boy failures for u - i. yoichi, s. nagi, s. ryusei, b. meguru
summary; in which some boys just love you so much, they simply can't function
genre/extra tags; scenarios, fluff, comedy, projecting my love for dog energy boys, they're so pathetic /pos, bachira is clumsy, ryusei is an embarrassingly horny dude (can confirm, he gets no bitches, absolutely ZERO play!!), nagi... is perfect as he is, yoichi,,,, is just socially awkward around people he has a crush on
[gender neutral reader]
a/n; look at me being fancy this one panel banner, slay. tbh i couldn't think of a good three photos to use for it so i tried this which is kind of nice. anyways i had a sudden thought hit me and it must be done. and what better anime to write for than the one where everyone has unexplainable gay tension between each other. i swear im as caught up as possible i think and i swear the gay tension is like,, crazy.
isagi yoichi is endearing. he's so bad at being normal around you. his face flushed a cute red, and his words barely managing to leave his mouth as you talk to him so sweetly. he doesn't know how to handle a crush. and it's so cute to tease him because he just doesn't know how to respond properly.
the times where he does manage to gain enough confidence to talk a conversation with you, he's never taking the lead in any of them. he's talking [somewhat] normally to you, answering your questions and [attempting] to reply to your thoughts and responses. of course, just don't flirt with him too hard. there's like a 50 percent chance he will understand it or not.
he can't even admire you correctly. when he attempts to give you a compliment, he's saying all the wrong words and apologizing profusely like he offended your entire bloodline. he's so utterly enchanted by you, he wonders if you're an angel sent just for him.
"you're so nice, y/n." "huh?" "i-i mean you're really cute! wait- i didn't mean that! fuck- not that i don't think you look cute! you're really a great person, you know?! sorry! i'm just gonna go back to practice...!"
nagi seishiro is so lazy that you can't help but watch over him. you understand why reo adores him (a little too much). he's a boy with pretty privilege and talent. he talks to you with such honesty that he unintentionally flirts with you. he doesn't know a lot of things well, but even he's had his fair share with understanding liking people (but that's only with the random dating sims he's tried).
when he manages to get on his feet, whether it's for a soccer match or you, he's stuck by you like a cute koala. he whines about everything being "too much of a hassle." but he finds himself walking around looking for you, no matter how far you are. he whines to you about how he had to get up to find you, and he's cuddling close to you. his mouth turned into his signature X shape as he pouts at you, annoyed that you just had to be away from him for more than a minute.
he tries so hard to be around you but at the cost of his laziness, he mutters to you about how much easier it would be if you just stay with him all the time like his purple-haired companion or his cactus pet. he fell for you first, but he makes it so easy for you to fall harder.
"why do you always have to do stuff?" "it's my job, sei." "you should just stay with me all the time. you take care of me so well."
shidou ryuusei is annoyingly desperate for you. if isagi was endearing, shidou was insolent. he speaks before he thinks. he has no shame in chasing after you. it's quite a feat that you haven't even shooed him away as much as sae has. you sort of find a friend in sae because of that. he always rolls his eyes when you mention him. he wonders why you keep being around the blonde jock, and you tell him, "who doesn't love a pathetic man?"
when he talks to you, he just can't read a room with you in it. he's the type of guy to say "this shot is for you." and it hits the goal post and then to his face. of course he'd never actually miss in a real match but i can guarantee that it would happen during a practice match. he unintentionally humiliates himself every time he tries to be cool. if sae is there, it's even worse. he's trying to bump up the flirting up to a 200 and failing miserably to woo either of you.
he's like those tweets where it's like, "how did i pull them? easy. i just went, PLEASEPLEAPLSEPWPLEAPLELA-". without fail, he basically tries to re-enact that but he doesn't even pull you because you'd much rather wait for him to actually be a decent man and grow the rest of his brain. though it doesn't seem he'll learn his lesson anytime soon.
"did i ever tell you how hot you look right now?" "yes. you have. multiple times. today." "please go out with me." "no."
bachira meguru is confusing. he's clingy, blunt, teasing, a little stupid but has the spirit, and an absolute cutie. he's passionate about what he likes. and surprise, surprise, he likes you. he's an infodumper but you don't mind at all. but sometimes those talks take a hard left into just telling you how much he likes you. you better hope you're strong because he will be jumping on you for a hug.
when he's just buzzing with excitement, he can't help but scramble by your side to cling onto you in any way that you will allow him to. he's not as boy failure as the others on this list because even when he fails to capture your heart, he's still succeeding in his book. he loves when you give him any sliver of attention. that's probably his thing as a boy failure. he is a hyper and needy dog who's too big to cuddle with but doesn't care. and you can't say no because then they just stare at you with those big eyes until you cave.
he's the type of guy to be confused when people ask if you're dating him and you say no. "what do you mean we're not dating? i thought this was the dating." he's never actually confessed, but he considers his "s-tier affection" to be confession enough. but he's kind of coward whether he realizes it or not. he's scared to actually say that he wants to be yours, but that's like an angsty story for another time, SO SHUT.
"what if we kissed? like right now?" "but we're not dating, meguru." "we're not? we should." "i'll think about it." "no think! just do!"

