features, these platforms often promote a narrow definition of beauty that is unattainable for most people. Filters, airbrushing, and digital manipulation further distort perceptions of reality, creating an unattainable ideal that can lead to dissatisfaction with one's natural appearance. This constant bombardment of idealized imagery can erode self-confidence and contribute to a culture of comparison and insecurity. According to Gwen, Beauty standards are very big, and it impacts teen life. It's because they are trapped in stereotypes of perfect girls. Maurene said, because of social media skincares is one of the teens that sometimes puts their eye on because skincare is a tool that can break you or make you but a false use of skincare can hurt you because you never know the chemical reaction to your skin. Uma said it is too big, but a waste of time.
**Misuse of Beauty Products**
The endorsement and promotion of beauty products on websites can sometimes encourage their misuse or overuse. Influencers and advertisers often highlight products as must-haves without adequately addressing their potential side effects or proper usage guidelines. This can lead consumers to experiment with products in ways that are unsafe or ineffective, risking allergic reactions, skin damage, or other health complications. The pressure to achieve quick results can override the importance of responsible product usage, putting consumers at risk of harm. According to my mom and sister, it is needed to search deeper in your skin types to prevent breakout or skin irritation, especially when their first audience was a pre teen first-timer on beauty products.
**Conclusion**
While beauty websites offer a wealth of information and inspiration, their negative impacts cannot be ignored. From influencing underage users and disseminating misleading information to perpetuating unrealistic beauty standards and promoting the misuse of products, these platforms wield significant power over how individuals perceive and care for themselves. Moving forward, greater transparency, responsible content creation, and consumer education are essential to mitigate these harms and promote a healthier, more inclusive beauty culture. As consumers, being mindful of the sources we trust and the messages we internalize is crucial in navigating the complex landscape of beauty in the digital age.
It is must remembered that we must not normalize this problem, especially as it can impact and ruin our childhood, feeling insecure and different perspectives about beauty in future generations. Being a teen is hard in this society and we can probably change the perspective of the skin care itself and bring it as a healthy POV towards skincare.

I'm new to your blog and not familiar with Niyo, but I love Mandricardo a lot and enjoy OC/canon ships so. tell me everything đ
Hoooo buddy!! Lucky for you I just had to rewrite Niyo's bio for a project so allow me to throw it at you if you wish to read. It's a bit condensed (still long lol) but this is the general overview of both of them. Any nitty-gritty or specific events aren't here yet or are works in progress but I can def ramble about if asked.
But without further ado~
Niyo, a former Clock Tower student, was recruited into Chaldea to be a Medbay and Greenhouse assistant due to her family being relatively well-known apothecaries. But when the time came to fill out slots for Master candidates, she was tested and had excellent potential. Kind to some, cruel to others and indifferent to the rest. At first, she may come off as aloof, uninterested, or even outright mean depending on the person. But once she warms up to those around her, you can see her more charming and laid-back side that people tend to enjoy. However, those on her bad side will most certainly know, and should watch their food and drinks around her as she is not against poisoning those who cross her. She desires to be a "normal" person, but knows that isn't possible as a magus. Still, she is a better person than she gives herself credit for. Things left in this woman's care will most certainly be taken care of as she has an innate, almost natural drive to see things flourish.
The Mine family originated from Japan and immigrated to Poland when their circuits first began to develop. They became acquainted with many other mages upon their move and joined a restoration project when one of them discovered the old remains of a phantasmal beast/species. A small group would work on this project so as to not attract the attention of the Mageâs Association. One of the members was of the Zemlupus family, chosen for their ability of understanding and hunting wild beasts of phantasmal nature. The means in which they would revive the beast was to take its remains and combine it with parts of other animals to create a chimera of sorts. Most of the animals used were primarily the parts of goats and sheep. They would be successful in bringing life to the creature. However, its existence was short-lived and agonizing before collapsing and ultimately perishing. Satisfied enough with simply accomplishing this, the group would then begin to destroy their workshop and any traceable evidence and any notes that werenât destroyed would be locked away.