solas is canonically bi and i will die on this fucking hill.
trick talking shit about it on twitter in 2015 or whatever means nothing to me. oh you wanted to avoid the depraved bisexual trope, did you?? you mean depraved bisexuals like iron bull who will literally betray and try to kill you in trespasser if you sacrifice the chargers? depraved bisexual zevran who tries to kill you and will try again if your approval isn't high enough in dao? depraved bisexual anders who commits an entire act of terrorism? depraved bisexual isabela who will run off with the qunari artefact in da2 and never return if your approval isn't high enough?? i could go on and those are just the depraved bisexuals. there are plenty of good, non-depraved bisexuals in this game too (leliana, josephine, fenris kinda depending on how you play it), so it's a moot point anyway
esp since as far as depravity actually goes, he's fairly good about the romance. like, his ultimate goal aside, he makes a point of saying in trespasser that he wouldn't sleep with lavellan under false pretenses. that's more than can be said for blackwall, who doesn't think twice about the potential consent issue of sex with someone who doesn't know who you really are
if it wasn't the fact that a good chunk of solas's romance lines were voiced with the male VAs in both base game dai and trespasser, i would be inclined to believe that this was an intentional choice, but given that and the fact that both solas and cullen use gender neutral language in their romances, and only cullen has a line which specifically turns the inquisitor down for being a dude, i find it much more believable that they literally just ran out of time
iirc neither solas nor cullen were going to be romancable to begin with but then they had a bit of extra time and they decided to do it, only to run out of time before finishing the male VAs lines
honestly i'm just frustrated by the fact that we have inconsistent writing and weird cop-out answers that people cling to bc they're offended that their precious straight boy might not actually be straight. i actually saw someone complaining on reddit about how 'refreshing' it was to see a straight character in dragon age like?? what. are you playing the same game? blackwall, cassandra, cullen (who was meant to be bi too but ig had either the same issue or his va was just too much of a bigot to do it), morrigan and alistair all spring to mind lol you're not short on straight people
in any case we can retcon our inky to be nonbinary, so unless they fuck it up by deciding that he's only into female elves and lock out all the nb solavellans who had to choose between male and female inky in dai, which is unlikely, it seems like it won't matter much.
just let me be gay with my silly egg man and i will be happy