Despite this, the head of the Mine family at the time would take a piece of the beast corpse and insert such into their body with the intent of creating their own crest as well as being gifted a ruby Azoth dagger by the head of the Zemlupus family at the time. Because of the effects this would have on their body, most of their time and studies went into stabilizing the crest and combating its side effects with plant-based medicines and their own personal mystic codes. They would be successful with this in due time, but their focus had become cemented as apothecaries who make and sell to other mages as well. While the family would have many sons, the crest takes better to daughters. To ensure the child is ready for the crest, they would often have the mothers hold it while carrying their child. While this is a risky procedure that sometimes results in the motherâs death after childbirth, it does work for the child to carry on the crest and the familyâs legacy.Â
Some generations later, Iwo Mine is the head of the family with his only daughter Niyo, who as of right now, is the peak in terms of circuit quality the family has produced. At a young age, she was caring and very curious about magecraft. Her father would show great care for her because of this and would task her with tending to the few sheep they had. She did exponentially well at the task she was given and thus, he decided to introduce her to a certain experiment as a lesson at a young age that would prepare her for the family crest. This experiment involved using one of Niyo's lambs as sacrifice to harden her mentality, that she would later have to consume and fall ill due to her crest effects on their bloodline rejecting the consumption of lamb meat.
This traumatized the girl for a time and dissuaded her from wanting to continue the familyâs craft and as she grew older, slowly opened her eyes to some of the cruelties of mage society and she'd gain the desire to live a normal life. All to her fatherâs dismay.
It wasn't until some time in her middle school days did Niyo meet a boy her age that introduced her to many people and gave her a small taste of what it's like to be a normal kid. This boy's name is Casimir Canmore, and upon finding they were both mages, the two became best friends and reinvigorated each other's desires to continue magecraft while also restoring pieces of their hope in other mages, moving forward with the belief that if they had met each other they could meet other like minded people. They'd study together and help each other the best they could in their respective fields, Niyo focusing on Botany and her family's work, while also taking a particular liking to making bounded fields and various types of poisons and their antidotes. She even took to increasing her own poison tolerance levels, pushing the boundaries of human limitation.Â
When the time came, the two enrolled in the Clock Tower and things continued as such until Niyo encountered some scouts from Chaldea. Chaldeaâs goal appeared to be virtuous and in line with what the two had hoped for. And so, Niyo would apply and be accepted due to notable recognition from her familyâs business with Chaldeaâs peers. Before her departure, she and Casimir would have one last meeting where he would give her a special pendant that he claims is a good luck charm. Niyo, in turn, would promise that when they met again, she would become a person he could be proud to call her friend.
After arriving at Chaldea, Niyo was originally assigned two jobs: tend to the greenhouse and assist in the Medbay. This was until they started testing the other staff membersâ ability to Rayshift, in which Niyo possessed excellent compatibility. While still having her former duties, Niyo now had the added responsibility of being a Master candidate.Â
Things play out much the same from here on with minor differences. Niyo's original goal for completing the seven Singularities was so she could fulfill her promise to Casimir and meet him again. A selfish goal yes, but along the journey she grew to being more open to others while letting her innate caring nature to flourish outside of simply caring for her plants. One Servant she formed a very close bond to was Robin Hood. His general nature and disposition was very soothing to her and their methods of combat worked well with each other. Some could argue they were partners, but it has never been denied nor confirmed. But it is known that Niyo had strong feelings for the Archer.
Similarly plays out during the Epic of Remnants until Shimosa, which seemed to particularly have an affect on her mental health as she would actively try to avoid contact with some servants, specifically Houzouin Inshun.
As the Singularities and Remnants come to a close, Niyo has to abruptly say goodbye to many of her servants who she was very close to, but begins to learn more about the members of Team A. She had only seen them a few times in passing or hearing about some in her time at Clock Tower, but never got a proper chance to speak to them. Even though she was bitter about not being given credit for her efforts in the Singularities, the woman was excited to meet Team A and pass the torch to them. She had even planned to bake them a cake to celebrate them waking up. But as fate would have it, that would not be the case as they were now her enemies and the Earth was now pruned.Â
Upon their descent into the Void Space, Niyo entered a coma for most of the three weeks they were there, only to wake up and return to the surface where three months had passed and humanity was gone again. Though fatigued, she is now fueled with rage towards the Crypters, more so after hearing Kadoc's speech in the first Lostbelt. This leads her to be much more aggressive towards him than the others, though it should be noted their crest and magecraft are also at theoretical odds with each other.