What is your opinion on Sting Eucliffe's queer coding?
I’m going to try to keep this as short and sensible as I can, but–You know what? who am I kidding. I know me, and I’ll go ahead and predict this is going to be anything but short or sensible. Buckle up.
Queer coding. The implication that a character is queer through subtext. So the thing is that Fairy Tail is made by Japanese person in Japan, so there's probably a lot that gets lost in translation, or that I interpret very differently because I'm Western European. That being said, I'll share my thoughts on what's commonly pointed out as subtext, as well as the stuff that stands out to me.
First up: Sting's clothing. The fur, the crop top, the single earring (in his left ear; in case you were wondering, that's not the supposed Gay Ear from the 80s/90s)the whatever situation he’s got going on there with his pants that reminds me of cowboy chaps… Yeah, I see it. I definitely see it. I know not to judge a book by its cover, but Sting's outfits don't exactly scream heterosexuality to me, even in the world of Fairy Tail fashion.
Another thing that’s mentioned a lot is his feelings for Natsu. I say feelings because some call it admiration, others call it bromance, some like the idea that there’s romantic attraction involved. I personally think Sting views Natsu as a goal he has set for himself. He wants to be like him, measure up to him in strength and spirit. That's what I'm getting from the way their dynamic is presented. Sting has looked up to Natsu from a young age, when Natsu was 7 years his senior. This was already the case before the dragons slayers traveled through the eclipse gate, and it was the same way before the Tenrou crew disappeared. Because he was still so young when this admiration started, it feels more like a mentor/older brother thing than any queer hint.
What does stand out to me and I've mentioned this often is the harmony between Sting and Rogue. Everything about the way they were presented when we got to know them as new characters. Two mages wielding opposite elements in perfect sync. Their ability to do Unison Raids as if it's nothing. It's giving that “Historians would say they were best friends” vibe. They'll likely never become a canon couple, but they've been presented as a unit from the very start, their names are usually mentioned within the same breath.
I know you specifically asked about Sting, but I also know you love Rogue, so consider this a bonus track:
I think Rogue actually has more of that queer subtext than Sting does. His name alone, “going rogue” can be used to describe behaving against what's considered the norm. Now add in the fact that he was ashamed of his name and its meaning when he was young, and then chose to go by Ryos for a while. He later went back to Rogue, implying he reached a point of self acceptance.
Honoring his name, he was pretty much the outlier within the Sabertooth of the GmG. What made him stand out was that he was kinder, more caring and sympathetic–traits that were considered weaknesses in Jiemmas’s Sabertooth. You know what these traits are also typically associated with? Femininity, which also tends to be a gay criterion.
(Just to be clear, I don't agree with the notion that femininity equals to weakness or gayness, and I think gendering traits is frankly quite ridiculous. I'm just analyzing and seeing some parallels to the toxicity from Sabertooth and that of the real world. Sadly homophobia and misogyny go hand in hand.)
Then there was the “as long as he's here” line. Sorry Rogue, but entrusting your life and sanity to the hands of another man and his proximity to you sounds pretty gay to me.
Back to Sting.
Other, smaller things I'd consider possible queer subtext are:
- he sure likes to fight dudes and watch dudes fight each other.
- he’s never shown to have any interest in women, while I’m sure girls would throw themselves at him because he and Sabertooth were pretty popular.
I probably forgot stuff, despite this post already being longer than a Monday morning without coffee, but I'm calling it a day. I'll end with this official artwork. Are we still considering this subtext, or is this just text? A flashing, multicolor neon sign? Up to you to decide.
PS: past me was right. this was neither short nor sensible.

In my experience as a fandom veteran of [redacted] years, hyperfixating on fictional people is a lot more fun a) as a curated experience that maximizes enjoyment and minimizes 'hate-watching' and ship wars and harassing franchise creators and trolling; and b) when the end-goal of every interaction, fandom contribution, etc. isn't mining for ~problematic elements in a piece of media and/or amongst those who 'like' something the 'wrong' way. I spent last summer mired in health issues from mold poisoning and the house renovations that followed, during which consciously escaping into beloved fictional worlds via Tumblr and AO3 kept me sane(r than I probably would have been otherwise) - knowing that they're there when I need/want to visit is probably going to factor into my survival of the current summer as well ngl. Fandom! Come for the .GIF sets, fanart, meta, memes, (civil) discourse, and friendships; weed out unnecessary drama as much as possible.
Case-in-point, I've been working my way through the original Uncanny X-Men comic run from the 1960s, and Charles Xavier's moral ambiguity is on dazzling, four-color, two-dimensional display, as well as some rather ~dated representations of disability and the era's gender roles. Indeed, those who balk at the Rogue / Magneto ship likely have even more ire for Professor X's old-school skirt-chasing, pipe-smoking incarnation, especially when he struggles not to make his mentor-student relationship with Jean Grey even more inappropriate than it already appears to be. In my personal life, I try to avoid relationship drama, behave ethically, and communicate clearly because, like daydreaming about gay ships, doing so enhances my quality of life. On the other hand, I want to roll around in the stank of all of my favorite fictional hot messes and their bad decisions and 'unhealthy' relationship dynamics and weird sex preferences, essentially for the same reason. Below are clues for an in-post skeevy Charles scavenger hunt for your continued enjoyment:
Charles out-skeeving Mister Sinister;
Chillaxing at the Hellfire Club with Tony Stark;
Mystique remarking on Krakoa! Charles' "gross" notion to create / continue a mutant leg of the CIA;
Early 60s Wolverine isn't a fan of old-school Chuck either;
Charles scaring the crap out of Scott Summers(/other mutants);
The X-Men rough-housing and nearly harming Charles;
Odin Charles in a jaunty wizard disguise;
Jean practically climbing onto Charles' lap during a battle;
Jean taking up both nursing (!!!) and cooking (!!!) duties for Charles and like four gross teenage mutant dudes;
Charles and Jean icing out the other X-Men regarding Charles' impending death(/'death' - he gets revived almost as much as she does), much to Scott, Hank, Iceman, and Angel's discontent.
TL;DR: In the immortal words of the great philosopher, Thor Christopher Hemsworth, "Do stuff, be nice, have fun" aka don't be a dick. Have a great summer!

WAUGH like. Okay. I need to put this on the beloved genderfreak website. I've been having a Problem lately where. I'm a guy okay. He/him dude. But people have started reading me not as A Man (neutral, what I'm typically going for) but as A Cishet Man (scary bc it implies if they figure out I'm trans or queer they'll be less tolerant of me, gross bc they keep assuming I'm good with perpetuating casual misogyny or other bigotry, and unpleasant to me specifically because Being Weird With It is one of the main pillars of my gender). And I know pronouns =/= gender but I also typically hear that in the context of "people can be women who love women and use he/him or they/them for themselves specifically" and less "if I say 'oooooh look at her, gorgeous' that can be a compliment for any non-woman" if that makes sense? Like. If pronouns =/= gender then ANY pronouns NEVER = ANY gender. She/her in the gay way is a whole different masculine gender and pronoun set. To me. I just like. Aughhhhh I love being a guy I love what T has done for me I love getting to live the way I've always wanted. But for me personally the goal has never been "pass as cishet male", the goal originated as "be a man the way David bowie ziggy stardust is". I need my queerness to be a default accepted part of my gender (not necessarily accepted like "we love queer identities" just minimum "clearly this guy is doing Some fruity shit with it"). I try to describe my personal gender as specifically trans man or butch or fag or pansy. But I also feel like somehow I'm betraying trans male identity by wanting personally to foreground it while I know so many people who would Love to be read as cishet men. It's just. How do I explain I'm a binary ftm transmasc trans man he/him transsexual who doesn't want to be a cis man. Nobody on any side of the gender multi-angled polyhedral Space reliably wants to accept and engage with that. It's Unpleasant to me. And I Don't know how to always navigate it.

For long have you known you're genderfluid? And how did you figure it out? Gender is so much more confusing than sexuality
You know if you like dick or tits, but gender? A whole other monster
This is going to sound ridiculous, but I figured it out because of tiktok
In 2020, during the pandemic, I had a full-blown gender and sexual crisis. I still had long hair, but I found a way to make it so it looked short in pictures and when I was wearing a beanie.
Here, I offer you my pretend short hair and half of my face for the first time on Tumblr
(Yes, this is me with long ass hair pretending i have short hair for pics. The logistics were complicated as fuck but i believe i achieved my goal).
Feeling masc made me so so confused. Because i was used and raised to be hyper feminine. I considered the fact that I might be a trans guy, but no. It didn't make sense. Most of the time I didn't quite care about my gender - just my gender presentation -, I 100% did not and do not want to have a dick, I love my chest (for existing. Not for being gigantic the way it is. That I hate) and my curves (your boy has a tiny waist and child bearing hips, yall) so being a full on guy didn't make sense to me
One day I came across this genderfluid tiktoker and they like could transition from looking like a woman to looking like a dude in a snap and I was like THATS IT. THATS EXACTLY WHAT I WANT
Et voilà
I'm a proud and out genderfluid
You are correct. I'm also of the opinion finding your sexuality is easier than the gender
Sexuality is something more "exterior". It's easy to know what you like and don't like If you think hard enough or if you try both flavors (I dated a man and went on dates with men. Not my thing at all. I was uncomfortable the whole time. I'm 100% gay for sure). Gender is a more internal thing and can be tricky
My advice is: if you can, don't give a shit about the labels and just be you. But, if you really feel like you need to put a name on it, research. I'm sure there's a label out there that will fit you 99%, for as obscure as it might be. Whatever it is, wear it proudly and live your best life
#im so sorry if this isnt the best answer#im legit writing this after one of the worst night of my life#im barely awake at all#so im so sorry if it doesnt make sense or smt#transgender#genderfluid#gay#lesbian#queer#anon#ask#also please be gentle about my face#i have self-esteem problems enough

Still genuinely thriving off this transphobic comment this guy at my school made
He saw me enter the boys bathroom as he was leaving and he said to his friend:
“Dude there’s a girl in the boy’s bathroom! 😏”
That that way he said it told me that he thought I was transmasc and he wanted me to overhear and get my feelings all hurt but like
As a genderqueer mf that shit unironically made my day because ✨Gender Goals✨
(Totally not gay that they were going to the bathroom together btw 💀)