As they continue through the Lostbelts, Noyo seems to get more and more tired as they go through. She continues onwards thanks to Napoleon's encouragement. As a Servant who is summoned to fulfill the wishes of others, his words gave her hope for the future and the strength to face the tomorrow. But over time, due to the lack of the support from certain servants that she did during the singularities, her mental health only begins to wane more.
During the Ooku Singularity, both Niyo and Goredolf are taken by Kama as the "twin Tokugawas." It takes a moment, but Niyo is eventually recruited back to Chaldea thanks to the now summoned Kiara Sessyoin. But before this can happen, Niyo admits that she's tired of having to prune existences and is tired of being a hero. That Kama's offer in the Ooku was admittedly enticing and that she particularly fell for it because of the freedom that was offered, with the gift of unconditional endless love. In the end however, the story must go on, and so, she must continue on. This begs the question afterwards, what is she fighting for truly?Â
Upon her arrival in the fifth Lostbelt, Niyo is filled with a lot of anxiety but is pleased to see some familiar faces (Drake and Jason) as well as new ones with refreshing auras. As her new party members inform her about those previously there, Niyo's heart clenches at how familiar many of the descriptions sound. In the previous Lostbelts, she was filled with uncertainty with those she had formed a close bond with not answering her calls, but it would appear that they were all here in this Lostbelt, waiting and preparing things for her arrival. She was never really alone, never forgotten.
When there was a moment to spare, Niyo spent time with Mandricardo as he was easy to talk to and seemed to (although unintentionally) be very good at soothing and comforting her. The two talked a lot and quickly grew feelings for one another. This would lead to their initial departure all the more heartbreaking, and traumatizing on Niyo's end. He had saved her not because she asked him of that, not because he was required to do so as a Heroic Servant, but because she had become someone irreplaceably important to him and heâd honor that bond in the best way he knew how: fighting. But she promises to not let his efforts be in vain and continues on to face Kirschtaria.
Once in Olympus and facing the leader of the Crypters, Niyo is surprised to find that she doesnât completely hate Kirschtaria like she thought she would. If anything, the truth that he holds her in such high regards and that he held good intentions for humanity all along was more shocking for her. This led to the unfortunate frustration that while she disagreed with the means he took to reach the peak of his dream, she couldn't help but lament and wish for a time when they couldâve been friends, because in a strange way, Wodime reminded her of Casimir. And that Wodime is someone Casimir would have liked to meet. This Lostbelt wasnât entirely about pruning existences this time; it also highlighted the unfairness of the world of mages and ideals.
After returning from the Atlantic Lostbelt, Niyo is able to resummon Mandricardo, as her own personal Servant rather than under the Fate System at Chaldea. She was ecstatic to be with him again, but disheartened to learn he could not recount their time in the Atlantic Lostbelt. This made her question if she loved him for who he was or what he did for her. In the end, she decided that out of not wanting him to compare himself to his Atlantis counterpart, Niyo would not tell him of the event for as long as she could, and at the same time, to also confirm her own feelings. Luckily for them both, falling in love with each other again came naturally. Niyoâs personal fears are proven wrong as in due time Mandricardo vows to be better than his other self and not leave her, officially cementing themselves as lovers and the emotional support that the other needs. Niyo becomes very protective of the Rider, even sealing off his Errant Blow skill which self-sacrifices himself when at low health, and he in turn wants nothing more than her safety and happiness, picking up his makeshift sword to fight for her and for them.
Niyoâs story for Fate/Grand Order is ever-growing and changing so there is much more to come in the future; however she does have another counterpart. In an alternate timeline, a Holy Grail War is taking place. Here, Niyo and Casimir are some years older and starting their professions. The main difference here is that Niyo has a newborn son with an unnamed man but keeps this secret from her father in hopes sheâll be able to raise the boy with the choice if he wants to be magus or not. This doesnât stay a secret forever though as once her father finds out, he presents her with the choice of him taking her son and making her life significantly harder, or participate in the upcoming Grail War and earn the right to raise her son.
Niyo goes along and participates in the war, summoning Mandricardo as the warâs Rider. Casimir follows her into the war, summoning Julius Caesar as Caster. Much like in Grand Order, Niyo and Mandricardo become very close to each other. Niyo quickly caught on to his lack of confidence and encouraged him. This encourages Mandricardo to vow to protect and serve her the best he could, as a proper knight would his lady. In doing so, they have many opportunities to bond. With them seeing each otherâs charms and quirks, they slowly but surely fall for each other in the war.Â
With unquestioning backing from his master, Mandricardo becomes the groupâs strength, Caesar as the tactician, and Niyo and Casimir as support, the team makes it rather far in the war. Their relationship becomes far enough to the part where they become comfortable enough to share what they would wish for. The Masters go first, admitting they have no wish but just wanted to stay together to ensure neither of them died. All so they could keep the little family that they had. Caesar, admiring Niyoâs drive to want to be with her son, makes him want to wish for a second chance with his own.But through his own development in the war, he comes to the conclusion that there is no changing the past and to live in the present and for the future, giving his aid to the masters.Â
Meanwhile, Mandricardo originally wanted to wish for the chance to wield Durendal. But after getting to know them all, falling in love with his Master, and wanting to see her survive and flourish, heâd later admit to her that he wishes for a second chance where he could continue to protect Niyo and the family that she created while secretly hoping that she would allow him in.
Despite the other cunning masters and powerful servants, Team Rider would emerge victorious and the wish fell to Mandricardo. So with the help of the overseer and many other connections, Mandricardo was given a second chance at life, no longer as a Servant but actually human now. He would take the time to travel and reflect before rejoining his former Masterâs side to which she welcomed him with open arms and allowing him to finally see the child he had also been fighting for and eventually tying the knot once everything was finalized and situated. And with that, the two have a happy ending they so thoroughly deserve. Also, Casimir and Mandricardoâs (stolen) steed are there too.

THE KOKYTANS.
Blue-skinned and translucent, all of their organs are visible from the outside. They are all 5'0" max, aside from one-- Ollvrox. That one in particular is barely under six feet but this is considered a mutation, one that finds them outcasted amongst the enslaved subjects under Maiz's reign. Ollvrox is, also unfortunately, the Eldest Living Kokytan that remembers life before her invasion and subsequent conquest. They are 60.
The Kokytans have no concept of gender nor sex, as they have no outer or inner genitalia. They all look the same, more or less. They don't discern or understand differences aside from genetic mutations. B.M. (Before Maiz), if one was found to have a mutation, they were either exiled from mainstream society (becoming the scientist/medic caste) or they were studied (modern concepts of medicine and technology came out of these practices).
When Maiz crash landed, there were thousands upon thousands of them. During the siege, that number dipped drastically. After they surrendered to her, the population recovered, but the numbers were never the same. If they weren't dying because they performed their new duties incorrectly or they didn't address her properly, it was due to botched operations and forced medical procedures. Around this time, a hundred Kokytans were sacrificed, tortured and killed in order for Maiz to master her new technique: COLD INSTINCT.
The Kokytans are a telepathic Race. Although they have mouths (which would suggest a digestive tract, and therefore a stomach), they don't speak with it. Their ki technique allows them to bind themselves to one another ala hive mind, and track each other as well as 'hijack' another Kokytan's body if they sense one of them is in danger. Due to many of the original Kokytans dying off during Maiz's siege, it's unknown whether this was natural, brought out because of evolution, or if it was a side effect of the experiments under her orders. None of them would be able to tell you. To make things worse, many of them have abandoned their old ways and their scientific minds are now geared towards violence and war. Regardless-- their thoughts are charged by their ki, and they can project them into their target's head*.