For any US Viewers here, we all know Joe Biden hasn't been a good president at all. With both his contributions to Isreal's Terrorism in Palestine along with his incompetence when it comes to doing ANY for the United States of America
We also know the republican party is just as evil as last time. With the options there being either Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis. You can just search them here or on any news site to see why they would be even worse.
HOWEVER, We might not have to settle for Biden.
Now, I am under 18. So I am not allowed to vote. The US Government says my opinion dosen't matter. However, I can influence YOU! The 18+ Year Old US Citizens who DO matter in the eyes of the law

HIIIIIIIII BELOVED MUTUAL WHO LOVES MY LITTLE FREAK 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 thank u for vampire autism permission ily forever
25. How does your Dark Urge feel about Sceleritas Fel?
Pre tadpole Sceleritas was the closest thing he had to consistent emotional support. Sceleritas formed a key cornerstone of the varying pressures that worked to keep Dirge in the cult by being a source of emotional relief (he was free to abuse Sceleritas whenever he saw fit as a form of affection+Scelerias served as one of his only confidantes for the complicated tumultous scenarios bhaal often forced dirge into) and also a method of keeping Dirge isolated (Scleritas's form of affection typically took the form of acts of service, and as his dedicated butler Sceleritas took it upon himself to handle any and every menial task that he felt were too lowly to be performed by his rotten master). the end result is that Dirge completely lacked the skills to meaningfully support himself outside the cult because Sceleritas was handling everything that wasnt ritual worship or murder, and was the closest thing Dirge had to a genuine friend, disincentivizing him from leaving. Can you really bare to abandon the only person who truly cares for you to the same figure your both so terrified of? Dirge had a twisted form of familial affection for the little bastard, as both a caretaker+guardian figure and as a fellow abuse victim (though neither of them perceived it as such, instead forming a toxic loop of justifying bhaals abuses to each other)
Post tadpole Sceleritas is a sign of everything that goes wrong. He shows up after Alfiras murder, tells him to kill Isobel, then informs him hes going to try and kill a party member. None of those are particularly positive encounters, and Dirge doesnt remember enough about his past life to counteract those experiences, which id imagine is hard on the little dude. Dirge views him with a measure of trepidation and disgust all the way through Act 2, and after the Act 3 revelation remembers enough to start viewing him with pity. When everything is all said and done, Dirge would probably say he even misses him, but not enough to make an attempt to bring him back
30. What are your Dark Urge’s intentions/goals after the end of the game?
WIFE GUY WIFE GUY WIFE GUY
In GENERAL its whatever Minthara wants whenever she wants it. Beyond that, hes dedicated himself to perfecting his study of the Necromancy Of Thay's manipulation of life, death, blood, and flesh in the form of fleshwarping magic, the art of necromantically manipulating corpse flesh into novel forms of life. turns out hes a minion guy and adores making soulless abominations of nature. it combines a lot of his passions, vivisection and taxidermy, his medical proficiency, his ambitious knowledge seeking, his blasphemous disregard to the gods, his power hungry tendencies, and also his fondness for companionship mixed with a demigods inability to die. turns out godspawn flesh is compatible with just about anything, and he has a tendency to utilize his own flesh as an arcanic anchor to bind his creations to his will, and will also just graft on replacement limbs and warp them back to normal if he ever gets anything amputated. it takes a while to amount to anything but id imagine long after the events of the game are said and done and most of the companions are long since passed, he makes a really fucking annoying combatant for some plucky group of adventurers cuz the fucker just keeps reusing all that spilled blood to top himself off.
he also uses it for gay transgender sex because it turns out an intimate knowledge of how to shift and warp flesh makes a pretty easy jumping off point to shapeshift your body into whatever gives you gender envy that day. theres a reason why he kept emphasizing orins changeling abilities in his letters to her and its cuz that egg hadnt cracked yet