Kokytans have cerulean-colored blood and purple organs. Therefore, their veins, nervous system, brain, etc are all varying shades of purple. To be frank, the Kokytans are an atrocious, hideous Race without the charm of being/looking humanoid. Their eyes are small, beady and luminous under low lighting, their teeth shrink with each generation, growing more uneven and their lips are salmon pink-- cracked, and dry. Their heads are elongated and squid-like. They have hollow cheekbones. Three to four fingers on each hand with no opposable thumbs (the flesh underneath their fingertips can be adhesive to grab onto objects easier). Modern Kokytans have sturdy, strong shoulders and resilient arms but the rest of their strange bodies are terribly squishy. Despite Maiz's best efforts, the Kokytans are just not made for fighting. They are useful in other ways though, and she mainly employs them for their scientific and technological know-how, their espionage potential, as bodyguards, grunt/foot soldiers, as a display of power or force, etc.
BONUS:
While Planet Kokytus wasn't the first planet she ravaged (that honor goes to Frieza Planet #699999), it was the first she conquered. This feat was achieved at the ripe age of 13.
Planet Kokytus is a crystalline wonderland of frost, ice and cold (Think of Krypton's Fortress of Solitude except it's everywhere). Amazingly like Earth, they have four seasons but they're all variations of coldness. One could say they experience different degrees of an eternal winter. Water is present on the planet as well. Since most of Kokytus is frozen, the water underneath is either clean or holds pollutants (from the partial Genocide Maiz wrought upon them. This remains a current problem as the planet has underwent a bit of a climate crisis because of her; there is slightly less ice and the mountains are melting slowly . . . .)**
**Water filtration systems were built. A.M. (After Maiz) Kokytans fell ill and got sick because of the water. The Kokytans that came after developed robust immune systems as a result of this.
A decade after she asserted herself as the High Queen of Kokytus, a rogue Kokytan buckled under the weight of her tyranny and broke through the carefully crafted hive mind to try to kill her. The would-be murder weapon was similar to a polearm. The attempt backfired spectacularly, even though she was caught off guard by the 'outburst'. After the individual was subdued, she had them cooked. She never ate a Kokytan again (or drank their blood) after that incident-- "they taste disgusting. How disappointing."
*Their ki allows them to supercharge their feelings and thoughts. Since the Earthly definition of emotions are "the physical way feelings are expressed", it would be entirely accurate to say their ki technique is essentially that-- applied feelings/emotions weaponized as telepathy. They can use that ability to 'read' thoughts but that's a misnomer; what they're really doing is reading ki signature. If there's an intent or feeling behind it, best believe a Kokytan can and will pick it up.

Road 96: Mile 0 and the Complications of Life
Road 96 is a 2021 video game letting you experience the thrill of hitchhiking across a fictional country in 1996. The journey begins from your goal to escape Petriaâs authoritarian regime. You will meet different characters and make choices with potentially drastic consequences while discovering secrets along the way. The way the game unfolds is procedurally generated to a degree. By the end of the game, you will have experienced the journeys of several teenagers. Your choices culminate over time â meaning that your story can change from play-through to play-through. In the two years since, the developers at DigixArt released a new game expanding the world, subtitled âMile 0.â
Road 96: Mile 0
The game is a prequel to the previously mentioned critically acclaimed video game, which released April 4th, 2023. It gives you a glimpse into how the nation of Petria was before the events of the main game. It also sets up some of the characters you run into further down the line. If you are looking for a fun and immersive narrative adventure game with a retro vibe, Road 96: Mile 0 might be for you. In the original game, you followed a series of random teens on a road trip to escape Petria. The plot of this prequel however focuses heavily on the daughter of Petriaâs Minister of Oil, Zoe Muller. It follows her life right before she embarked on her journey to escape Petria and introduces a brand-new character. Well, brand new to the world of Road 96, anyway.
Kaito
Kaito is a teen living in the less-privileged side in Petriaâs most luxurious gated community by the name of White Sands. He is best friends with Zoe, living in the posh side of town alongside influential individuals like President Tyrak and Sonya Sanchez. Both him and his parents are workers for the city, doing various work as needed by the city and residents. Kaito had to deal directly with the consequences of Tyrakâs rule due his past in Colton City. This led to a more rebellious perspective on his future in Petria. As a result, Kaito tries to challenge Zoeâs beliefs and show her the reality of the country.
Also, Kaito is a character brought over from DigixArtâs first game âLost in Harmony.â His design looks a lot better in this one too. Kaitoâs journey in Road 96: Mile 0 ultimately tests his friendship with Zoe and his own values.

Gameplay in Road 96: Mile 0
Due to Mile 0 being a prequel, it seems a given that this entry borrows some gameplay and mechanics from Road 96. This effectively is the half of the game where you explore the world in first person. It also ends up being where much of the story develops. On top of this, players alternate between the roles of Zoe and Kaito throughout the narrative. Zoe was one of the protagonists you met on your journey in Road 96 as a nameless teenager.
Is there any new gameplay in this sequel?
The game involves a mixture of narrative and musical track-based skating segments, where players will have to make choices that affect the story and the fate of Zoe and Kaito. The musical segments can be an intense experience at times, putting players into the inner worlds of the two protagonists. These skating segments occur in a near-cyclical nature.
You ride and dodge your way through some beautiful psychedelic tracks at the end of each major story event. The moment-to-moment action of these sections is a bit reminiscent of such mobile gaming titles as Subway Surfers or Temple Run, with more production value. However, I found myself very engaged during these moments. To the extent that I dedicated an extra two hours after I completed the story to unlock the achievement for attaining S+ rank on every track. There may be a chance it is concerning that it took me that much time to achieve this. The gameplay here might be a tad simplistic if youâre intently familiar with that style of game. But I found it to be engaging, and even challenging at times.
âThe rides are designed to be highly replayable â there is a score system that shows your precision like rhythm games, but also some narrative choices and hidden shortcuts. But donât worry, for the more chilled players, you can skip those rides so that youâre not blocked from story progression.â - From âRoad 96: Mile 0 â How the New Psychedelic Rides Work,â by Yoan Fanise, Creative Director at DigixArt.
Petria and Its People
The prequel features a few of the colourful individuals you met during Road 96. This gives a chance to experience another perspective of the unstable country. The world feels a lot more alive from this point of view. Your character has more of a place in the world. This might be because your playable characters have an identity and voice actor this time around. For the record, they still opt to not voice the character you actively play. The first playable character Zoe only has voiced dialogue during cut-scenes, musical segments, or when playing as Kaito.
I would argue that it helps with the flow of gameplay. It means you donât have to listen every line of dialogue you already read out and selected. But Road 96: Mile 0 is a story about the conflict and growth between two well-meaning friends. Because of that, the conversations can feel a bit awkward at times.
Whatâs changed
Is this a problem?
*Spoilers until "Is it worth a try?"*
Akin to the original title, Mile 0 offers the impression that your choices can have a significant impact on the outcome of your story. While this is true to an extent, it only really results in about three or four different endings. Only two endings also have any major difference in their result. Zoeâs choices will either drive her closer to Petriaâs regime, or further against it. During your time with Kaito, his choices will either push him into becoming a violent revolutionary with the Black Brigades, or more of a freethinker who simply wants to escape with his family. So yes, the narrative is much more linear than you might expect.
The game suffers from a bit of predetermination due to being a prequel. TVTropes speaks on this issue where prequels are forced to adhere to the canon of the original story. This results in actions from characters that might seem unrealistic, or way too coincidental. You might recall that Zoe is on her own by the time you meet her in Road 96. Due to this, it felt clear that her friendship with Kaito was fated to halt in some form or another. Some of this conflict between friends felt a bit forced as well for story purposes.
In the beginning of Mile 0, Zoe is already a tad checked out from her life in Petria. She doesnât have a great relationship with her dad, and her mom left years ago. Because of this, Kaito ends up being the only anchor in Zoeâs life that she can rely on. This wonderfully sets up a plot event later in the game when Kaito goes against Zoeâs wish to escape Petria with his family, for their safety. It seems perfectly believable that Kaito, a rebellious but loving teen, would be slightly more concerned with his own well-being than his friendâs â especially considering she lives such a privileged life in White Sands. Even if it isnât all sunshine and rainbows for her time there.