Hey y’all Imaput all my characters lore here sooooo yeah (it prob wont make sense but oh well)
First, I’m gonna attach pics of them with the names so it doesn’t get tooooo confusing.
Erron (He/Him, pan)
Sage (Genderfluid, any pronouns, Erron’s S.O.)
Adrian (He/Him) Gay
Asher (me) (He/They FtM) (Lesbian)
Error (possesed Erron, no gender really bc it’s sentient technology sooo)
Alex (an angel, dating Adrian, gay, He/Him)
Evin, Asher’s girlfriend (She/They, lesbian, angel)
Venus (He/They/She, angel, main villain) no S.O., aro/ace
I don’t have a name for him but he’s part of Venus’s cult and he looks cool so I’ll just call him hoodie dude I guess (he isn’t the only cult person, but I lost the character of them that I made so just imagine the other cultists as people in black robes with moons and stars and stuff on it, with Venus’s facial markings.
God. Yeah, this is God. No pronouns really, just call them God. (don’t worry, this is the last pic, I know this is a loooong thingie so)
Okay, I’ma start it now (buckle up, it’s a looong one)
Once upon a time, there was a group of friends. (Asher, Erron, Sage, and Adrian, no Evin or Alex yet) They were a very fun and adventurous friend group, spending much of their time together. Erron and Sage were the only couple at the time. One day, Asher suggested they all go explore the forbidden part of the woods, where a cult was rumored to roam. They all agreed, but what they didn’t know was that that very trip would cost them everything. While they went into the woods, Erron got separated from the group. He looked and looked for them, but he found an old piece of technology. (Think of the First One’s Tech in She-Ra) He thought it was a cool thing he could bring back, but when he reached for it something possessed him. Something evil.
—————————————————————————
There were many angels in heaven. Most were good, some were neutral, and one was evil. God’s favorite angel, Venus. Venus was a playful angel as a child. He enjoyed pranking his friends and his mother/father/parent (God). Eventually he became bored, as his powers could do everything, and he had nothing left to do. Except. Toy with the humans. He made it his goal to have as much fun as he could, even traveling down to Earth to start a cult for a few thousand years. He taught them how to make a special kind of technology, one that could serve his purposes. The cult followed him blindly, doing everything he asked. Eventually, the technology became so strong it became sentient. Good. This is just what he wanted. He left for heaven, but the cult grew. It grew in secret, in a way many couldn’t anticipate. Venus waited and watched, for something to happen. And it did. A child, separated from his friends, now under Venus’s control.
—————————————————————————
(I’ma do this in two parts cuz this is already UNREASONABLY LONG)

ya lost? yeah me too
while you're here, why don't i introduce myself? you can call me panko or sharky, either's fine. im a transmasc gay dude whose gender is best described as a png of a shark - my preferred pronouns are he/they. also im 17 years old.
one of my big goals in life is to tell silly stories in cartoon format. for now, i just have these 3 oc worlds i play around with like plushies on my bed:
Boardwalk of Beasts - the big one which i want to turn into a tv show. i unfortunately haven't touched it in a while haha
Gang's Bay - SUPER self-indulgent, basically a weird sitcom in my head. you can read about it here
Give Me Vertigo - a fun genre-hopping story i plan to tell sooner rather than later. story is VERY much a WIP but it might be an interactive blog thing idk yet
you can find my posts about them in their respective tags; it's just their titles so it's easy (the gang's bay tag excludes the apostrophe)
stuff i post
fair warning, some of the things i post aren't very kid-friendly. if my blog were a tv show, i'd rate it TV-14 for strong language, sexual references, and depictions of drugs and alcohol. if you're not into that stuff, or under 14-16, i'd advise you to keep your distance.
i do indeed post a lot of art, though mostly just rough doodles or joke drawings. i make both oc art and fanart, and the occasional animatic.
i LOVE sharks, and marine bio in general, and just about anything to do with the water. definitely a huge non-media side interest of mine
also i will never be normal about the music i listen to. im an alt-rock junkie and my favorite bands as of now are incubus and pearl jam (i listen to one band's music exclusively for months at a time.)
some past fixations of mine are invader zim, corner gas and milo murphy's law. not in that order. im highly likely to post about those as well as splatoon. feel like i might be forgetting something but idk
you may find me hanging out in the live chat of failboat's streams as one of his chat mods. i've been in the community for about 6 years running (6 years too long if you ask anyone normal). i also draw him SO much in my funny cartoony way that looks a lot like him but also not at all.
when im not posting about any of the stuff listed above, i just ramble. it's probably annoying but hey if you're following me that's what you get lol
well this got long. i really cant make just a normal bullet list can i. well hey, if you like what you see, consider dropping a follow! feel free to interact with me too, i may be a shark guy but i dont bite :P
if you're not lookin' to follow just yet, go ahead and dive into the rest of my blog! yeah that one was forced. whatever you decide to do, i'll catch ya later :D