Themes
The story evokes a sense of regret, hope, and inevitability. It seems almost obvious that Kaito and Zoe werenât meant to last together in Petria. Zoeâs elite status makes her a hot target if she were to ever go on the run, and Kaitoâs family isnât well-equipped to be on the countryâs most-wanted list. The overarching narrative of the game follows Kaitoâs hope to teach Zoe the truth about Petriaâs corrupt government. Throughout my play-through, I consistently made choices that drove Zoe to become a more freethinking person. However, Zoe ends up making some choices at the end of the game that are impossible to change. Due to how open-minded I chose Zoe to act throughout the story, it felt a bit outlandish for her to take such drastic action during the gameâs closing chapter.
All Zoe was really looking for was someone who could understand and support her. But when Kaito abandoned Zoe in White Sands with just a letter, it drove her a bit past the breaking point.
So, is Road 96: Mile 0 worth a try?
If anything I wrote here seemed appealing to you, Iâd recommend trying it out. If you know anything about me, you know Iâm a sucker for narrative games of any kind. But this takes the narrative aspects of Road 96 a step further with much more fleshed out characters. Unlike its predecessor, Road 96: Mile 0 isnât available on Xbox Game Pass at the time of writing. There is a notably low cost to entry, though. The title launched at well under twenty dollars, even offering a special discounted launch price to some of those who played the original game.
Conclusion
There were places where the experience could have been better, despite my obviously positive feelings. The game stayed a bit small-scoped with the lives of Zoe and Kaito. Donât mistake my words here, I loved the entire time spent with these two characters. But it all feels like it could have added up to a bit more. It would have added to the overarching narrative and gameplay if they went more in-depth on how these two survived having to live in a place like White Sands. Kaito was a great character throughout the game. His choices and general demeanour throughout the narrative felt very in-line with a teen in his position.
It would help immensely to expand on some gameplay narrative sections. This could tangibly mean adding stealth segments, or slightly more intricate puzzles. Gameplay sections that provide a bit more meaning to the first-person exploration side of the game would make a much more engaging experience. Even with unchanged gameplay, they could have gone more in-depth with a lengthier story overall. This obviously wasnât feasible due to requiring a bigger budget. The main gripe I noticed so far online is that some actions from these characters feel a bit out of place. I wouldnât say I necessarily agree. Audiences werenât given enough time to spend with Zoe and Kaito. If they were, it would have given DigixArt the chance to really set up the personalities and tendencies of these characters in a believable way.

Does acupuncture work for back pain?
Back pain is a common condition that affects millions of people worldwide. It can be caused by a variety of factors, including muscle strain, ligament injury, disc herniation, and arthritis. While there are many conventional treatments for back pain, such as medication, physical therapy, and surgery, many people also seek alternative therapies like acupuncture.
Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese practice that involves the insertion of thin needles into specific points on the body. It is based on the belief that disruptions in the flow of energy, or qi, can lead to pain and illness. By inserting needles into specific acupoints, acupuncturists aim to restore the balance of qi and promote healing.
How does acupuncture work for back pain?
The exact mechanism of acupuncture is not fully understood, but it is thought to work by stimulating the release of endorphins and other neurotransmitters that have pain-relieving effects. It may also modulate the activity of the central nervous system, which can influence pain processing and transmission.
Is acupuncture effective for back pain?
Numerous clinical studies have investigated the efficacy of acupuncture for back pain, with mixed but promising results. A 2018 meta-analysis of 39 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) found that acupuncture provided statistically significant pain relief compared to sham acupuncture or no treatment. The analysis also indicated that acupuncture was more effective than usual care interventions, such as medication or physical therapy.
Another RCT, published in JAMA Internal Medicine in 2012, compared acupuncture, sham acupuncture, and conventional therapy (medication and exercise) for chronic low back pain. The results demonstrated that acupuncture provided superior pain relief and functional improvement compared to sham acupuncture and conventional therapy. Additionally, the benefits of acupuncture persisted even after the treatment was discontinued.