Damn apparently ppl think im not a transguy bc i have different views of sex and gender.
wowww. how surprising/sar
Anyways, yeah im a gay trans dude. Im sorry my views are different but thar doesn't allow ppl to be dicks about it.
we disagree, thats okay. We're adults, i still say we fight for trans rights.
I hope your transition goes well
I dislike that people are so quick to assume you're not who you say you are, but I can see why. You use terminology exclusively used to separate transgender women and men and nonbinary folk from womanhood, manhood, femininity, and masculinity. It's used by "gender critical", "radical feminist" and "TERF" groups exclusively to deny peoples gender identity. It's not uncommon for members of these groups to impersonate a transgender person or put on a facade as a transgender person to fabricate evidence for their cause or cause problems for others on purpose.
I won't say your views are entirely incorrect, but I will definitively say you have a tinted lens you're looking through. Take a look at how others engage in masculinity, the language they use, and how people try to oppress them. You might learn something, and heck, you might come back and correct me on a few things. I'm a transgender woman, I'm not living the experiences of someone who's trans masculine or a transgender man; there's going to be aspects I just won't get unless you can explain it to me like I'm five because my own lens of observation is tinted a certain way too.
Sure we don't agree, but that can simply be a matter of knowledge and experience difference, even age. It's possible the language I use and the language you use carry different connotations depending on our respective time-frames of contact with these words and we're communicating similar ideas just with different terms. The field of science around gender identity has taken a massive leap forward over the years. And it can also be frame of reference, whether our learning environment has a conservative or liberal leaning and that in turn will change the kind of information we have access to to educate ourselves. It's kind of important to look at everything, even the stuff we don't agree with, so we can educate ourselves not only on the perceptions we face, but why we disagree and what the cold facts are.
The end point however, yeah, we're both transgender, and there's a lot of varied transgender folk like us. We're all under threat, our enemies want nothing but our complete annihilation to support their binary gender, sex = gender fallacy fueled patriarchal fantasy where everyone is straight, and ideally as white as possible. Recognizing their bullshit arguments and taking them down is the goal because transgender rights are human rights. None of us are free until all of us are.

Thanks for your answer! Ok I get how a lesbian could be with a transman, that's still the same sex just very masculine. Or a straight woman with a transwoman, that's still opposite sex just very feminine. The masculinity or femininity is the preference. But what about those "straight" men who are into TW and say they're straight? If they really are straight, does that mean sexuality IS based on gender for some people? But wouldn't everyone who claims that just be bisexual in the end?
And you're right, most people don't fully pass / aren't fully transitioned ofc, but I'm wondering about that tiny minority.
im gonna tell u right now a lot of “straight” men hit on my very feminine gay male friend. this friend has not taken any hormones, has a very much male body, and simply has long hair & wears makeup & androgynous clothing. his face is somewhat feminine but that’s the extent of it. ppl can immediately tell he’s a man. but “straight” men loveeee going for him and fetishising him. we know the truth: they’re not straight. they’re in denial and think a feminine man is somehow not a man so it’s a-ok but there’s nothing straight about, for example, jeffree star’s “straight” ex-boyfriend of several years. like idk maybe some dudes r genuinely straight but go for the very passing trans women w bottom surgery bc “any hole is a goal” or w/e but the majority from what ive seen are just bi men with strong preferences
#many lesbians also say they’re bi bc they’ll date women n trans men but. it’s the same. they’re still lesbians just under another label#anyways those guys r just tryna argue it’s somehow not indicative of their sexuality but like .. for many it rly is

New pieces and an interview with Transinspired Media!
Good afternoon!
Firstly, I did an interview earlier this week with Transpired Media, and it's out now.
youtube
Transpired Media is a new media and news collective whose goal it is to directly centre trans narratives and trans voices, and they're just getting off the ground right now. You should check them out and given them a follow on YouTube, Twitter, Tumblr.
For media recs, I enjoyed A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge (1985) this week, as well as the related documentary, Scream, Queen! My Nightmare on Elm Street (2019) starring Mark Patton, who played the protagonist in Freddy's Revenge.
I've written an updated list of movie recs building on the big MLM rec list I did a few years ago, and there's like 70-something films and TV series linked on the list, so it might be nice to have a glance through!
More gay (or bi) dudes in movies! is on Medium and also on Patreon, and there's a list to peruse on Letterboxd for ease of checking off films you've seen and not!
April's Top Story: Slime Breeder
Erotic short. An elf is used as a distraction as his party fight a gigantic slime.
3.5k. Rated E. A trans masc elf getting fucked from all ends by a giant slime creature, used as a seedbed by it, then played with by his variously gendered friends in the aftermath.
Mildly to very dubious consent here, but Sam is absolutely enjoying himself by the end of it - featuring a giant slime monster, aphrodisiacs, tentacle sex, encasement, choking, oviposition and egg-laying, cumflation, overstimulation, anal, oral, and vaginal penetration, objectification, lactation, milking. All that fun and beastly stuff!