While these studies suggest that acupuncture may be effective for back pain, it is important to note that the placebo effect may play a role in its effectiveness. The use of sham acupuncture, which involves the insertion of needles into non-acupuncture points or using non-penetrating needles, helps to control for this effect. However, determining the true efficacy of acupuncture remains challenging due to the subjective nature of pain perception and the difficulties in conducting double-blind trials.
What are the potential benefits and considerations of acupuncture for back pain?
One of the advantages of acupuncture is its relatively low risk of adverse effects compared to pharmaceutical interventions or surgical procedures. Acupuncture is generally well-tolerated, with the most common side effects being minor bruising or bleeding at the needle insertion sites. It can be a suitable option for individuals who cannot tolerate or prefer to avoid medications.
Moreover, acupuncture treatments are often individualized, taking into account the unique characteristics and needs of each patient. Acupuncturists may assess factors such as the location, severity, and duration of the pain, as well as the patientâs overall health and constitution. This personalized approach can contribute to a more holistic and patient-centered treatment experience.
However, it is important to recognize that not all individuals may experience the same degree of pain relief from acupuncture. Factors such as the underlying cause of back pain, the chronicity of the condition, and individual variability can influence treatment outcomes. Additionally, the availability and quality of acupuncturists may vary, highlighting the importance of seeking trained and licensed practitioners.

Conclusion
Acupuncture appears to be a promising treatment option for back pain, offering potential benefits with relatively low risks. Clinical evidence suggests that acupuncture can provide significant pain relief and functional improvement, although further research is needed to fully understand its mechanisms and optimize treatment protocols. As an alternative therapy, acupuncture should be considered as part of a comprehensive approach to managing back pain, in conjunction with conventional treatments, lifestyle modifications, and other interventions tailored to the individualâs needs.

Full Details About Methoxsalen
Methoxsalen is a naturally occurring furocoumarin compound found in several plants, such as Ammi majus (Umbelliferae), and in smaller amounts in other plants like celery, parsley, and figs. It is commonly used in combination with ultraviolet A (UVA) light therapy to treat various skin conditions.
Methoxsalen USP
Here are the full details about methoxsalen:
Medical Uses: Methoxsalen is primarily used for its photoactive properties in a treatment known as PUVA therapy (psoralen plus ultraviolet A). It is used to treat certain skin disorders, including:
Psoriasis: A chronic autoimmune skin condition characterized by red, scaly patches of skin.
Vitiligo: A disorder where the skin loses its natural color in patches.
Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma: A type of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma that affects the skin.
Mechanism of Action: Methoxsalen works by becoming activated when exposed to UVA light. Upon absorption of UVA light, it forms covalent crosslinks with DNA, which interferes with DNA replication and inhibits cell division in the skin. This process is thought to help control the abnormal skin cell growth seen in conditions like psoriasis and vitiligo.
Forms and Administration: Methoxsalen is available in various forms for administration, including:
Oral Tablets: Methoxsalen tablets are taken orally, usually one to two hours before UVA exposure. The dosage and treatment schedule depend on the individual's condition and response to therapy.
Topical Formulations: Some formulations of methoxsalen can be applied topically to the affected areas of the skin before UVA exposure.
PUVA Therapy: PUVA therapy involves the administration of methoxsalen followed by exposure to UVA light. The procedure is usually performed in a medical setting under the supervision of healthcare professionals. The UVA light source can be a specialized device or a light booth.
Side Effects: While PUVA therapy can be effective in treating skin conditions, it can also cause side effects, including:
Nausea and Dizziness: Some people may experience nausea and dizziness after taking methoxsalen orally.
Photosensitivity: Methoxsalen makes the skin sensitive to light, so patients need to avoid sunlight and use protective measures for several hours after treatment.
Skin Irritation: Topical methoxsalen may cause skin irritation in some individuals.
Eye Irritation: Protective eye shields should be worn during UVA exposure to prevent eye irritation.
Contraindications: Methoxsalen is contraindicated in certain conditions, including:
Hypersensitivity: Individuals with a known hypersensitivity to methoxsalen or related compounds should avoid its use.
Porphyria: A group of rare disorders that affect the production of heme, a component of red blood cells.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Methoxsalen is generally avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to potential risks to the fetus or infant.