Film Essay: The Straight Male Gaze on Pretty Male Gays
How does it feel when straight men want to fuck us?
A quick little intro — I went ham on this one. I watched A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge and it just gave me a lot of feelings.
Warnings throughout this piece for discussion of the film’s gore and violence, the homophobia both in- and out- of universe, sexual violence, homophobia in general. I use a lot of slurs in this one because I self-identify with a lot of them, and a lot of this piece is about the ways in which queer identity is weaponised and not weaponised against us.
Bon appetit.

Romance Short: Tailor's Hands
A newly out man falls for a local tailor.

i have minor musings that arent based in anything outside of the anecdotal that transmascs who are/have been lesbians/involved in the lesbian community might be overall less interested in building spaces with cis men (non-homogenously, and also depending on whether they’ve been heavily involved in cis-male spaces in other contexts I think, like the “how to transition when your models of masculinity are macho biker dudes” essay) than transmascs who came to their trans-masculinity in other ways
(this isn’t technically about sports, but my main examples are sports, because I am doing a lot of sports-related research -- a little vague, but fill-in-yer-own-examples where you see them fit with a question)
this not as any kind of judgement of the first or the second very broad-strokes brushing groups, I was just thinking that I was having a lot of conversations with transmascs who were also lesbians, or had formerly id’d as lesbians, and we were talking about space-building in sports in particular (but not singularly), and most of them were thinking that the best scenario would be spaces inclusive of cis-women, trans people, nb people, but no cis men
they were thinking far more about keeping ties with their lesbian communities as a matter of priority, because that is their community, while I (and a few others who either were never in lesbian communities or were in heavily mixed communities) were thinking about what it would take for us to feel safe within spaces with a lot of cis men in them, because we want to be in those spaces, and so the access needs were different
it set up an interesting new complication for me about what is needed in both of these contexts -- can an acronym like “FLINTA” (female, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans, agender) hold enough space? do these spaces need to consider more how non-binary people can look and be, and what forms of behaviours do they require from everyone that needs to be learned, etc.
vs. what work do cis men need to do to make sure people/transmasc people feel safe (incl. spaces that are majority gay men), can a space majority made out of cis men create these foundations at this point in time, is there something transmasc people need to bring/learn about what that could entail, what does it mean for cis men to incorporate a trans philosophy into their masculinity, etc.
and how do trans women and transfemme and nb people have the ability to move fluidly between these spaces (a fair few gay sports spaces for men include trans women, who may prefer that to entering a “women and non-binary people” or FLINTA space, for all kinds of reasons), do we impose too many gendered limitations in order to try to create safer spaces? how do these affect all trans people?
and what a third version (heavily geared towards women, trans people, nb people, inclusive of cis men), fourth version (transmasc only), fifth version (lesbian-only, including trans men and trans women with ties to lesbianism, but not including straight women or cis men), sixth (queer of any stripes), seventh (a completely different main focus with some form of gendered component consciously included or not, ex. race, ethnicity, dis/ability, intersex identities, etc), potential eighth, ninth, etc. version of this might look like as well
and then finally, going back to that essay I linked above, what are our own limitations and assumptions and scar tissues doing to hinder our actual goals (gender liberation). are we approaching these questions intensely from our own experiences and has that made it difficult to be as open as we may need to be (yes, speaking for myself, but we’re trying!)
the TL;DR there is more between heaven and earth than an easy “this works better than that” and that is a feature and not a bug if we allow ourselves to look past ourselves without fear
#ramblerambleramble#queer stuff#trans stuff#transmasc stuff#a lot of this has to do with some research im doing into football/soccer inclusion#this is very surface-level but it's simply an acknowledgement of some questions#and also my continued poking at my own baby transmasculinity#(to be fair was there but i didnt acknowledge it because i needed to set myself at nothing first so i could explore on my own terms)#me
